The star of the Back to the Future franchise posted a handful pictures that look straight out of a photo album. Theyre accompanied by a simple and sweet caption that reads, 35 years of laugher, living, listening and loving you @tracy.pollan. Thank you for it all. Forever yours, Mike.

Introduction

Defining Fiat Money

Fiat money is tender not backed by a tangible asset or commodity like gold or silver. Its usually mandated by governments, but this isnt always the case. The currencies we use for everyday transactions in the modern era are all examples of fiat money, such as the U.S. dollar (USD), the euro (EUR), the pound (GBP) or the Chinese Yuan (CNY).

The term fiat is a Latin word that means by decree or let it be done, representing an arbitrary order that reflects the issuance of money as a government enactment. Fiat is one form of money, along with representative and commodity money. While fiat money comes in various forms physical banknotes, coins or digital units representative money merely represents an intent to pay, like a cheque. Commodity money has an intrinsic value derived from the commodity it is made of; for example, precious metals, food and even cigarettes.

How Fiat Money Works

The currency itself has no intrinsic value but derives its worth from trust in the government that issues it; it is not representative of another asset like gold, silver or any other financial instrument.

Government Decree: Fiat money is declared by the government to be the official currency of a country and is typically designated as legal tender. This means that banks and financial institutions must adjust their systems to allow the currency to be accepted as a form of payment for goods, services and debts within a given country. There are some exceptions to this rule, with Scotland being the prime example.

Legal Status: Whereby the new money is given the status of legal tender, meaning it must be accepted as payment within the country. Laws and regulations are established to ensure the proper functioning of fiat money. These regulations cover issues such as counterfeiting, fraud and the overall stability of the financial system.

Acceptance and Trust: The value of fiat money is based on the belief and trust that it can be exchanged for goods and services and the illusion that it will retain its value over time. The general acceptance of fiat money by the public and its use in everyday transactions are crucial for its functioning. Should the majority recognize the power of compounding inflation, they may begin to lose confidence in the governments money.

Central Bank Control: Central banks are responsible for maintaining the stability and integrity of the currency. They control and monitor the supply of base money and adjust it based on economic conditions and monetary policy goals. By managing the money supply, central banks aim to maintain price stability and promote economic growth.

What Were Your Experiences Dating Older Women? Heres What People Had to Say. "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

AROlderWomen What Were Your Experiences Dating Older Women? Heres What People Had to Say.

Have you ever dated a woman who was older than you?

If so, what did you learn?

Was it a good experience or a bad one?

While you ponder your answers to those questions, check out what folks on AskReddit had to say about this.

Start now!

A great relationship.

My wife was 15 years older than I am.

We were together 40 years till she d**d of cancer. It was a good relationship and marriage.

I know it would not work for everyone but we were happy.

It was good.

When I was 30 I dated a 42-year-old.

It was pretty great. She was grounded, successful, easy going, and she knew what she wanted and didnt want from life.

Eventually, she decided we werent working out as a couple, so she made me breakfast, broke up with me very matter of factly, took me to bed one last time, and said goodbye.

It was the best breakup Ive ever had.

Going well.

Im 33 and I just started seeing some one who is 10 years older than me.

Its pretty awesome so far, she knows what she wants and tells me what she means.

Plus the s** is outstanding.

Didnt work out.

Girfriend was 19 years older than me.

I was 30 when we met, she was 49. Lived together for over 10 years. she had been divorced twice and had two teenage girls, I became like a step dad. I loved her (and her kids) and wanted to stay...

Bitcoin At Decision Point As Investors Hold Neutral Sentiment "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

<p>Bitcoin may be at a decision point right now as investor sentiment is exactly neutral. Which way will the market tip in the coming days?</p> <h2>Bitcoin Fear & Greed Index Suggests Market Is Neutral

A few days back, Bitcoin had observed a sharp plunge that had taken the cryptocurrencys value towards the $29,000 level. In the days that followed, the asset had only consolidated around these relatively low levels, but during the last 24 hours, things appear to have changed a bit.</p> <p>The impetus for this latest volatility appears to have been the US Federal Reserve (Fed)<a href= "https://www.newsbtc.com/breaking-news-ticker/fomc-delivers-expected-0-25-rate-hike-bitcoin-holds-steady-above-29000/" rel="noopener" target="_blank"> hiking interest rates by an expected 25 bps</a>. Shortly after the FOMC meeting had announced this increase, Bitcoin started to surge, giving investors hope that the coin may be traveling back toward the $30,000 level.</p> <p>This new rise, however, seems to have already run out of steam, as BTC has fallen back to lower levels. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading around $29,400, down 2% in the past week.</p> <p><img alt="Bitcoin Price Chart" class= "alignnone size-medium aligncenter" height="877" src= "https://www.tradingview.com/x/cSuxzYLF/" width="1534"></p> <p>While Bitcoin has retraced from its peak during the past day, the cryptocurrency is still up a net amount in this period, meaning that the asset has managed to hold onto some recovery nonetheless.</p> <p>The fact remains, though, that the coin has been unable to keep up its upward trend, a sign that the market is still perhaps indecisive about its direction. This is reflected in the general investment sentiment in the space, as the <a href= "https://www.newsbtc.com/news/crypto-fear-greed-index-drops-to-one-month-low-heres-what-it-means/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Fear & Greed Index shows.</p> <p><img alt="Bitcoin Fear & Greed Index" class= "alignnone size-full wp-image-544580 aligncenter" height="331" src= "https://www.newsbtc.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/METER.png" width="369"></p> <p>The Fear & Greed index makes use of various market-related metrics (like volatility, dominance, and volume) to judge what the most likely sentiment of the average participant in the sector is currently.

This index has a value of 51 right now, which means that the Bitcoin investor sentiment is almost exactly in the balance. This lack of direction in the market isnt a new development; the investors have been leaning towards neutrality for a week or so now.</p> <p>...</p>

The Human Rights Foundation Announces 20 BTC Bounty Challenge For Bitcoin Development "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In what is perhaps the most articulate and thorough Bitcoin grant offering to date, the Human Rights Foundation (HRF) has announced a 20 BTC set of bounty challenges in support of open-source Bitcoin developers building tools and services that increase the functionality of Bitcoin. These selections, inspired by the HRFs research and work with activists across the world, were carefully chosen to perpetuate usability and increase privacy applications within Bitcoin, the Lightning Network, ecash and Nostr.

The challenges will run through the end of 2024, with any unclaimed bounties being converted back into the HRFs Bitcoin Development Fund. The bounties themselves have a clear privacy, censorship-resistance, and self-sovereignty focus, bringing much needed attention towards some of the greater problems Bitcoin faces today.

The first bounty is a 2 BTC reward to port the Bitcoin UI Kit to the open-source Penpot project from its current Figma file format. This kit is a large set of design components for builders to use when developing Bitcoin projects. In its current format, its use is limited to those operating proprietary software, and the HRF aims to sponsor the replication of the Bitcoin UI Kit on Penpot, actualizing free access and self-hosted instances.

The second bounty is a 2 BTC reward for a serverless implementation of a payjoin protocol. The bounty specifically calls send and receive Payjoin transactions without requiring a sender or recipient to operate a public server. The Serverless Payjoin bounty asks for use of BIP-21 unified bitcoin URIs, and to remain independent from a trusted third party (hence serverless) which could expose user privacy in a non-trivial way.

The third bounty is another 2 BTC reward for the creation of a Nostr client implementation of end to end encrypted group chats which is incapable of leaking metadata to potentially malicious third parties. In order to be eligible, the group chat must enable three or more users to communicate, with no ability for outside adversaries to gather the content of the messages, nor the identity or frequency of the users messaging.

The fourth bounty is a 2 BTC reward for a mobile Bitcoin wallet capable of receiving and sending Silent Payments without the use of a client-side full node. The wallet must be open-source and multi-platform, with a backend that is interoperable with other mobile wallets. The bounty asks for compliance with the Silent Payments BIP, written by Josie Bake.

The fifth bounty, a 2 BTC reward for Human Readable Offers, calls for a bolt 12 offer generator to be integrated into a mobile wallet. Ideally, a bolt 12 offer could be communicated from a phone screen to a human without the use of copy and paste or a QR code scan, similar to how a Bitcoin...

Shibarium Bridge Goes Live In Beta But Theres A Catch "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Shiba Inus development team has announced a significant advancement in the SHIB ecosystem. With the introduction of the Shibarium Bridge, users will have a new way to interact with the ecosystem. However, as this technology is still in its beta phase, the team behind Shiba Inu (SHIB) is urging the community to exercise caution.

A team representative known as Lucie recently announced the Shibarium Bridges beta release. This addition to the Shibarium network was first introduced to the public in April and has since progressed from being partially functional to undergoing public testing.

Shibarium Bridge: New Level Of Interoperability?

Constructed on the foundation of Plasma Bridge technology, the Shibarium Bridge presents a noteworthy degree of cross-functionality between Shibarium and Ethereum. By employing a collection of proof-of-stake validators, this bridge paves the way for Shiba Inu users to execute transactions with a reduced need for intermediaries and a diminished risk profile.

The bridge is also compatible with the ERC-20 token standard, the prevalent token format within the Ethereum network. Notably, the Shibarium Bridge is expected to serve as a solution for scaling, an indispensable facet for any blockchain network aiming to manage substantial transaction volumes without compromising speed or efficiency.

While the beta release of Shibarium Bridge marks a significant milestone, it comes with a word of caution from the SHIB team. Lucie urged users not to use real tokens while the technology remains in its beta phase, including the currently running...

From intricate, laser-cut tendrils to vibrantly patterned collages, a new exhibition at The Torggler in Newport News, Virginia, explores the vast potential of a conventionally utilitarian material. Possibilities of Paper brings together thirteen artists from around the U.S. and Canada who have developed practices centered around experimentation and precision, employing a diverse range of techniques and styles that transform an everyday medium into elaborate works of art.

Wall works, freestanding sculptures, and large-scale installations comprise the comprehensive look at paper-based art being made today, including a monumental piece by Michael Velliquette suspended from the ceiling, Samuelle Greens immersive sphere made of thousands of petals, and Roberto Benavidezs piatas inspired by the frenzied characters of Hieronymus Bosch. Many of the artists begin their compositions using pristine, new sheets of paper, while others reinterpret objects like books, maps, and paper plates into woven or carved forms. Short-Lived Hype: Worldcoin (WLD) Signups Dwindle Less Than A Week After Launch "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Newly-launched project Worldcoin has failed to achieve significant progress as signups for the platforms Digital ID continues to dwindle since launching on July 24.

What Is Wrong With Worldcoin?

Controversies surrounding the project and reservations like privacy concerns have brought about skepticism and reluctance to sign up on the platform. As part of the sign-up process, users must scan their iris using The Orb, available at designated locations worldwide. Once the user is verified as human, they receive the World ID alongside 25 WLD, the projects native token, worth roughly $60.

Many have questioned how safe it is to use The Orb and how the project will handle such sensitive data, with prominent figures like Twitters former CEO Jack and Ethereums co-founder Vitalik Buterin expressing their concerns.

Stark Difference Between Pre-Launch And Post-Launch Figures

Worldcoin saw an impressive 2 million sign-ups before the projects launch. However, there seems to be a stark difference between the pre-launch and post-launch numbers.

Hong Kong was one of the cities with the most number of sign-ups. The South China Morning Post reported that the three designated locations in Hong Kong saw a combined total of about 600 sign-ups on the first day.

According to the report, Heather Huang, an operator of one of the Orbs in the city, asserted that the 600 sign-ups accounted for almost half of the total Worldcoin sign-ups on launch day.

If 600 sign-ups represent half of the total sign-ups on the first day, that will invariably mean only about 1,200 people signed up on launch day a not-so-impressive figure compared to how many Worldcoin claims signed up pre-launch.

Worldcoin (WLD) price chart from TradingView.com

Worldcoins Co-Founder Reacts

In what may be a direct response to the alleged dwindling signups, Worldcoins co-founder and Open AI CEO Sam Altman tweeted a video of many users queuing to sign up at what looks like one of the designated locations of The Orb.

He posted the video with the caption:

Institutional Bitcoin Products Will Drive Demand Ahead Of The Next Halving "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

This is an opinion editorial by Marc Taverner, CEO of XEROF, a digital-asset-focused financial services provider.

At long last, were entering the era of bitcoin financial products. After several attempts at regulatory approval from numerous financial firms, players like BlackRock may finally get their U.S. bitcoin ETF approved, while global firms like Deutsche Bank are seeking their own crypto licenses.

These institutional movers could be looking to hold bitcoin on their balance sheets ahead of the next halving. But make no mistake: I believe their larger play is to develop financial products for accredited investors and their normal customers to access bitcoin.

Its important to note here that I said financial products. They are unlikely to pursue these licenses and approvals only to make it possible for their customers to buy bitcoin directly. This is for several reasons, all of which I hear regularly in my work as a licensed digital asset provider in Switzerland. Heres why these large banks, investment firms, family offices, etc., wont just buy bitcoin.

Why Financial Firms Wont Buy Bitcoin For Their Balance Sheets

First, most customers dont know how to open or manage their own bitcoin wallets. By customers, were not just referring to retail customers, but also to sophisticated money managers and institutions. Wallets are still an unforgiving and complex element of bitcoin management. Offering direct bitcoin purchases at scale requires infrastructure and education that these institutions are behind in cultivating. Not to mention that they would need to compete with the established dominance and captive market of companies like Coinbase.

Second, financial firms wont be investing in bitcoin directly because holding the asset itself securely (unless you have a dedicated bitcoin security team) is hard to manage. And that is before they consider how to manage it for thousands or millions of customers. Holding direct bitcoin in wallets makes their institution a target for hackers, criminals or internal bad actors. I have seen an influx of consultancies helping these institutions create their own highly-secure cold storage processes and procedures. However, like the bank heist movies tell us, no system is completely immune to infiltration.

Third, buying bitcoin could reflect a loss of assets under management (AUM). If these institutions were to help their family offices or wealth managers directly buy bitcoin, that is no longer an asset they manage. This amount of AUM is a critical metric for banks, investment ma...

Is Arbitrum Promise Fading? Downtime, Metrics Decline Raise ARB Price Alarms "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Arbitrum (ARB), a Layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum, has been on an eventful journey, with its promise of enhanced scalability and efficiency facing continuous scrutiny.

Recent downtime incidents and declining metrics have raised concerns among investors and users, challenging the networks resilience.

This kind of downtime raises concerns about the networks stability and the potential impact on users and DeFi protocols running on the platform.

Traders and investors, already cautious about the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency landscape, may need more time to engage with a network facing repeated disruptions.

ARB Incident Raises Eyebrows

A notable incident was reported via Twitter, where Arbitrum seemingly experienced a block production halt for approximately 15 minutes. The information surfaced through the Arbitrum scanner, but the exact cause of the disruption remained unclear. It was uncertain whether the issue originated from the scanner itself or if the network had indeed stopped producing blocks during that time.

This occurrence was not an isolated event for Arbitrum, as it had previously faced outages, including one in January that prompted a public statement from Offchain Labs, the team behind the development of Arbitrum.

Challenges In Metrics And TVL

In addition to the downtime concerns, Arbitrum has been experiencing declining metrics and a recent slump in its token price. As per CoinGecko, the cost of ARB stood at $1.20, with a 24-hour rally of 2.8%. However, over the last seven days, the token declined 8.1%, reflecting the uncertainty and hesitancy among investors following the downtime incidents.

Things are a hell of a lot different (and harder) when youre out of your parents house and living on your own.

Lets hear from AskReddit users about what they think teens should know about the real world.

Look out for yourself.

People tend to do whats necessary for them in the moment without thinking much about others besides who are directly next to them.

So yes, trust people less.

None of your friends are loaning you $200 so stop lending it out to people when they need it and the like.

Good one.

Life never settles down.

If something is important to you then you should get to it ASAP.

Dont get complacent or pass up opportunities because you think more will come along. Before you know it youve lost ten years saying Ill do it next week.

It never stops.

Everything is expensive when you move out.

And nothing is free. You always pay in some way or another, both private and work life.

Once I asked a consultant an easy yes or no question (since he was already on site and stood in front of me).

He sent me an invoice for it.

Crypto Analyst Predicts Bitcoin To Drop By 20% In Coming Weeks "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Bitcoin (BTC) has shown much resilience in the wake of the US Federal Reserve announcing a 25 basis points hike in the Federal Funds Rate (FFR) on Wednesday.

Based on data from CoinMarketCap, the premier cryptocurrency is up by 0.78% in the last 24 hours, with the majority of the market also posting notable gains. However, a crypto analyst has predicted a significant bearish trend for the market leader.

Incoming Dip For Bitcoin?

According to a technical report on July 27 by an analyst with the Twitter handle @CryptoFaibik, BTC is likely to plummet in value by 15-20% in the coming weeks.

Related Reading: FOMC Delivers Expected 0.25% Rate Hike, Bitcoin Holds Steady Above $29,000

However, the analyst noted that Bitcoin could first hit the $32,000 mark, indicating an imminent potential 8.6% gain on the tokens current market price.

Following @CryptoFaibiks predictions, BTC is then expected to fall to around $25,000, with a breakout below its current ascending channel, as seen on the daily chart.

While this might be an interesting projection, it is worth stating that there were no specific reasons backing this bearish outlook. In fact, there has been a positive sentiment surrounding Bitcoin in the last few weeks.

Besides its recent positive performance in the face of the Fed rate hike, the market leader appears to be poised for an increase in institutional demand.

Currently, prominent asset managers have filed applications with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) seeking approval to launch the firs...

Job hunting isnt anyones idea of a great time, and websites like LinkedIn can make the whole process a little less painful.

TikToker Lex (@lexaveee) learned this lesson the hard way when she applied for and got a job through LinkedIn.

Or so she thought.

Before she started actually working for the company, she discovered the entire thing was a scam.

The crazy part is that everything about it seemed so legit. Like, these people are good at what they do.

Dogecoin Ascendance: How It Captured PEPE Investors Attention "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Dogecoin (DOGE) has been making headlines again with its recent price rally, causing a significant impact on the PEPE network and its investors. As the price of DOGE surged around mid-July, on-chain data indicates that investors began to abandon their holdings in PEPE, leading to a sharp decline in the networks activity.

Daily Active Addresses, a crucial metric used to gauge the level of network activity, took a hit during this period. On July 14, PEPE recorded 5,086 active users. However, by the close of July 25, that number had plummeted to a mere 1,999 daily dynamic addresses, representing a staggering 61% decline.

This abrupt drop in network usage suggests that many investors shifted their attention and funds towards DOGE, leaving PEPE behind.

Dogecoin Hype Leaves PEPE In The Dust

The reason for this shift in investor behavior can be attributed to DOGEs recent impressive performance in the market. Over the past seven days, DOGE saw a surge of 11.6%, reaching a price of $0.079, according to CoinGecko. DOGE also experienced a slight 0.7% climb in the past 24 hours.

AITA for denying an older woman shelter from a storm?

I (23F) am an avid hiker in Australia. Last week I encountered a middle aged woman, around 50 years old as I was coming off a trail. She was walking in my direction as I came out of the bush.

It was strange to see her, the sun was almost down and the weather was starting to turn. also, this was an intermediate collection of trails at best, difficult even for me at worst. and she didnt look super athletic. Point is, my weird radar was going off already.

She walked up to me and stopped, standing too close for my comfort, gestured toward the clearing where my car was parked, and asked whether it was my car. No greeting or anything. When I looked over something made me uncomfortable- there were no cars other than mine in sight. Oppenheimers Secret City: The Story Behind the Stealthy Creation of Los Alamos, New Mexico "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

We think of the atomic bomb as a destroyer of cities, namely Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But its development also produced a city: Los Alamos, New Mexico, an officially non-existent community in which the necessary research could be conducted in secret. More recently, it became a major shooting location for Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolans new movie about the titular theoretical physicist remembered as the father (or one of the fathers) of the atomic bomb based on his work as the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory. You can learn more about that laboratory, and the town of 6,000 constructed to support it, in the new Vox video above.

Los Alamos was necessary to the Manhattan Project, as the R&D of the worlds first nuclear weapon was code-named, but it wasnt sufficient: other secret sites involved included a nuclear reactor under a University of Chicago football field; the Alabama Ordinance Works, for producing heavy water; a large plant for the enrichment of uranium and production of some plutonium in Oak Ridge, Tennessee; and the Hanford Engineer Works in Washington State, which produced even more plutonium.

Folks, hang on tight!

Because today were going to enjoy another story from Reddit about someone who maliciously compliedand is doing just fine!

You gotta love it!

Take a look at this womans story and see what you think.

Husband who dumped me now pays me not to file for divorce.

My husband of 25 years decided he wanted to split up. I unsuccessfully begged him to change his mind, and spent a lot of nights crying on the bathroom floor.

One thing to note is that I carried the health insurance for the family. He is self-employed.

When he wouldnt change his mind, we filed for legal separation and he moved out. In the meantime, I got a BANGIN new job that covers 100% of the health and dental insurance premiums for the entire family, with a $100 deductible. Sweeeeet.

He is still allowed to be on my insurance, since we are legally separated rather than divorced, and it costs me nothing to have him on my insurance. But I am petty as hell. So I charge him $400 a month for something that costs me $0. He of course is welcome to get insurance on his own in the marketplace, which would probably cost at least 2x that amount for an equivalent policy.

I make sure he knows it costs me nothing, nada, zip to have him on my insurance, and that his $400/ month payment is funding my upcoming trip to Spain.

If you have a legal separation, getting a divorce in my state is just a matter of filing a fo...

Why Is Bitcoin And The Crypto Market Up Today? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The Bitcoin and crypto markets are experiencing a slight upswing today, with BTC and other major altcoins making gains. The main catalyst behind this uptrend appears to be yesterdays Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting.

At the time of writing, Bitcoins price is up by 0.8% in the last 24 hours, currently trading at $29,486. Despite facing resistance around the critical resistance area of $29,750, BTC has shown resilience and is attempting to reclaim its upward trajectory. Moreover, other major cryptocurrencies are also in the green, with Ethereum (+1.0%), XRP (+1.4%), Cardano (+3%), and Solana (+7%) all enjoying gains.

Bitcoin Follows TradFis Reaction

The FOMC meeting has been a focal point for the crypto markets movements. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell reiterated that the central bank remains data-dependent, indicating that further interest rate hikes are not ruled out. However, no decision on the matter has been reached yet.

Powell emphasized that core inflation (both PCE, CPI) remains the primary focus. He also stated that FED will stop raising rates way before the inflation target of 2% is reached. However, the big bummer was his statement that he does not expect inflation to fall below 2% before 2025!

Bitcoin experienced a quick dip in response to this Powell statement, but quickly rebounded, seemingly following the trajectory of traditional financial markets. Notably, the Dow Jones rose for a 13th consecutive day after the FOMC meeting yesterday, signaling investors confidence in a bullish market sentiment.

Experts and analysts in the cryptocurrency space have offered diverse opinions on the implications of the FOMC meeting and Powells remarks. Jim Bianco, an influential figure in the financial industry and founder of Bianco Research LLC, highlighted the lack of clarity in the Feds communication, stating:

It is provided the LEAST amount of information of any meeting since they started hiking in March 2022. Powell is going out of his way to say nothing and not commit to anything. So, this meeting has become a Rorschach test. Everyone sees into it what they want.

And this is seemingly what the traditional finance as well as crypto markets are doing. The big question is: how long will the Fed hold rates up, how long before it pivots. As this is data dependent, no one knows, but market expectations and the Feds projections still seem far apart.

While the CMEs FedWatch tool currently predicts a slight majority in favor of a first rate cut already in March 2024, Powell made it clear yesterday in a hawkish tone that the key rate must remain high for a long time because the effects need time to have an impact on the economy.

while the Soul feels calm, safe and at home with existence.

The Ego sacrifices the present for a never-coming future,
while the Soul savors the eternal now.

The Ego talks to an external God, begging for forgiveness,

Polygon Warning Signs Point To Slide In MATIC Price On Support Breakdown "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Polygon (MATIC) has been experiencing a mix of price action, with a 24-hour rally of 3.5% that hints at potential positive movement. However, the coin has suffered a 4.4% slump over the past seven days, indicating underlying bearish sentiments in the market.

Despite the short-term surge, the weekly time frame presents a negative outlook, primarily due to the failure to break through a long-term horizontal resistance.

Adding to the bearish pressure, an ascending trendline has been broken, signaling a potential further decline in MATICs price.

One of the significant factors contributing to MATICs current bearish scenario is its inability to surpass the significant resistance zone of around $0.80.

This area had been acting as a strong support level for the altcoin, providing stability during various price fluctuations. However, this support became a formidable resistance over the past two weeks, thwarting MATICs attempts to climb higher.

Polygon (MATIC) Ascending Trendline Breakdown

An ascending trendline is a sloping line that connects a series of ascending lows in an uptrend. It represents a rising level of support and is often used to gauge the strength of a bullish trend.

The breakdown of this trendline indicates a shift in sentiment, suggesting that buyers are losing control and sellers are gaining momentum.

The breakdown of the ascending trendline sets the stage for a potential 22% drop in MATICs price. If the coin fails to find strong support at lower levels, this decline could be the next crucial movement for the cryptocurrency.

Traders and investors must closely monitor price action to determine if MATIC can stabilize or if further losses are on the horizon.

Bear Trap Scenario And Bullish Recovery

However, there is a glimmer of hope for MATICs price trajectory. If buyers can...

SOL Price Prediction: Solana Hints At Potential Fresh Rally To $30 "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Solana is attempting a fresh increase above the $25 resistance against the US Dollar. SOL price might continue to rise steadily toward the $30 zone in the near term.

  • SOL price is showing positive signs above the $24 level against the US Dollar.
  • The price is now trading near $25 and the 100 simple moving average (4 hours).
  • There was a break above a major bearish trend line with resistance near $24.80 on the 4-hour chart of the SOL/USD pair (data source from Kraken).
  • The pair could continue to move up if it clears the $26 resistance zone.

Solana Price Starts Recovery

After a steady decline, Solanas price found support near the $22.75 zone. SOL traded as low as $22.70 and recently started a recovery wave, unlike Bitcoin and Ethereum.

The price climbed above the $24 and $24.50 resistance levels. There was a break above a major bearish trend line with resistance near $24.80 on the 4-hour chart of the SOL/USD pair. The pair climbed above the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $32.42 swing high to the $22.70 low.

SOL is now trading near $25 and the 100 simple moving average (4 hours). On the upside, immediate resistance is near the $25.90 level. The first major resistance is near the $26 level. A clear move above the $26 resistance might send the price toward the $28.80 resistance.

SOL Price Prediction

Source: SOLUSD on TradingView.com

The 61.8% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $32.42 swing high to the $22.70 low is also near the $28.80 level. Any more gains might send the price toward the $30 level.

Another Drop in SOL?

If SOL fails to clear the $26 resistance, it could start a fresh decline. Initial support on the downside is near the $24.80 level and the broken trend line.

Ethereum Price Recovery Could Soon Fade If It Fails To Clear $1,900 "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Ethereum price is recovering above the $1,850 zone against the US Dollar. ETH could restart its decline if there is no move above the $1,900 resistance.

  • Ethereum is slowly moving higher above the $1,850 zone.
  • The price is trading above $1,870 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average.
  • There is a key bullish trend line forming with support near $1,855 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD (data feed via Kraken).
  • The pair could face a strong selling interest near the $1,900 and $1,920 levels.

Ethereum Price Faces Uphill Task

Ethereums price started a short-term recovery wave from the $1,830 zone. ETH was able to recover above the $1,850 and $1,860 levels, similar to Bitcoin.

However, the bears are still active below the $1,900 level. A high is formed near $1,886 and the price is now consolidating gains. There was a minor decline below the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $1,832 swing low to the $1,886 high.

Ether is now trading above $1,870 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. There is also a key bullish trend line forming with support near $1,855 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD. The trend line is near the 50% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $1,832 swing low to the $1,886 high.

On the upside, immediate resistance is near the $1,885 level and the recent high. The first major resistance is near the $1,900 level. The next key resistance is near the $1,920 level. A close above the $1,920 resistance could set the pace for a larger increase.

Ethereum Price

Sarcastic People Are More Likely To Be Psychopaths, According To Psychology "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

Sarcasm is a form of verbal irony that has become a popular mode of communication in todays society. While many individuals utilize sarcasm for humor and social bonding, there has been speculation about a potential link between sarcasm and psychopathy. Psychopathy is a personality disorder characterized by a lack of empathy, manipulative behavior, and a propensity for antisocial actions. In this article, we delve into the psychological aspects that suggest a connection between sarcastic individuals and psychopathic traits.

Defining Sarcasm and Psychopathy

Sarcasm is a form of communication where individuals say something but mean the opposite, often to convey humor or irony. It involves a certain level of cognitive complexity as it requires the speaker to be aware of multiple layers of meaning.

Psychopathy, on the other hand, is a personality disorder categorized by traits such as callousness, lack of remorse, deceitfulness, and shallow emotions. Psychopaths often display an ability to charm and manipulate others while maintaining a superficial facade of normalcy.

The Overlapping Traits

Several traits are shared between sarcastic individuals and psychopaths, leading to speculation about a potential correlation:

  1. Cognitive Flexibility: Both sarcastic individuals and psychopaths demonstrate a high level of cognitive flexibility. Sarcasm requires the ability to switch between literal and non-literal meanings effortlessly. Psychopaths, too, display cognitive flexibility, allowing them to adapt their behavior to manipulate others.
  2. Empathy Deficit: Psychopaths are notorious for their lack of empathy, and while sarcasm may not directly indicate empathy deficits, the constant use of sarcastic remarks could potentially reflect a detachment from the emotional impact of their words on others.
  3. Humor as a Mask: Both sarcastic individuals and psychopaths often use humor as a defense mechanism or a way to hide their true intentions. Sarcasm allows individuals to convey hostility or criticism under the guise of jest, while psychopaths use charm and humor to manipulate their targets.
  4. Sensation Seeking: Psychopaths are known for seeking out stimulation and novelty, often engaging in risky behaviors. Sarcastic individuals may also exhibit this trait by using sarcasm to provoke reactions or excitement in conversations.

Caveats and Considerations

Its crucial to remember that correlation does not equal causation, and not all sarcastic people are psychopaths. Sarcasm is a complex form of communication used by various personalities and is not exclusive to psychopathy. Additionally, while some studies have explored the link between humor styles and psychopathic traits, more research is needed to establish a direct cause-and-effect relationship.

Furthermore, psychop...

Simone Weil on Love and Its Counterfeit "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

How to tell a plaything from a necessity.

Simone Weil on Love and Its Counterfeit

Albert Camus, a Nobel laureate himself and friend of many titanic natures, considered Simone Weil (February 3, 1909August 24, 1943) the only great spirit of the epoch.

Before she died a death of solidarity in an English sanatorium, refusing to take more food than her compatriots in Nazi-occupied France were rationed, before she enlisted to fight for freedom in the Spanish Civil War, the twenty-six-year-old Weil took a years leave of absence from her university teaching post to labor incognito in two car factories in order to better understand the plight of the working class. Although I suffer from it all, she wrote to one of her students, I am more glad than I can say to be where I am I have escaped from a world of abstractions.

Despite the long wearying hours, despite the savage headaches that accompanied her throughout her short life, Weil never lapsed on her correspondence, writing long passionate letters to family, friends, colleagues, and students. Included in the posthumous volume Seventy Letters (public library) is her poignant response to her student asking for advice on how to govern her young heart.

Isoroku Yamamoto Had a Hit Contract on his Head "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

The year is 18 April 1943. The planner of the Pearl Harbor attack, the man whose strategy devastated the US Navy in a little less than 2 hours on December 7th 1941 is about to answer to the forces of vengeance. Little does he know that a squadron of P-38 Lightnings is on an interception course with the Japanese admirals escorting flight.

Decoded

Unbeknownst to the Japanese, the US Naval intelligence branch working with US citizen Japanese interpreters had decoded not only the Japanese official diplomatic codes, but now the Imperial Navys operational encryptions. This would enable the outnumbered US Pacific Fleet to know where and when the Japanese Imperial Fleet would position itself to attack and invade the US base at Midway and would be the deciding factor that destroyed 4 Japanese aircraft carriers, a cruiser, and all of the seasoned combat pilots who had participated in the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor 2 years before. After Midway, the Japanese would forever lose the initiative to wage an offensive war against the US.

A student of America

Yamamoto had attended university in America, and even served as a naval attach in Washington DC. He had witnessed the massive industrial might of the US, and knew well the attitude of Americans. He did not want war with the US, but the general Togo Government of Japan had moved into an expansionistic direction willing to kill and conquer and with US oil sanctions against them the Japanese empire would be deprived of the fuel it needed to feed its war effort. Yamamoto had been called upon to draw up a plan against the US Pacific Fleet that he feared would only awaken a sleeping giant as he would later state after the celebration of the Pearl Harbor victory.

Realization

By 1943 it was apparent that the war with the US Pacific Fleet was turning against Japan. Yamamoto feeling an obligation to visit the troops and sailors to instill some kind of morale, had planned an aerial visit to the island of Bougainville from the powerful Imperial Japanese base of Rabaul. Japan only had one last ditch offensive it planned against the US...

Artists Call on Congress to Stop Bad Internet Bills "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Organizers and activists of the Dont Delete Art (DDA) movement are pushing back against digital surveillance and art censorship in a daylong online call to action. Today, July 26, DDA is inviting artists and other creatives to raise awareness and contact their lawmakers about a series of pending bills and laws that seek to restrict digital freedoms under the banner of improving child safety online.

In collaboration with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC), Fight for the Future, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), and the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, DDA is calling attention to a myriad of proposed Bad Internet Bills meant to improve safe web use for minors that they say will likely backfire and cause more harm. In the same vein as the bipartisan-backed 2018 FOSTA-SESTA passing that was shown to have detrimental to deadly impacts on the safety and income of sex workers and lead to increased censorship of nudity and sexuality in art online, the new bills in...

This 2023 Berlin Fashion Show Was All About Mocking Christianity in the Trashiest Way Possible "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Warning: This article contains pictures that are not safe for work.

Namilia is a fashion brand based in Berlin, Germany. Described as rebellious and unapologetic, Namilia attracted some attention with its dickinis and vulva sleeves, two pieces of garments that look as stupid as they sound. Through provocative creations, the founders of the brand Nan Li and Emilia Pfohl say they use fashion to proclaim their beliefs.

For us, clothing is not just an aesthetic tool but a visual platform to proclaim our beliefs, conflicts and dreams.

As well soon see, their beliefs apparently revolve around mocking Christianity which happens to be a staple of Satanism. However, like all Satanists, they will never admit that they are Satanists to the general public. Instead, they explain all of their work with buzzwords such as feminism. However, as well see, Namilias brand of feminism is actually degrading, highly toxic, and bent on erasing masculinity.

In short, everything about Namilia is in perfect accordance with the agendas of the occult elite. They want us to be faithless, dehumanized, self-hating whores. Probably for this reason, the brand has been experiencing a meteoric rise to success since its inception in 2015. In only a few years, Namilia is featured in major fashion shows, is praised by major outlets such as Vogue magazine and is worn by high-profile celebrities such as Rihanna and Cardi B.

Crowds flocked to the theaters to see Barbie come alive in Greta Gerwig's film adaptation on opening weekend. And while Margot Robbie embodies the titular character on screen, a different Barbie is now turning heads online. Eye Studio shared a mind-boggling video of a massive 3D Barbie doll breaking free from her hot pink box and standing next to the Burj Khalifa in Dubaithe tallest building in the world.

Although its only 16 seconds long, the clip immediately grabs your attention. It shows the enormous Mattel Barbie box placed next to the skyscraper with the striped swimsuit-clad figure standing inside. All of a sudden, Barbie springs to life and steps through the plastic wrapping to pose outside the box. However, as statuesque as she is, the 2,722-foot Burj Khalifa is still taller.

Hi Barbie, are you looking for Ken? Eye Studio captioned the post. Amazingly, the video was shot on an iPhone before Barbie was superimposed in the footage. Many in the comments praised the special effects, calling the animation both terrifying and mesmerizing. The video has already accumulated over 180,000 likes and over 1 million views. The Saudi Arabia Exhibit at the Venice Architecture Biennale "IndyWatch Feed Diy"

This years Venice Architecture Biennale has as its theme The Laboratory of the Future. The laboratory part of the title suggests experimentation and radical rethinking.

The National Pavilion of Saudi Arabia shows a series of more traditional yet still alluring spaces with arches on either side of a rectangular central room that feels almost cave-like and prehistoric. Inside the dimly lit central space is just one object a hollow 3D-printed clay column from which light is projected on to the floor, walls and ceiling. The patterns are  inspired by undulating desert dunes and the vernacular architecture of Asir, a region in the south-west of the country that consists of coastal plains and high mountains.

This object will be relocated to the bottom of the Red Sea eventually, where they will create new habitats for marine life and leave a legacy for future generations.

It is in this long cavernous central space that one can also smell a fragrance created specifically for the pavilion. It was designed to capture elements of the culture, explains the assistant curator. We have frankincense, which was a core element of our trade routes, we have myrrh and we also have lavender. Its our way of introducing Saudi Arabia to the world. When we talk about architecture we always forget the unseen and focus on the visual.

The curators of the Saudi pavilion are keen to emphasize that the pavilion is a collaborative effort that seeks to finds common ground in its desire to improve the human condition and answer the challenges confronting our world. In practice, what thi...

Ballet Dancer Acts Out Swan Lake Against the Dramatic Background of Salt Flats "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Ballet Dancer Acts Out Swan Lake Against the Dramatic Background of Salt Flats

Ballet dancer Sasonah Huttenbach photographed by Brad Walls at Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats

Photographer Brad Walls is known for his creative aerial photography of ballet dancers. His work is already remarkable, but he just took things to a new level in his new series, Swan Lake Meets Salt Lake. Intrigued by the concept of exploring the light and dark sides of humanity, Walls sought out a unique location. This led him to Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats, where he photographed dancer Sasonah Huttenbach.

In the images, Huttenbach, a member of the New York City Ballet's Corp de Ballet, takes on the dual role of the black and the white swan. When Walls pitched the idea of the project, she was on board immediately. I connected with the idea, she shares. The white and black swans depicted on the salt reflected my inner conflicts that Ive grappled with throughout my journey as a ballet dancer living between Japan and now the U.S. Ballet has given me structure and a form of expression I adore, but such discipline is a fight against my curiosity of the world.

Walls conducted the photoshoot entirely from the air, with the dramatic natural backdrop working exactly as he'd hoped. Creatively using Huttenbach's shadow, we see a new being projected on the white salt flats. This only reinforces the duality of the Swan Lake story.

Depending on your state of mind, your shadow could offer comfort or reflect a darker mood, Walls muses.

By taking ballet outside of its traditional theater setting, the photographer is also making a statement about dance. For him, it's clear that the human body can exist in harmony with nature, and the synchronicity of these images only proves this point.

Swan Lake Meets Salt Lake is one of several series set to be included in Walls' forthcoming book, which is due out in 2024.

Swan Lake Meets Salt Lake is a new serie...

Cooking with Elizabeth David "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Photograph by Erica MacLean.

Elizabeth David considered herself not a writer really you know, but only a self-made oneprimarily a cook. And she wasnt a typical writer, even within her chosen genre of food writing. David abhorred the arty and artificial, kept her private life to herself, and made concessions to her audience only when it suited her values. Her voice, especially in her journalism, is acerbicshe was a woman who liked to eat well, and didnt care what you thought of that. And yet she has been Englands most influential food writer since the peak of her career in the fifties, and she remains a household name in the UK. Her groundbreaking works, A Book of Mediterranean Food, French Country Cooking, and simply Italian Food, all published just after World War II, introduced the English to those cuisines. And her prose has the kind of precision and shimmering energy that makes one want to cook. I recently read the NYRB Classics edition of Davids Summer Cooking. I wanted to cook from David, and to understand the secret of her lasting appeal.

Summer Cooking is considered Davids most casual, personal, and playful work. It was written after the intense, yearslong labor of Italian Food and contains many of her perennial themes: fresh, seasonal ingredients, bright flavor, and simplicity. In the postwar England in which she launched her career, food was still rationed. People rarely saw meat and couldnt get eggs or cream. Cans, powders, and substitutes were common. It was neither practical nor socially acceptable to be interested in what you ate. David drew on her experiences traveling and living abroad during the war, in France, Greece, and Egypt, where even basic meals were flavorful and fresh, to effect a massive shift in this thinking. In Greece, Artemis Cooper writes, David lived on bread, olive oil, olives, salt fish, hard white cheese, dried figs, tomato paste, rice, dried beans, sugar, coffee and wine and knew their intense joys. In Summer Cooking...

Research Finds Up to 35% of the Worlds Population Sneezes After Seeing Bright Light

Person Sneezing

Do you sneeze after seeing bright light? Well, you're not alone. ACHOO syndrome, or Autosomal Dominant Compulsive Helio-Ophthalmic Outbursts, is estimated to affect between 1835% of people around the world. While not a dangerous condition, it is one that continues to mystify scientists.

Records of ACHOO syndrome have been found as far back as 350 BCE. Unlike regular sneezes, which occur after the mucous membranes in our nose are irritated by particles, there is no physical trigger other than bright light. This can happen outdoors in the sunshine, or inside after turning on the light. The reflex seems to be triggered by a change in intensity of light rather than a specific type or wavelength of light, Dr. Annie Nguyen, an ophthalmologist with Keck Medicine of USC, says.

Although scientists know that ACHOO syndrome is genetic, they are still unsure what causes it. One previous theory suggests that bright light which makes the pupils constrict also irritates the nose. Another proposes that it's due to higher sensitivity to visual stimuli.

Aquarius Super Full Moon Ritual August 2023 "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

The Aquarius Super Full Moon on August 1, 2023, is our entrance point to a busy month of cosmic activity. While August holds some powerful energies and many retrogrades, this Full Moon acts like a gentle tonic, helping us to let go of all that is no longer resonant with our being.

This ritual is designed to help you work with the Aquarius Full Moon energies. It activates the innate healing power of your body and allows you to work on the seven major energy centers to restore balance, harmony, and a sense of peace.

I hope by the end of this ritual, you feel comforted and supported no matter what is transpiring for you.

Aquarius Full Moon Chakra Clearing Ritual

This ritual can be done July 26- August 13, 2023

You will need:

Instructions:

1.) Start by cleansing your aura and then your surroundings using your cleansing tool of choice.

2.) Get your glass of water. Take your crystal if using, and program it with an intention. To program the crystal, hold it in both hands as you recite your intention out loud. Place your crystal next to or on top of your glass of water. Leave it to the side.

If you dont have a crystal, just program the glass with the intention by holding it with both hands as you recite your intention.

3.) Get nice and comfortable and begin with your Soul Soothing Meditation. This gentle meditation will help to reset your nervous system, connect with your soul, and prepare you energetically for the rest of the ritual.

4.) After your meditation, place your hands below your belly button where your pelvic region is. Here we have an energy center known as the root chakra. With both hands over your root chakra, recite the following healing affirmation. Then for 3-4 breaths, imagine streams of healing red light pouring into this part of your body from your hands-

Luciano Polverigianis Ceramic Toys Explore Material, Function, and Movement "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Two ceramic figures, each riding their own oblong-shaped animal

All images Luciano Polverigiani, shared with permission

From his workshop in Villa Elisa, Argentina, Luciano Polverigiani (previously) creates small and medium format ceramics that teeter between traditional sculpture and toys. Currently fascinated by the relationship between form and function, the artist often reflects on how his materials are inextricably linked to each pieces use. We generally associate ceramic material with fragility; ceramic objects break if they fall on the ground or are handled roughly, he tells Colossal. I am interested in reflecting on the use that we will give to ceramics. In this sense, I begin to work with the idea of a ceramic toy.

The artist brings the contradictory idea of the ceramic toy to life through a curious menagerie of creatures, each radiating with personality. And while many toys feature some kind of moveable aspect or configurable parts, Polverigiani embraces the incongruity between clays rigidity and the inherent action of play. By incorporating wheels and creating small figures that are meant to fit inside others, the artist pushes the boundaries between ceramic sculpture and movement.

COBRA : Planetary Situation Update and Kyoto Ascension Conference Report ( July 2023) "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Temple Gold

The main focus of the Light forces is now clearing of the subquantum anomaly.

Subquantum anomaly is not as innocent as it was previously believed, and the Lurker entity poses quite a challenge. More intel about the Lurker is now available. In the previous cosmic cycle, some entities wanted to survive the big crunch as the universe was collapsing into a singularity, and the only possible way to survive this (except Ascension) was to forcefully project consciousness into the subquantum anomaly.

Those entities from the previous cosmic cycle used a very advanced technology with extreme energies to push their consciousness into the subquantum unspace. Through this process they were extremely traumatized, they lost their individuality and merged into a rabid, amorphous, revengeful subquantum blob named the Lurker, as hinted at in these sci-fi novels:

https://www.amazon.com/Lords-Uncreation-Final-Architecture-3/dp/0316705926

http://reviewsbybarbsaffer.blogspot.com/2020/10/review-of-redemption-of-time-three-body.html

The Lurker was hidden for the majority of this cosmic cycle in the subquantum unspace, and only recently, in the last few million years, nudged the dark forces into greater and greater anomaly and distortion. The Lurker fully emerged during the Archon invasion in 1996 to try to prevent the cosmic Ascension process and the final removal of evil.

Since 1996, it plagues the spacetime quantum fluctuations indirectly from subquantum unspace, which the Light forces continuously clear with Mjolnir technology. Lurker is the underbelly of the Universe which drains through quarantine Earth tumor / cyst. Physical biochips of the surface population are subquantum/quantum portals through which the Lurker emerges into the quantum fluctuations.

Mjolnir technology continuously sublimates parts of the Lurker from subquantum unspace into the quantum fluctuations, which mostly cancel each other out, and then dissolve into nothingness. Those fluctuations that do not cancel themselves out continue to produce small amounts of anomalous proton plasma.

All-Terrain Track Chairs Added to All Minnesota State Parks for Improved Accessibility

Nature is for everyone; however, it's not always accessible for all. The logistics of trail travel and park infrastructure often leave visitors with mobility disabilities unable to fully experience the park offerings. The state of Minnesota is actively trying to remedy this situation by purchasing more all-terrain track chairs that allow visitors to leave the pavement and set forth on adventure. Adding access in eight additional parks on August 1, 13 chairs will now be available across over a dozen state parks for free use upon reservation. As the state's Department of Natural Resources announced, These chairs are available to anyone who has a need.

The track chairs are essentially battery-powered wheelchairs without wheels. Instead, they are equipped with tracks much like an army tank or snowmobile. This allows the chair to travel over uneven ground blanketed in sticks and stones. The chairs are battery-powered and controllable by toggles. Visitors can use the chairs at all of Minnesotas state parks, including Blue Mounds State Park, Crow Wing State Park, and Maplewood State Park. There is also a wheelchair specifically made for sand available at McCarthy Beach State Park. At the parks, trails where the track chairs are permitted are marked on maps, which can be previewed online along with the list of parks.

To reserve a chair, there is no payment. Visitors must simply call ahead to the specific park to request it. They also must have a...

LayerZero Crosses This Significant Milestone, But Is An Airdrop Coming? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Cross-Chain communication protocol platform LayerZero has crossed 50 million cross-chain messages, as revealed by the platform on Tuesday, July 25. This significant milestone proves the massive trading activity and cross-chain token swaps that happen across several chains daily.

LayerZeros Impressive Growth

The 50-million cross-chain messages is undoubtedly a testament to how much LayerZero has achieved in the space. Due to the projects disruptive vision, it has received enormous backing from some of the ecosystems biggest Venture Capitalists (VC).

Three months ago, LayerZero raised $120 million from prominent backers like auction company Christies, renowned VC firms Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, Capital market company Samsung Next, OpenSea Ventures, and Circle Ventures. What is more impressive is that LayerZero was valued at $3 billion during this Series B funding round, almost three times its $135 million valuation during the funding round held back in 2022.

This remarkable feat has also come during the lingering crypto bear market when many have felt that the outlook in the industry will be negative. That is why it is easy to share the sentiments of the CEO of LayerZero Labs when he stated:

LayerZero is to blockchains what the internet was to computing clusters. LayerZero allows chains not only to build bridges (to transfer assets/value between them) but send and execute arbitrary data just like a packet on the internet. What this means is that you can now build applications that are orders of magnitude more complex than existing applications and do so with a completely seamless experience between chains.

Blockchain interoperability remains the foremost issue in the Web3 space. Furthermore, this has greatly hindered some from venturing into the space, and it is well-known that if crypto is to enjoy mainstream adoption, this issue needs to be dealt with. That is why interoperability protocols like LayerZero are key in the blockchain ecosystem.

It is common knowledge that the interoperability issue stems from how blockchains have different protocols and standards that make them incompatible. However, platforms like LayerZero bridge this gap by facilitating seamless and direct communication between different blockchain networks, making it easy for users on networks like Ethereum, Aptos, Solana, and SUI to move their digital assets across these chains.

Wen Airdrop?

The question of if LayerZero will carry out an airdrop has been on the lips of many members of the LayerZero community. Although the team has been tight-lipped over whether or not there will indeed be an airdrop to users, the signs are becoming more glaring that one may, in fact, be on the horizo...

Garret Yount: Why Vibes Matter "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

We've all had 'that' feeling: when our mood suddenly changes or we sense an 'atmosphere' on entering a room. There is a distinct quality that connects these experiences it's a shift in how we sense a person or a place, often referred to as a 'vibe'.

Vibes matter because they have the power to change the way we feel and behave.
Garret Yount PhD has been researching the science of 'energy vibes' for over 20 years. In Why Vibes Matter he explains what can lead us to experience a 'vibe' or a shift in energy and how to harness their power.

Looking at where vibes come from and how they affect us Garret reviews the research and explains the science behind our reactions. Practical tools and techniques will help you attune to your own vibes and learn how to influence them in the wisest possible way.

Garret Yount, PhD, is a Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. Dr. Younts primary interest is bridging molecular neurobiology with aspects of consciousness and the nonmaterial mind. He began his formal studies in consciousness research with a small grant from the Institute of Noetic Sciences in 1995, which allowed him to work with biofield practitioners and spiritual healers in the laboratory. Dr. Yount was among the first scientists to be awarded a Research Project Grant (R01) from the National Institutes of Health to study energy healing. He has spoken nationally and co-authored peer-reviewed papers on the topic of establishing rigorous guidelines for research into biofields and micro-psychokinesis.
