Retired Baseball Player is Now a Full-Time Artist Specializing in Wood and Resin Sculptures "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Retired Baseball Player is Now a Full-Time Artist Specializing in Wood and Resin Sculptures

Wood and Resin Animal Sculptures by Blake McFarland

Lustrous and hard-wearing, epoxy resin has risen in popularity among contemporary artists. Its versatility comes from being able to be combined with other ingredients such as pigment powders or even other objects like flowers and sand. In the case of Blake McFarlands work, he prefers to pair resin with different wood varieties. Since retiring from baseball, he works full-time as an artist, creating stunning sculptures of animals like wolves, bears, and beyond.

His elegant approach merges the robust qualities of wood with the glass-like finish of resin. While the majority of these animal sculptures are composed of mixed woods, he leaves key areas like the head or back of the subject to be filled in by transparent resin. This adds a sparkly finish to the pieces.

In each work, McFarland begins with a block of wood and resin. He then uses various power tools to sand it down to the desired form, always with finesse. The wooden composites feature different varieties like Cherry, Curly Maple Buckeye Burl, and many more, adding to the intricate aesthetic. I love working with new materials and always challenging myself to learn something new, he says.

You can commission a sculpture and find available work for purchase via McFarland's website. Scroll down to see more amazing art and be sure to follow the artist on Instagram to keep up to date with his latest projects.

Avalanche Coin Teeters At Crucial Price Level: Which Way Will it Swing? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Avalanche (AVAX) has experienced a significant price increase, surpassing a crucial barrier in recent trading sessions. In the past 24 hours, AVAX saw a 6% rise, while its weekly chart shows a notable appreciation of over 17%.

However, the technical outlook for Avalanche suggests mixed signals with a slight inclination toward bearish momentum in the market. Although there have been attempts to recover demand, it has not shown significant improvement, and accumulation remains low according to the chart.

While Bitcoin has re-entered the $30,000 price level, leading to optimism in the altcoin market, including Avalanche, it is important to note that Avalanche and other altcoins have not completely overcome their challenges.

Related Reading: AVAX Breaches $13 Barrier With 16% Rally Whats The Next Price Level To Watch?

For AVAX to see a bullish trend, it must surpass a crucial barrier of $13, allowing the bulls to gain control of the price. Additionally, the stability of Bitcoins price is essential for overall market strength. AVAX has experienced a decline in market capitalization, indicating reduced buying power reflected on the chart.

Avalanche Price Analysis: One-Day Chart

Avalanche

At the time of writing, AVAX was trading at $12.90. Avalanche is currently making efforts to prevent a depreciation in its price following its breakthrough of the $12 resistance level.

Although AVAX briefly moved above $13, it experienced a slight decline in its value during recent trading sessions. In order for the bulls to take control, Avalanche needs to surpass the $13 mark and breach the resistance level of $15.

If AVAX continues to trade around the current price level, it may be pushed towards its nearest support at $12.40, and potentially even below $12. This is because the volume of AVAX traded in the last session was red, indicatin...

In Ink and Watercolor Illustrations, Felicia Chiao Immerses Curious Characters in Surreal Scenarios "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

An illustration of a small figure surrounded by anthropomorphized flowers.

Weepy Chrysanthemums. All images Felicia Chiao, shared with permission

Whether floating in pools of rainwater in the center of chrysanthemums or navigating the chaos of a fish tank, the characters in Felicia Chiaos drawings encounter surreal circumstances that tap into complex emotions. Her illustrations (previously) follow the experiences and interactions of solemn figures who search for the sun, become immersed in blossoms, and appear both curious about and overwhelmed by the huge world around them.

Chiao incorporates anthropomorphized elements of nature to represent moods, like in Try, which contrasts the cheerful, sunny top level of an apartment with a dim, melancholy lower level that gets little light. In Bloat, a dark, inner monstera recurring specteris dispelled by the shining sun. Peering past giant flower petals or surrounded by prying eyes, her figures express universal feelings of awe, anxiety, uncertainty, and joy.

Long using Copic markers for her drawings, Chiao recently switched to watercolor for gallery works, maintaining a similar style of washed hues while achieving better archival quality. She continues to use the markers for personal work, sharing with Colossal, The new medium, however, has enabled me to push the boundaries of scale and color application. Some of these pieces are part of New Normal, the artists solo exhibition at...

THE best testimony of firsthand involvement with a UFO crash retrieval in Peru "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Picture
One of the, if not THE best recorded testimony of firsthand involvement with a UFO crash retrieval which took place in Peru in March/April 1997:

Craft crashed into shear ridge in jungle
It measured 30 ft by 65 ft, shaped like an egg or teardrop
Felt that the craft was organic, "alive"
Life forms within ship communicated with him telepathically, were asking for help.
Back of craft had gashes from some impact; thinks these were due to surface-to-air missile (SAM) fired by military to bring it down
Military tracked the craft as it entered into the atmosphere; did this with other craft.

And one more caveat: the Varginha UFO crash occurred one year later in 1998 in nearby Brazil. Coincidence?

Gallery Walls Are Transformed Into Exquisitely Ornate Art Made of Cardboard

Sculpture by Eva Jospin

Galleria

Humble cardboard is transformed into spectacular artwork by French artist Eva Jospin. Using the ubiquitous paper material, she creates cave-like architectural elements and smaller sculptures that showcase its versatility. Now on view in her solo exhibition titled Folies, each piece gives cardboard a voice. Sawed, inlaid, and stacked, Jospin creates a permanence to an ephemeral material.

With its unexpected use of cardboard and other mixed media, Folies is meant to entice the viewer and make us rethink our notions of what were seeing. [Folies] was the name given to garden constructions in the 18th and 19th centuries that had a purely ornamental or decorative function, without any functional purpose, Jospin explains. I like the ambivalence it generates.

One of the standout pieces in Folies is called Galleria, which reimagines a hallway with Jospin's work. The gallery's outer walls greet us with tree-like forms punctuated with the classical structure of a coffered ceiling. Cardboard frames with ornate inlaid elements display more of Jospin's work as you walk down the hall. Some of the framed compositions are also made of cardboard while others are created with thread or drawings. Together, the experience is a rich look into Jospins creative mind and makes a transitional space one that feels like a destination.

Folies is at Mariane Ibrahim in Mexico City until September 9, 2023.

Bitcoin Whales Show Most Active Hour In 3 Months As BTC Breaks $30,000 "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

On-chain data shows that Bitcoin whales have just had their most active hour in around three months as the asset has broken past $30,000.

Bitcoin Whale Transaction Count Has Observed A Spike Recently

According to data from the on-chain analytics firm Santiment, 259 whale transactions occurred two hours after the local top that the cryptocurrency has observed during the past day so far.

The relevant indicator here is the whale transaction count, which measures the total number of Bitcoin transactions taking place on the blockchain that is worth at least $1 million in value.

As generally, only the whales are capable of moving such large amounts with a single transfer, these transactions can provide us a hint about the degree of activity that the whales are displaying right now

When the value of the whale transaction count is high, it means that there are a high amount of large transactions taking place on the network currently. Naturally, such a trend would imply the whales are highly active at the moment.

Since the amounts involved in these transfers are so high, a large number of them taking place at once can cause noticeable fluctuations in the assets price. Thus, when the whale transaction count is elevated, the cryptocurrency may become more probable to show high volatility.

Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the Bitcoin whale transaction count over the past week:

Bitcoin Whale Transaction Count

As displayed in the above graph, the Bitcoin whale transaction count has registered a huge spike during the past day. This extraordinary surge in the indicator occurred around two hours after the asset hit its local top and lasted for around an hour.

In this hour, whales made 259 transactions, which is the most amount in over three months. As for the implication of this spike on the price of the asset, as mentioned before, high values of the indicator can lead to more volatility for the cryptocurrency.

Such volatility can go either way, however, as the metric merely counts the pure number of whale transactions happening on the blockchain; it contains no information about whether the transfers have been made for buying or selling pu...

The Lion of Chaeronea "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Denarius minted by Sextus Pompeius (ca. 67-35 BCE), son of Pompey the Great and admiral during the wars of the Second Triumvirate. On the obverse, a galley with eagle, scepter, and trident, beneath a column topped by a statue of Neptune. On the reverse, the sea monster Scylla (who had a human head and torso but whose loins were variously described as dogs and serpents), wielding a rudder as a club.

Sextus Pompeius, a naval commander of considerable skill, was one of the principal threats to the uneasy alliance between Octavian and Antony in the years following Julius Caesars assassination. Based on Sicily, which allowed him both to menace the Italian coast and to deprive Rome itself of much-needed Sicilian grain, Sextus gave Octavian much grief until his final defeat by Octavians admiral M. Agrippa at Naulochus (36 BCE). The coin above is thought to have been minted between 42 and 40 and to celebrate a naval victory over Octavian (which may have been aided by a storm in the Strait of Messina). Of particular note is Sextus attempt to stress his ties with his father, who had nominally been the Senates champion against Caesar. The obverse styles Sextus both as MAGNUS, like his father, and PIUS, marking his filial devotion. His office as given on the reverse is PRAEF(ECTUS) CLAS(SIS) ET ORAE MARIT(IMAE) EX S(ENATUS) C(ONSULTO)Prefect of the fleet and the maritime coast by command of the Senatein token of his claim to represent Republican authority against the usurpation of the triumvirs.

All Images Credit to Hal Turner Website Citizens in **MANY** areas of the U.S.A. are startled that tanks, troops, assault aircraft are BEING DEPLOYED on the streets throughout the U.S.A. today, Saturday, June 17.  Video below shows tanks on the highways of Idaho, Osprey Helicopters dropping Marines in California residential neighborhoods, and trainloads of military armor moving in Montreal, Quebec, CANADA. We begin in Larksper, California where United States Marine Corps OSPREY aircraft are dropping troops into residential neighborhoods: Larskper, CA is shown on the scalable map below, and gives the military direct control over the 101 Highway into/out-of San Francisco via Golden Gate Bridge, as well as the I-580 Highway: Next, we received video from people living in Idaho, showing a group of M1A1 Abrams battle tanks, operating on the roads of Idaho Falls, ID.  NOT on flatbed trailers being moved, but instead actually operating ON THE PUBLIC ROADS: Idaho Falls is shown on the scalable map below.   Idaho Falls puts the military in direct control of the I-15 Highway which is the main route for much of the northwestern USA:   Lastly (for now) we show video of a train full of military armor and other equipment, has moved into Montreal, Quebec, CANADA and stopped for unloading. Intuitive Astrology: Capricorn Full Moon July 2023 "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

The Capricorn Full Moon arrives on July 3, 2023, and brings both challenges and rewards. It seems that the Universe is encouraging us to do the hard things but is also promising we will be pleasantly rewarded when we do.

This makes the Capricorn Full Moon a perfect opportunity to find the discipline needed to achieve the goals we are after. Create those schedules, tick off items on your to-do list, get back on your meditation cushion, and tackle those challenging projects you have been putting off the Universe is on your side!

The Capricorn Full Moon can also help illuminate what is no longer working in our lives, giving us the opportunity to step up and take responsibility. It can be challenging to confront what is no longer working or supporting us, as it sometimes requires us to take ownership of the situation that has been created. While not everything is our doing, there is a power to be found when we step up to the plate and start taking responsibility for the situation we have found ourselves in.

When we address the role we have been playing, that is when we can find the courage to turn things around to get our lives closer to where we want to be.

If you use the powers of this July 2023 Full Moon wisely, it can guide you to overcome obstacles, face up to challenges, and reach the top of whatever mountain you wish to climb!

To guide you through all of this energy, we can turn to the Capricorn Sea-Goat to guide us. The Sea-Goat is a mythical creature used to represent the energy of the Capricorn zodiac. As the name suggests, the Sea-Goat is half fish and half goat.

This unique mix of species allows the Sea-Goat to swim to the depths of the sea and climb the tallest mountains. The Sea-Goat has a unique advantage, but it also has some limitations too. It is up to the Sea-Goat to overcome these limitations in order to reach its fullest potential. When it learns how to swim with just half the body of a fish, it can marvel in the miracles of the deep sea. When it learns how to scale a tall mountain with just half the body of a goat , it can marvel in the miracles of the view below.

We can all tap into the gifts of the Sea-Goat when the Capricorn Full Moon lights up our sky. We can all learn from the myth of the Sea-Goat and apply it to our lives. In fact, take a moment to pause and see how the story of the Sea-Goat resonates with where you are right now.

Do you feel you are facing some challenges that feel difficult but could also be highly rewarding too?

The Sea Goat is all about taking on challenges and surmounting them in order to live its best life, so just like the Sea-Goat, embrace those challenges that seem too big to tackle. And...

Ripple (XRP) Is A Must-Hold For The Next Bull Run, Says Bitcoin Maxi "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In the often-polarizing universe of crypto, it isnt often that an established Bitcoin maximalist or advocate publicly places a bet on a different coin. However, in a sudden turn of events, Crypto Rover, a crypto influencer and Bitcoin devotee, recently confirmed his substantial investment in XRP.

The influencer did not only seem to boast its latest XRP purchase but also gave advice in the same tweet that read Ripple is a must-hold for the next Bull Run. While this type of word coming from a Bitcoin maxi is quite unusual, there could be possible reasons behind the BTC devotee XRP support.

Unforeseen Support For XRP From A Bitcoin Proponent

Crypto Rover who is famous for his Bitcoin-centric views recently surprised the crypto community by revealing a major purchase of $250,000 in XRP in recent weeks. He shared this update via a tweet, indicating a departure from his usual investment pattern of Bitcoin holdings.

According to the influencer, he believes Ripple will emerge winner in its ongoing legal proceedings, which, in his opinion, may lead to a widespread FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) effect.

It is worth noting that this factor alone could be one of the reasons behind the Bitcoin Maxis sudden support for XRP

Rovers backing of XRP spurred an enthusiastic reaction from the XRP community, leading to speculation and investment interest. Comments following his announcement range from assertions of Ripples stocks and XRP as a must-hold to enthusiastic declarations of immi...

Balaji Srinivasans $1 Million Bitcoin Bet: Was There A Method To The Madness? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

This is an opinion editorial by Ivan Serrano, a growth marketer and business consultant.

In the cryptocurrency world, bold bets and outrageous predictions are not uncommon. And yet, Balaji Srinivasan, a prominent and occasionally-controversial figure in crypto and tech, made major finance headlines when he announced a daring wager that bitcoin would reach a staggering $1 million per coin within 90 days.

The Bitcoin and larger crypto community immediately began analyzing what drove him to make such a daring statement. Srinivasan predicted this on March 17, 2023 when bitcoin was trading at $26,000 in the middle of a bearish market. The terms of the bet stated that if the bitcoin price did not reach $1 million by June 17, 2023, he would pay out $1 million to the other party, Twitter pundit James Medlock. The bet would settle in USDC stablecoin. Srinivasan estimated the odds at forty to one.

Many were skeptical about the pronouncement, calling it clout chasing, a marketing ploy and even a pump-and-dump scheme. Swan Bitcoin co-founder Cory Klippsten brought up Srinivasan's history of promoting altcoins, which earned him the ire of Bitcoin Maximalists. Many in the crypto world were dumbfounded yet intrigued enough to investigate what made him take the bet and whether he would be good for the money if he were to lose.

Along with his audacious prediction, Srinivasan talked about the Federal Reserve's money printing and dollar devaluation. He warned against the Fed's rate hikes, saying they weren't anti-inflation but...

Crypto Market Sees Liquidations Over $260 Million Amid Bitcoins Leap Above $30,000 "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

A few hours after Bitcoin scaled the $30,000 mark, the global crypto market has been rocked by substantial liquidations. The past 24 hours alone have seen a drastic exodus of more than $260 million from the crypto market. This significant upheaval underlines the high-stakes, volatile nature of digital currency trading.

Notably, traders currently at a loss despite the uptrend in the market are those that took short positions with the hope of the crypto market continuing a downward trend.

Sweeping Liquidation Wave Hits Crypto Traders

Data from Coinglass reveals that an estimated 65,392 traders and counting had their positions liquidated in the past 24 hours, amounting to cumulative losses above $269 million. This event underscores the risk in crypto trading, particularly during significant market shifts, such as Bitcoins recent surge beyond the $30,000 threshold.

Binance, a prominent player in the crypto exchange arena, accounted for the most significant slice of these liquidations, totaling $84.79 million. Other exchanges, including OKX with $69.53 million, Bybit with $37.9 million, and Huobi with $32.35 million, also recorded large liquidations.

While smaller exchanges also saw liquidations, their impact on the overall market was less severe. Notably, The liquidation wave impacted traders mainly holding short positions, reflecting the majoritys anticipation of a price decrease.

These traders bore the brunt of the liquidations, accounting for approximately 80.9% ($218.21 million). Simultaneously, traders holding long positions were not immune to the markets volatility, with liquidations amounting to nearly 20% of the total ($51.50 million).

This underscores that fluctuations in the crypto market can be equally detrimental to both ends of the trading spectrum. A stark illustration of this explosive situation came from Bitmex, where a single trader recorded a massive loss of $9.30 million in an XBTUSD swap, the largest single liquidation in this episode.

Market experts give the BlackRock ETF a high chance of approval. Remarkably, BlackRock has an approval ratio of 575:1, but the US Securities and Exchange Commissions (SEC) ratio when it comes to rejecting Bitcoin spot ETFs is just as clear: 33:0.

But because BlackRock has close ties to US regulators and Democratic politicians, there is room for an optimistic outlook on the likelihood of approval. As K33 Research writes in their latest market analysis, BlackRock is unlikely to spend time and resources if they do not see the chance of approval as very high.

Race For The First Bitcoin Spot ETF

Rumors have already emerged in recent days that BlackRocks ETF filing could be decided within days to weeks, NewsBTC reported. But what are the exact deadlines? The SECs regulations provide a clue.

The important thing to know here is that the deadlines for the SEC and its decision on the iShares Bitcoin Trust depend on when the application is published in the Federal Register for comments. Since this has not officially happened yet, there are only approximate estimates so far.

Nevertheless, K33 Research has drawn up a rough timeline based on the SECs deadlines. Theoretically, a decision can be reached within four time intervals, with the decision process following a scheme of anchored decision dates.

After publication of the application in the Federal Register, the SEC has 45 days in the first time interval to approve, reject or extend review of the ETF. Assuming the application is published in the Register on June 29, the SECs first deadline would be August 12, 2023. Similar inflection points occur 45 days later, 90 days later and 60 days later.

AVAX Breaches $13 Barrier With 16% Rally Whats The Next Price Level To Watch? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Avalanches native cryptocurrency, AVAX, experienced a significant breakthrough when it successfully surpassed a crucial barrier at $13. This obstacle had proven to be a significant challenge for AVAX bulls in the previous weeks, hindering their upward momentum.

However, drawing inspiration from Bitcoins impressive surge past the $30,000 mark, AVAX followed suit and decisively shattered this barrier. This remarkable achievement injected renewed optimism into the AVAX community and set the stage for potential further gains.

As the cryptocurrency world buzzes with anticipation, one cannot help but wonder: Will Avalanches AVAX continue its upward trajectory, surpassing even loftier milestones?

Indicators Suggest Potential Resistance For AVAX

AVAX registered a notable 6.3% surge within a 24-hour period, propelling its price to $13.19 according to CoinGecko

Additionally, the crypto exhibited an impressive 16% surge over the past seven days, signaling growing momentum. However, despite these positive developments, AVAX still faces potential hurdles in its upward trajectory.

According to the latest AVAX price report, the Relative Strength Index (RSI), a widely used indicator that tracks the balance between buying and selling pressure, has consistently remained below the 50-mark since April.

This suggests that selling pressure has dominated the market during this period. While Avalanche managed to overcome the earlier roadblock, the lingering presence of the RSI below 50 may indicate the potential for resistance as bullish trends encounter selling pressure.

On the other hand, the coins On Balance Volume (OBV) indicator initially experienced a decline but has since shown signs of recovery. The OBV measures the cumulative volume of AVAX traded over a given period, providing insights into the demand for the cryptocurrency.

Watch the Oldest Japanese Anime Film, Junichi Kuchis The Dull Sword (1917) "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

In 1981, the philosopher Mary Midgley argued against cultural relativism in an article titled Trying Out Ones New Sword. In it, she makes reference to a verb in classical Japanese which means to try out ones new sword on a chance wayfarer. (The word is tsujigiri, literally crossroads-cut.) A samurai sword had to be tried out because, if it was to work properly, it had to slice through someone at a single blow, from the shoulder to the opposite flank. Otherwise, the warrior bungled his stroke. This could injure his honor, offend his ancestors, and even let down his emperor. Those of us who feel unable to condemn this practice due to cultural distance have fallen victim, in Midgleys view, to moral isolationism.

One could object to Midgleys use of this particular example: the historical record doesnt suggest that tsujigiri was ever common practice, and certainly not that it was approved of by the wider society of feudal Japan. About half a century after the abolition of the samurai class in the eighteen-seventies, however, it does seem to have become the stuff of comedy.

When David Bowie Starred in The Elephant Man on Broadway (1980) "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Joseph Merrick, one of the most severely deformed individuals recorded in medical history, would hardly seem like the role David Bowie was born to play. The latter looked and acted as if destined for nineteen-seventies rock stardom; the former so horrified his fellow Victorians that he was exhibited under the name The Elephant Man. But whatever their outward differences, these Englishmen did both know fame, a condition Bowie rued alongside John Lennon in 1975. Yet in the following years he continued to expand his public profile, not least by turning to acting, and even came off as a viable movie star in Nicolas Roegs The Man Who Fell to Earth  not that playing a fragile but magnetic visitor from another world would have been much of a stretch.

In fact, it was The Man Who Fell to Earth that convinced theater director Jack Hofsiss to offer Bowie the lead in The Elephant Man, Bernard Pomerances play about the life of Joseph Merrick (referred to, in the script, as John Merrick). Hofsiss suspected that Bowie would understand Merricks sense of otherness and alienation, writes Louders Bill DeMain; he may or may not have known that Bowies experience studying mime, of which he made plenty of use in his concerts, would place him well to evoke the characters misshapen body.

And it completely BLEW MY MIND.

And I still love it all these years later!

What movie blew your mind the first time you saw it?

Check out what AskReddit users had to say.

Summer blockbuster.

Jurassic Park.

I loved how under wraps they kept the whole thing. You literally could not see what the dinosaurs looked like unless you paid for a ticket on release.

I remember a photo of Steven Spielberg in the paper posing with one of the dinosaurs and they completely blacked out the dinosaur. You only saw a tail for a brief second in the commercials.

And damn, when they show that first dinosaur and it rears up on its hind legs to get that high branch, I shrunk down in my seat a little. Had no idea what I was in for.

Was it a dream?

Spirited Away.

The feeling it left me with was like Id had an intense, vivid dream.

Saying No to the Hijab: The Growing Resistance in Iranian Universities "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Amidst ongoing protests against the Islamic Republic, students across several universities and colleges in Iran have demonstrated against persisting attempts by the Iranian government to strictly enforce its mandatory hijab laws.

Students at the Art University of Tehran engaged in a peaceful sit-in at the institutions National Garden campus to protest forced hijab rules and punishments for not wearing hijab in universities. Iranian security forces, including agents in plain clothes, arrived and arrested more than ten students and forced them into a van, with several other students detained for hours.

Some of the students apprehended by Iranian authorities were first-year students from other provinces in the country, who are so new to Tehran that they dont know how to return home after being released.

The Persian hashtag # (No) began trending on June 19th among Iranians on Twitter in a show of solidarity with the students. A group of students at the Art University also released a powerful statement after the attack on June 17th.

Trans Ban Wreaks Havoc on Spider-Verse: Arab Countries Snub Marvel Film "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Since its release, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse received critical acclaim from moviegoers and critics, grossing over $494.7 million and earning an average rating of 8.6/10 on Rotten Tomatoes. But even though the film was received well by fans and reviewers, one part of the world decided not to release the movie in its cinemas.

On June 15th, the United Arab Emirates announced they would no longer screen Across the Spider-Verse after the movie was initially set to be released in the Gulf region on June 22. The UAE Media Council announced its decision to ban the film last June 12th, saying that the agency "will not allow the circulation or publication of content contrary to the values and principles of the UAE and the standards of media content in force in the country."

While the media council of the United Arab Emirates did not elaborate on the reason for the ban, some suspect the film failed to meet the countrys censorship guidelines due to speculation that one of the main characters, Gwen Stacy or Spider-Gwen played by Hailee Steinfeld, was trans. Some also reported that the ban was connected to a scene in the trailer where a poster saying "Protect Trans Lives" was shown in Gwens bedroom.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a direct sequel of the 2018 animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which won an Oscar and Golden Globes award for being the Best Animated Feature Film. The film premiered last May 30th and was released in the United States on June 2nd.

A Ride to Hel: Poland's Bus 666 Takes an Unexpected Turn! "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Its Highway to Hel no more in Poland, as the operator of the bus thats in charge of the route going to a popular tourist site in the Eastern European country changed its number from 666 to 669.

PKS Gdynia, the local bus operator responsible for managing routes to the famous Polish town on the countrys Baltic coast, announced that its Bus 666 would no longer run to Hel and would run the route using the number 669 from June 24th.

Reports from Polish media said the bus operator was pressured to make the adjustment after conservative Christian groups protested against the route, pushing for the change in the routes number. However, PKS Gdynia was already considering returning to the older number due to public outcry.

In an update about the timetable for their buses, the employees of PKS Gdynia informed about the change on social media, where they said: This year, were turning the last 6 upside down! without providing more information on the change.

Krzysztof Nadolski reacted on the official Facebook page of the bus company and criticized the decision, saying that PKS Gdynia killed a brilliant marketing opportunity.

It was an advertisement for the whole world. I have read about line 666 on Hel many times on foreign sites. I am convinced tourists, who could probably have gone quicker by train, took the bus for fun. I dont know if the number was accidental or deliberate marketing, but it sure caught attention. Nadolski said.

According to the online Polish news portal Trojmiasto.pl, PKS Gdynia initially operated the line to Hel under the number 666, often associated with the Devil, as a local joke in 2006. But the stunt attracted riders from Poland and other countries. Some tourists who rode the bus simp...

Oh, boy, here we go again

Are yall ready to see whats going on here?

Read the story below to get all the details!

AITA for uninviting my parents to my wedding after my mom said I dont care about your f*cking wedding?

Im engaged to the love of my life. Well call her Sarah. Sarah doesnt have issues with my parents but there is a little tension on both sides and no one has attempted to be close, which is fine I guess. It makes me a little sad that they are not more excited about her.

Sarah asked my mom the other day if she would help make centerpieces. Sarah is into DIY but we are running out of time and she was asking around to see who would be willing to help.

She admitted to my mom that it was kind of grunt work and if she didnt want to, no pressure. My mom got offended and said of course she doesnt want to, we havent cared about her at all, so she doesnt care about our f*cking wedding. This hurt Sarah but she didnt fight back.

Sarah told me and I called my mom. Honestly I probably went into it a big aggressively, but I yelled at her for saying that to Sarah. My mom said that Sarah hasnt included her in any of the fun parts, or cared about her opinion on anything, so why would she help make centerpieces. I asked her to apologize...

Can Geometric Abstraction Stay Fresh? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

By the time I reviewed Don Voisines work in 2013, he was a veteran painter of geometric abstractions who was working with a hard-edged vocabulary and compositional format that centered a black form (rectangles, triangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids). Looking back through his work, I learned that in 1992 he began surrounding the black form with a border. In 1999, he introduced the diagonal into his work, adding another layer of tension between containment and expansion. Since then, he has expanded upon these possibilities while remaining devoted to his use of a single or double overlaid black form, hemmed in by parallel rectangles pressing in from either the paintings sides or the top and bottom.

Voisines paintings were precisely delineated compositions where everything was considered, from the use of matte and shiny paint to the direction of the brushstroke, the solidity or transparency of the overlaid planes, the interaction between the black forms and white spaces, and the relationship between the black and white interior and the colors and bands pressing in. The Top 5 Things Men Find Intimidating About Women "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

When it comes to relationships and interactions between men and women, both genders may experience moments of intimidation. While it is important to recognize that individuals preferences and perceptions can vary widely, this article aims to shed light on some common traits or characteristics that some men may find intimidating in women. It is crucial to remember that not all men share these sentiments, and personal experiences and societal expectations greatly influence these perceptions. So, lets explore some of the aspects that some men may find intimidating in women.

  1. Intelligence and Ambition

One of the most frequently cited qualities that men may find intimidating in women is intelligence and ambition. When a woman displays confidence and intellect, it can challenge traditional gender norms and threaten a mans ego. A highly successful and intelligent woman may inadvertently cause some men to feel insecure about their own achievements or capabilities. However, it is important to note that these perceptions are changing, and many men now actively seek ambitious and intelligent partners.

  1. Assertiveness and Independence

An assertive and independent woman can be seen as intimidating to some men who are accustomed to more submissive or dependent partners. A woman who knows what she wants and is unafraid to voice her opinions may challenge traditional power dynamics within a relationship. Men who feel overwhelmed by such assertiveness may feel emasculated or inadequate in comparison. However, it is essential to recognize that healthy relationships thrive on equality and mutual respect, embracing both partners independence.

  1. Physical Appearance

While it is crucial to emphasize that beauty is subjective and diverse, societal pressures and media influence can contribute to the perception that men find physically attractive women intimidating. The notion that certain physical traits are unattainable or intimidating can create insecurities in men. However, it is essential to remember that personal preferences vary significantly, and attractiveness encompasses much more than just physical appearance.

  1. Confidence and Self-Assuredness

Confidence is an attractive trait that both men and women appreciate. However, when a woman exudes an unwavering sense of confidence, it can intimidate some men who may feel less secure or unsure of themselves. A womans confidence can be perceived as a challenge to traditional gender roles or societal expectations, leading to discomfort in some men. Nevertheless, confidence should be celebrated and encouraged in both genders, as it is a vital aspect of personal growth and success.

  1. Emotional Independence

Harrison Ford Fights Back Tears After Interviewer Thanks Him for 40 Years of Indiana Jones "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Harrison Ford Fights Back Tears After Interviewer Thanks Him for 40 Years of Indiana Jones

Harrison Ford

Photo: shumovdenis/Depositphotos

Harrison Ford is known for playing no-nonsense, hard-faced action heroes in film sagas such as Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Off-screen, the actor himself is known for sharing an equally measured personality. That's why it almost came as a surprise when he nearly broke down during a recent interview with BBC Radio 1. The 80-year-old actor was talking about his latest film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, when a message from interviewer Ali Plumb pulled on Ford's heartstrings.

When asked about the legacy of Indiana Jones and why it meant so much to many people going into the fifth and final movie, Ford selflessly attributes it to the talents of screenwriters and directors and actors that have poured their hearts and souls into it. The actor went on to share his admiration for the saga's mixture of adventure, humor, and heart. This last one concerns age and frailty and changing nature of life, he says. It was especially compelling to me, because I am of that age, and I wanted it to feel real for the audience. I wanted them to see the complexity of that experience with someone they spent 40 years with.

Before the interview wraps up, Plumb takes a moment to thank Ford for his work. Can I just say, on behalf of all the fans, thank you, the interviewer tells the actor. It's been such an adventure. We love you so much. As Ford begins to look moved, Plumb adds, I don't mean to make you blush or anything, but you mean the world to us, and thank you. Thats all I had to say.

Ford is deeply touched, and he fights back tears as he looks for the words to reply to Plumb. And I must say to you, thank you, sincerely. It means the world to me.

The Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny release cycle has been full of heartfelt tributes to Fo...

Removing Fun Stuff From Room Is She Wrong for Taking the Fun Stuff From Her Moms House and Leaving It at Her Dads? People Responded.

Its always hard for kids to navigate the world after their parents get divorced.

Especially when you have to deal with new step siblings.

And that brings us to todays story!

Was this girl rude for what she decided to do with her belongings because her stepsister was driving her nuts?

Check out her story below

AITA for removing the fun stuff from my room at my moms and leaving it at my dads because my stepsister sleeps in there when Im with my dad?

My parents are divorced. I split my time 50/50 between both houses. My mom has been remarried for a number of years now and has three stepkids. Two boys who are younger and a girl the same age as me.

She and I got along so badly that the custody times were switched so we were not in the house at the same time because we could not get along. It all started with her taking my favorite plush animal without permission and ruining it (the eyes were gone and it got soaked which ruined the color).

When I told her she shouldnt have taken it she made it her mission to take my stuff without asking and rarely had any consequences for it because I was told to share. Some of the stuff was fine but other stuff got ruined too.

When my mom told me that she would...

Community Helps Buy a Car for Beloved School Custodian Who Walked Hours to Get to Work "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Community Helps Buy a Car for Beloved School Custodian Who Walked Hours to Get to Work

Mr. Troy, a school custodian who got a new car thanks to a fundraiser

Photo: GoFundMe

When a valued member of a community is in need, it's always inspiring to see people rally around them and come to their rescue. This is exactly what happened for Troy Henderson, a custodian at Fillmore Elementary in Oklahoma City. After his car broke down, he began walking to and from worka round trip of about five hours from his home in the city of Moore. When news of his situation got out, the school's principal started a fundraiser to get Henderson a new car.

Known for his positive attitude and for being a hard worker, the beloved custodian (often referred to as Mr. Troy) has been a favorite of both students and staff. When his car first broke down, he managed to get a ride for a week or so, but that quickly stopped. Not everybody wants to get up at five o'clock in the morning to bring you to work, Henderson told News9. I was like, I'm going to work, regardless. I got to be here for the kids.

Determined to not miss a single day at the school, he figured how to make it there on time each day. I did not wish to miss any work, I like what I do and so I wanted to make sure that I was here, he told FOX25. And so he began walking. It's probably about a two-hour, two-hour 15-minute walk, he explained.

After learning about what Henderson had to do to get there, Cindy Lang, the school principal launched a...

Ancient Maya City Discovered in Mexican Jungle "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

On Mexicos southern Gulf coast, a team of archaeologists uncovered an Ancient Maya city deep in the jungle of the Campeche State. The researchers think the site served as an important population center in the period from 250 CE until the Classic Maya civilizations decline around 900 CE. Mexicos National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) announced the findings yesterday, June 20.

The ruins are dispersed throughout 125 acres of dense vegetation inside the Balamk ecological reserve, where other Ancient Maya settlements have been uncovered in the past. The University of Houstons National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping charted the thickly forested area in March with a LiDAR laser scan. A large cluster of ruins emerged on an extended hilltop surrounded by wetlands.

From May through June, archaeologists led by Ivan prajc of the Research Center of the...

The Films That Presaged Our AI Future "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Sci-fi and cyberpunk lovers should gear up for July 1, when a collection of films exploring the use of artificial intelligence over the last 50 years will debut on the streaming service Criterion Channel. With release years from 1974 to 2021, the 16 live-action and animated films in the collection peel back the layers of paranoia, mystification, and idealized futures that surround the integration of AI into both daily life and imagined superhuman universes.

These features are especially relevant as open-source AI programs quickly emerge across dozens of industries, often with limited regulations. From generative image tools like DALL-E 2 and Midjourney to the newly released text-generator ChatGPT, AI has become widely useful or at least entertaining to those with access. The concept...

A Poets Almost Obscene Devotion to Beauty "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

The title of Ral Gmez Jattins poem collection Almost Obscene (2022) is already a provocation. If former Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewarts 1964 maxim about obscenity (I know it when I see it) still holds, obscenity relies on literal or figurative visuality something (sex, filth) coming onto the scene which should be kept from view. Yet, Stewarts quip also reveals another important aspect of obscenity: It involves a when. Considered along this temporal axis, its difficult to think of obscenity as having a terminus, a place where it ends, a hard boundary beyond which it doesnt exist. In this sense, almostness seems constitutive of obscenity, the way it is on the verge of something of being seen, of being pushed f...

Actually for me it was around 35, because I like banging my head into a wall, but others started realizing earlier than me.

Everyone I knew started realizing that all of the things I thought were cool when we were 20 were actually really, really dumb and unimportant and werent interested in them anymore. And Im not even married or have kids, I cant imagine how stupid the s**t I was into would seem if I had a family.

Waterfalls Spill Across the Dramatically Lush Landscapes of the Faroe Islands "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

A waterfall gushes over a rocky landscape

All images Jennifer Esseiva, shared with permission

Steep cliffs, narrow passes, waterfalls, and wide, sloping hills are fixtures among the ocean bound landscapes of the Faroe Islands. The archipelago in the North Atlantic is a cluster of 18 individual islands, a few of which Swiss photographer Jennifer Esseiva (previously) visited last April. On Vgar and Kasloy, she documented the dramatic vistas, peering out from summits and across vast swaths of land and sea.

Esseiva shares that reaching her destinations required a significant amount of hiking, made extra difficult due to intense wind and rain. She explains:

The rain comes in whenever it wants, often accompanied by a strong wind! Were in a wild environment where the weather changes rapidlySuffering from vertigo, this trip was a real challenge for me, especially on the island of Kalsoy. On its northern tip is the small lighthouse of Kallur, nestled in a spicy setting and surrounded by sheer cliffs. The best photographic compositions require you to get close to the cliffs, which are battered by the wind.

In the coming weeks, Esseiva plans to share photos from Eysturoy and Streymoy islands, so keep an eye on Instagram for updates.  Prints are available on Etsy.

Ten new works and commissions as well as installations, performances, and musical and cinematic experiences will transform the museum into a space for listening, gathering, improvising, and exploring.

Now in its 14th year, the Audubon Photography Awards spotlights the professionals, amateurs, and youth that create incredible visuals of birds. The recently announced winners of the 2023 edition were selected from 2,200 entrants living in all 50 U.S. states and eight Canadian provinces.

In the end, wildlife photographer Liron Gertsman took home the grand prize. The Canadian photographer, who has a biology degree and leads photography tours across Canada, won for his touching portrait of two rock pigeons. About two-thirds, or 389 species, of birds native to North America are at risk of extinction due to the effects of the climate crisis. Rising global temperatures are predicted to force adaption or migration to new territories, two consequences of human-caused change that imperil avian survival. Some of the most threatened species include the dunlin, shorteared owl, and Baltimore oriole, all of which are featured in this years Audubon Photography Awards.

Selected from 2,200 entries, the winners of the 2023 contest spotlight a mix of avian antics. A rock pigeon sweetly grooms a mate, a reddish egret snaps up a tiny fish, and a chinstrap penguin dive into frigid Antarctic waters. While not all species photographed are in immediate danger, the images together showcase birds vast diversity and its potential loss amid climate disaster.

Wonder-Sighting on Planet Earth: The Space Telescope Eye of the Scallop "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Inside Earths most alien vision.

The Eye altering alters all, William Blake wrote not long before Darwin extolled the eye as the crown jewel of evolution an organ of such wonderful structure and inimitable perfection that it magnetizes us to the mystery of life itself. In On the Origin of Species, he began a section titled Organs of Extreme Perfection and Complication with a love letter to the eye:

To suppose that the eye, with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest possible degree. Yet reason tells me, that if numerous gradations from a perfect and complex eye to one very imperfect and simple, each grade being useful to its possessor, can be shown to exist; if further, the eye does vary ever so slightly, and the variations be inherited, which is certainly the case; and if any variation or modification in the organ be ever useful to an animal under changing conditions of life, then the difficulty of believing that a perfect and complex eye could be formed by natural selection, though insuperable by our imagination, can hardly be considered real. How a nerve comes to be sensitive to light, hardly concerns us more than how life itself first originated.

But marvelous as our own human eyes may be, they are far from the crowning curio of the animal kingdom. The honor might belong to a creature much lower on the evolutionary ladder of sentience. (Never say higher or lower, Darwin exhorted himself in the margins of a book. Say more complicated.)

The bay scallop (Argopecten irradians), older than Homo sapiens by some 200 million years, sees with 200 eyes the color of Uranus bright blueberries bejeweling the ridges of its rippled shell, each equipped with not one but two retinae, containing threefold as many opsins the light-sensitive proteins in photoreceptor cells, tasked with converting light into electrochemical signals as ours.

Virginia Woolfs Forgotten Diary "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Virginia Woolf, wearing a fur stole. Public domain, courtesy of wikimedia commons.

On August 3, 1917, Virginia Woolf wrote in her diary for the first time in two yearsa small notebook, roughly the size of the palm of her hand. It was a Friday, the start of the bank holiday, and she had traveled from London to Asheham, her rented house in rural Sussex, with her husband, Leonard. For the first time in days, it had stopped raining, and so she walked out from Lewes. There were men mending the wall & roof of the house, and Will, the gardener, had dug up the bed in front, leaving only one dahlia. Finally, bees in attic chimney.

It is a stilted beginning, and yet with each entry, her diary gains in confidence. Soon, Woolf establishes a pattern. First, she notes the weather, and her walkto the post, or to fetch the milk, or up onto the Downs. There, she takes down the number of mushrooms she findsalmost a record find, or enough for a dishand of the insects she has seen: 3 perfect peacock butterflies, 1 silver washed frit; besides innumerable blues feeding on dung. She notices butterflies in particular: painted ladies, clouded yellows, fritillaries, blues. She is blas in her records of natures more gruesome sightsthe spine & red legs of a bird, just devoured by a hawk, or a chicken in a parcel, found dead in the nettles, head wrung off. There is human violence, too. From the tops of the Downs, she listens to the guns as they sound from France, and watches German prisoners at work in the fields, who use a great brown jug for their tea. Home again, and she reports any visitors, or whether she has done gardening or reading or sewing. Lastly, she makes a note about rationing, taking stock of the larder: eggs 2/9 doz. From Mrs Attfield, or sausages here come in.

Though Woolf, then thirty-five, shared the lease of Asheham with her sister, the painter Vanessa Bell (who went there for weekend parties), for her, the house had always been a place for convalescence. Following her marriage to Leonard in 1912, she entered a long tunnel of illnessa series of breakdowns during which she refused to eat, talked wildly, and attempted suicide. She spent long periods at a nursing home in Twickenham before being brought to Asheham with a nurse to recover. At the house, Leonard presided over a strict routine, in which Virginia was p...

Thousands of Bees Work With Artist on Incredible Embroidery Art

Bee Collaboration Art by Ava Roth

Over the past decade, Toronto-based artist Ava Roth has been making art with some unusual helpersbees. While it sounds unconventional, this inter-species collaboration explores the relationship between humans and nature. Wooden frames with collages and embroidery are embellished with an abundance of golden honeycomb, highlighting the beauty that can come from this partnership.

Roth relies on organic and local materials for these unique pieces, such as foraged wood, birch bark, foliage, and horsehair. This work begins in my studio with the creation of encaustic collages which are suspended in embroidery hoops, Roth explains. The hoops are then fixed to custom-made Langstroth hive frames, and placed inside honeybee hives where thousands of bees embed the work in comb.

As her project has developed over the years, the designs of these frames have become more intricate. Sometimes, the bees fill circular spaces left in the wood, while other times they are given rectangles and even more abstract shapes. The natural look of the honeycombwhich sometimes spills over into Roth's handiwork or escapes the framemakes these works look alive, as though they are a part of the environment.

You can purchase Roth's mixed media art through her website and keep up to date with her via Instagram.

A New Twist to Your Coffee: The Benefits of Adding Baking Soda "IndyWatch Feed Health"

Coffee is loved globally for its tantalizing aroma and the invigorating kick it provides. However, this cherished beverage is known to be acidic, with a pH of around 5, leading to an uncomfortable reaction in those with sensitive stomachs or specific health conditions, such as acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) [1].

But what if there were a simple pantry ingredient capable of toning down this acidity while improving coffees overall flavor profile? This article explores the magic that happens when you add baking soda to coffee.

The Science Behind Coffees Acidity and the Role of Baking Soda

Coffee beans inherently contain various acids that give the beverage its distinct flavor. Some of these acids, such as chlorogenic acids, may even have beneficial health effects like antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties [2]. However, an excessive amount can upset the stomach and lead to acid reflux, heartburn, and indigestion [3].

Thats where baking soda comes into play. This ubiquitous kitchen ingredient, also known as sodium bicarbonate, is an alkaline substance. When it interacts with the acids found in coffee, it slightly alters the drinks pH, making it less acidic. This trick doesnt eliminate the acid completely we wouldnt want that because its what makes coffee taste like coffee. But the addition of just a tiny bit of baking soda can offer multiple benefits.

Destiny: Dr. Andrew Gallimore, Alien Information Theory "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

Since prehistory, humans have used a range of psychedelic drugs for communion with the gods, connection with nature, or for the pure pleasure and wonder they generate as they transform the mind and the world. But one natural psychedelic in particular towers above the rest in its astonishing power to replace the normal waking world with a bizarre alternate reality replete with a diverse panoply of intelligent alien beings. As well as being the most powerful, N,N-dimethyltryptamine, more commonly known as DMT, is also the most common naturally-occurring psychedelic and can be found in countless plant species scattered across the Earth. DMT carries a profound message embedded in our reality, a message that we are now beginning to decode. In Alien Information Theory, neurobiologist, chemist, and pharmacologist, Dr. Andrew R. Gallimore, explains how DMT provides the secret to the very structure of our reality, and how our Universe can be likened to a cosmic game that we now find ourselves playing. Gallimore explains how our reality was constructed using a fundamental code which generated our Universe and countless others as a digital device built from pure information with the purpose of enabling conscious intelligences, such as ourselves, to emerge. You will learn how fundamental digital information self-organises and complexifies to generate the myriad complex forms and organisms that fill our world; how your brain constructs your subjective world and how psychedelic drugs alter the structure of this world; how DMT switches the reality channel by allowing the brain to access information from normally hidden orthogonal dimensions of reality. And, finally, you will learn how DMT provides the secret to exiting our Universe permanently to complete the cosmic game and to become interdimensional citizens of hyperspace.Alien Information Theory is a unique account of this hidden structure of reality and our place within it, drawing on a diverse range of disciplines -- including neuroscience, computer science, physics, and pharmacology -- to carefully explain these complex ideas, which are illustrated with full-colour diagrams throughout.

Dr. Andrew Gallimore is a computational neurobiologist, pharmacologist, chemist, and writer who has been interested in the neural basis of psychedelic drug action for many years and is the author of a number of articles and research papers on the powerful psychedelic drug, N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT) and its effects on the brain and consciousness. In 2015, he collaborated with DMT pioneer Dr. Rick Strassman, author of DMT: The Spirit Molecule, to develop a pharmacokinetic model of DMT as the basis of a target-controlled intravenous infusion protocol for extended journeys in the bizarre worlds to which DMT gates access. His current interests focus on DMT and other psychedelic molecules as tool for gating access to otherwise inaccessible subjective worlds, their neuroscientific underpinning, and their possible...

Monumental Installation Uses 804 Trees To Create an Untenable Version of Home

Uprooted by Doris Salcedo

The phrase putting down roots is likely familiar to anyone looking for a permanent place to call home. In deciding to root ourselves in a location, we have the benefit of building a community and flourishing; home is one thing you dont have to search for anymore. Its just one reason why being displaced from where you live is so traumatic. Colombian artist Doris Salcedo explores this idea in her large-scale installation titled Uprooted.

In the monumental Uprooted, Salcedo built a house using 804 dead trees and steel. The trees comprise the exterior of the structure, their bare branches creating walls that lack doors, windows, and proper protection. We can see between them and into the interior, making it an uneven and untenable place to live.

Uprooted is meant to be uninhabitable. Salcedos use of withered trees, arranged in a recognizable structure, communicates an irreparable loss. This can be assigned in multiple ways, particularly through the invasion and continued assault on Ukraine by Russia. But it also speaks to the climate crisis and how devastating natural events are making some areas unlivable.

Uprooted was recently on view in Sharjah Biennial 15: Thinking Historically in the Present in the United Arab Emirates.

Help stop another bad vaccine bill in the New Jersey Legislature! "IndyWatch Feed Food"

New Jersey Legislative Bill A. 5493 would require metrics for assessing nursing home operations to include a requirement for nursing homes to report the number of residents who have received Covid-19 and annual flu shots.

This bill revises the requirements for taking action against low-performing nursing homes to include sanctions.  It will put pressure on nursing homes to have their residents vaccinated even if those residents do not wish to receive vaccines.

Specifically, the bill requires the Department of Health (DOH) to develop standards in three categories encompassing:

  • the physical well-being of residents
  • the mental well-being of residents
  • the nursing homes operational metrics

The Weston A. Price Foundation is opposed to the section that requires the metrics for assessing operations to include the number of residents who receive SARS-CoV-2 and seasonal influenza shots.

We do not take a position on other sections of the bill that do not relate to vaccines.

AB 5493 was introduced and referred to the Assembly Health Committee on 5/11/2023. It is sponsored by Assemblywoman Angela McKnight

Please speak up!

TAKE ACTION

  1. Contact your two New Jersey state Assembly Members and urge them to oppose A. 5493.

Hi, my name is ____ and I am a constituent.  I am calling to ask Assembly Member ____ to oppose A. 5493, which would pressure nursing homes to administer Covid and influenza shots to their residents to avoid sanctions.

Excess Deaths, Turbo-Cancer and the Covid Inquiry Sham "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Great to have John O'Looney back with us to discuss the ongoing effects of the mass jab experiment. John has been in the funeral business for 16 years and his on the ground engagement with bereaved families gives us an insight into excess deaths. He joins us to give an update on what life has been like over the last twelve months and shares what he is currently seeing, and that is an alarming rise in the amount of people dying from cancer, especially younger people. He gives us his thoughts on the Covid Inquiry that has just started in Westminster (spoiler...he would call it the Covid cover up or Covid sham). And we touch on his recent suspension from Twitter, John must be the only Funeral director banned from Musk's platform of 'Free Speech'! Madness. John OLooney has been a funeral director in the UK for over 15 years, and with his family they run a successful business in Milton Keynes. John started noticing things were not right in late November 2019 when he saw a 'blow-up pandemic mortuary' in a local hospital which he was told was set up in preparation for 'something really horrible coming'. In 2021, as the vaccines rolled out, he was witness to a spike of unusual deaths, and while his peers and colleagues in the industry kept quiet, John bravely spoke out and questioned the narrative. Horowitz: Confidential Pfizer document shows the company observed 1.6 million adverse events covering nearly every organ system "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Over 10,000 categories of nearly 1.6 million adverse events many of them serious and debilitating brought to you by Pfizer! You might not have heard it in the news, but in recent months, Pfizers pharmacovigilance documents requested by the European Unions drug regulator, the European Medicines Agency, have been released. They show that Pfizer knew about a sickening level of injury early on. An August 2022 document shows that the company already had observed the following scope of vaccine injury:
  • 508,351 individual case reports of adverse events containing 1,597,673 events;
  • One-third of the AEs were classified as serious, well above the standard for safety signals usually pegged at 15%;
  • Women reported AEs at three times the rate of men;
  • 60% of cases were reported with either outcome unknown or not recovered, so many of the injuries were not transient;
Highest number of cases occurred in the 31-50 year age group, and 92% did not have any comorbidities, which makes it very likely it was the vaccine causing such widespread, sudden injury. These numbers alone suggest that all COVID shots should be defunded and Congress must immediately remove liability protections from the manufacturers. But a more recent document released by the Europeans is even more devastating, because it breaks down the 1.6 million adverse events observed by Pfizer by category and subcategory of ailment and injury. The Fed Has Rigged the Stock Markets to Crash "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

This article was originally published by Mike Holly at The Mises Institute.

The conditions have now aligned for a repeat of the major stock market crashes that have occurred since the founding of the US Federal Reserve Bank (Fed) in 1913. Considering their vast experience and resources, the Fed has to know that their plan to control inflation by raising interest rates rapidly and significantly since 2022, and also tightening credit this year, will likely result in another major crash. Although the Fed has issued vague warnings about the impending pain on the stock market and economy, they have not explained how and why they will again wipe out trillions of dollars of wealth of unsuspecting investors.

As Marty Zweig, a successful Wall Street investment adviser known for data studies, warned, Dont fight the Fed, because the central bank largely controls the direction of the stock markets. Generally, the major stock market booms start with the Fed stimulating slow economic growth by lowering interest rates, often while the government increases deficit spending. As Austrian business cycle theory predicts, this results in asset price inflation (e.g., stocks, houses, etc.), and sometimes also consumer price inflation. The major busts result when the Fed seeks to control inflation by raising interest rates significantly, while the government reduces deficit spending.

The following graphs demonstrate the strong inverse relationship between the Dow stock market index and interest rates largely set by the Fed (i.e., stock values inflate when interest rates are lower and deflate when higher). The top graph from Macrotrends shows the Dow Jones stock market index on a logarithmic scale and adjusted for todays dollars over time. The bottom graph from the Fed shows interest rates over the same time. These graphs can be used to locate the major stock market cycles and analyze the effects of interest rates along with deficit spending in causing booms and busts.

Treat employees with respect.

Respect employees time, whether it be on the clock or especially off the clock.

Do not attempt to illegally stop employees from exercising their rights as workers. You do not own your employees.

Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Always offer proper compensation for work done and do not insult people with half hearted attempts at praising good work done. We DONT want your pizza party.

Off the top of my head thats all I got at the moment

To be fair, some of these do take talent. Like not everyone has the gift of having a great attitude, or faking a good attitude. Especially when theyre being treated like garbage.

And the same for body language. Especially considering that sometimes body language is ridiculously misconstrued.

Like I have difficulty making eye contact, which sometimes people think makes me look untrustworthy. Not everyone can fake body language.

The fury of this scammer given a taste of their own medicine is simply magnificent "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

Theres nothing more satisfying than seeing a scammer being given a taste of their own medicine, and it doesnt come much more epic or satisfying than this.

Scammer Watches $455K Vanish After Wasting 1 Year, said Kitboga over on Reddit.

One year! And their reaction is a fabulously funny watch.

TriPawrus

The legend himself! I watched your whole video where you were the grandma and you cashed in the fake gift cards to buy the nice scammer wedding presents and I nearly died laughing. Every time he screamed and cried I just loved it even more. Sublime.

Learn How to Draw Your Favorite People in This Beginner-Friendly Online Class

Melissa de Nobrega Portrait Drawing

There are some types of art that feel impossible to do, and portrait drawing is certainly one of them. The subject matter requires you to consider a lot of factors, from facial expressions to anatomical proportions. Plus, everything has to work together to capture a person's likeness. If youve always wanted to draw your favorite people (or your self-portrait), get a crash course in it with the help of illustrator Melissa de Nobrega.

De Nobrega teaches the online class Portrait Drawing for Beginners: Learn How to Draw Anyone Youd Like. It's a comprehensive look at how to draw one of the most complex subjectsthe human face. Over nearly two hours, she will break down general facial structure through bite-size lessons. De Nobrega will also show how to plot facial guidelines, sketch using contour lines, and then complete the portrait. Best of all, her instructions are universal to portrait drawing and can be applied to anyone.

Students love the class structure. The anatomy part was very instructive, one reviewer writes. I like how simple it remained, while giving a good understanding of the humans face features. Another excellent part was to be able to follow along with the teacher. I was trying on my own at first, and then comparing with what the teacher was doing. It helped me pinpoint what I was doing wrong.

Enroll in Portrait Drawing for Beginners: Learn How to Draw Anyone Youd Like only on My Modern Met Academy, our e-learning platform.

Trump being told his policies would have executed a woman he boasted about saving is quite the watch "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

There was no shortage of memorable moments from Donald Trumps Fox News interview with Bret Baier and well be honest we didnt think it would get better than this moment in which Baier all of Trumps insults back to him.

And yet .. we think its just been eclipsed by this exchange in which Trump boasts about granting a full pardon to Alice Johnson, a Tennessee woman who was given a life sentence for a first time drug offence.

Baier had some news for Trump though, and what followed is quite the watch.

Incredible scenes!

And here are just a few of the many things people said about it.

A Trump-appointed judge granted Hunter Biden a plea deal and the GOP is furious 14 favourite reactions "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

Hunter Biden, son of Joe Biden, has admitted to tax misdemeanours and illegally possessing a gun while a drug user. He is believed to have agreed to undertake treatment for his addiction and to be monitored by authorities in a deal which is expected to keep him from serving a custodial sentence.

After obsessing about his laptop for years, youd think Trump supporters would be pleased that the Presidents son was facing charges. They are not.

Speaker McCarthy implied vindictiveness in the Trump indictment again.

Of course, Truth Social heard all about it in capslock.

Its even more ironic when you realise who was in charge of the case.

Gino DAcampo threw epic Schofield shade on This Morning and basically everything ground to a halt "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

You might remember a sub plot of the saga of Phillip Schofields departure from This Morning was when the programmes editor referred to aubergines when asked about allegations of a toxic work environment on the show.

One MP later said the comment was outrageously dismissive and flippant on camera about an immensely serious issue and ITV bosses said it was extremely ill-judged.

And anyway, we mention it again because it was clearly at the forefront of Gino DAcampos mind when he returned to the show on Monday and the look on Dermot OLearys face says it all.

Glistening glazes highlight voluptuous lips and cheeky grimaces in ceramics by Tatiana Cardona, who runs the shop Female Alchemy (previously). Based in Miami, the artist draws on a love for vibrant colors with an emphasis on pinks and reds, creating functional sculptures embellished with expressive facial features. Inspired by the feminist movement in the 1960s and 1970s when donning bright red lipstick was used as a form of protest, she focuses on creating lively objects that are as empowering as they are enjoyable.

Cardona regularly collaborates with well-known brands like Adidas and Fenty Beauty, and she tells Colossal that she is excited to begin exploring and experimenting with new themes. She occasionally releases batches of new work on her website, and you can follow updates on Instagram.

The Scars of Ali Boulala Film ber die Skaterlegende Ali Boulala "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

The Tarot Card Deck Created by Salvador Dal "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

The Tarot has long been a tool of charlatans. But it has also long been embraced by brilliant, unconventional thinkers, many of whom themselves have a touch of the charlatan about them (and who would just as likely admit it with a smile). William Butler Yeats was a fan, as is visionary Chilean filmmaker, artist, writer, and psychonaut Alejandro Jodorowsky, who has recorded his own Youtube series explaining his take on this classic mode of divination. With its archetypal symbolism, the Tarots appeal to artists should be obvious. Most of them, like Jodorowsky, find far more interesting uses for it than fortune-telling. You must not talk about the future, Jodorowsky tells us in his series, the future is a con. The tarot is a language that talks about the present.

What might another visionary artist, Salvador Dal, think of Jodorowskys Tarot interpretations? Well never know, but I suspect he would find them enchanting. Not only do the two seem like kindred spirits, but Dal devoted some part of his life to the Tarot, designing his own deck in the 70s.
