DIY Drink Dispenser Stand / Holder "IndyWatch Feed Diy"

drink dispenser stand carrier

Building the Drink Dispenser Stand and Carrier

This drink dispenser stand was super easy to build! First, I cut all my boards using a compound miter saw - but you could also use a circular saw or jigsaw for cuts.

Cutting the Handles

Since this drink dispenser stand flips to become a carrier for the drink dispensers, I wanted handles to help hold it. You could use hardware pulls as well. Here's how I cut my handles out:

cutting handles cutting handles

I first drilled two holes with a spade bit. Then I connected the two holes together with jigsaw cuts.

Building the Drink Dispenser Crate

Once the handles were cut, I can start building. I used brad nails to build - you can also use screws or staples - all work great, just a matter of tool availability and fastener preference. GLUE is essential if using nails or staples.

drink dispenser crate diy

I built two sides identical, with the 1x2 attach on the inside. The 1x2 also works as a support for heavy drinks.

Then I attached the 1x2 for the bottom frame - this is all detailed in the plans below.

drink dispenser diy

With the two sides done, I can now add the front and back pieces - it's starting to take shape!

The bottom pieces fit inside and attach to the 1x2s. Also nail from the out...

Stellar (XLM) Continues Surge As Major Coins Land In The Red "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Stellar (XLM) price has continued to surge as the broader crypto market sees correction. The token surprised market participants with interesting price movements over the past seven days. Stellar leads top-gainers with a 4.19% growth in 24 hours and a 19.55% price gain on the weekly chart.

Stellar Price Outlook

Stellar is a peer-to-peer (P2P) decentralized network launched by the Stellar Development Foundation in 2015. It provides a protocol that connects global financial systems by linking payment providers and financial institutions. Stellar transactions are powered by its native token XLM.

Stellar (XLM) performed well over the past weeks, showing noticeable gains amid dips and rallies in the last seven days. XLM saw a 23.6% price increase over the past 14 days, with a 19.55% seven-day gain in value.

Even more remarkable is the tokens trading volume, which increased by 287.57% within a 24-hour. The change in trading volume over the past week suggests that XLM bulls worked overtime within these few days. XLMs trading volume went from less than $60 million to over $200 million in seven days. As of the time of writing, the tokens trading volume stands at $224 million, according to CoinMarketCap data.

With this bullish signal, XLM overcame the $0.1 critical threshold observed in Pseudonymous crypto trading expert, Nebraskangooners chart pattern analysis on June 27.

Stellars (XLM) price is now changing hands at $09974, trading above the 50-day and 200-day Simple Moving Averages on its TradingView daily chart.

This current trend suggests more bullish moves in the short and long term. Also, its Relative Strength Index at 76 suggests price moves above the overbought region.

It has smashed the crucial resistance and support levels, claiming support at $0.102456 in the first hours of 28 June, and may soon hit $0.105 if the uptrend continues.

Joyful Scenes Emerge From Photographers Playful Perspective of the World "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Joyful Scenes Emerge From Photographers Playful Perspective of the World

Forced Perspective Photography by Hugo Suissas

Lisbon-based photographer Hugo Sussas turns the impossible into reality. Using forced perspective, he juxtaposes household objects and sometimes himself with real-life settings, creating playful images that fool the eye. From the Statue of Liberty getting sprayed with deodorant to a screwdriver that pairs perfectly with a twisty skyscraper, these images are as clever as they are entertaining.

Sussas proves that you don't need a high-end budget for amazing photos, as most of his pictures are made with items that everyone owns. So, once he has found the desired location to take a picture, he will incorporate a smaller prop into the composition. This can be anything from toothpaste or nail clippers to a pair of scissors or a roll of aluminum foil. And while these objects are not extraordinary on their own, Sussas' understanding of forced perspective helps him merge their shapes and functions into the landscape.

In one photo, for instance, he inserts a pencil into a pencil sharpener and the shavings blend into an orange spiral staircase. Another photo features a hand holding an average whisk in front of a few flying birds, creating the illusion that they are trapped inside a birdcage. By using his imagination and the objects he has on hand, the sky is the limit for Sussas' photography.

Check out more of his forced perspective photography below and keep up to date with his latest additions by following Sussas on Instagram.

A Summer Dispatch from the Reviews Poetry Editor "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Detail from the cover art of issue no. 244: Emilie Louise Gossiaux, London with Ribbon, 2022, ballpoint pen on paper.

Theres a thrill of eros to many summer poems. Like in those late-eighties teen moviesDirty DancingSay AnythingOne Crazy Summeryou never know when youll see some skin. And so it goes in our new Summer issue. In Jessica Lasers dreamy, autobiographical remembrance Kings, the poet recalls a drinking game she used to play in high school on the shore of Lake Michigan over summer vacations:

                                     You never knew
whether it would be strip or not, so you always
considered wearing layers. It was summer.
Sometimes youd get pretty naked
but it wasnt pushy. You could take off
one sock at a time.

Is that easygoing, one-sock-at-a-time feeling what defines the summer fling? Maybe thats just how objects appear in the rearview mirror; even the most operatic affairs can seem a little comical in retrospect. In his poem ...

A compassionate and straightforward guide to the spiritual process of death and spirit communication

Answers the most common questions asked by the authors clients over her decades of work as a spirit speaker and psychic medium

Presents simple techniques for helping loved ones cross over and shares practices to honor our beloved dead and connect with ancestral spirits

Shares thought-provoking stories of spirit contact and synchronicities that occurred for those who had a loved one in the dying process

We are all curious about the mystery of death. Whether facing our own, assisting a loved one in their last days, or grieving the loss of someone dear to us, we all have questions about dying and what happens to our soul after we depart physical form.

In this compassionate and straightforward guide to the spiritual process of dying and what happens after death, psychic medium Salicrow answers the most common questions asked by her clients over her decades of work as a spirit speaker. Seeking to normalize the spiritual aspects of end-of-life care, she explains how active dying exists outside of normal reality, in a state in which the dying person and their caregivers often experience a heightened state of consciousness. Describing how the spirit is separate from the body and continues to exist after death, she shares thought-provoking stories of spirit contact and synchronicities that occurred for those actively involved in the dying process. She reveals how these encounters are common and act as guideposts along the journey into death, helping to ease the transition. She offers simple techniques for helping loved ones who are stuck or struggling to cross over and shares practices designed to help honor our beloved dead and develop living relationships with our ancestral spirits.

Presenting an outline of what may be experienced during the dying process and beyond, Salicrow explores the time when a soul is actively dying or recently departed. She explains the multiple ways spirits reach out to communicate with us and provides a deep understanding of the signs, symbols, and sensations that spirits use to contact us as well as ways to strengthen that connection. She also explores challenging situations such as suicide, murder, and healing unresolved issues with the dead.

Crafted through years of spirit communication sessions, this guide details how the spirit world works while revealing the beauty, healing, and love that exist in death.

Salicrow is a natural psychic medium who weaves the traditions of her Irish Traveler and Blackfoot heritage with modern magical techniques. For more than 30 years she has worked as a spirit channel, seer, and intuitive healer, offering readings and teaching workshops throughout the United States and internationally. Astrophotographer Captures Astronauts on a Spacewalk While the ISS Crosses the Sun "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Astrophotographer Captures Astronauts on a Spacewalk While the ISS Crosses the Sun

ISS Transit with Spacewalk by Thierry Legault

French astrophotographer Thierry Legault has been cultivating his skills for many years. And all of those skills came in handy when it came to photographing a recent moment when the International Space Station (ISS) moved across the Sun. Legault's images are particularly intriguing because they also show two astronauts on a spacewalk as they moved to install new solar panels on the ISS.

So how was he able to take clear images of this event, which lasted for less than one second? It all starts with careful planning, as he turned to ISS Transit Finder to see if anything was happening nearby his home in France. Once he confirmed that the transit would occur one hour after the spacewalk started, he knew he had to be there to take a photo.

In the end, he drove six hours from his home in order to find the perfect position. Upon his arrival, Legault scoured the area for an hour before finding a place with a clear view to set up his equipment. This place just happened to be at the edge of a field where his only companions were some cows.

Luckily, the weather was on Legault's side, and he was able to get a clear view of the transit without the interference of clouds. Then, it was just a matter of timing. Since the event occurs so fast, it's impossible to manually trigger the camera at the correct moment. Legault uses a programmable trigger box with a GPS antenna that allows him to start the sequence with precision.

Still, even with good weather and everything set up correctly, there's always a risk that it might not work out. It's moments like this that get Legault's adrenaline pumping, as there's only one chance to get it right. And since the transit happens too fast to see on the camera screen, he never knows the outcome until the end.

I have to remove the camera from the telescope and watch a hundred images one by one to check if the ISS is there, in good position, and sharp, he tells My Modern Met.

Lucky for him (and us), all of his planning paid...

Bitcoin Correlation To Gold, Silver Drops To Cyclical Lows: Glassnode "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Data from Glassnode shows the Bitcoin correlation to Gold and Silver has taken a plunge toward cyclical lows recently.

Bitcoin Correlation With Gold & Silver Has Now Turned Negative

According to data from the on-chain analytics firm Glassnode, the latest price action in BTC has decoupled the cryptocurrency from commodities such as Gold and Silver.

The correlation here is an indicator that tells us how closely Bitcoin has been moving with any particular asset, over a given time period. In the context of the current discussion, the 30-day time period is of interest.

When the value of the correlation is positive, it means that the cryptocurrency is mimicking the movements of the other asset currently. Negative values of the indicator, on the other hand, suggest BTC has been moving in the opposite direction to the commoditys price.

Naturally, the higher the value of the metric (whether on the positive or the negative scale), the stronger the response of Bitcoin to movements in the asset in question.

The correlation can also attain a value of zero during periods where there isnt any discernible pattern between the prices of the two assets (like when one of the assets moves sideways while the other is experiencing some kind of volatility).

Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the Bitcoin 30-day correlation to Gold and Silver over the last few years:

As displayed in the above graph, the Bitcoin 30-day correlation to both Gold and Silver had been high just recently, but with the latest surge in the cryptocurrency, the indicators value has taken a deep hit.

Following this plunge, the metrics value has fallen inside the negative territory for both these assets, with BTCs correlation to XAU (the price of one troy ounce of Gold) hitting -0.78, while that to XAG (one ounce of Silver) going even deeper to -0.90.

In the case of Gold, the correlation between the two assets is now close to the cyclical lows, while for Silver, the indicator has already set a new cyclical low with this plummet.

Bitcoin is currently showing such a highly negative correlation to these commodities because of the fact that their prices have been going down recently, while the cryptocurrency has...

Bitcoin Miners Send 315% Of Daily Revenue To Exchanges Recording High Interaction "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In the fast-paced world of Bitcoin mining, recent unusual activity has caught the attention of cryptocurrency watchers. Particularly, a surge in exchange interactions has been observed, with Bitcoin miners sending a record amount to exchanges.

Prominent on-chain analytics firm, Glassnode, has been at the forefront of tracking these transactions. In a recent tweet, the firm reported that Bitcoin miners have been engaging in a noteworthy level of interaction with exchanges, transferring an all-time high of $128 million worth of Bitcoin.

Exceptional Exchange Activity By Miners

The significant update found in this report is the amount of funds involved. According to Glassnode, the $128 million sent to exchanges by Bitcoin miners represents 315% of their daily revenue.

The on-chain analytics firm tweeted:

Bitcoin Miners are currently recording extremely high Exchange interaction, sending an ATH of $128 million to Exchanges, equivalent to 315% of their daily revenue.

Typically, the transfer of coins from miner or investor wallets to exchanges is perceived as an intention to sell or liquidate coins. However, in this context, it can also be seen as a reflection of optimism about Bitcoins future price potential.

Implications And Market Perception

The mining revenue in the Bitcoin network is intimately linked with the price of Bitcoin. Therefore, miners tend to increase their sales when they perceive the market to be robust enough to absorb the additional supply. This recent move could indicate strong confidence in the current market strength.

Glassnode, in additional tweets, points out a growing trend of strong accumulation and a shift towards self-custody, especially in the wake of the recent LUNA debacle and FTX fallout. This suggests an increasing trend among investors and miners towards maintaining control of their own assets as opposed to relying on third-party custodians.

Regardless, Bitcoin has seen a slight decline in the past 24 hours, down by 0.6% with a trading price still above the recently reclaimed $30,000. Prior to the retracement, Bitcoin has since been on an...

If You Hate Ordinals, You Might Undervalue The Bitcoin Network "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

This is an opinion editorial by Mark Maraia, a professional development author and Bitcoin researcher.

For years, Bitcoiners have been telling almost everyone who would listen that bitcoin is undervalued. Any Bitcoiner who's done the research knows that bitcoin the asset is radically undervalued. And I wholeheartedly agree! But even though bitcoin, the asset, is undervalued, it pales in comparison to how much the Bitcoin network is undervalued. I have long held that Bitcoiners, as a group, are undervaluing the Bitcoin network as much or more than no coiners are undervaluing bitcoin the asset.

So, it is with some amusement that I observe the fierce debate between the Bitcoin purists who believe that the use of the Bitcoin network (i.e., the immutable digital ledger) is only for sending value (bitcoin), and the inscriptions, Ordinals and BRC token crowd which says and does otherwise.

In my opinion, what most Bitcoin purists are missing is the difference between bitcoin the asset and the immutable digital ledger, also called the timechain. The highest and best use for the immutable ledger is holding and sending value, but it is not the only use, as inscriptions and BRC tokens are showing us.

In addition, Ive always thought of the network and protocol (the immutable digital ledger) as a place where I can post a message that cannot be changed. Hence, when the Declaration Of Monetary Independence (DoMI) was first published on October 31, 2021, I had a fellow Bitcoiner make permanent note of it in the timechain.

I believe it can be found at block height 707,575. And when we Bitcoin 2023 event, I had another Bitcoiner create an inscription for it. Both can now be found on the immutable ledger. I totally understand why many want to use the timechain only for money, but I consider it naive to think it will only be used for that purpose.

One Mans Nonsense Is Another Mans Meaning

Where I get worked up is in how little the market (all of us) values the timechain. In my opinion, there isnt a single person on the planet who values the network properly yet.

What inscriptions and BRC tokens do is increase the perceived value of the timechain. Overall, thats a plus. Until the network is valued at 250 sats per $1, its insanely underpriced!

Even in the era of inscriptions and BRC tokens, the immutable ledger is still radically undervalued and the cost for putting data on it is way below where an intelligent market will put it.

Its as if Satoshi Nakamoto invented two things: One, a new kind of scarce digital money and two, an immutable ledger to keep trac...

Back in 2017, I made a video (Mass Evacuation Of Antarctica as Special Ops And Military Moving In), This astonishing report was published at godlikeproductions. An anonymous wrote. "I'm a civilian contractor for a defense industry company you've probably heard of. We sell advanced hardware and electronic gear mainly to the US Army and Marines. Inhandle a lot of the logistics for moving mass quantities of this material around.
I was enjoying a few brews this Saturday when I got called in for an emergency. I didn't think much of it until I got there and there were some heavy hitter top brass there I've never seen. We work closely with the military so when a bunch of Colonels show up I never met I knew some serious business was in the works. On top of that some of them looked really panicked. Can't divulge much but I can say there is an instant order to move a material ton of some badass state of the art gear down to Antarctica. And also found out all civilians are getting Evacuated as soon as possible."

Some people enjoy sending postcards when they travel, while others use photography or a sketchbook to capture their travel memories. But embroidery artist Maria Zamyatina uses a needle and thread to make beautiful embroidered keepsakes of her trips. After visiting 27 countries and 151 cities, she certainly has plenty of inspiration to pull from.

From the iconic blue and white houses of Santorini to a colorful sunset in Portugal, Zamyatina has a wonderful ability to transport us on holiday with her. She often incorporates unique touches like watercolor paint and metallic threads to give her embroidery a special flair. And luckily for us, she's also enthusiastic about teaching others how they can create their own embroidered postcards.

In her online class with My Modern Met Academy, Zamyatina breaks down all the skills you'll need to take your embroidery on the road. Whether you want to sketch or photograph a scene, she shares her step-by-step process for transforming your travel memories into a tangible piece of art.

Bitcoin Price Rally Stalls For Now, Heres Why "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

After the Bitcoin price hit a new yearly high of $32,410 last Friday, June 23, the price rally has stalled for the time being. While the long-term outlook looks extremely bullish due to various Bitcoin spot ETF applications, there are currently a few reasons in the short-term which prevent a continuation for now.

Today, Wednesday, June 28, several negative news are weighing on the markets sentiment. First and foremost, the depegging of the fourth largest stablecoin by market cap, TrueUSD (TUSD), may have unsettled investors. As Bitcoinist reported earlier today, the latest revelations surrounding Prime Trust have raised new doubts that TUSD is fully backed with reserves.

Remarkably, TUSD is the most important trading pair (BTC/TUSD) in the entire market, with around 15% and $2.6 billion in trading volume on Binance in the last 24 hours. The rumors could have a negative impact, as shown by previous stablecoin depeggings by USDT and USDC.

Another factor that is probably having a negative impact on the Bitcoin price is the behavior of Bitcoin miners. As Glassnode reports today, Bitcoin miners are currently experiencing extremely high interaction with exchanges, sending an all-time high of $128 million in BTC to exchanges, representing 315% of their daily revenue.

Is He Wrong for Refusing to Go to His Twin Brothers Wedding? Heres What People Said.

Its pretty sad to hear stories about siblings not getting along with each other.

And its even more heartbreaking if twins act this waybut it happens from time to time.

And this young man asked the fine folks on Reddits Am I the A**hole? page if he is out of line for refusing to attend his twin brothers wedding.

Get all the details below and see what you think.

AITA for refusing to attend my twin brothers wedding?

I (21M) first started dating my now ex girlfriend (21F) when we were both 16, however, we made the decision to break up before heading off to college when we were 18.

I decided to go a few hours away while she decided to stay local. Also note that my girlfriend was very close with my family so this was hard on my family as well. When returning home from my first year of college, my brother surprised me with the news that he had been dating a girl for over 6 months now.

Only problem- it was my ex girlfriend.

I was obviously pi**ed and my brother understood but made it clear he had no intention of breaking up with her. Eventually we came to the agreement that we would continue our relationship if he never mentioned her to me or made us interact- he happily agreed to these terms.

However, recently my brother surprised me with the news that the two of them are now engaged, and he wants me to be his best man. I...

Cardano Set To Be Delisted On Huobi Will It Dent ADA Price? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Cardano (ADA) has found itself in the midst of a regulatory storm as two prominent exchanges in the United States have attracted the attention of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The SEC has not only focused on these exchanges but has also classified certain altcoins, including Cardano (ADA), as securities. Consequently, ADA has been directly affected by the recent scrutiny imposed by the SEC.

In response to the SECs statements, the team behind Cardano has issued a statement expressing their disagreement with the regulatory bodys position. However, it appears that the consequences of the SEC scrutiny are starting to manifest.

The latest reports indicate that specific Cardano trading pairs will be delisted from Huobi, a development that has very little impact on the price of ADA.

Market Reaction And Impact On Cardano (ADA) Price

Despite the recent news of specific ADA trading pairs being delisted, the market response has been relatively subdued. The current price of ADA on CoinGecko stands at $0.27, reflecting a decline of 1.8% in the past 24 hours. However, it is worth noting that this price movement cannot be solely attributed to the delisting announcement.

The removal of the ADA trading pair from Huobi has had a minimal impact on the overall price of the token. Despite concerns surrounding regulatory scrutiny and delisting actions, Cardano has managed to maintain a crucial price level. It demonstrates resilience in the face of adverse developments and suggests that market participants are not reacting significantly to the specific delisting news.

Every artist explores dimensions of space and place, orienting themselves and their works in the world, and orienting their audiences. Then there are artists like Vincent van Gogh, who make space and place a primary subject. In his early paintings of peasant homes and fields, his figures muscular shoulders and hands interact with sturdy walls and gnarled trees. Later country sceneswhether curling and delicate, like Wheatfield with a Reaper, or heavy and ominous, like Wheatfield with Crows (both below)give us the sense of the landscape as a single living entity, pulsating, writhing, blazing in brilliant yellows, reds, greens, and blues.

Van Gogh painted interior scenes, such as his famous The Bedroom, at the top (the first of three versions), with an eye toward using color as the means of making space purposeful: Its just simply my bedroom, he wrote to Paul Gauguin of the 1888 painting, only here color is to do everything to be suggestive here of rest or of sleep in general. In a word, looking at the picture ought to rest the brain, or rather the imagination.

Ripple Vs. SEC: Deaton Predicts New Verdict Date, But XRP Price Loses Steam "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The XRP community continues to eagerly await a ruling in the legal battle between Ripple Labs and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). So far, all speculations about a supposed end date have been wrong. The judge in charge, Analisa Torres, is taking more time for her ruling than many legal experts predicted based on previous proceedings.

However, this does not stop lawyer John E. Deaton, who is representing the XRP army in the legal case as amicus curiae, from making a new prediction. In the latest CryptoLaw broadcast, lawyer Deaton speculated that Judge Torres will issue the summary judgment on September 6, 2023.

Ripple Vs. SEC: Why September 6 Might Be The End Date

In the live stream, the lawyer explains that he has tried to give a prediction for a verdict date several times in the past. For this, he looked at Judge Torres previous proceedings. The finding was that Torres ruled at different speeds once the Daubert/expert motions were decided: sometimes it was on the same day, in other cases it was after two, four and six months respectively.

Based on this, Deaton made the prediction that Judge Torres will rule on May 6, by early June at the latest (the average: three months). As a reminder, Torres ruled on the Daubert motions in the case between Ripple and the SEC on March 6 this year.

Now that those deadlines have passed, Deaton came up with a new prediction: according to the lawyer, Judge Torres will issue a summary judgment after the full six months, on September 6 this year. As Deaton also pointed out, the length of the litigation between Ripple and the SEC is within the usual range so far and does not take longer than other cases.

In another comment, Deaton noted that Judge Torres may delay the ruling because she understands the importance of the SEC v. Ripple case. She knows that thousands of people, including the appellate courts, will be reviewing her summary judgment decision in the Ripple case. She also has a staggering 500 open cases to decide, 44 of which are criminal cases.

XRP Price Loses Steam

The delay of the ruling in the legal battle between Ripple and the SEC seems to have upset XRP investors. A look at the 1-day chart of XRP shows that the price is in a descending trend channel after the price failed to break above the resistance at $0.50 in the higher time frames over the past two weeks.

A breakout from the trend channel is crucial to make a new run towards resistance at $0.50. Currently, XRP is testing the middle line of the trend channel. A break below $0.4730 could mean a further drop towards the lower...

Rushing Home Wedding Veil copy She Gave up When She Was Supposed to Bring Her Sister Her Wedding Veil. Is She a Jerk?

She wont need it, right?

Well, it does sound kind of important, so you might want to think about it

Oh, boyit sounds like this situation got pretty uglybut was this woman wrong for deciding to give up when she was supposed to bring her sister her wedding veil?

Check out the story below and make up your mind!

AITA for rushing home to get my sisters forgotten wedding veil, but giving up on bringing it to her?

My oldest sister Odette just got married at a venue that (with no traffic) is about two hours and fifteen minutes away.

Odette planned to wear great-great grandma Marys veil, which has a distinct lace pattern and is passed to only the eldest daughter. In our family its considered good luck, heavily sentimental, and we have multiple bridal pictures of eldest daughters in the veil while standing with their mom and grandma.

The bridal party and family met at Odettes house before driving to the venue. The veil had been in a garment bag, hung up in front of a closet door, but the door had been opened, the hanger fell off, and none of us missed it when we packed up.

We made it to the venue by noon for the 4pm wedding. Odette realized the veil was missing and ran to me in a panic, insisting I needed to be the one to go find it:...

If you havent yet seen Wes Andersons new movie Asteroid City, I recommend doing so not just in the theater, but in a seat as close to the screen as you can handle. Youll feel more enveloped by the desert landscapes (the Spanish desert, standing in for Arizona), but youll also be better placed to appreciate the detail of all the miniatures that fill it. Over his past two and a half decades of feature films, Andersons signature aesthetic has become ever more Andersonian. This has many aspects, one of them being an intensive use of models: real, physical models, as opposed to digital visuals created entirely by computer. In the new Vox video above, model maker and prop painter Simon Weisse, veteran also of Isle of Dogs and The French Dispatch, explains the how and the why behind it

Asteroid City opens with a train crossing a vast, parched expanse, passing alongside (or through) the occasional rock formation. Any viewer would assume the train is a miniature, though not every viewer would immediately think as revealed in this videos behind-the-scenes shots that the same is true of the rocks.

Kaching! Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Price Explodes Over 100% Whats Powering It? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) recently experienced a remarkable surge, registering more than 100% increase. As one of the leading digital currencies, Bitcoin Cash has often been compared to its predecessor, Bitcoin (BTC), but it has also carved its own path in the ever-evolving crypto landscape.

BCH, a cryptocurrency born out of a hard fork from Bitcoin in August 2017, shares the same underlying technology as its predecessor but aims to address some of the scalability issues that Bitcoin faced.

With its larger block size and faster transaction times, Bitcoin Cash aimed to become a more efficient and accessible form of digital currency. However, it has faced its fair share of scrutiny and volatility over the years.

Now, with its recent meteoric rise, the question on everyones mind is: What factors are driving this surge in Bitcoin Cashs price, and what does it mean for the future of this digital asset?

Bitcoin Cash Emerges As Top Performer

Bitcoin Cash BCH has exhibited an exceptional performance, positioning itself as one of the leading performers over both short and long timeframes. Over the past seven days, BCH has shown an impressive surge, soaring by a remarkable 106.3%.

Even in the past 24 hours, it remains a top contender with a gain of 2.8%, defying the prevailing sentiment of stagnation observed in recent days. The current trading price for BCH, according to CoinGecko, stands at $226.69, further solidifying its upward trajectory.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin, the flagship cryptocurrency, experienced a significant breakthrough by surpassing the $30,000 mark with remarkable momentum, briefly breaching the $31,000 threshold before the start of the weekend.

However, the bullish momentum was unable to sustain itself, leading to a resurgence of selling pressure and subsequently pushing the price back towards the $30,000 level. At the time of writing, the primary cryptocurrency is trading around $30,444, reflecting a meager setback in its upward trajectory.

Are yall ready for some serious real talk?

I sure hope so, because youre about to get a BIG dose of it.

And it comes to us from AskReddit users who went on the record and shared the dark secrets from their professions.

Take a look at what they had to say and prepare to be shocked.

Does heat k**l mold? Asking for all of us.

At a very large pizza chain restaurant that remains widely popular, we had these perforated pans for thin crust and stuffed crust pizzas. Theyd get washed in the dishwasher by the hundreds per day and at least half would still have burnt cheese on them.

Well they were just stacked to dry. When making new pizzas in those pans, sometimes the pans that were left to dry overnight grew bits of mold around the burnt cheese. We were told just to put the dough on top because otherwise wed never keep up with the orders if we rewashed everything. The manager said, dont worry, it gets cooked.

This shouldnt surprise anyonebut it should make you mad.

I work at a county jail in the midwest. The most disturbing thing about jail is the terrible loop some inmates get stuck in. Many inmates with mental issues get caught in this loop where they cant have any clothes or items because they will try to k**l themselves and they are locked in their cell for 23 hours a day.

T.J. Dedeaux-Norriss Medium Is Healing "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

This article is part of HyperallergicPride Month series, featuring an interview with a different transgender or nonbinary emerging or mid-career artist every weekday throughout the month of June.

Iowa City-based artist and professor Meka Jean, hereby known as her alter-ego T.J. Dedeaux-Norris (they/them), indulges in limitless methods and materials to dissolve the imagined separations delineating identity-based dichotomies in our society. Through rap music, filmed or live performances, textile work, and curated assemblages and installations, Dedeaux-Norris peels back the layers of inherited genetic information that codifies prescribed structures of race, class, gender, and occupation. Their practice chips away at these hardened ideas and their histories, revealing an intrinsic fluidity that serves as the key to both personal and broader liberation.

Hyperallergic: What is the current focus of your artistic practice?

T.J. Dedeaux-Norris: My embodied practice extends beyond the studio where I develop performances, edit videos, sew textiles, assemble installations, and paint into a life-wide investigation of the interformativity of individual and collective identities and how that manifests in the body and its labor over time. I experiment with physical, mental, and spiritual modalities, from boxing to chiropractics to cognitive behavioral therapy, to test their conceptual and technical impacts on...

The De-Intellectualization of America "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Image result for low information voters'

The success of two Democrat administrations in recent years of practically destroying America and being allowed to get away with crimes that would put you and I in prison for years can be attributed to expunging of critical thinking throughout the land. The American public in general has allowed themselves to be lied to by the mainstream media, they have ignored blatant evidence presented to their faces, they have allowed themselves to be corralled like livestock during the planned Covid 19 crisis, and the effects upon the Republic may be irreversible. Obama and Biden have practically laid waste to this country with a compliant audience of low information voters.

Checkmate

We are at a crossroads where the opportunity to expose the corruption deep inside Washington DC lies within grasp, but the checkmate on part of the Democrats is that they hold a majority of appointees in the Justice Department which commands and controls the FBI as their attack dog against the opposition. Outright Democrat criminals are not being prosecuted! That Americana seems to have a hard time comprehending that their own nation is being rapidly compromised from within seems to be a problem! This is not just from cognitive dissonance and apathy, but it suggests a long process of literal de-intellectualism that has been so pervasive that large sectors of the American population have been neutralized from fighting the corruption because they have blindly accepted it.

Brainwashing starts early

For too long parents assumed that the best interests for their children were being exercised in the classroom while the federal government was bust interjecting America hating content, sexual perversion, and a lack of intellectually challenging curriculum for growing adults. Even when the kids were smart enough to overcome this still you can give a student the facts, but if you havent taught them how to think and use those facts you still have not defeated the adversity. In a new generation of video game obsessed, cell phone dependent, vanity seeking young pupils, facts get washed away and feeling become the priority. If you take away history and teaching the great heritage of a country those in the classroom have no point of reference or pride in their nation.

New Report Sheds Light on Plight of Persecuted Artists "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Artists at Risk Connection (ARC), an offshoot of the freedom of expression nonprofit PEN America, has published a new report urging human rights and arts organizations to expand their protections for oppressed artists. Titled Art Is Power: 20 Artists on How They Fight for Justice and Inspire Change, the document profiles 20 visual artists, performers, filmmakers, musicians, and authors, most of whom now live in exile, and argues that these cultural workers too often fall outside the scope of advocacy groups.

One of those artists is Bart Was Not Here (the professional name of Kyaw Moe Khine), a Burmese digital artist who grew up in Myanmar in the late 1990s and 2000s and was forced to leave his country in 2021. In an interview with Hyperallergic, Bart discussed Myanmars long history of social uprising and his forced emigration.

A New Monograph Traces a Decade of Travel for Seth Globepainters Imaginative Characters "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

A child appears to float into a vibrantly colored portal in the middle of an urban alleyway

2022, Le Mans, France. All images Julien Malland, shared with permission

Known for filtering incisive social commentary through the lens of childhood innocence, French artist Julien Malland, a.k.a. Seth Globepainter, has spent the better part of his career capturing the hope and wonder of adolescence. His imaginative characters (previously) appear on walls from Miami to Shanghai and often emerge in places marred by difficulties, including Syrian refugee camps and the bombed streets of the Donbas region in Ukraine.

Titled Seth, On Walls, the artists first monograph was published in November and chronicles a decade of resilient, youthful subjects. Enveloped by color and playful optical illusions, the largely faceless figures are introspective and often turn away from the viewer to rest, play with a friend, or look toward a distant, unknown future. Many of the murals contain small, vibrant portals nestled among the gray, urban landscapes, and like the works themselves, the book takes this optimistic approach to offer a delicate reading of the world in which imagination becomes the cure for all ills.

Seth, On Walls will be released to U.S. readers in September. Pre-order your copy now, and follow the artists latest projects on Instagram.

Nevada FID Files Court Petition To Place Prime Trust In Receivership Over Financial Woes "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Nevada's Financial Institutions Division has taken legal action against Prime Trust LLC, filing a court petition to place the company in receivership. The Division cited concerns about Prime Trust's unsafe and unsound operations as well as its insolvency. This move follows a Cease-and-Desist Order issued on June 21, 2023.

The court petition revealed that the company owes more than $82 million in fiat cash, and that the company lost access to what it describes as legacy wallets holding cryptocurrency in 2021.

The petition states:

"In January 2021, PRIME reintroduced specific legacy wallet forwarding addresses to customers (Legacy Wallets). It is understood PRIME did so because of limitations associated with creating new wallets within the Fireblocks platform. PRIME purportedly believed that these legacy wallets existed on the Fireblocks platform or were configured to forward to wallets accessible on the Fireblocks platform. However, it is understood that on or about December 2021, PRIME discovered that it was unable to access the Legacy Wallets and the cryptocurrency therein. It is understood that from December 2021 to March 2022, to satisfy the withdrawals from the inaccessible Legacy Wallets, PRIME purchased additional digital currency using customer money from its omnibus customer accounts. PRIME is reported to have been making efforts to regain access to the Legacy Wallets. However, as of the date of this Petition, PRIME has been unable to do so.

On top of this previously unknown blunder, the petition detailed the unsafe financial state of the firm, saying:

In addition to the above, it is reported that the frequency of customer withdrawals from PRIME have recently increased. Furthermore, many of the withdrawals were for large sums. As such, at or about the time of the instant Petition, it is understood that PRIMEs financial status is such that it owes, in fiat currency, $85,670,000 to its clients but has $2,904,000 in fiat currency (equaling an $82,766,000 fiat currency liability). As to digital currency, PRIME owes $69,509,000 to its clients but only has $68,648,000 in digital currency As such, PRIME would be unable to satisfy all of its withdrawals.

According to the released statement, the Division's petition seeks the appointment of a receiver who will assume control over Prime Trust's day-to-day operations and conduct a thorough financial examination. The receiver will then determine the best course of action to protect the company's clients, which may involve rehabilitating Prime and returning it to private management or liquidating the company altogether.

In a statement, the Nevada Financial Institutions...

Japan is known for many things and its iconic Himeji Castle is certainly one of them. Standing tall since 1333, this magnificent castle has dazzled locals and tourists for centuries. Now, you can have your very own replica of this landmark at home. LEGO has just unveiled a 2,125-piece set of Himeji Castle. The model is part of their Architecture series, an adult-oriented collection that depicts famed structures from around the globe.

The LEGO set is part of the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the castle (nicknamed the White Heron Castle) being listed as a World Heritage Site. Located in the Hyogo Prefecture, it is the largest and most visited castle in Japan. It's location on a hilltop was not only crucial during its time as a samurai stronghold, but also turned it into one of the most photogenic buildings in the world.

The detailed LEGO set captures the castles turrets, walkways, and asymmetric walls in its signature style. Once assembled, it measures 7.5 inches high, 12.5 inches wide, and 10.5 inches deep. The model focuses on the castles distinctive main keep, as well as the famed watariyagura corridor that connects it to the shorter adjacent tower. As beautiful as it is on the outside, you can also lift the top of the main building to view a simplified interpretation of the interior layout.

Music Festival Crowd Helps Lewis Capaldi Through Tourettes Syndrome Flare-Up

Lewis Capaldi Performs at Concert

Photo: benhoudijk/Depositphotos

Since opening up about his experience with Tourette's syndrome, Lewis Capaldi has received heartwarming support from his fans. This neurological disorder causes unwanted movements or sounds called tics and, because the onset of symptoms can happen at any time, the 26-year-old Scottish singer is often battling flare-ups during performances. This happened recently at the Glastonbury festival in England. However, the adoring crowd was quick to help out by filling in the missing lyrics.

A video shows Capaldi trying to perform his song Somebody You Love until his tics become too much and he has to step away from the mic. Amazingly, all of his fans are right there to pick up where he left off and enthusiastically continue the lyrics, which they all know by heart. Just as Capaldi finishes singing Somebody to have, the people below chorus, Somebody to hold/It's easy to say/It's never the same/I guess I kinda liked the way you numbed all the pain.

Although Capaldi was able to finish the concert with the help of his fans, he closed the performance by saying, You might not see me for the rest of the year. He later confirmed in a statement that he will be taking more time off to adjust to living with Tourette's syndrome. [On] Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come, he writes.

When the videos of the concert were shared on social media, others were quick to voice their own support for the singer. Protect Lewis at all costs. We'll continue to support youtake as long a rest as you need Lewis, we'll be there on the other side!! one person...

Liams mother had been following a WAPF diet since college and introduced the importance of dietary preparation for healthy babies to Liams father while they were still dating! Good nutrition, exercise and chiropractic adjustments during pregnancy made a huge difference. Postpartum went great as well; people warned Liams parents how hard the first few months would be and how tired they would be, but this was not the case! From the beginning, Liam was a highly alert, mature and contented baby. He started on solid foods at four and a half months (he already had two teeth by then), and he now eats and drinks just about anything. In fact, he thinks cod liver oil is dessert and gets excited when it is brought out after dinner. People tell Liams parents how lucky they arebut they know it isnt luck at all.

Bridget Rileys Studio Practice Takes Center Stage at the Morgan "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

British artist Bridget Riley (b. 1931) is one of the most celebrated abstract painters of her generation. Bridget Riley Drawings: From the Artists Studio the first exhibition dedicated exclusively to her drawings in over 50 years provides an intimate view of her studio practice, in which the making of works on paper plays a central role.

The show includes more than 75 studies from the artists collection created between the 1940s and the 2000s, among them early figurative and landscape drawings made during her student years; black-and-white studies for her best known paintings from the 1960s; and a diverse array of color compositions going back to the late 1960s. Together, they demonstrate Rileys commitment to paper, pencil, ink, and gouache as tools of exploration and innovation. From working drawings on graph paper to finished gouaches, these studies anticipate her finished paintings and reveal an essential aspect of her artistic process, which she describes as follows: It is as though there is an eye at the end of my pencil, which tries, independently of my personal general-purpose eye, to pe...

Four Volunteers Entered NASAs Mars Simulation Where They Will Live for Over a Year

On our television screens right now, a group of celebrities is acting out life on Mars. But over at NASA, things are going much further as four volunteers have entered a simulated Mars habitat at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. They'll spend 378 days inside the environment, facing challenges to prepare the agency for a human mission to the Red Planet.

This CHAPEA (Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analog) mission is the first of three, year-long Mars surface simulations. Seen as important stepping stones to sending astronauts to Mars, the group will tackle issues like resource limitations, equipment failure, and communication delays.

On June 25, the volunteers entered the 3D-printed, 1,700-square-foot habitat, which was designed by Bjarke Ingels. It includes a 1,200-square-foot red sandbox to simulate the Martian environment. In addition, there is a kitchen, two bathrooms, living quarters, and areas for medical care, recreation, and work. Aside from the challenges that they'll face, the crew will carry out their normal daily activities, like exercise, personal hygiene, habitat maintenance, spacewalks, and crop growth.

Selected from a 2021 open call, the volunteers for this special analog mission include a registered member of the Mohawk Nation of the Six Nations, a microbiologist from the U.S. Navy, and a structural engineer. The varied background of the volunteers will help make for a well-rounded skill set inside the Martian simulation.

Researchers Say Short Daytime Naps May Support Brain Health

Short Daytime Naps May Support Brain Health

Photo: DAVID-PULL.HOTMAIL.COM/Depositphotos

Despite leaps and bounds in the past century, neuroscience remains both fascinated and challenged by the mystery of sleep. Sleep science intersects with neuroscience and countless other scientific fields due to the whole-body nature of rest. Similarly, aging is a process which affects the whole body, especially the brain. The brain atrophies and shrinks as one ages, and greater shrinkage is associated with greater cognitive declines. Interestingly, a British study in Sleep Health has discovered that short daytime naps may be protective against shrinkage. Specifically, there was a modest causal link between habitual napping and larger total brain volume, which may be protective.

The study used data from the UK Biobank, a pool of data on 500,000 participants who entered the dataset at age 40 to 69. Researchers from University College London and the University of the Republic in Uruguay culled data from 35,080 to examine the effects of naps. They examined those who, like about 1% of the population, have a genetic variant that predisposes them to daytime napping. It is like a natural randomized control trial, Dr Victoria Garfield, a co-author of the study from UCL, told The Guardian. Participants had...

A Shelter in Time: John Berger on the Power of Music "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Songs are like rivers: each follows its own course, yet all flow to the sea, from which everything came.

A Shelter in Time: John Berger on the Power of Music

A rough sound was polished until it became a smoother sound, which was polished until it became music, the poet Mark Strand wrote in his ode to the enchantment of music. Music is the most indescribable of the arts, and that may be what makes it the most powerful the creative force best capable of giving voice and shape to our most ineffable experiences and most layered longings, of containing them and expanding them at once. It is our supreme language for the exhilaration of being alive.

I have come upon no finer definition of music than philosopher Susanne Langers, who conceived of it as a laboratory for feeling in time. Time, indeed, is not only the raw material of music the fundamental building block of melody and rhythm but also its supreme gift to the listener. A song is a shelter in time, a shelter in being music meets us at particular moments of our lives, enters us and magnifies those moments, anchors them in the stream of life, so that each time we hear the song again the living self is transported to the lived moment, and yet transformed.

That is what the uncommonly insightful painter, poet, and writer John Berger (November 5, 1926January 2, 2017) explores in his essay Some Notes on Song, composed in the last months of his life and included in his altogether wonderful final collection Confabulations (public library).

Maria was very wise, kind, determined, and open to the world, says the granddaughter of Ukrainian self-taught artist Maria Prymachenko (1908-1997). She incorporated her worldview and philosophy into the paintings she created. Prymachenkos vibrant and fantastical artworks (previously) combined her inner thoughts with observations of the world around her, depicting symmetrical floral arrangements, wildlife, and everyday scenes. Her focus on the beauty of daily existence takes center stage at Saatchi Gallery in London next month, marking the first time these pieces, which have been carefully preserved by the artists family for half a century, have been exhibited in the U.K.

Saatchi partnered with the Prymachenko Family Foundation and the Ukrainian Embassy to organize this special selection of 23 works, many of which were originally intended for a childrens book and often focus on portrayals of the artist or women spinning fiber on a wheel, herding horses, or sitting outside with baby in a buggy. Many are double-sided, like Beast of Polissia, which includes a handwritten narrative on the reverse.

Insights Into MiCA, Europe's New Comprehensive Bitcoin And Crypto Regulation Framework "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In a recent interview with Vishal Sacheendran, Director of MENA and Europe at Binance, he provided insights into the upcoming Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation in Europe. Vishal, who previously worked for a financial regulator in Abu Dhabi, explained that MiCA is a comprehensive set of regulations for cryptocurrencies that treats them as financial services. He highlighted that MiCA brings uniformity to the registration and anti-money laundering requirements for crypto asset service providers across Europe, allowing for passporting of licenses throughout the region.

When asked about the impact of MiCA on Bitcoin specifically, Vishal stated that MiCA does not differentiate between different cryptocurrencies and treats them all equally. He mentioned that while MiCA is not the first regulatory framework in the world, it is the first in Europe and similar to what the UK is doing with its regulation.

Regarding the implications for companies operating as crypto asset service providers (CASP), Vishal explained that they will be regulated based on the services they provide rather than the underlying asset class. ...your cap requirements, your risk mitigations, everything is around the services that you're doing. Different services such as custody, trading platforms and advice will have specific requirements and risk mitigations.

Vishal also mentioned that the MiCA regulation will have varying requirements based on the size of the service providers. Larger providers will have more capital and governance controls to ensure consumer protection.
