Stellar (XLM) Surges Over 43% In One Week, Whats Pushing It? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

While Bitcoin price recedes from the $30,000 support, payment solutions Stellar (XLM) and XRP continue riding the bullish wave, with Stellar (XLM) outranking top gainers today amid impressive ecosystem developments.

Determined to break all barriers to the $0.2 target, XLM painted all charts green, with a whopping 43.29% gain in value on the week. The cross-border payment facilitator has added over 8.79% to its valuation over the past 24-hour trading session.

XLM Rides On Bullish Momentum From Impressive Ecosystem Developments

Following ecosystem developments, XLM continues to soar as interest in its innovative payment and remittance solution increase. In a recent development, Stellar partnered with MoneyGram and HoneyCoin app to support global digital assets cash out with USDC across Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and the UK.

In another announcement, Stellar partnered with Fonbnk to provide payment solutions to the unbanked in Africa. Considering that millions of Africans lack access to banking services, Stellars partnership with MoneyGram and Fonbnk could bring more users to the digital finance landscape, further expanding the crypto industry.

Moreover, Stellar is now available on multiple chains, including Ethereum, Solana, Celo, and Polygon, through Allbridges interoperability and bridge solution. Announced on July 11, the integration marks a significant milestone for Stellar, demonstrating its utility for innovative opportunities in decentralized finance.

This feat could be among the factors pushing XLMs price over the past seven days. Again, the token still enjoys the bullish wave of its close relative, XRPs victory in the SEC/Ripple lawsuit.

Stellar (XLM) Price Movement In The Last Seven Days

Over the past seven days, XLM witnessed a significant shoot-up. On July 13, when news of Ripple (XRP)s victory broke out, XLMs price went from $0.096 to $0.153, a 60% boost within 24 hours. Though it experienced a minute correction as the buzz subsided, XLM remains bullish, fighting for more gains to surpass $0....

Destiny: Bruce Scofield, Mayan Astrology "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

A contemporary and practical guide to Mayan astrological techniques

Discusses the logic and meaning of the 20 day-signs of the Mayan calendar

Explains the many cycles of Mayan astrology, such as the 9-day cycle of the Night Lords and the 13-day trecena

Contains extensive tables of Mayan astrological data, allowing readers to cast their own Mayan horoscopes

How to Practice Mayan Astrology presents a contemporary guide to one of the most sophisticated astrological systems ever developed. Like other ancient peoples, the Maya looked to the cycles of the planets as markers of time and designators of order. The predictable cycles they observed became codified in the Mayan calendar and astrological system as a way of organizing the seeming chaos of human life.

Mayan astrology is based on 20 named days that are cycled 13 times to create a 260-day calendar, the Tzolkin. The authors explain the symbolism, logic, and meaning of the 20 day-signs; how these signs reflect 260 possible personality types; and how they can be used for divination. They also explain the important role of the Four Directions and the planet Venus in ones personality matrix and life issues. Included are extensive, easy-to-use tables of Mayan astrological data, allowing readers to determine their day-signs, to see how these signs are also influenced by the cycle of the Night Lords and the 13-day trecena, and to cast their own horoscopes.

BRUCE SCOFIELD is the author of seven books on astrology, including Day-Signs: Native American Astrology from Ancient Mexico and Signs of the Time: An Introduction to Mesoamerican Astrology. He has been a practicing astrologer since 1969 and lives in Amherst, Massachusetts. Barry C. Orr is a software developer who designed some of the early computer programs used by technical astrologers. He is coauthor, with Bruce Scofield, of the Maya-Aztec Astro Report, a software program that identifies personality delineations based on the Mayan calendar. He lives in New Jersey.

Womans Photochromic Dress Changes Color in the Sun From White to Pink

screenshots of video showing a photochromic dress changing from white to pink

Photo: Screenshot from TikTok

A color-changing dress is something that sounds like it's straight out of a fairytaleor an illusion that has the whole internet polarized. But sometimes it's also a very real dress that actually does change color. In a now-viral video posted by @izzipoopi, the fashion influencer wears a cream knit dress at the beginning, announcing, My dress changes colour in the sun! She then walks outside, and as she steps out of the shadows, the garment begins its colorful transformation. By the end, the dress has completely turned pink, much to the wearer's delight.

The dress in question was created by New York-based fashion brand PH5. The name of the dress is Sponde UV Reactive Reversible Maxi Dress and it's part of the brand's UV Reactive collection, which also includes color-changing skirts, shirts, and cardigans. PH5 states, Using our innovative yarns we knit pleated & ribbed pieces that will transform in to bright pink's & blue's in the sun.

For some users, this color-changing clothing reminds them of Hypercolor, a fashion company that was trendy in the 90s. Although those garments transformed in a similar manner, they changed due to heat, while the PH5 dress changes with UV light. Though there isn't much info about the tech, it was most likely developed in the company's knitwear mill in China. We work hand in hand with our computer engineers and technicians to code and pattern each design, PH5 explains. Thanks to this advantage, we are able t...

Litecoin Whales Purchase $59 Million Worth of LTC As Halving Event Approaches "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In the latest development today, Litecoin whales appear to be accumulating huge amounts of LTC, which could be quite positive for the network, especially as its halving event approaches.

In a tweet shared yesterday, July 18, by a crypto analyst with the Twitter handle @ali_charts, he confirmed this trend using data from on-chain analytics firm Santiment.

According to @ali_charts, Litecoin whales holding 100,000-1,000,000 LTC  have acquired over 590,000 LTC, worth $59 million, in the last two days.

LTC Price Shows No Reaction To Whale Movement

As earlier stated, these recent whale transactions spell a positive undertone for the Litecoin network, as it indicates growing confidence in the LTC asset. However, it is worth noting that LTCs market price has shown minimal reaction to this massive buying spree.

For context, LTC is up by only 1.44% in the last day, according to data from CoinMarketCap. Meanwhile, the token is down by 4.37% on the weekly chart and is marked as one of the top weekly losers.

LTCs price movement has been quite bearish since the start of July. The Digital Silver as it is called ended last month on a high note, gaining over 26% on June 30 to trade above $100 for the first time since April. This positive price movement was followed by some little extra gains before LTCs value started falling, declining by over 17% between July 3 and now.

At the time of writing, LTC is exchanging hands at $92.98, with a 0.27% gain in the last hour.  Meanwhile, the tokens trading volume is down 17.08% and is now valued at $482 million. With a market cap of $6.82 billion, LTC ranks as the 12th biggest cryptocurrency in the market.

The 11 Types of Lightworkers Which One Are You? "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

When it comes to Lightworkers and determining which one you are, know that you will most likely exhibit many of these characteristics. Pay attention to your intuition. Trust your instincts about how you can help.

How may I be of service? Im always asking. You will receive an answer if you ask this question. Pay attention to your inner guidance, take action, keep shining your light, and make a positive difference in the world in whatever way you can. This is what it means to be a Lightworker. It does not imply that you must appear on camera. You are not required to appear on stage. It is not even necessary to be a spiritual teacher.
If that is where you feel called or where you are right now, you can be an Undercover Lightworker. You can live a normal life, work in a corporate environment, or play in a mainstream area of reality. You simply shine brightly while loving and supporting others, being of service, and spreading positivity in the world. Because service is so important to Lightworkers, Ive divided the various ways lightworkers serve into 11 categories.

The 11 Types of Lightworkers

Use your intuition to discover your unique lightworker gifts And yes, you can and likely have more than one!

1. Gridworkers and Gatekeepers

These are Lightworkers who work with Gaias grids. This could be the human heart grid, which connects all awakened humans hearts. It could be the actual earth grids that connect sacred sites via lay lines. Higher energetic grids, such as the crystalline grid, could also be involved. There is clearing work, and gatekeeping is a more advanced form of grid work in which you work with your team to open interdimensional gates to allow more light and love in.

Shes Mad Because Her Fiance Canceled the Vegan Food Options at Their Wedding. Is She Wrong? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

AITAFlippingOutVegan Shes Mad Because Her Fiance Canceled the Vegan Food Options at Their Wedding. Is She Wrong?

Uh ohits yet another story from Reddits Am I the A**hole? page that revolves around some serious drama involvingyou guessed it, vegan food.

Oh no!

And this woman asked the fine readers on that page if she was out of line for getting pi**ed off at her fiance for canceling the vegan food at their upcoming wedding.

Is she a jerk?

Lets see what she had to say!

AITA flipping out on my fiance for cancelling all the vegan food options from our wedding food menu behind my back?

My fiance (31 male) and I (25 female) are getting married soon. There wasnt much that disagreed on during the wedding planning except for food.

Me and my family are vegans, and there so many reasons why we chose this lifestyle and one of them being that we have a history of health issues. My fiance and his family are the complete opposite. theyre hardcore meat eaters which is fine by me obviously.

However, When deciding on the wedding food menu, I wanted to add 4-5 vegan options. My fiance and his mom objected saying it was a waste of money over food that isnt real food. They also argued that this would be offensive for their guests and suggested my vegan options just be the good ol salads & appetizers (his mom wanted cupcakes lol).

I said no because for one i...

A BlackRock ETF Would Supercharge The Bitcoin Mining Industry "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

This is an opinion editorial by Phil Harvey, the CEO of cryptocurrency mining consultancy Sabre56.

Launching the first unequivocally positive news cycle for the Bitcoin space since the collapse of FTX, BlackRock recently decided to file for a spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF). Within a few days, two additional behemoth money managers joined BlackRock as Invesco reactivated its application for a spot BTC ETF and ETF-specialist WisdomTree submitted its third application for a BTC ETF to the U.S. Securities And Exchange Commission (SEC).

As of this writing, nobody can say if the proposed vehicles will be approved by the SEC, which has recently made headlines for its heavy-handed pursuit of cryptos most prominent exchanges in Coinbase and Binance. We will know soon enough.

What is more pertinent at this point is a review of the underlying trend: Institutional money is slowly working its way into the bitcoin economy. In the realm of bitcoin trading, high-profile investors commitments to date have been shaky and driven by the boom-and-bust cycle typical for nascent industries and certainly a defining trait of the bitcoin economy so far.

BlackRocks potential spot BTC ETF could be a real bridge to mass adoption. Some voices have declared it offers the best chances of approval yet, not just because of the applicants prestige but also thanks to a proposed surveillance-sharing agreement that seems to be key in the SECs eyes. But regardless of the fate of this proposal in particular, an examination of Bitcoin infrastructure being built today provides an unambiguously bullish picture of institutional moneys bet on the industry.

For instance, one of the worlds most active and successful venture capital funds, Andreesen Horowitz (a16Z), has doubled down and announced its first-ever international office, to be opened in London, to largely focus on the development of the crypto economy.

However, institutional investors hunt for growth opportunities is nowhere as pronounced as it is in Bitcoins fundamental infrastructure: mining. Champions of the mining industry are signing deals and building at a breakne......

Pre-Mined Ethereum Worth $116M Moves After 8 Years: Is A Major Price Dip Imminent? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

A pre-mined stash of Ethereum, dormant for nearly eight years and now valued at roughly $116 million, has been moved abruptly. This transaction raises questions about potential market implications and whether it could trigger a notable price dip for Ethereum.

Eight years ago, during Ethereums pre-mine period, the wallet accumulated a total of 61,216 ETH. Back then, the value of the tokens was around $18,976, but due to Ethereums exponential growth, the value has now escalated over a thousandfold.

Stirring From Dormancy

The ETH in question, stashed in a single wallet address, has remained untouched since it was pre-mined. But in an unexpected move, all 61,216 ETH were transferred to an address associated with the Kraken crypto exchange. This transfer marks the end of an eight-year-long dormancy.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Prediction: 24% Price Rally Impending By Month End "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The Shiba Inu price has established a promising uptrend in the 1-day chart since June 10, which could catapult the price 24% higher. However, SHIB investors should remain cautious, as NewsBTC reported a few days ago.

A downward break of the said uptrend could push the SHIB price back into the longer-term downtrend, which has been in place since early February. A decision is likely to be forthcoming by the end of the month!

Shiba Inu Price Prediction

From a technical perspective, Shiba Inu has established a new uptrend over the last month which has pushed the price up 29% from the local low at $0.00000597. As can be seen in the 1-day chart, SHIB has so far defended this trend with flying colors. The expectations for the launch of Shibarium at the ETHToronto conference in mid-August could certainly play a role in this.

Shiba Inu price

In the meantime, however, SHIB is currently struggling with support at the 20-day EMA line. Over the last two days, SHIB has always managed to close above the support at the end of the trading session. In case the altcoin closes above the technical indicator today as well, the uptrend (black line) would be defended once again.

A new bounce towards the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level could be possible. So far, SHIB has failed to close above the $0.00000832 resistance on a daily basis in three attempts. But, as explained at the beginning, a decision could be forthcoming by the end of the month.

At that time, the resistance line of the 23.6% Fibonacci level and the rising trend line meet. Both lines form an ascending triangle formation, which signals a weakening resistance and an imminent breakout to the upside. The higher lows...

AIAlternateReality LLMs dont hallucinate. Stability.ais CEO Speculates That Wild Answers From AI Are The Result Of Peering Into Other Realities

If you have always wanted to be able to travel to alternate realities, some say you should be super jealous of AI because its been there and back.

Youve probably heard that one of the reasons Large Language Models (LLMs) spit out wild answers sometimes is because of machine hallucinations.

Well, according to Stability.ais CEO Emad Mostaque, those dont exist but alternate realities do.

LLMs dont hallucinate. Theyre just windows into alternate realities in the latent space. Just broaden your minds.

It sounds like he was born in the wrong generation or at least, he really wants to believe theres a good reason for the growing pains AI is going through as it begins to interact with humans on a regular basis.

Some think that the explanation could also help better explain the concept of latent space, which is the compressed space between an input and output image.

Signal With Perfect Track Record Predicts Bitcoin Bull Market Parabola: Analyst "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In a recent newsletter by renowned analyst CryptoCon, a groundbreaking indicator known as the Bitcoin DXY correlation coefficient has captured the attention of the community. This indicator, which measures the correlation between Bitcoin and the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY), has shown remarkable accuracy in predicting Bitcoins price movements and signaling the beginning of bull market parabolas.

According to CryptoCon, the Bitcoin DXY correlation coefficient is one of the most interesting finds he has come across in quite some time. In his newsletter, he explains the significance of this indicator and its implications for the future of Bitcoins price trajectory.

Bitcoin At Onset Of A Bull Market Parabola?

The analyst highlights the three distinct phases that the correlation coefficient enters during a market cycle. He states, During a given market cycle, the correlation coefficient enters this zone in 3 phases. These phases are represented by different colors:

  • PURPLE: The first move into the low correlation zone, which occurs slightly before the bear market bottom.
  • RED: The second move into the low correlation zone, marking the end of the bear market or the bottom of the cycle.
  • GREEN: After some time, the metric returns to the low correlation zone, signaling the start of the true bull market parabola.
Bitcoin / USD correlation parabolas

CryptoCon emphasizes the significance of these findings, stating, Andthere are no false signals when viewed in this way, extremely interesting! I have reviewed some other observations that allude to this, but not to this level of preciseness and caliber.

Furthermore, the analyst brings attention to the influence of the U.S. dollar on Bitcoins parabola. He explains, And this is from an outside factor, the Dollar. Meaning that the strength of the US dollar has great influence on when Bitcoin parabola takes place. This correlatio...

People sure do get fired up when it comes to swimming pools, huh?

You know thats the truth!

And this woman wants to know if shes acting like an a**hole for causing drama over a pool.

Take a look at her story and see what you think.

AITA for causing family drama over a swimming pool?

So I know from experience that Reddit isnt the most understanding towards parents of young kids but I really just want a third party opinion because this situation is driving me crazy and my family are saying I need to get over it

I (F30s) live with my partner and our two kids, ages 7 and 3.

My older sister Ava (also F30s) and her husband recently purchased a house in the local area. Its a super nice place with a big yard and as you can probably guess from the title, a swimming pool.

Ava recently hosted a barbecue at her place. It wasnt a huge event, she invited me, our parents and our other siblings.

She mentioned letting the kids play in the pool so I only assumed my kids would get to be included

We are potty training although my youngest is still in diapers at the moment.

At the barbecue, I was getting my youngest ready for the pool by changing him into a swim diaper. Ava pulled me aside and told me she doesnt think its hygienic for my youngest to play in the pool, since swim diapers dont hold pee and she asked that he doesnt swim in th...

AITADaughterTests This Dad Had His Daughter Take His Other Kids Test To Prove That Grades Are Relative. Was He Wrong?

I can totally understand a parent wanting their kids to have the best in life and to succeed in every way possible, but is it wrong to have one kid take another kids test to prove a point?

I guess everyone has different opinions about thatand now its up to you to read this dads story to see if you think he acted like an a**hole.

Check out what he had to say in the story below.

AITA for having my daughter take her sisters test?

I have two daughters in high school. Sam is an A student and Emma is a B and C student. Sam has basically been making fun of Emma for her lower grades. We punish her when it happens but she goes back to it every time.

Now the difference between the two girls is that Sam takes the general classes where Emma takes the college classes. For example sam took biology as her science and Emma took college physics 2. So very different.

Summer is here and the final grades came in. Sam got all As and when she saw she did better, she started the I am smarter comments again. I had enough at this point

I grabbed one of Emma old tests, it was a geometry test since Sam took geometry this year and sat her down and had her do it. Long story short she was in tears and then I explained again how grades dont measure how smart you are. That she is in much easier classes compared to Emma, I think it finally got through to her.

What Would Happen if a Billionaire CEO Had to Live on the Lowest-Paid Employees Salary? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Billion Dollar Babies What Would Happen if a Billionaire CEO Had to Live on the Lowest Paid Employees Salary?

What if?

I love questions like this because people come up with all kinds of creative answers and you never know what to expect!

What would happen if a billionaire CEO had to live on the salary of their lowest-paid employees AND it was a reality TV show?

Check out what folks had to say about this on AskReddit.

Make it longer.

It would be better if they had to live with their lowest salaried employee for a month or two.

In their house, dinner with the family, travel to and from work together, same lunch, kids with homework, the works.

Building that relation would imo do much more for this problem than just experiencing below your normal standard of living before returning to it..
Youre more likely to feel empathy for a family you know, and much less likely to forget them.

Anything else would just be another show about wealthy people having a fun adventure to talk about at cocktail parties.

Lets reverse it.

It would be incredibly self-serving and boring.

They would never truly experience what it is like to be in the precarious position of a minimum wage employee living hand-to-mouth and the novelty is just salt in the wound.

It would be more interesting to see the reverse.

Interesting.

There was this similar themed show in Hong Kong and Mainland China years ago.

They swapped billionaire with bottom feeders, let the rich do the basic job, on the lowest salary, to see how far the rich could go by purely their own effort.

Nearly all of the billionaire admitted that they could not make anywhere, regardless of how hard they worked, even working without sleeping and resting could not give you any accumulation to help climb up to the higher level of the society.

There was only despair, and admission that the divide between the poor and the rich is already a deep valley and mere personal effort makes little sense.

It stirred big debate among the society back then, and I think that was part of the reasons the show got cancelled .

There was also another show in China, swapping senior political figures with community level council workers, to see how good they could do in each others posts. The mayors were flooded by the angry mobs w...

  • The price is trading below $1,920 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average.
  • There was a break above a key bearish trend line with resistance near $1,900 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD (data feed via Kraken).

Ethereum Price Could Start Fresh Increase

Ethereums price declined again below the $1,900 support. However, ETH bulls were active near the $1,875 level. It seems like a double bottom pattern is forming near the $1,875 level.

Man Wants to Know if Hes Wrong for Not Allowing His Wife to Punish Their Son "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

AITANotPunishingSon Man Wants to Know if Hes Wrong for Not Allowing His Wife to Punish Their Son

All moms and dads choose to raise their kids differently and sometimes that can lead to some conflict within families.

One parent wants to be stricter than the other and things can get messy.

And a guy took to Reddits Am I the A**hole? page to ask if hes wrong for not letting his wife punish their son.

Get all the details below and see what you think.

AITA for refusing to punish or allow my wife to punish our son?

This all started back in March. My sons best friend turned thirteen. In his family, thirteenth birthday is a huge deal. In addition to a massive party (which all four of us were invited to) his parents also took him to Disney World. They invited my son to attend as well.

My wife was hesitant to consent to this. She said it was unfair to allow our son to go when our nine year old daughter cant. Especially since she loves Disney and princesses. I said that our kids wont always have the exact same opportunities, and if we set a precedent here, well have to stick to it if and when our daughter gets a similar opportunity. So wed just be punishing both our children needlessly. My wife reluctantly agreed that we should allow our son to go.

I gave our son money to buy his sister souvenirs. He did, and his friends parents even bought extra stuff for him to give to her. Still, when she saw him come back wearing a Star Wars shirt with the Mickey hat...

Spaceship Too Big to Move Being Stored Under Major Landmark UFO Hunter Says "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Renowned UFO investigator, Ross Coulthart, has made a startling assertion that a colossal extraterrestrial spaceship is concealed beneath a significant global landmark. According to Coulthart, the spacecraft is so enormous that it cannot be relocated, hence its covert storage in a location familiar to many.

Coulthart, a respected figure in the UFO research community, shared his intriguing theory during an interview with the Project Unity YouTube channel. He stated, Some of these objects are not capable of being moved because theyre too bloody big. He further claimed that the non-human spacecraft is currently hidden beneath a purpose-built structure.

Despite the seemingly outlandish nature of his claim, Coulthart insists that he knows exactly where the spaceship is located. His assertion has stirred up a frenzy within the UFO enthusiast community, with many speculating about the possible location of the hidden spaceship. Some theories suggest it could be in South Korea, while others believe it might be tucked away in an air defense facility.

Coulthart is no stranger to making headlines with his UFO-related revelations. Earlier this year, he reported on an interview with a whistleblower who alleged that the US military possesses several crashed spacecraft and even alien bodies.

Take a look at whats going on here and see what you think

AITA for embarrassing my father by offering to stop telling my children that I love them.

I call my kids Boy (15) and Girl (16). I love the Simpsons and I always thought it was funny that Homer referred to Bart as Boy and Bart called him Homer. With my father everything was yes sir no sir.

I also constantly tell my kids that I love them and am proud of them.

He was over last weekend and he was vociferous about how Im hurting his grandchildren by not calling them by their names. I told him that my kids were happy and to leave it alone.

I said in return they would have to call me Sir not daddy or dad. I said I would accept Father in emotional conversations. But that I would no longer remind them every day that I loved them and was proud of them.

They both did they were happy with the status quo. They know what my relationship with my father is like.

LOS ANGELES Although Martha Alf (1930-2019) is recognized for her distinctive pear drawings, her inaugural posthumous exhibition at the Michael Kohn Gallery, Opposites and Contradictions, sheds new light on her breakthrough moment as a painter. While the exhibition presents a small selection of later drawings, hung salon-style, the primary focus is on the body of work that earned Alf a place in the 1975 Whitney Biennial: her paintings of toilet paper rolls, which she preferred to call cylinders. Such phrasing is significant because, by this point in her career, she was a formalist who boldly applied what she learned about abstract painting to still life, but with a twist in the form of unconventional subject matter. As she wrote at the time, she was finding reality through an artificially contrived arrangement customarily associated with the stage or an altar, which raises the most mundane of material objects in our society to the authoritat...

Intuitive Astrology: Chiron Retrograde July December 2023 "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Chiron stations retrograde in Aries on July 23, 2023, in the midst of some incredibly significant and intense cosmic energies.

The Lunar Nodes changing signs, the Cancer New Moon, the Sun moving into its home sign of Leo, and Venus Retrograde all happen just days before Chiron, the asteroid known as the wounded healer, journeys into retrograde.

All of this energy combined will intensify the healing work of Chiron, allowing some of our most painful heartbreaks to be channeled into something new.

Chiron will remain in retrograde until December 26, 2023, and by this point, we are likely to have experienced some deeper wisdom, compassion, and understanding from whatever our wounds were trying to teach us.

Lets dive deeper into what Chirons energy is all about and what you can expect as it journeys retrograde in 2023

Chiron, the Wounded Healer

Chiron, the asteroid, is named after Chiron, the centaur, and the story of Chiron can help us to understand the energy it radiates.

The myth goes that Chiron was abandoned at birth and left to fend for itself. Chiron was unwanted and unloved, but it was through this painful wound of abandonment and difficult upbringing that he was able to rise up and turn his wounds into powerful portals of healing.

It was Chirons wounds that paved the way for his role as a powerful healer, teacher, psychic, and philosopher.

Chiron was able to take his wounds and allow them to guide him in a direction of power. Chiron knew his wounds would never leave him, but he allowed them to become portals of wisdom, compassion, and learning. This is why Chiron is referred to as the wounded healer.

We all possess the same powers as Chiron. Inside each and every one of us has the ability to take our wounds and pain points and turn them into a source of power.

As the poet Rumi says- the wound is where the light enters you.

Chiron in our Cosmic Skies

Chiron orbits between Saturn and Uranus. The position of Chiron between Saturn and Uranus is significant to understanding the energy it brings.

Saturn is a very grounded, rooted energy, whereas Uranus is considered a planet of a higher vibration. Uranus energy can also bring about awakenings and the rise of kundalini energy.

Chiron can act as a bridge between these two states of being and is sometimes referred to as the Rainbow Bridge.

The Rainbow bridge signifies the link between one state of consciousness and the next, and this idea is further amplified if we look at Egyptian Astrology.

In Egyptian Astrology, Chiron goes by another name- Anpu or Anubis, the god of the afterlife and lost souls.

In April of 1969, around 200 Black and Puerto Rican students at the City College of New York brought classes to a grinding halt. For two weeks, the protesters occupied the schools Harlem campus in demand of a more equitable education and a student body that mirrored the racial makeup of New York City. Culminating a nearly decade-long undertaking, filmmakers Andrea Weiss and Greta Schiller are exploring the historic action in a new documentary titled The Five Demands (2023), showing at the Downtown Community Television Centers (DCTV) Firehouse Cinema in Chinatown today, July 18, through Thursday, July 20. Following last months Supreme Court decision to strike down affirmative action, the story feels more pressing than ever.

Researchers Discover New Extinct Species of Mini Penguins That Lived 3 Million Years Ago

This Newly Discovered Miniature Penguin Species Lived 50 Million Years Ago

What Eudyptula wilsonae may have looked like, darn cute! (Photo: Simone Giovanardi)

Penguins are survivors. Modern species of the adorable birds withstand freezing temperatures or dive deep in swift currents. In fact, penguins have been doing their adorable thing for millions of years. Prehistoric penguin species date back to the days of the dinosaurs. A team of researchers in New Zealand have discovered one more member of the ancient family, a tiny and distinctly precious species newly known as Eudyptula wilsonae. Its name means Wilsons little penguin. Explained in their recent paper, the researchers detail how the examination of several small fossilized skulls led to the classification of this cute critter who lived 50 million years ago.

The two fossils were discovered on New Zealand's North Island. Only the skulls are extant, and they are slightly narrower than those of modern little penguins (korora) which currently frolic along the islands coasts. From the one juvenile and one adult skull, the researchers determined it was a new species. They likely stood just about a foot tall and weighed a measly 2 pounds, much like their modern analogs. In fact, the new species may be a late Pliocene ancestor of the modern birds.

This is important when thinking about the origins of these penguins, the evolution of the seabird diversity of Aotearoa and the dynamic environment in which they live, co-author Daniel Thomas said in a...

Bio-based Building Materials Developed in Holland "IndyWatch Feed Diy"

The Green Village, iCircl and the Province of South Holland opened a new living lab, called Biobased Boulevard, part of The Green Village on TU Delft Campus. The intention is to use bio-based building materials in construction and renovation on a large scale. Natural raw materials such as hemp, bamboo, mycelium and seaweed are renewable, store CO2 and can be grown, harvested, used and reused in an ecologically responsible way.

The aim of the Biobased Boulevard to produce building products such as roof tiles and walls that are actually used in large construction projects. The director of The Green Village: says, Our rule-free field lab is the practical place for entrepreneurs, construction companies, clients, researchers and governments to test, develop and demonstrate bio-based building products and circular innovations. Here we bring all stakeholders together to gain knowledge, exchange and cooperate. This is an essential step to stimulate upscaling and to ultimately ensure biobased building products are used on a large scale.

Three products have already been developed.

1.    The Bio-Circular interior wall made with seaweed

The wall consists of stackable frames made of reclaimed wood, into which bio-based insulation mats are incorporated. The frames are covered with sheet material made of seaweed.

The advantage of seaweed is that it is a fast-growing crop that can be sustainably cultivated, requiring no land or fresh water. At the same time, the seaweed absorbs large amounts of CO2 and nitrogen, which is stored in the material. By mounting the seaweed panels on the frames with detachable glue, the panels themselves, as well as the frames, can be separated without damage and reused elsewhere.

In Microcosmos, Roberto de la Torre Photographs the Elaborate Masked Characters of Northern Spains Entroidos "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Vellarron de Catrelo de Cima, Galicia. All images Roberto de la Torre, shared with permission

In Microcosmos, photographer Roberto de la Torre (previously) centers his lens on the celebratory costumes of the entroido. Held widely in his home region of Galicia around Lent and the shift from winter to spring, entroidos are annual gastronomic carnivals in which food and dance are plentiful. Elaborate costumes and masks are essential for participation, which de la Torre documents in the ongoing series.

Taken throughout northern Spain and Portugal, the photos capture the expressive, varied designs made with feather-like husks, vibrant tufts of synthetic materials, and animal horns. Each costume is unique and tied to a specific role in the celebration. Some of them are difficult to portray because of their elusive character. Sometimes the people who wear them do not want them to become tourist symbols and lose their ritual character, so they do not like to be photographed, he tells Colossal.

The demonic Chocalheiro de Bemposta, for example, has bulbous horns and a serpent-like creature on the shoulder and is from a small Portuguese village in Mogadouro called Bemposta. It emerges twice annually, making an appearance the first day...

Colombia Sees a 29% Drop in Deforestation Over the Last Year

Deforestation Decreases in Colombia

Photo: ilyshev/Depositphotos

As the second-most biodiverse country in the world, Colombia has an important role to play on our planet. Over 60,000 species have been registered in the country, many of which call the Colombian Amazon home. But deforestation has always been an issue. Thankfully, according to official figures released by the government, deforestation fell 29% nationwide and 26% in the Amazon over the last year.

The impetus for this dramatic turnaround? It's all tied up in Colombia's complex political history. In 2016, then-president Juan Manuel Santos signed a ceasefire with the guerilla group FARC, ending 50 years of civil war. Unfortunately, the environment was not put at the forefront of those peace negotiations, and as splinter groups popped up in the Colombian countryside, the destruction of the Amazon rainforest continued and, in some cases, worsened.

Now, under the leadership of the country's first left-wing administration, the government is reaching out to these groups for individual peace talks. And often, the top bargaining chip is the environment. President Gustavo Petro has made a pledge to bring total peace to the country and is sending representatives deep into the Amazon to speak with these factions. In return, some of the rebel leaders have ordered farmers to stop cutting forest as a show of good faith.

Real Change Is Impossible While Our World Is Shrouded In Secrecy "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

BY CAITLIN JOHNSTONE,

I saw a video clip of Julian Assange speaking in London in 2010 where he made an important observation while explaining the philosophy behind his work with WikiLeaks. He said that all our political theories are to some extent bankrupt in our current situation, because our institutions are so shrouded in secrecy that we cant even know whats really going on in the world.

We can all write about our political issues, we can all push for particular things we believe in, we can all have particular brands of politics, but I say actually its all bankrupt, Assange said. And the reason its all bankrupt, and all current political theories are bankrupt and particular lines of political thought, is because actually we dont know what the hell is going on. And until we know the basic structures of our institutions how they operate in practice, these titanic organizations, how they behave inside, not just through stories but through vast amounts of internal documentations until we know that, how can we possibly make a diagnosis? How can we set the direction to go until we know where we are? We dont even have a map of where we are. So our first task is to build up a sort of intellectual heritage that describes where we are. And once we know where we are, then we have a hope of setting course for a different direction. Until then, I think all political theories to greater and lesser extents of course are bankrupt.

A Bench by Akasaki Vanhuyse on the River Thames Buoyantly Nods to Londons Maritime History "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

A circular bench made of bricks.

All images Akasaki Vanhuyse, shared with permission

Once the largest enclosed docks in the world, Londons Royal Docks span around 2.5 miles of waterway along the River Thames, encompassing about 250 acres. Today the home of numerous repurposed spaces and contemporary living developments, the area remains flush with industrial and maritime heritage, with historic architecture characterized by red brick. For design studio Akasaki Vanhuyse, founded by Japanese architect Kenta Akasaki and French designer Astrid Vanhuyse, Royal Albert Wharf provided the perfect platform for FLOAT, a curvaceous brick bench perched on the quayside.

Working with specialty brickmaker Mishelmersh, the designers tapped into the companys deadstock, plucking 360 pieces that were expertly cut into 13 unit types with specific angles and dimensions so that they could be precisely puzzled together into the final shape. The shape of the seat nods to the recognizable ring shape of the life preservers dotting the rivers edge, and users can sit around the perimeter or sink into the middle as if in an inner tube. By connecting the bench design to its immediate surroundings, we wanted to create a symbol for the town, the studio says.

99-Million-Year-Old Baby Bird Feathers Study Sheds Light on Dinosaur Extinction "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

99-Million-Year-Old Baby Bird Feathers Study Sheds Light on Dinosaur Extinction

Feathers From 99 Million Years Ago Shed Light on Fate of Dinosaur

These tiny baby bird feathers preserved in amber since the Cretaceous period have enabled scientists to understand the effects of such feather features on survival for certain species. (Photo: Shundong Bi)

Birds may not seem like fascinating windows into the past, but for paleontologists our feathery friends are living relics. Birds have a direct line of continuity back to the age of the dinosaurs. Many varieties survived while the likes of the T-Rex went extinct through catastrophic events. But why the birds were able to survive is still a question for study. New papers suggest that the molting patterns of certain prehistoric species may have engineered their survival and shaped the biology of modern birds.

Birds molt their feathers in a process which replaces these valuable appendages made of keratin (what composes our fingernails). Like human children loosing baby teeth, this is the process by which baby birds get adult feathers. There are two types of bird molting patterns to consider. Altricial birds are born naked and kept warm by their parents body heat. Precocial birds are born with their own baby feathers. They all molt periodically, even in adulthood, a process which is very energy-draining. It can also make a bird vulnerable to temperature changes if (like altricial chicks) the bird simultaneous molts all its feathers. This is less protective than species who lose and replace feathers progressively over a molting period.

A recent study by Shundong Bi and Jingmai OConnor examines baby bird feathers preserved in amber. An incredibly rare find, Chicago's...

XRP Overtakes Bitcoin In Highest Weekly Trading Volume Following Legal Triumph "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

XRP, the native token of the Ripple network, has reportedly surpassed Bitcoin in trading volume on the weekly average. The digital asset, following a significant legal win last week, now claims 21% of all cryptocurrency trade volume over the last week. This achievement is just one of many in Ripples recent journey in the spotlight.

Ripples presence in the news lately owes to a landmark court decision in its favor. The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had initially taken legal action against the firm, accusing it of selling unregistered securities.

However, a federal judge in New York has recently declared that XRP is only security when sold directly to institutional investors under specific written contracts. And when the token was sold to retail investors on crypto exchanges, it is not deemed a security.

This verdict led to major cryptocurrency exchanges relisting XRP, causing a subsequent surge in demand and trading volume.

Ripple Through The Market

Last weeks court decision catalyzed a rally for XRP, as its price experienced an approximate 65% increase. The relisting on various platforms, following the victory in court, ignited significant interest in the token and pushed trading volumes to new heights.

However, it is worth noting that XRP has experienced a 20% drop in value after reaching its recent peak. Yet, this has not seemed...
