Bitcoin Miners Selling Again, Will Price Crash Again? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

On-chain data shows that Bitcoin miners may have once again been participating in selling recently, something that could lead to the asset declining.

Bitcoin Miner Reserve Has Been Declining In The Last Two Weeks

As pointed out by an analyst in a CryptoQuant post, the BTC miner reserve has been observing outflows recently. The miner reserve here refers to the total amount of Bitcoin that the miners as a whole are holding in their wallets right now.

When the value of this metric goes up, it means that these chain validators are transferring coins into their addresses currently. This kind of trend can be a sign that the miners are accumulating, and hence, can be bullish for the price of the asset.

On the other hand, the indicator trending down suggests the miners are taking BTC out of their wallets at the moment. Generally, these investors withdraw coins from their reserve for selling-related purposes, so such a trend can have bearish consequences for the cryptocurrencys value.

In the context of the current discussion, the miner reserve itself isnt of interest, but rather its rate of change (ROC) is. This metric keeps track of the percentage changes in the miner reserve over a specific period. Here, the relevant period is the 14-day one.

Now, below is a chart that shows the trend in the 14-day ROC of the Bitcoin miner reserves over the last few months:

Bitcoin miner reserve ROC

As shown in the above graph, the 14-day ROC of the miner reserve had been green last month as Bitcoin had rallied above the $30,000 level. These positive values of the indicator imply that the miner reserve had been rapidly going up.

The timing of these positive ROC values could suggest that the accumulation from the miners might have provided support for the surge in the cryptocurrencys price.

In the first week of this month, though, the metric turned negative, implying that the miner reserve started to decline. The miners look to have continued to withdraw coins from their wallets since then, as the indicators value has remained red.

The Bitcoin price has been struggling in this period, as it hasnt been able to mount up any significant moves. It would appear that this selling...

Today, contemporary artists can find everything they need at an art supply store. Whether they are looking for a new shade of paint or a set of colored pencils, they are spoiled for choice. However, before you could buy paint, creatives had to make their materials themselves. Artist and ochre specialist Heidi Gustafson's Book of Earth provides a scientific guide to creating color with naturally occurring pigments.

Featuring an array of vibrant photographs and examples from Gustafson's personal collection of 600 rare pigments, there is a lot to unpack in this book. It walks readers through a thorough exploration of color while challenging our notions of the inanimate world. In his review, author Jason Logan says of the book, This is real information. Crucial information. Life in death and death in life kind of information for our moment. Prayers and Pills. And all tucked into a beautiful book of craft, edged by handmade carpentry holders of pigment and secrets.

Each chapter explores a type of ochre and earth pigment, including biogenic iron, hematite and specularite, goethite and limonite, celadonite, and many others. Structurally, Book of Earth follo...

Binance Implements Lightning Network Support For Bitcoin Transactions "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Binance, one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has successfully integrated Bitcoin (BTC) onto the Lightning Network, enabling faster and more efficient transactions. As of today, users can now deposit and withdraw Bitcoin (BTC) using the Lightning Network on the Binance platform.

The integration of Bitcoin on the Lightning Network marks a significant milestone for Binance, as it aims to enhance the speed and scalability of Bitcoin transactions. By leveraging the Lightning Network, Binance aims to address the scalability challenges associated with the Bitcoin network, allowing users to enjoy faster and cheaper transactions. Previously, Binance has experienced issues in high fee environments, most recently highlighted when Bitcoin inscriptions caused a surge in fees.

With the Lightning Network integration, Binance users can now take advantage of the Lightning Network's off-chain payment channels to send and receive bitcoin transactions with reduced fees and faster settlement times. This development comes just as Lightning is being integrated into other exchange platforms, essentially becoming an expectation for quick and easy bitcoin transactions. Just last week, a European exchange named Coinfinity also integrated the Lightning Network, with plans for further integration down the road.

According to the official announcement by Binance, users can find their assigned bitcoin deposit addresses on the Lightning Network within the Deposit Crypto page on the platform. The exchange has also provided a FAQ section to guide users on how to deposit bitcoin using the Lightning Network.

The integration of the Lightning Network for bitcoin transactions is expected to bring tangible benefits to Binance users, offering them a faster and more cost-effective way to engage with the leading cryptocurrency.

Stablecoin Exchange Deposits Remain Low, What Does It Mean For Bitcoin? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

On-chain data shows the stablecoin exchange deposits have remained low recently. Heres what this may mean for Bitcoin.

Stablecoin Exchange Deposits Stay Low, While Withdrawals Jump

As pointed out by an analyst in a CryptoQuant post, the fact that the stablecoin exchange withdrawals have spiked while deposits have stayed low may be slightly alarming for BTC.

There are two indicators of relevance here: the stablecoin exchange withdrawing transactions and the stablecoin exchange depositing transactions. As their names already imply, these metrics track the total number of withdrawals and deposit transfers, respectively, that investors of the ERC-20 stables are making right now.

Generally, investors seek the safety of these fiat-tied tokens whenever they want to escape the volatility associated with the other assets in the sector. Eventually, when these holders think that the prices are right to jump back into the volatile markets, they swap their stables back for their desired cryptocurrency.

These investors usually make use of centralized exchanges for this purpose. So, when the exchange withdrawing transactions are high, it can be a sign that holders are exchanging coins like Bitcoin for stablecoins right now.

On the other hand, the deposits being high can imply these investors are looking to buy volatile assets using their stables. Naturally, in the former case, Bitcoin and others may feel a bearish effect from the selling, while in the latter case, the prices might see a bullish boost.

Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the stablecoin exchange withdrawing and depositing transactions over the past couple of years:

Stablecoin Deposits And Bitcoin

As displayed in the above graph, the stablecoin exchange depositing transactions metric has been relatively low for a while now. This would suggest that there may not be enough demand for converting stables into other assets right now.

From the graph, its visible that the last time the indicator spiked was back in March of this year. Following the deposits back then, Bitcoin observed a sharp rebound in its price as the rally saw a revival. The timing of these inflows might mean that it was the buying from these stablecoin holders that had provide...

Scientists believe that less than .04 percent (check out that decimal point!) of the worlds fungi has been documented, which adds up to only a little over 120,000 species out of a conservatively estimated 3.2 million worldwide. Mycologists Danny Newman and Roo Vandegrift have spent the last 12 years focusing on locations impacted by the climate crisis and increasing human interference, like Ecuadors Reserva Los Cedros. Their stunning photographs (previously) capture the vibrant hues, delicate gills, and thin stems of a vast range of fungi in the mountainous cloud forest.

In 2018, the Ecuadorian government declared the Los Cedros reserveone of the last unlogged watersheds on the western slope of the Andesopen for mining, putting countless flora and fauna at risk. In a stunning legal upset, the mining concessions which threatened to turn Los Cedros into a toxic, barren wasteland were rescinded by the Ecuadorian supreme court, who specifically citedour fungal diversity research in their ruling, Newman says.

Charming Drawings Capture the Quaint Beauty of Korean Convenience Stores

Pen Drawing by Lee Me Kyeoung

Seoul-based artist Lee Me Kyeoung finds beauty in unexpected places. Her ongoing series of delicate pen drawings capture the quaint convenience stores of South Korea that often go overlooked. Nestled in green surroundings and sparkling with personality, these illustrations document small businesses that are slowly dying out.

Each of Kyeoung's drawings features a unique storefront and the few plants that frame it set against a blank white background. In doing so, the individuality of these structures is highlighted, helping us notice everything from the quirky decor to slightly aging features. Despite their charm, Kyeoung noticed that these establishments are slowly disappearing from communities and being replaced with newer businesses. So, before they go, she is making sure that their existence is recorded in her art.

With the amount of detail that Kyeoung puts into her pen drawings, it's very easy to imagine stepping into these places and going shopping. When we open the narrow door of the store, recollecting the old memories, the store might give the sweetest, over the familiarity to even a stranger, she says. That is a charming point of small stores.

Be sure to follow Kyeoung on Instagram to keep up to date with her latest creations.

Celsius Is Selling, More Pain For BNB, LINK, And SNX? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Celsius, the bankrupt crypto lender, has started selling its non-Bitcoin and non-Ethereum crypto assets, records on July 17 indicate. According to on-chain data from Lookonchain, Celsius has transferred approximately $23.5 million of various cryptocurrencies, including BNB, ZRX, LINK, BONE, and SNX, to FalconX and OKX, respectively.

Different amounts of these tokens were transferred by Celsius, a move that, while it could be positive for creditors, may impact the token valuations of those projects.

Celsius Selling Altcoins

Lookonchain revealed that Celsius moved $8.5 million worth of LINK, the native currency of Chainlink, a middleware protocol linking on-chain smart contracts to external but verified data. At the same time, it also moved $7.84 million worth of SNX, the native token of Synthetix, a protocol allowing users to trade derivatives called synths, was transferred.

Celsius also went on to move $3 million worth of BNB, the coin behind the sprawling Binance ecosystem, $2.26 million worth of 1INCH, the token aggregator, and $1.9 million worth of ZRX, the token behind one of the first decentralized finance platforms, Ox Protocol.

The bankrupt lender also moved $709,678 worth of FTT, the token behind the collapsed FTX exchange, to FalconX. In response, FalconX has started depositing these tokens to Binance for selling.

The only token moved to a different exchange was BONE, where Celsius moved $235,000 of the meme token to the popular cryptocurrency exchange, OKX.

While OKX caters to retail and institutional investors, FalconX serves institutional investors, offering diverse services, including liquidity provision and risk management. So far, a large tranche of tokens held by Celsius has moved through FalconX.

In late June, Judge Martin Glenn of the Southern District of New York allowed Celsius to start converting all their tokens to either Bitcoin or Ethereum, the two currencies that would be allowed to pay back creditors. All conversions were set to begin on July 1.

Altcoins Taking A Hit

The transfer also comes amid a favorable ruling that saw a US Judge say XRP, one of the major altcoins, is not a security and can be traded like a commodity, just like Bitcoin. However, even though news pumped altcoins, mostly XRP, momentum tapered during the weekend, and most altcoins fell back from last weeks highs.

We Need Your Immediate Help To Stop Several Bad Vaccine Bills In Massachusetts! "IndyWatch Feed Food"

Massachusettss legislators are considering troubling bills to eliminate or restrict vaccination exemptions, reducing accountability and increasing government bureaucracy.  These bills would eliminate religious exemptions, shame schools, and parents, and permit minors to make vaccine decisions without parental knowledge or consent.

S.1391 and H.604 would remove religious belief exemptions for school-required vaccines and grant authority to school physicians to deny medical exemptions, disregarding documentation from the childs own physician.  Additionally, these bills mandate the publication of exemption data.

H.2151 and S.1458 retain medical and religious belief exemptions for mandatory vaccines but impose stringent conditions on these exemptions.  The health department would oversee the existing forms, religious exemptions would necessitate the primary healthcare providers signature, and all exemptions would be subject to review by the department of public health, valid for only one year.  Additionally, the number of exemptions would be made public, and the bills grant minors the ability to consent to vaccination.

Another bill, H.471 would add human papillomavirus (HPV) and hepatitis A vaccines to the list of vaccines required for school.

Each of these bills will be heard in the Joint Committee on Public Health on Wednesday, 7-19-2023.  Help us say NO to these bad vaccine bills today!

Polkadot (DOT) Price Momentum Builds As Open Interest Climbs Details "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Polkadot (DOT) has enjoyed a successful three-week period, with bullish investors maintaining their position at the forefront despite fluctuations in the market.

In addition, the recent legal victory of Ripple against the US Securities and Exchange Commission triggered a positive response across the entire market, benefiting not only significant cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) but also altcoins in general.

Nevertheless, it is essential to note that Bitcoin and Ether experienced notable downward corrections in the short term after they attempted to surge higher last week. As a result, there might be some selling pressure soon for these leading cryptocurrencies, which could potentially harm the price of DOT.

Given this scenario, how can DOT bulls regain control and overcome a potential market correction?

DOT Price Update: Minor Dip, But Open Interest Improves

The latest update on DOTs price from CoinGecko shows that it currently stands at $5.30. While the cryptocurrency experienced a slight decline of 1.7% over the past 24 hours, it still managed to maintain a seven-day rally of 4.8%. However, a closer analysis of the DOT price report shows some concerning indicators.

According to a report, by mid-June, the Open Interest had significantly diminished compared to its April levels, signaling a bearish sentiment. However, as the month advanced, a reversal in this trend emerged.

To Drive Meaningful Adoption, We Should Accept That Bitcoin Is Not For Everyone "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

This is an opinion editorial by Fernando Nikolic, the director of marketing and communications for Blockstream.

Bitcoin is not for everyone. It's a bold statement that may seem counterintuitive when the goal is mass adoption. After all, shouldn't we aim to convince everyone about the benefits of Bitcoin? Well, the truth is, we can't. And that's okay.

In our world, it's easy to live within a filter bubble, surrounded by like-minded plebs who reinforce our beliefs. But when we attempt to market Bitcoin to the masses, we quickly realize that not everyone shares our enthusiasm. The resounding chorus of "no" can be disheartening, and there are many examples of people claiming to give up on orange-pilling normies.

That's not the way forward. We just need to resist the temptation to use the same message on the ocean of regular people who we want to bring to our side.

Finding Our Swimming Pool

Instead, we need to find our swimming pool, a smaller audience that gives us the chance to make a real impact. It's unrealistic to expect every person to embrace Bitcoin, even with the most compelling pitch. By accepting this reality, we can laser-focus our efforts on those who are open to change and receptive to the message.

An example of someone who has understood this is Hermann Vivier from Bitcoin Ekasi. He is laser-focused on building a circular economy in a very specific place: the township of JCC Camp in South Africa and knows everything about the people in that community: their pain, beliefs, needs, doubts and educates his local community about Bitcoin based on this information.

Vivier knows certain things that we might value will not be seen in the same regard among his community members, so he adopts their language, sprinkles it in with Bitcoin truth and makes the case for Bitcoin in a way that only they can truly understand.

To me, that is the spirit of respect. We must acknowledge that Bitcoin is not for everyone. This doesn't mean we are excluding or dismissing individuals; it's about recognizing that our offering is tailored to different, specific groups.

By saying, "It's not for you," we show respect for everyones time, beliefs and desires. We can proudly declare, "This for you. Not for the other folks, but for you."

To create something meaningful for the people who are willing to listen and study Bitcoin, we must embrace the freedom to ignore the critics who will never understand it. Our focus should be on polishing our stories for those who truly need to hear it, and want to hear it.

Success lies in changing the lives of the people who trust us, the ones who have connected with our vision. What others outside our target audience think becomes completely irrelevant!

Because there's one thing about normies that applies everywhere: They truly st...

Big Bitcoin Move Ahead: Bollinger Bands See Extreme Squeeze "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Since the Bitcoin price reached a new yearly high of $31,840 last week, only to invalidate the bullish breakout within a few hours and fall towards $30,000, there has been a strange tranquility in the market. Already since June 23, BTC has been in the trading range between $29,800 and $31,300, with every breakout attempt to the upside and downside having failed within a very short period of time.

However, one of the most prominent technical indicators, the Bollinger Bands, predict that this calm may soon be over. Created by the esteemed trader John Bollinger, these bands provide invaluable insights into market volatility and potential price levels.

Bollinger Bands Predict Big Move For Bitcoin

The Bollinger Bands consist of three distinct lines on a price chart: the middle band, the upper band, and the lower band. The middle band is a simple moving average (SMA) that represents the average price over a specified period. The upper and lower bands are derived from the middle band, with the upper band usually set two standard deviations above the SMA, and the lower band set two standard deviations below it.

The primary purpose of the Bollinger Bands is to measure market volatility. When the price of an asset experiences significant fluctuations, the bands widen, indicating increased volatility. Conversely, during periods of reduced price movement, the bands contract, indicating lower volatility. This contraction is commonly referred to as a squeeze, where the upper and lower bands come closer together, forming a narrowing price channel.

When the Bollinger Bands squeeze, the potential for a significant price movement looms. The squeeze suggests that the market is in a state of temporary equilibrium, akin to a coiled spring ready to release its stored energy. The direction of the breakout determines whether its a bullish or bearish signal.

Up Or Down?

Glassnode, a respected on-chain data provider, highlighted today the current state of the Bitcoin market, noting a remarkably low volatility environment. The 20-day Bollinger Bands are experiencing an extreme squeeze, with a mere 4.2% price range separating the upper and lower bands. This suggests that Bitcoin is currently in a period of limited price movement, making this the quietest Bitcoin market since the lull in early January.

SisterFelon Person Wonders If Having Her Sister Charged With A Felony Would Be A Step Too Far

Everyone knows the saying if you cant do the time, dont do the crime, but what if the person in question is family?

If they stole from you, would you press charges or just hope they learned their lesson?

OP was expecting a decent amount of money in the form of a grant.

When they never received the check, they contacted the bank and learned that their sister contrived to cash the check, stealing the money and never saying a word.

I had a small grant come in the mail for about $3500. I had never received it and became confused on where the check was at. The college finance dept. told me it was cashed back in April and the name of the bank.

Some time passed and I ended up finding out my sister written down my social security number on the back of the check, forged my signature and told the banker I allowed her to cash the check, never needed to provide an ID either.

The banker allowed it and my sister never said a word.

Their sister was arrested, but their mom and grandma think OP should not charge her with theft because shell have to go to jail for the felony crime.

she was arrested recently so now my mom and grandma are saying she will be in serious trouble if I dont drop the charges and that I shouldnt do that to my sister.

OP says they never got along with their sister, who also recently stole a good amount of cash from their grandmother.

My sister and I do not get along. We havent for awhile. A few we...

$18 Billion Worth Of Bitcoin Accumulated At $30,200 BTC Bull Run Incoming? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

A record 592,000 Bitcoin, or roughly $17.8 billion, was accumulated when the coin was trading at $30,200, recent Glassnode data indicates. At this accumulation rate, suggesting possible demand, more entities bought more coins at the second fastest pace in the networks history. This record was only broken when 637,000 BTC were bought at an average price of $16,500.

592,000 Bitcoin Bought At $30,200

The spike in Bitcoin accumulated at this price point preceded the decision by a United States court to rule that XRP, an altcoin issued from the XRP Ledger (XRPL), is a commodity, just like Bitcoin. The ruling on Friday, July 14, was received positively by the crypto community and temporarily lifted prices, sustaining Bitcoin above the psychological $30,000 mark.

Bitcoin price on July 16| Source: BTCUSDT on Binance, TradingView

According to Glassnode, the Bitcoin Entity-Adjusted Economic Ratio Per Day (ERPD) is a metric designed to assess economic activity within the network, considering the number of entities participating. This metric is calculated by dividing the Network Value to Transactions (NVT) ratio by the entity-adjusted on-chain volume.

In on-chain analysis, the NVT ratio represents the relationship between the market capitalization and the recorded on-chain trading volumes at a specific price point. A higher NVT ratio indicates a greater value than recorded trading volumes.

While the NVT reading can be useful, it can also be misleading if the entities, or clustered addresses, involved in transactions are not accounted for. To correct this error, the ERPD integrates addresses involved at that price point, used in taking account of the market cap. This way, it can be easy to gauge the entities and total coins involved.

Shifting Sentiment?

The surge in Bitcoin ERPD development will also likely impact altcoins. Considering its liquidity and support across the board, Bitcoin sets the tone for other altcoins in crypto. Its performance and transactions can gauge market-wide sentiment, which might, in turn, change how altcoins are perceived in the current market conditions.

Still, some commentators on Twitter were unsure if the metric was a positive development or a position for further price crashes. One believes that most such transactions are conducted by paper hands who buy Bitcoin when the price increases and are set to sell at any moment of negative news....

J. Robert Oppenheimer Explains How, Upon Witnessing the First Nuclear Explosion, He Recited a Line from the Bhagavad Gita: Now I Am Become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

No matter how little we know of the Hindu religion, a line from one of its holy scriptures lives within us all: Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds. This is one facet of the legacy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, an American theoretical physicist who left an outsized mark on history. For his crucial role in the Manhattan Project that during World War II produced the first nuclear weapons, hes now remembered as thefather of the atomic bomb. He secured that title on July 16, 1945, the day of the test in the New Mexican desert that proved these experimental weapons actually work that is, they could wreak a kind of destruction previously only seen in visions of the end of the world.

We knew the world would not be the same, Oppenheimer remembered in 1965. A few people laughed, a few people cried. Most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita; Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and, to impress him, takes on his multi-armed form and says, Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'

Shiba Inu Encounters Familiar Resistance, Prompting Concerns About Bull Run "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Shiba Inu (SHIB) has faced a significant challenge in the form of the December 2022 low. This crucial level has proved a formidable barrier for SHIB bulls, thwarting their attempts to increase prices.

Despite recent upside movements, the resistance at this level has proven to be persistent, creating a precarious situation for the cryptocurrency.

As the price of SHIB hovers in this area, the question arises: Will the selling pressure overpower the bulls determination and cause a reversal in the price action?

Shiba Inu Faces Bearish Order Block And Potential Liquidity Hunt

SHIB faces a significant challenge as its December 2022 low coincides with a bearish order block (OB) ranging from $0.00000785 to $0.00000824. This particular range, as highlighted in a recent SHIB price report, could serve as a stronghold for bearish sentiment in the market.

Consequently, the possibility of a liquidity hunt in this region cannot be disregarded, potentially leading sellers to extend their gains toward the immediate support level at $0.00000711.

Amid recent market fluctuations, SHIB is currently trading at $0.00000788, based on data by crypto market tracker Coingecko. This reflects a decline of 3.4% over the past 24 hours.

However, despite this short-term setback, SHIB has also notched a seven-day rally of 3.4%, showcasing its inherent resilience and potential for recovery in the long run.

Decrease In SHIB Token Burns: Implications For Supply, Demand

Meanwhile, Shibburn reported a notable decline in the number of tokens burned within the past 24 hours. A mere 1,233,806 SHIB tokens were burned in a single transaction, representing a sharp 91.59% decrease in the daily burn rate and in contrast, the previous week witnessed the burning of nearly 1 billion SHIB tokens.

Wes Anderson Explains How He Built Asteroid City, the Fictional American Desert Town in His New Film "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Wes Andersons latest picture Asteroid City is named for the small Arizona town (population: 87) in which its central story takes place. That town, in turn, is named for the incident that made it (modestly) famous: the impact of an asteroid that left behind a large crater. That crater was one of the features that Anderson and his production designers had to make for the shoot but then, so was everything else in Asteroid City, which had to be raised whole in an out-of-the-way area of Spain. Unlikely though it may sound in itself, the cinematic project of re-creating the American West in southern Europe isnt without precedent: the Spaghetti Westerns of the nineteen-sixties and seventies also relied on the Spanish desert to provide the right atmosphere of sublime desolation.

Just as movies like A Fistful of Dollars or Django are rooted in a certain conception of the second half of the nineteenth century, so Asteroid City is rooted in a certain conception of the middle of the twentieth. This comes through most clearly in the architecture of their sets.

Ripple Vs. SEC: XRP Investors Need To Know This Next Deadline "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In the legal battle between Ripple Labs and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the recent order granting in part and denying in part the motion for Summary Judgment by Judge Torres has left many XRP investors eagerly awaiting the next steps. To shed some light on the situation, prominent attorney Jeremy Hogan has shared his thoughts on the matter, offering valuable insights into the potential appeal process with deadlines and its implications for both parties involved.

Ripple Vs. SEC: The Next Possible Deadline

Hogan, a seasoned attorney with experience in appeals, cautions that appeals are typically pursued after a case is completely finished. After the final judgment is entered, either party has 60 days to appeal, says Hogan who emphasized that the Ripple case is not yet finalized, any potential appeal at this stage would be considered an interlocutory appeal.

As far as I can see in the Rules, you have 10 days to notice an interlocutory appeal, states Hogan. Since the Summary Judgment was issued on July 13, an appeal by the SEC or Ripple Labs would have to be filed by July 23 at the latest (or by July 24 if the deadline does not start until the following day). This means that next Monday at the latest it will become public whether one of the parties files an appeal.

But an interlocutory appeal is rarely granted and generally requires compelling reasons, such as the release of significant information that could impact the case. However, Hogan points out that Judge Torres did not certify her ruling for immediate review, indicating that an interlocutory appeal might not be granted in this scenario. This suggests that the SEC and Ripple would need to wait for a final judgment before pursuing an appeal. Hogan believes that both parties might ultimately choose not to appeal for various reasons.

According to the lawyer, the SEC might hesitate to appeal because, even if successful, it could potentially jeopardize their overall case. Winning the appeal would retract some unfavorable aspects of the trial-level case. However, if the SEC were to lose at the appellate level, it could set a precedent that all courts in the 2nd DCA (Second District Court of Appeals) would have to follow, amplifying the impact of their loss.

On the other hand, Hogan believes that Ripple may opt not to appeal if it can afford to pay the fine and if the rulings effect on its business, particularly the aspect concerning the On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) feature, is manageable. These factors, combined with the fact that Ripple secured a favorable outcome in the ruling, might dissuade them from pursuing an appeal.

When considering the potential...

USTC Surprises With Nearly 60% Rally Whats Going On? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The value and popularity of TerraUSD Classic, or USTC, the algorithmic stablecoin of the Terra Classic (LUNC) ecosystem, have skyrocketed recently.

Today, the stablecoin makes a surprise rally, sparking a great deal of interest among investors and cryptocurrency aficionados.

The sharp growth in USTC could be an indication of a sharp rise in demand and emphasizes the markets rising confidence in this stablecoin.

Data from crypto market tracker Coingecko shows USTC trading at $0.0186, notching a 24-hour increase in value of 21.4%. In the last seven days, the stablecoin registered an impressive 58% rally, causing its trading volume to balloon to a solid 409%.

USTC Organic Growth Pushes Stablecoin Up

Despite the fact that the causes of this upswing are yet unknown, the recent spike in USTCs value shows organic growth.

Organic growth refers to the increase in value of USTC that occurs naturally, without the influence of external factors or artificial means.

It suggests that the growth is the result of the companys internal operations, strategies, and market dynamics, rather than being driven by external factors such as acquisitions, mergers, or financial manipulations.

After it was de-pegged more than a year ago, USTC saw a huge price decline. Since USTC is a stablecoin with a 1:1 tie to the USD, its price should always be $1.

The stablecoin has since traded at lower prices, reaching a 52-week high of $0.06 during that time. There are signs, nevertheless, that USTC could revisit the $1 level and recoup its worth.

The TerraUSD Classic de-pegging caused major difficulties for the larger digital currency ecosystem, and its effects are still being felt today.

A few Web3.0 firms with exposure to its parent company Terraform Labs went out of business in addition to the more than 99% decline in price of its linked cryptocurrency, Terra Classic.

Take a look at her story and see what you think.

AITAH for exposing my friends reason for a cash bar at her wedding?

I (40sF) have a friend (40sF) who recently got married, I am close enough to her to have been in her wedding.

When we were planning her wedding with her, she kept mentioning how she was on a budget. Thankfully she has connections and was able to put together an amazing dream wedding within her budget. With a guest list of about 200 people, they invited 300 but 200 RSVPd yes.

Her venue was a gift from her uncle who owns a wedding venue in New England. Her catering was gifted to her from a friend who owns an amazing restaurant. Her flowers were a gift from her aunt who is a florist. Their rings were heavily discounted from a friend who works for a jewelry company and let her use their discount, so they paid cost.

Her DJ and photographer were also gifts, as one of the members of the wedding party has a family event entertainment business. I guess what Im trying to convey is that a lot of her wedding was gifted to her. Her largest expenses with the wedding were her dress and their rings. No shade, the wedding was amazing, she looked stunning, and everyone had a fantastic time.

Nikkis Weekly Tarot Reading: July 17-23, 2023 "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

The cards pictured above are from the Aquarian Tarot deck.

Two of Rods and The Tower

This weeks cards share a strong message as we step into a New Moon in Cancer on July 17 and the start of Leo Season on July 22. They give tough love and valuable wisdom to help us navigate the cosmic energy that surrounds us.

Lets first talk about The Tower. This is a card that often brings up dread and fear, but I see it as a sign that we are ready for honesty and new beginnings.

The theme of The Tower is truth. The Tower wants us to focus on the facts above all else. It wants us to be vigilant in our truth-finding and seek to remove any lies surrounding us.

The Tower urges us to deal with the decaying underbrush in our lives so we can plant our seeds in fresh soil. If we have a lot of debris lying around, there is no place for new growth to sprout.

The Tower asks us: Are we currently holding on to a story that we have outgrown? Are there people in our lives that we need to let go of? Are we engaging in things that deplete our energy or hinder our evolution?

With The Tower as our guide for this week, we are called to practice authenticity to create fertile ground. We are called to bring awareness to the blocks we are holding on to and find a way to release them.

The warning with this card is, if we do not do the cutting out ourselves, things might crumble on their own. How can we be more honest with ourselves in order to grow? How can we secure a strong foundation to build our future?

Through The Tower, we will question our narratives. To do this, we start to pay attention to the stories and lies we tell ourselves to get through. We see what is true and what is just fear.

The Tower will no longer stand for limiting beliefs or practices. We are worthy of so much but sometimes we settle for so little. However, with this card, we see ourselves starting to shed those lies and live in the truth.

Next, lets focus on the Two of Wands, which is the perfect card for the start of Leo Season. With a strong foundation, we start to build our authentic path.

The Two of Wands asks: What is the place that makes you feel the most energized? Where are you confident and in charge? Where are your happy places?

The Two of Wands wants you to contemplate these questions. It wants you to tap into the things that fill you up and make you feel purposeful and passionate. Wherever you feel the fire is where you should direct your energy.

The Two of Wands is all about using the places in your life where you feel the strongest and most confident to give you information about your true purpose. You can also use these places to give you more strength and confidence in other areas.

The idea is if you know you can be courageous in some areas of your life, why ca...

China Developing Brain Control Weapons, Could Pave the Way for New World Order: Report "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

By Frank Fang, China is developing weapons targeting brain functions, with the goal of engaging in cognitive warfare to influence government and military leaders and control entire populations, according to a new report. Unknown to many, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) have established themselves as world leaders in the development of NeuroStrike weapons, says the report (pdf), which was written by three intelligence analysts who co-founded the CCP BioThreats Initiative. Currently, China does not have the defense industrial base to manufacture the types of technologies for a NeuroStrike program that matches the strategic ambitions of the CCP, the report said, but a breakthrough in research could have serious implications. Any breakthrough in this research would provide unprecedented tools for the CCP to forcibly establish a new world order, which has been [Chinese leader] Xi Jinpings lifelong goal, the report says. The reports revelation adds to the challenges facing the free world, as the CCP aims to reshape the current rule-based international order. In February, the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence said in a report that China is using programs and initiatives to promote a China-led alternative to the current...

Forestiere Underground Gardens in California "IndyWatch Feed Diy"

During the California heat wave of 1906, Baldassare Forestiere dug a home underground with just a pickax and shovel. He spent 40 years excavating 10 acres of rooms, tunnels, a chapel, an underground aquarium, and courtyards to experiment with underground farming. With no budget, he mixed mortar from the dirt he dug out, creating his own concrete and bricks. Despite continuing to work as a day laborer during the day (mostly digging irrigation ditches), by the 1920s, he had completed about 50 subterranean rooms.

A Sicilian immigrant to Fresno, California, Forestiere had planned to farm citrus until discovering that his 80 acres of hardpan soil were unusable for planting. Digging as far as 20 feet below the surface, Forestiere reached depths wher...

Man Wins the Lottery 14 Times Using a Simple System of Basic Math "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Man Wins the Lottery 14 Times Using a Simple System of Basic Math

How Stefan Mandel Won the Lottery 14 Times

Photo: HayDmitriy/Depositphotos

The chances of winning the lottery are one in a million. But not for Stefan Mandel. In the 1980s and 1990s, the Romanian-Australian economist managed to win the lottery an astounding 14 times. Everything he did was perfectly legal and all it took was some simple calculations.

Mandel was born in Romania and his first two wins came in his home country. He was spurred to win the lottery to collect enough money to move his family out of the then-Communist country. To do so, he developed an ingenious system. First, he looked at different lotteries to see how many different combinations were needed to cover every possible draw.

For instance, if a particular lottery plays numbers 1 to 40 and requires a six-number combination to win, there are 3,838,380 possible outcomes. Mandel realized that sometimes purchasing enough tickets to cover every combination cost less than the potential jackpot. For instance, if the jackpot was $10 million and tickets cost $1, someone could buy all the tickets up and guarantee themselves a win, as well as a handsome profit. All he needed to do was raise enough capital to buy the tickets.

This is how he began forming lottery syndicates, where investors put in money to purchase lottery tickets, and the winnings were split. His first win using this system earned him a $19,000 jackpot, of which he pocketed $3,700. While that might not seem like much, it was enough to move his family out of Romania and settle down in Australia.

While in Australia, he won a staggering 12 jackpots, plus many other smaller prizes. Mandel set up larger and larger syndicates, all while staying within the rules and regulations of the game. At the time, it was legal to print tickets at home, which allowed Mandel to purchase millions of tickets and automate a way to fill in the different combinations.

After big wins in the...

Sweet Boy Stops to Hug Every Stray Dog He Passes on His Way to School

Screenshots of video showing a boy hugging a dog on the street

Photo: Screenshot from Facebook

Many people's routines would vastly improve if they got to hug a dog on their way to work or school. A boy named Ibrahim is leading by example, and in doing so, he has warmed the hearts of thousands around the globe. In a moving video posted on Facebook, the kid is seen stopping on his way to school to embrace a couple of stray dogs in Grozny, Chechnya.

The 30-second clip is a powerful statement of a boy's love for all canines. Filmed in 2021 by a resident in a nearby building, the footage begins with the boy giving a dog a hug, and petting the pooch's friend with a smile on his face. After walking away, Ibrahim seems to change his mind and quickly retraces his steps to give the first dog an even longer, tender embrace.

The sweetest aspect of this is that Ibrahim thinks no one is watching, and hes just being his truest, most loving self. It is unclear if this is the first time he encountered the dogs, or if he knows their story and believes they could use a hug on a chilly morning. Whatever the case, his love for the creatures is palpable.

For those who know Ibrahim, this is just another example of his goodness. I saw the video. Thats Ibrahim, Katerina, a friend of Ibrahims family, told The Dodo. He goes to school with my daughter and helps her carry her bag. Hes a very kind boy.

If there's one take away from Ibrahim's actions, it is that something as simple as a hug can brighten someone's dayand it goes both ways. You never know how many people you may be inspiring by simply sharing your love with the world.

Synthetix (SNX) Up By 35% In Anticipation Of New Decentralized Exchange "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

SNX, the native token of the Synthetix Network, has been on the rise, gaining more than 35% in the past week. The cryptocurrency continues to exhibit strong bullish momentum, having registered a positive market performance over the past few weeks.

SNXs recent price surge has been linked to the positive sentiment surrounding the Synthetix network. A few days ago, the protocol announced its plan to release a new decentralized exchange (DEX).

Synthetix Token Tallies 35% In One Week Price Overview

The cryptocurrency market experienced a jolt of positivity after the long-running battle between payments and technology firm Ripple the company behind XRP and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) came to a positive conclusion on Thursday. US District Judge Annalisa Torres delivered a landmark judgment declaring the XRP token as non-security, thereby granting a decisive triumph for Ripple.

However, unlike other cryptocurrencies, the price of SNX barely reacted to this piece of news. The tokens value increased by a mere 5% following the announcement of the courts decision.

SNX did experience a surge of its own the following day. On Friday, July 14, the tokens price jumped by nearly 40%, touching the $3 level before retracing back to $2.5.

As of this writing, the Synthetix token is valued at $2.82, with an 8% price increase in the last 24 hours. With a market cap of $903.4 million, SNX ranks as the 47th-biggest cryptocurrency, according to CoinGecko data.

Synthetix

The recent increase in SNXs price is believed to have been triggered by the announcement of a new Synthetix trading product. In a blogpost released on Friday, the protocols founder Kain Warwick unveiled plans to introduce a new derivatives front-end called Infinex.

What Is Infinex?

Infinex is a new derivatives front-end to the decentralized trading infrastructure of Synthetix. The exchange is expected to be an improvement on the already-existing Kwenta, Synthetixs derivatives decentralized exchange on Optimism.

According to Kain Warwick, Infinex will remove the impediments to the growth of Synthetixs decentralized trading ecosystem. Firstly, it will address the inconvenience of acquiring sUSD, Synthetixs stablecoin, to begin trading on Kwenta. Also, it will eliminate the need to sign every action on th...

Copernicus Lost Secret: The Quantity Theory Of Money "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

This is an opinion editorial by Bitcoin Graffiti, a software developer and graffiti artist.

Source

"Those things which I am saying now may be obscure, yet they will be made clearer in their proper place."

Nicolaus Copernicus

In the annals of history, Nicholas Copernicus is celebrated as the groundbreaking astronomer who toppled the geocentric view and unveiled the heliocentric model, placing the sun at the center of our solar system. However, there is a lesser-known facet of Copernicus' genius that remains shrouded in obscurity: his profound contributions to monetary thought.

While his astronomical achievements have captivated generations, his insights into the nature of money and its effects on economies have largely been overlooked.

As the medieval era drew to a close, marked by transformative inventions like the Gutenberg printing press and the disruptive force of gunpowder, Copernicus's groundbreaking work challenged not only the prevailing astronomical beliefs but also the accepted notions of money.

The emergence of the printing press ushered in an era of unprecedented knowledge dissemination, gradually eroding the information monopoly of the Catholic Church. Concurrently, the widespread adoption of gunpowder rendered knights and their armor powerless, signifying the decline of the feudal system. Amid this backdrop of change, Copernicus emerged as a visionary, his mathematical calculations eventually proving that the Earth was not the center of the universe.

While we may look back on our geocentric ancestors and marvel at their supposed ignorance, we must acknowledge that most of us are quite incapable of proving the heliocentrism ourselves. We generally accept the current belief. If that is true, mustn't there be obvious things we could be missing today? What if our assumptions about money, the lifeblood of economies, are flawed as well and the study of economics is still in its infantile stage? Perhaps, just as Copernicus shattered the prevailing astronomical narrative, we are on the cusp of an intellectual revolution that will expose the shortcomings of contemporary monetary belief.

It is here, amid these profound reflections, that Copernicus' hidden expertise in monetary matters resurfaces. Unbeknownst to many, this visionary mind not only revolutionized our understanding of the heavens but also made lasting contributions to the field of monetary thought.

To send a thank you not or not to send a thank you note

That is the question, my friends

And it seems like folks are pretty divided on this one!

A woman named Julia posted a video on TikTok where she said that sending a thank you note after a job interview is a good idea and just might help you land a job.

Uncovered Diaries Reveal Johnny Cash Was Initially Planning to Cover Closer "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Recently discovered diaries from the late country music legend Johnny Cash show he was first hoping to record a rendition of Nine Inch Nails provocative single Closer instead of Hurt, sources confirmed.

This is a truly stunning development, said Johnny Cash Museum representative Tasha Elridge about the diaries, which have been authenticated and were donated anonymously by a relative of Cash. While Johnnys rendition of Hurt stands as one of his greatest achievements in a career full of them, this chapter in his story has now been forever the song arguably best known for the I wanna fuck you like an animal line. In fact, Hurt to appeared to be his fourth choice after Head Like a Hole and March of the Pigs. Almost like he never even wanted to cover Hurt in the first place.

Further confirmation regarding the validity of the diary entries, dated between May and August 1997, was given by Nine Inch Nails founding member Trent Reznor.

I thought itd be best to keep this to myself. But now the cats out of the bag, said Reznor. Johnny reached out to me about how hed been working little for it over the phone when we were on the Fragility tour. Even over the crackly landline static, you could tell it was something special. And he understood that just because its a song that references sex, that doesnt make it a sex song. I really wish we couldve gotten a proper version. Instead, Maroon 5 covered it, which made me regret ever writing it.

Though Cashs cover of Closer remains unrealized and unrecorded, many have offered speculation about it and the impact it would presumably have.

Based on available data we have regarding Johnny Cash covers of Nine Inch Nails songs we can safely assume that his take on Closer would be fraught with the same end-of-life solemnity as Hurt. Though perhaps not, said associate Pitchfork editor Adam Balsewicz. After all, he did that little known cover of Baha Mens Who Let the Dogs Out that was even more rowdy than the original just before he passed. That man was a total enigma.

At press time, the subsequent discovery of S&M clothing and paraphernalia by Cashs estate indicated he was also planning to recreate the songs video.

Opinion: As an Audio Mastering Engineer, I Also Have No Idea What I Do "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

I hear from musicians all the time that mastering feels like a black box. You send in your audio files and they come back sounding better. You cant really put a finger on it. It just sounds better somehow. And you have no idea what the engineer did. Well, as an audio mastering engineer, I can let you in on a little secret: I also have no idea what Im doing.

Dont get me wrong, I know Im making it sound better. When you send me your mixes they sound like absolute shit and when Im down with them they sparkle. But how that happens is anyones guess. I turn a few knobs and push a few buttons and at first it sounds even worse. But then I push the other buttons and turn the knobs in the other direction and goddamn if you dont sound like an orgy of Stradivariuses.

But what do those knobs and buttons do? Beats me. Ive spent years trying to figure it out and none of it makes any sense. Like, if it was just changing the EQ or something I would get it. But this one here makes the music sound bigger. Not louder. Bigger. That doesnt make any goddamn sense, but its the only word that describes what happens.

Also, do any of you know what punchy means? I make music punchier all the time, but I can only do it by accident.

At this point, you may be thinking that if I dont know what Im doing then your band can just do it on your own. Go ahead, be my guest. Watch as you take that precious album that took years to write and record and turn it into a garbled, clipping mess. And then when youre done crying you can crawl right back to me.

Sometimes it feels weird getting paid to do something I dont actually understand. But at the end of the day, the only thing people want out of mastering is to make the music louder anyways. So if you want to pay me to turn the volume up on your recordings and send it back to you, who am I to say no?

Guest Invited to Help Himself to Fridge Containing Hot Sauce and Four Lokos "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

HOBOKEN, N.J. Local host Dave Pendleton told guest and longtime friend Jeremy Adler to just help himself to anything in the fridge despite only having two bottles of hot sauce with the lids crusted over and a six-pack of Four Lokos, starving sources confirmed.

I just like to be hospitable. If youre in my house, you make yourself at home. Mi casa, su pasta. I learned that from one of the bottles of hot sauce, said Pendleton. I did consider for a secondmaybe a millisecondmaking a grocery store run before people started showing up, but then I realized that would just create this weird power imbalance, and Im not about that. I mean, what am I, your personal chef? As my guest, you should be the one stocking my fridge. Thats common knowledge.

Despite Pendletons long-standing philosophy, Adler couldnt help but feel a little disappointed when discovered the limited options in the fridge.

I mean, Im all for a casual hang at Daves place, justified Adler. Im no spoiled princess bitch, I dont need a five-course meal, nothing like that. But Im starting to get worried that Dave doesnt eat at all. The last time I was here, he said I could help myself but the only things in his fridge were a half-drank Big Gulp from 7-Eleven, an empty jar of pickles, and a box of baking soda that somehow expired three years ago. We need to start hanging out at a Taco Bell or something.

Etiquette Coach Linda Tottenham confirmed the trend of apathetic hosting.

Some modern hosts prefer not to put in any effort at all when having people over, said Tottenham. Putting in effort for your guests can generally be seen as stiff, uptight, and in some cases, be a sign of weakness. What I always recommend is for guests to bring their own food and beverages. But when its time to leave, sneak whatever you havent finished out with you. Thatll show them. With parties and get-togethers, its best to seek revenge where possible.

At press time, Pendleton told Adler to put on anything he wants on TV, despite only having an antenna that gets four channels.

Barbie Backlash: Pastor Calls for Holy Judgement Over Alleged LGBT Content "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

As the much-anticipated Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie in the titular role stirred political controversy and was banned in Vietnam for a scene showing a map that seemingly depicted the nine-dash line used by China for its claims on the South China Sea, the Greta Gerwig-directed film found itself in another scandal, this time a religious one after an American pastor called for holy judgment over its LGBTQIA+ content.

In a video shared on social media, Tennessee-based pastor Kent Christmas spoke out against the upcoming fantasy comedy film in a recent sermon.

I curse in the name of the Lord this new Barbie movie that has been released full of transsexual, and transgender, and homosexuality, Christmas said during the sermon before calling on God to make a holy judgment on the movie.

While the movie is highly anticipated, much of its plot remains unclear, and it is yet to be known if the film would actually show LGBTQIA+ themes, as Christmas claimed.

Christmas has been a pastor for more than 50 years, and he founded the Regeneration Nashville along with his wife, Candy Christmas, in Nashville, Tennessee. He has extensively traveled across the United States and abroad for his sermons. The website for his church described him as a man of prayer that carries an anointing to preach the word with the demonstration of apostolic power with a passion to strengthen the local church body and to share prophetic insight.

The website for Regeneration Nashville also said that at their church, they believe the Bible is Gods Word, that they b...

Iranian University Ban: Women's Stand Against Mandatory Hijab "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Female university students were barred from universities in Iran after refusing to follow the countrys mandatory hijab laws. This resulted in sham disciplinary hearings, class suspensions, and threats of being given zero grades.

Around 60 female university students have already been suspended and barred from their universities for refusing to obey the Islamic Republics mandatory hijab laws and supporting the ongoing revolution that sparked after the death of Mahsa Amini in 2022.

Videos circulated on social media showed disciplinary committees and pro-government civilians harassing women and girls in streets, university campuses, and subway stations. Female university students defied this harassment by uploading clips of themselves not wearing a headscarf on social media.

Arrests and imprisonment of young women continuously rise in Iran. Many have been warned of serious consequences if they fail to adhere to the countrys mandatory hijab law. Many female university students have also suffered due to their defiance of the Islamic Republic and its suppression of the revolution.

Were being mass banned from the campus for refusing to wear a hijab, and in the past few days, there has been a violent crackdown on us for peacefully sitting in protest, a female university student said, adding that Iranian security officials violently threw us out of the classrooms.

The student also said university professors who supported them and the revolution were attacked and subsequently banned from campus. The students councils of different universities across Iran estimate that around 40 female university students were conditionally suspended for failing to fully observ...

Drag Queen Rocks Religion: Provocative Performance Shocks the Philippines "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

A Filipina drag performer stirred controversy after a viral performance at a local bar where she dressed up as Jesus Christ and worship song, sparking a heated debate on where to draw the line between expression and mockery, especially in a country like the Philippines, where around 79% of the population identify as Catholic.

A 39-second clip of Pura Luka Vegas performance went viral on Filipino social media, where she was seen dressed as Jesus Christ while performing in front of a crowd holding their smartphones to capture the event. Her worship song Ama Namin (translates to Our Father in Filipino), which the crowd danced and partied to while watching her perform.

The video was uploaded on July 10th on Vegas Twitter account, with the caption, Thank you for coming to church! She uploaded the clip in response to a Tweet from a follower who praised her drag performance on that day with a photo of Jesus Christs sculpture seated in front of a mixing station. While the Tweet Vega replied to was deleted, her video amassed 1,144 retweets, and 9,010 likes as of July 13.

Devout Catholics and Filipino netizens quickly condemned Vegas drag performance, describing it as blasphemous and disrespectful to the Catholic church. They also said the act would reflect poorly on the countrys drag community and the LGBTQIA+ community, which continues to suffe...

Quran Burning Sparks Global Response: UN Makes Shocking Move "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

In response to the most recent Quran-burning incident in Sweden, where an Iraqi immigrant burned the religious book in front of a mosque in Stockholm last June, the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) adopted a resolution on July 12th on religious hatred, condemning the acts of burning the Islamic holy book in Sweden.

Introduced by Pakistan on behalf of the 57-member Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the resolution urged the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to draft a report on religious hatred and called on countries to review their laws and close legal loopholes that may "impede the prevention and prosecution of acts and advocacy of religious hatred."

The resolution was highly divisive since several states, primarily Western countries, decided not to back the proposal due to fears that it might infringe on freedom of speech and expression. Still, that did not prevent the human rights body from adopting the resolution. Among the councils 47 members, 28 voted in favor of the resolution, 12 voted against it, and 7 chose to abstain.

Several countries that voted to adopt the resolution included Muslim-majority countries, such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia. The 12 countries that voted against it included the United States, the United Kingdom, and members of the European Uni...

The Hijab Ban That's Shaking French Soccer "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

France's highest administrative court ruled on June 29th that the countrys soccer federation has the right to ban players from wearing headscarves during matches, even if the action means limiting their freedom of expression.

The Council of State made this decision after a group of soccer players that wear religious headscarves, called Les Hijabeuses in French, referring to the hijab or religious headscarf in Islam, launched a campaign against the French Football Federation (FFF) and took legal action against their ban.

The court said that sports federations in France may impose on their players an obligation to wear neutral clothing during sporting competitions and events, in order to guarantee the smooth running of matches and prevent clashes or confrontation. It considers that the ban imposed by the FFF is appropriate and proportionate.

The ruling sparked a new debate on the principle of lacit in France, which is upheld by many French laws, such as Article 1 of the French Constitution and the 1905 French law on the Separation of the Churches and State. This principle is commonly interpreted as discouraging the participation of religion in government affairs and vice versa.

This principle was not only applied in sports but also in applying for French citizenship, when an Algerian woman was denied naturalization in 2018 after refusing to shake the hand of a senior French official, using her "religious beliefs" as justification.

The French Football Federation currently prohibits players from wearing headscarves and other religious symbols during official matches and in competitions it organizes. This ban does not follow recommendations from the global soccer governing body FIFA, which allows players to wear headscarves during international matches.

In response to the ruling, the French Foot...

AITA for reminding my parents that Nothing is free when you are an adult, life costs money?

When I was growing up that was my parents mantra. That when I was an adult I was responsible for myself.

I started working when I was 15 and I attended a state college that I received a scholarship from. I graduated with only $7,500 debt and my job out of university came with a recruitment bonus that paid that off.

My brother didnt get the same talk. Our parents bought him a car when he was 16. He is smart and was accepted to a prestigious university. But no scholarship. And my parents earn enough that he does not qualify for financial aid.

I make a good living now and my parents and brother want me to help him out. The thing is he has a scholarship to a state school. He could just not go to an Ivy. But thats not good enough for them.

I reminded them what they always told me. They are mad that Im not willing to sacrifice my life to help another adult.

Senator Ted Cruz has raised concerns about the discovery of a bag of cocaine in the White House corridors. Cruz questions the administrations silence and calls for transparency. He emphasizes the need to identify the person responsible, given the strict security measures in place. Cruz also suggests potential media bias by comparing how the incident would have been covered during the Trump era. The existence of records, security cameras, and Secret Service agents within the White House raises questions about the handling of the situation. This controversy highlights the importance of accountability and unbiased journalism. It serves as a reminder of the delicate balance between politics and the rule of law.

A poll conducted by Intelligent.com has exposed the aftermath of the failed student loan forgiveness plan proposed by President Joe Biden. Shockingly, the survey discovered that nearly one-third of Americans burdened with student loans had indulged in unanticipated spending, fueled by the hope of loan forgiveness. Their misplaced confidence was shattered when the Supreme Court struck down the plan last month. The poll revealed that borrowers had channeled the extra funds towards vacations, retail purchases, and even towards drugs, alcohol, and gambling. The poll also provided insights into the spending habits, with retail items being the most popular expenditure. The thwarted relief has left over half the borrowers feeling financially unprepared, with repayments set to resume soon. The Supreme Courts decision clarified that the proposed relief did not have the necessary authority.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omars decision to boycott Israeli President Isaac Herzogs speech in the U.S. Congress has sparked intense debate. Omar initially expressed her vehement opposition to attending the address, later revealing she was unaware of his visit. Critics question the strong reaction given Herzogs ceremonial role and suggest it may not typically provoke such responses. Rabbi Yaakov Menken criticized Omar, raising concerns about alleged racism within the Democratic Party. This controversy comes amidst allegations of Omars anti-Semitic rhetoric and a vote by the House of Representatives to remove her from the House Foreign Affairs Committee. House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy highlighted the seriousness of Omars statements and her failure to express remorse. As we approach Herzogs address, the uproar surrounding Omars protest reflects the contentious Israeli-U.S. relationship and raises questions about democratic values, free speech, and the intersection of prejudice and policy.

Stablecoin TrueUSD To Be Fully Controlled By Asian Owner "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In todays news, the prominent stablecoin TrueUSD with the ticker TUSD is now undergoing a management change.  According to a thread this morning by the projects official Twitter handle, Archblock Inc., the current TUSD operator, has begun the transfer of total control of Token to its Asian-based owners, Techteryx Ltd.

Techteryx Finally Assumes Control Of TrueUSD

Back in December 2020, Techteryx acquired ownership of TUSD but hired Archblock to keep maintaining the stablecoins operations. And for the last two years in which Archblock remained TUSDs operator, Techteryx claims to have been focusing on expanding the tokens foreign use cases in the global markets.

However, Archblock has now commenced the transfer of control yesterday, July 13, marking the end phase of TUSDs international transition. Upon completion, Techteryx will reportedly assume full management of all aspects of the stablecoins operation.

These controls will include mining and redemptions, customer onboarding and compliance, conservation of fiat reserve, and maintenance of banking and fiduciary relationships.

During the transition period, Archblock will continue to support the US-based TUSD users, with Techteryx stepping in with the necessary guidance and further updates.

Prior to todays news, TUSD has attracted some interest especially following Binances recent moves with the stablecoin. On June 21, the cryptocurrency exchange announced the launch of a TUSD zero-maker fee promotion for spot and margin trading pairs beginning from June 30.

Interestingly, Binance had minted $1 billion worth of TUSD on the Tron network a week before making that announcement becoming the largest holder of the token.

She Asked Her Husband What Did He Expect After Their Daughter Asked a Question. Is She a Jerk? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

AITAWhatDidYouExpect She Asked Her Husband What Did He Expect After Their Daughter Asked a Question. Is She a Jerk?

This situation really does not sound good.

AT ALL.

And now its up to you to decide if you think this woman acted like an a**hole toward her husband.

Read on to get all the details!

AITA for asking my husband what did he expect after our daughter (3F) asked him when he was going home?

My husband travels for work and regularly works long hours so our children dont see him every day and they go weeks without seeing him in person sometimes. We had a fight over it recently so hes been home a lot more.

Our daughter asked him yesterday when he was going home. Shes 3 and shes convinced herself that he doesnt live with us and he only visits sometimes because he isnt here everyday like I am.

My husband was upset, especially since he couldnt convince her he really did live here, and he brought it up before we went to bed because he felt I shouldve done more to make her realise he did live here and he couldnt always be home because he was working.

I asked him what did he expect and he said I was kicking him while he was already down. Hes also blaming me partly for the situation because Im the reason we dont live in the same city as their HQ and hes been angry with me all day.

AITA?

And heres what people had to say on Reddit.

Berberine is a potential alternative for metformin with good regulatory effect on lipids in treating metabolic diseases. "IndyWatch Feed Health"

PMID:  Biomed Pharmacother. 2023 Jul ;163:114754. Epub 2023 Apr 23. PMID: 37094549 Abstract Title:  Berberine is a potential alternative for metformin with good regulatory effect on lipids in treating metabolic diseases. Abstract:  Metformin (MTF) and berberine (BBR) share several therapeutic benefits in treating metabolic-related disorders. However, as the two agents have very different chemical structure and bioavailability in oral route, the goal of this study is to learn their characteristics in treating metabolic disorders. The therapeutic efficacy of BBR and MTF was systemically investigated in the high fat diet feeding hamsters and/or ApoEmice; in parallel, gut microbiota related mechanisms were studied for both agents. We discovered that, although both two drugs had almost identical effects on reducing fatty liver, inflammation and atherosclerosis, BBR appeared to be superior over MTF in alleviating hyperlipidemia and obesity, but MTF was more effective than BBR for the control of blood glucose. Association analysis revealed that the modulation of intestinal microenvironment played a crucial role in the pharmacodynamics of both drugs, in which their respective superiority on the regulation of gut microbiota composition and intestinal bile acids might contribute to their own merits on lowering glucose or lipids. This study shows that BBR may be a good alternative for MTF in treating diabetic patients, especially for those complicated with dyslipidemia and obesity.

Berberine is a potential therapeutic agent for sepsis. "IndyWatch Feed Health"

PMID:  Drug Des Devel Ther. 2023 ;17:1139-1151. Epub 2023 Apr 13. PMID: 37077411 Abstract Title:  Berberine Alleviates Acute Lung Injury in Septic Mice by Modulating Treg/Th17 Homeostasis and Downregulating NF-B Signaling. Abstract:  PURPOSE: A common complication of sepsis is acute lung injury (ALI), which is associated with an acute onset, rapid disease changes, and high mortality. Regulatory T (Treg) and T helper 17 (Th17) cells comprise CD4T cell subsets, which strongly influence inflammation during ALI. In this study, we investigated the effect of berberine (BBR), an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory drug, on the inflammatory response and immune state in mice with sepsis.METHODS: A mouse model of cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) was established. The mice were intragastrically administered 50 mg/kg BBR. We used histological techniques to evaluate inflammatory tissue injury and flow cytometry for analyzing Treg/Th17 levels. We also assessed NF-B signaling pathways by Western blotting assays and immunofluorescence staining. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was performed to measure the content of cytokines.RESULTS: Treatment with BBR considerably mitigated lung injury while improving survival, post-cecal ligation, and puncture (CLP). Treatment with BBR ameliorated pulmonary edema and hypoxemia in septic mice and inhibited the NF-B signaling pathway. BBR also increased Treg cells and decreased Th17 proportions in the spleen and lung tissue of CLP-treated mice. Blocking Treg cells weakened the protective effect of BBR on sepsis-associated lung injury.CONCLUSION: Overall, these results suggested that BBR is a potential therapeutic agent for sepsis.

Long-term use of Lacticaseibacillus paracasei N1115 from early life alleviates high-fat-diet-induced obesity and dysmetabolism in mice. "IndyWatch Feed Health"

PMID:  Benef Microbes. 2022 Nov 16 ;13(5):407-416. Epub 2022 Oct 14. PMID: 36239668 Abstract Title:  Long-term use ofN1115 from early life alleviates high-fat-diet-induced obesity and dysmetabolism in mice. Abstract:  Obesity has become one of the most serious public health problems worldwide, and an increasing number of studies indicate that the gut microbiota can affect host metabolism. Therefore, the present study was conducted to evaluate whether long-term use of probiotics can alleviate host obesity and metabolism by altering gut microbiota. The high-fat diet (HFD) starting from weaned period led to higher levels of visceral fat and a significantly heavier liver in male mice. Moreover, HFD resulted in disorders of glucose and lipid metabolism, changes in insulin-resistance indices (IR), and an increase in serum insulin and leptin in mice. Of note, 15 weeks use ofN1115 decreased visceral fat, liver weight, serum levels of insulin and leptin, and IR and alleviated lipid dysmetabolism. HFD resulted in a significant increase in the relative abundance of,, andand may decrease the faecal short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) levels in mice; in turn, treatment with the potential probiotic strainN1115 protected mice from these negative effects. HFD significant impaired the physiology of the host especially in male mice and dramatically changed the composition of host gut microbiota. However, the use of potential probiotic strain, such asN1115, may prevent these impairments due to HFD via effecting the host gut microbiota and SCFA.

Lactobacillus paracasei IMC 502 ameliorates type 2 diabetes. "IndyWatch Feed Health"

PMID:  J Sci Food Agric. 2023 Apr ;103(6):2949-2959. Epub 2022 Nov 1. PMID: 36221226 Abstract Title:  Lactobacillus paracasei IMC 502 ameliorates type 2 diabetes by mediating gut microbiota-SCFA-hormone/inflammation pathway in mice. Abstract:  BACKGROUND: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a complex and prevalent metabolic disease that seriously threatens human health. Numerous studies have shown that probiotics as dietary supplements have the potential to prevent and treat T2DM. However, the ability of various strains to improve diabetes symptoms and corresponding mechanisms are different. Thus, mechanistic investigation is required to validate the pharmacology of each probiotic strain for T2DM treatment. Lactobacillus paracasei IMC 502 was originally isolated from Italian elderly human feces and its probiotic attributes have been demonstrated. Here, the antidiabetic pharmacodynamics of L. paracasei IMC 502 on T2DM mice was explored.RESULTS: Lactobacillus paracasei IMC 502 significantly decreased blood glucose, HbA1c and lipid levels, improved insulin resistance and glucose intolerance, regulated the mRNA/protein expression of key hepatic enzymes associated with gluconeogenesis, de novo lipogenesis and PI3K/Akt pathway, and repaired pancreatic and hepatic tissue damage. This probiotic conferred beneficial outcomes in the gut microbiome of diabetic mice, which induced transformation of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) and further enhanced the secretion of downstream hormones, and ultimately ameliorated the inflammatory response.CONCLUSION: Lactobacillus paracasei IMC 502 prevents and alleviates T2DM by mediating the gut microbiota-SCFA-hormone/inflammation pathway.2022 Society of Chemical Industry.

Fermented vegetables and legumes vs. lifestyle diseases: microbiota and more. "IndyWatch Feed Health"

PMID:  Life (Basel). 2023 Apr 19 ;13(4). Epub 2023 Apr 19. PMID: 37109573 Abstract Title:  Fermented Vegetables and Legumes vs. Lifestyle Diseases: Microbiota and More. Abstract:  Silages may be preventive against lifestyle diseases, including obesity, diabetes mellitus, or metabolic syndrome. Fermented vegetables and legumes are characterized by pleiotropic health effects, such as probiotic or antioxidant potential. That is mainly due to the fermentation process. Despite the low viability of microorganisms in the gastrointestinal tract, their probiotic potential was confirmed. The modification of microbiota diversity caused by these food products has numerous implications. Most of them are connected to changes in the production of metabolites by bacteria, such as butyrate. Moreover, intake of fermented vegetables and legumes influences epigenetic changes, which lead to inhibition of lipogenesis and decreased appetite. Lifestyle diseases' feature is increased inflammation; thus, foods with high antioxidant potential are recommended. Silages are characterized by having a higher bioavailable antioxidants content than fresh samples. That is due to fermentative microorganisms that produce the enzyme-glucosidase, which releases these compounds from conjugated bonds with antinutrients. However, fermented vegetables and legumes are rich in salt or salt substitutes, such as potassium chloride. However, until today, silages intake has not been connected to the prevalence of hypertension or kidney failure.

Strategies to Optimize Mitochondrial Health in Long COVID "IndyWatch Feed Health"

The video above features a recent lecture I gave to the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM) on how to optimize your mitochondrial health and function.

Mitochondrial dysfunction is at the root of most all chronic diseases, and it also plays a crucial role in conditions such as long COVID, which is becoming quite common. Its also a root factor that must be addressed in COVID jab injuries, regardless of symptoms or severity.

Features of the post-jab injuries we see point to severe mitochondrial dysfunction, which in turn causes energy failure. The same goes for long COVID in people who struggle with unrelenting fatigue and other symptoms for months after theyve recovered from COVID-19 infection.

If you can improve your mitochondrial function and restore energy supply to your cells, youre going to massively increase your odds of reversing the problems caused by the jab or the virus.

US Life Expectancy Falls in Historic Decline

Allopathic medicine has been a leading cause of death in the U.S. for over two decades. In 1998, researchers concluded that properly prescribed and correctly taken pharmaceutical drugs were the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S.

Two years later, in 2000, Dr. Barbara Starfield published her groundbreaking paper, "Is US Health Really the Best in the World?"1 in which she provided data showing that medical errors by doctors were the third leading cause of death. Little has changed since then.

In 2016, Johns Hopkins patient safety experts calculated that more than 250,000 patients died each year from medical errors, again pegging it as the third leading cause of death.2

In July 2022, the National Institutes of Health concluded the annual death toll from medical errors could be as high as 440,000 and possibly even more because of lack of reporting making it, still, the third leading cause of death.3

In future years, I believe the medical intervention sold as "COVID vaccines" will prove to be the No. 1 killer of Americans, and were already seeing that trend. Something extraordinarily odd happened in 2020 and 2021, something that shaved nearly three years off the life expectancy in the U.S.4

Even a tenth or two-tenths of a year mean decline in life expectancy on a population level is a big deal, as it means a lot more people are dying prematurely than they really should be. A three-year drop is simply unheard of.

While media blame thi...

Launch of a New Doorway to Freedom "IndyWatch Feed Health"

In this video, I interview repeat guest Dr. Meryl Nass, who has a monthly podcast with journalist James Corbett on Children's Health Defense (CHD) TV. Their show is focused on the implementation of the World Health Organizations efforts to install global tyranny with respect to health and global governance.

The implications for public health are enormous and extremely troubling. The WHO is basically laying the foundation to take control over all aspects of everyones lives, across the world, under the auspice of biosecurity.

In this interview, Nass explains how the WHO is being set up as a central governing body for the world, and what we can do to stop it. She also details the price shes paid for taking a stand against the false COVID narrative and offering early treatment.

Sacrificial Lamb

Nass was one of the doctors who, during the COVID pandemic, offered patients early treatment in Maine and Maryland. As a result, her medical license was suspended and the medical board forced her to undergo psychiatric evaluation. Apparently, in the present era, doctors who think saving lives is more important than following unscientific medical advice created by bureaucrats is considered insanity. She comments:

This whole pandemic, and the takeover of the world by elites, (global cabal) has been orchestrated primarily through fear, and one thing that's necessary is to make doctors cooperate. To do that, the best way is to scare them, and the best way to scare them is to threaten their medical licenses ...

In July and August of 2021, there were national news reports of several doctors who were prescribing ivermectin and [who] were being investigated, but none of them actually lost their licenses.

Apparently, this was not enough to stop doctors from prescribing ivermectin, and in states where it was allowed, hydroxychloroquine. These are both licensed drugs and the federal government had no legal authority to take them off the menu.

Licensed doctors could prescribe licensed drugs, as could nurse practitioners, PAs [physicians assistants], et cetera. Neither one had a black box warning, neither one was a controlled substance. They were both safe, and they both had been used for a number of decades.

So, instead, it had to be done through the states because states regulate medical practice in the U.S., and pharmacy practice so, about 30 states issu...

Beat Fatigue and Heal Your Body Through Optimum Hydration "IndyWatch Feed Health"

Editor's Note: This article is a reprint. It was originally published August 26, 2018.

Dr. Dana Cohen has been an internist (a doctor of internal medicine) for the past 20 years, with a focus on integrative or functional medicine. She had the distinction of working with low-carb pioneer Dr. Robert Atkins right out of residency, which completely changed her way of thinking about medicine.

In this interview, we discuss the importance of hydration, the topic of her book, "Quench: Beat Fatigue, Drop Weight, and Heal Your Body Through the New Science of Optimum Hydration."

"I have been searching for my book for 20 years," she says. "My coauthor, Gina Bria, came in to see me one day. She started the Hydration Foundation. She's a cultural anthropologist. She did her research on how desert communities hydrate. They certainly don't drink eight glasses of water a day!

She blew my mind. She started to tell me about the work [professor of bioengineering] Gerald Pollack was doing on the fourth phase of water and how desert communities hydrate. They hydrate via gel. Even desert plants, that's how they hydrate.

We had so much in common. Her mother was in a nursing home, suffering from dehydration. My mother was in a nursing home with Alzheimer's. I looked at her and said, 'Do you want to write this book?'

I know, as a clinician, this is something that all of my patients can benefit from from my athletes to my really sick patients. I think it affects everybody. We're not talking about overdehydration, where you need intravenous fluids.

We're talking about this low-grade, subclinical dehydration that affects almost all of us at some point, almost every day. That was three and a half years ago. We dove into the research and came up with 'Quench.'"

The Importance of Structured Water

A key component of proper hydration is getting the water into the cell. This is an area where understanding Pollack's fourth phase of water becomes key. We've always known water exists as liquid, ice and vapor. But there's also a gel phase, known as structured water. A more technical term is exclusion zone (EZ) water. This is the kind of water found inside your body's cells.

"It also happens to be the phase of water that's in plants and found in nature," Cohen says. By getting more of this gel-like water into your body, you're able to hydrate better overall. In this gel phase, water also holds energy, l...

A high intake of fruit and vegetables combined, and total fruit was associated with reduced risk of hypertension. "IndyWatch Feed Health"

PMID:  Eur J Nutr. 2023 Apr 27. Epub 2023 Apr 27. PMID: 37106252 Abstract Title:  Fruit and vegetable consumption and the risk of hypertension: a systematic review and meta-analysis of prospective studies. Abstract:  PURPOSE: A high fruit and vegetable intake has been associated with reduced risk of hypertension; however, results have been inconsistent and it is unclear whether specific types of fruits and vegetables are particularly beneficial. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to summarize the published prospective studies on fruit and vegetable consumption and risk of hypertension.METHODS: Embase and PubMed databases were searched for relevant prospective studies up to 15th May 2022. Random effects models were used to calculate summary relative risks (RRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for the association between fruit and vegetable intake and risk of hypertension. Strength of evidence was assessed using World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) criteria.RESULTS: Eighteen prospective studies (451 291 participants, 145 492 cases) were included. The summary RR (95% CI) of hypertension per 200 g/day was 0.97 (0.95-0.99, I=68%, n=8) for fruits and vegetables, 0.93 (0.89-0.98, I=77%, n=10) for fruits, and 1.00 (0.98-1.02, I=38%, n=10) for vegetables. Reductions in risk were observed up to 800 g/day for fruits and vegetables, and 550 g/day for fruits, and these two associations were considered probably causal using WCRF criteria. Inverse associations were observed for apples or pears, blueberries, raisins or grapes, avocado, broccoli, carrots and lettuce, while positive associations were observed for cantaloupe, Brussels sprouts, cruciferous vegetables, and total and fried potatoes (n=2-5).CONCLUSION: A high intake of fruit and vegetables combined, and total fruit was associated with reduced risk of hypertension, while results for fruit and vegetable subtypes were mixed and need further study.

PMID: 37087207 Abstract Title:  Effects of dragon fruit oligosaccharides on immunity, gut microbiome, and their metabolites in healthy adults - A randomized double-blind placebo controlled study. Abstract:  Healthy food has wide popularity and relates positively to health. Our previous studies have shown that dragon fruit oligosaccharides (DFO) have prebiotic activities, balancing the gut microbiota in a simulated human colon system, and are safe and stimulate the immune system in rats. The effects of DFO on immune stimulation gut microbe modulation and the correlation of gut microbiota and nutrients were investigated in a human trial. This clinical study was a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial. The participants were 107 healthy adults, divided into 3 groups that received DFO in drinking waterdoses of 4 and 8 g/day, compared to the placebo group for 4 consecutive weeks. DFO consumption at 4 g/day increased IgA level (11.31 mg/dL or 10.95% from baseline) and 8 g/day outstandingly promoted the growth of Bifidobacterium spp. (8.41%) and Faecalibacterium (1.99%) and decreased harmful bacteria, especially, Escherichia coli (8.44%). The relationship between gut microbes and nutrient intake was explored and significant (p

Whale Vomit "IndyWatch Feed Health"

Ambergris

By Cathy Jameson

My husband and I have had a running joke for years.  Anytime I suggest he use a natural remedy, like homeopathic drops or an essential oil for an ache or a pain, he says, "No thanks.  I'll pass.  I don't need any whale vomit."  I reply, "Fine.  More for me."

Then we laugh and laugh.

Whale vomit.  Im not sure when we started saying that since its something weve never used.  I dont think its something people actually use anyway.  I do remember, though, when I started to hear more about using natural products for ailments.  That was many years ago while scouring Yahoo! message boards.  I remember being inspired by other parents who used natural products to help their children detox.  I wanted to have a success story for my son, too, so I eagerly kept reading their stories.  Back then, we didnt know why my sons behavior, demeanor and health took a turn for the worse.  Before going down the medical route, I resorted to trying something simple.  First, I made changes to his diet.  Then, I opted to use some supplements that another parent suggested.  The first ones I remember ordering were digestive enzymes.  After seeing a pretty quick response, I thought Id read more to see if other ones could help.

From basic over-the-counter ones, like vitamin D3 to ones that have to be special ordered, supplements remain part of life here.

Over the years, protocols have changed.  We rotate through some things faster than others.  Other bottles stay in the supplement basket on the kitchen counter unopened for weeks, sometimes months, at a time.  Lately, Ive been focused on alleviating my sons constipation that returned.  When that happens, we look at several factors, like what hes eating and how hydrated he is (or isnt).   Some days, when it becomes apparent that we need to encourage some movement, its back to basics prune juice, senna, and a stool softener.  Fortunately, as things soon begin to get moving for him again, life goes a bit back to normal.  I was glad for that, especially last week.  Around the same time as things settled down for Ronan, I found that I needed to take care of something myself.

Ive felt some discomfort in my shoulder that hasnt gotten any better with basic homeopathic treatment....

When you get all those different personalities together, theres bound to be ugliness.

So is this parent wrong for putting conditions on a family vacation with their kids?

Check out their story below and see what you think.

AITA for putting conditions on a family vacation?

I planned a family vacation with my 7, 9 and 18yo sons to Bora Bora for 13 days in June.

My 18 yo asked of he could bring his girlfriend of a year Danielle and he was surprised that I said yes. Of course he asked after finding out he would end up with his own detached room. Theyre both graduating high school in a couple of weeks too.

I dont mind spending most of my time with the 7yo and 10yo boys. I wouldnt mind having some me time though. Im sharing a lot of space with them including a bed.

I told my 18yo that Im expecting him and his girlfriend to do some babysitting on the trip seeing that Im paying for her to go. Its not going to be all Baywatch for them. My 18yo is angry for me even asking.

I said Id be cleaning the floors if I was 18 and was allowed to bring my girlfriend to paradise for two weeks. Danielle is fine with it but my son is not.

This convenience can be especially valuable when quick access to essentials is necessary.

Secondly, paracord lanyards are known for their strength and durability. Paracord is a robust cordage with multiple inner strands, making it highly reliable in various conditions. It ensures the lanyard remains intact even in demanding environments or when subjected to tension or strain.

The versatility of paracord is a significant advantage. In emergencies, the paracord used in a lanyard can be unraveled and utilized for various survival needs, such as constructing shelters, creating fishing lines, or securing gear. This adaptability adds a layer of preparedness and utility to the lanyard, making it a valuable tool in unexpected circumstances.

Globe Knot Lanyard

The Globe Knot Paracord Lanyard is a unique and eye-catching variation of the traditional paracord lanyard, featuring a decorative knot known as the Globe Knot. This knot resembles a spherical shape and adds an intricate and visually appealing element to the lanyard

To create a Globe Knot Paracord Lanyard, you begin by weaving or braiding the paracord into the desired length for the lanyard. Then, the Globe Knot is tied at one end of the lanyard. The Globe Knot creates multiple interwoven loops and passes, forming a three-dimensional globe-like structure. This knot enhances the lanyard's aesthetic appeal and adds texture and grip to the handle.

Nobel Physics Laureate 2022 Slams Climate Emergency Narrative as Dangerous Corruption of Science "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

BY CHRIS MORRISON, The co-winner of the 2022 Nobel Physics prize has launched an excoriating attack on the climate emergency narrative, calling it a dangerous corruption of science that threatens the worlds economy and the well-being of billions of people. Dr. John Clauser notes that misguided climate science has metastasised into massive shock-journalistic pseudoscience. Dr. Clauser is one of the worlds leading authorities on quantum mechanics, the study of matter and light at a sub-atomic and atomic level. In 2010 he was awarded the Wolf Prize in Physics, considered the second most prestigious physics award after the Nobel. His comments will help cast further doubt on the obvious falsehood that 99% of scientists believe humans cause all or most climate change. Physicists along with chemists play a dominant role in investigating the science surrounding climate, which at its core focuses on heat exchange and the behaviour of atmospheric gases. In turn, continued Clauser, the climate pseudoscience has become a scapegoat for a wide variety of other unrelated ills. It has been promoted and extended by similarly misguided business marketing agents, politicians, journalists, government agencies and environmentalists. In my opinion, there is no real climate crisis. There is, however, a very real problem with providing a decent standard of living to the worlds largest population and...

Why Ripples Victory Against The SEC May Be Short-Lived: Legal Expert "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The news of Ripples recent partial victory against the SEC after a legal battle spanning almost three years sent a ripple of joy around the entire crypto industry. However, according to a legal expert on Twitter, Lawyer Bryan Jacoutot, the victory might be short-lived as SEC has enough grounds to appeal the decision and drag this thing out for a lot longer.

The SECs Lawsuit Against Ripple Labs

The SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple Labs in December 2020, alleging that Ripple had conducted an unregistered securities offering worth over $1.3 billion through the sale of XRP. According to the SEC, XRP is a security under federal securities laws. But the court determined on June 13 that the random programmatic sale of XRP to regular investors does not constitute the sale of an unregistered security under Howey.

However, sales to institutional investors fall under Howey, which is used in the United States to determine whether a transaction qualifies as an investment contract. In this case, the Court found that the buyers couldnt know who was selling them the XRP, unlike the institutional investors who would expect Ripple Labs to use the capital for the betterment of the Ripple ecosystem.

According to Jacoutot, the Courts reasoning is weak and Howey was misapplied in the case. The Court reasoned that regular investors bought XRP fully knowing that it is subject to the general cryptocurrency market trends, especially secondary sales of XRP tokens. However, Jacoutot believes those buying XRP would have also expected to make a profit from the efforts of Ripple Labs.

The attorney also made a case of the Ethereum Foundation, as everyone who took part in the pre-sale of ETH knew they were buying from Ethereum Foundation. When looking at the XRP ruling in a similar manner, this would mean institutional investors of the ETH presale also bought unregistered securities.

What Does The Ruling Mean?

According to Jacoutot, the ruling opens up a few loopholes that can be exploited. In a tweet by attorney Joe Carlasare on Twitter, it explains that the logic of the ruling leaves an opening that can be used to lawfully launch a pyramid scheme. In this case, profits from the programmatic sales to retail investors can be distributed to institutional investors.

Robert Temple: The Sirius Mystery, Revisited "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

Convincing evidence that the Egyptian, Sumerian, and Dogon civilizations were founded by aliens from the Sirius star system who are now ready to return

Updated with 140 pages of new scientific evidence that solidifies the hypothesis that the KGB, CIA, and NASA attempted to suppress

An awe-inspiring work of research that calls for a profound reappraisal of our role in the universe

Over 10,000 copies sold in its first two months of release in Britain

Publication of The Sirius Mystery in 1976 set the world abuzz with talk of an extraterrestrial origin to human civilization and triggered a 15-year persecution campaign against Robert Temple by the KGB, CIA, NASA, and other government agencies. Undaunted, however, Temple is back, with 140 pages of new scientific evidence that makes his hypothesis more compelling than ever.

Many authors have speculated on the subject of extraterrestrial contact, but never before has such detailed evidence been presented. Temple applies his in-depth knowledge of ancient history, mythology, Pythagorean physics, chaos theory, and Greek, to a close examination of the measurements of the Great Pyramid of Giza, which was built to align directly with the star Sirius. He concludes that the alien civilization of Sirius and our own civilization are part of the same harmonic system, and are destined to function and resonate together. His findings warrant a profound reappraisal of our role in the universe.

Robert Temple is a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, the Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies, the Egyptian Exploration Society, the Royal Historical Society, the Institute of Classical Studies, and the Institute of Historical Research. He is the author of nine books, including Conversations with Eternity and The Genius of China. Most recently he and his wife, Olivia, published The Complete Fables of Aesop to international acclaim. He lives in London.

Far from the Mainstream

This is the first place that has been entirely mine, where every piece of art or display has been chosen because it represents something important to me, something that makes me happy. Trying to see it with another set of eyes feels distancing, like a particularly unpleasant magic trick. I suppose thats fitting.
