Virginia Woolfs Forgotten Diary "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Photograph of Virginia Woolf with hand on face wearing a fur stole. Public domain, courtesy of wikimedia commons.

On August 3, 1917, Virginia Woolf wrote in her diary for the first time in two yearsa small notebook, roughly the size of the palm of her hand. It was a Friday, the start of the bank holiday, and she had traveled from London to Asheham, her rented house in rural Sussex, with her husband, Leonard. For the first time in days, it had stopped raining, and so she walked out from Lewes. There were men mending the wall & roof of the house, and Will, the gardener, had dug up the bed in front, leaving only one dahlia. Finally, bees in attic chimney.

It is a stilted beginning, and yet with each entry, her diary gains in confidence. Soon, Woolf establishes a pattern. First, she notes the weather, and her walkto the post, or to fetch the milk, or up onto the Downs. There, she takes down the number of mushrooms she findsalmost a record find, or enough for a dishand of the insects she has seen: 3 perfect peacock butterflies, 1 silver washed frit; besides innumerable blues feeding on dung. She notices butterflies in particular: painted ladies, clouded yellows, fritillaries, blues. She is blas in her records of natures more gruesome sightsthe spine & red legs of a bird, just devoured by a hawk, or a chicken in a parcel, found dead in the nettles, head wrung off. There is human violence, too. From the tops of the Downs, she listens to the guns as they sound from France, and watches German prisoners at work in the fields, who use a great brown jug for their tea. Home again, and she reports any visitors, or whether she has done gardening or reading or sewing. Lastly, she makes a note about rationing, taking stock of the larder: eggs 2/9 doz. From Mrs Attfield, or sausages here come in.

Though Woolf, then thirty-five, shared the lease of Asheham with her sister, the pai...

Thousands of Bees Work With Artist on Incredible Embroidery Art

Bee Collaboration Art by Ava Roth

Over the past decade, Toronto-based artist Ava Roth has been making art with some unusual helpersbees. While it sounds unconventional, this inter-species collaboration explores the relationship between humans and nature. Wooden frames with collages and embroidery are embellished with an abundance of golden honeycomb, highlighting the beauty that can come from this partnership.

Roth relies on organic and local materials for these unique pieces, such as foraged wood, birch bark, foliage, and horsehair. This work begins in my studio with the creation of encaustic collages which are suspended in embroidery hoops, Roth explains. The hoops are then fixed to custom-made Langstroth hive frames, and placed inside honeybee hives where thousands of bees embed the work in comb.

As her project has developed over the years, the designs of these frames have become more intricate. Sometimes, the bees fill circular spaces left in the wood, while other times they are given rectangles and even more abstract shapes. The natural look of the honeycombwhich sometimes spills over into Roth's handiwork or escapes the framemakes these works look alive, as though they are a part of the environment.

You can purchase Roth's mixed media art through her website and keep up to date with her via Instagram.

Destiny: Dr. Andrew Gallimore, Alien Information Theory "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

Since prehistory, humans have used a range of psychedelic drugs for communion with the gods, connection with nature, or for the pure pleasure and wonder they generate as they transform the mind and the world. But one natural psychedelic in particular towers above the rest in its astonishing power to replace the normal waking world with a bizarre alternate reality replete with a diverse panoply of intelligent alien beings. As well as being the most powerful, N,N-dimethyltryptamine, more commonly known as DMT, is also the most common naturally-occurring psychedelic and can be found in countless plant species scattered across the Earth. DMT carries a profound message embedded in our reality, a message that we are now beginning to decode. In Alien Information Theory, neurobiologist, chemist, and pharmacologist, Dr. Andrew R. Gallimore, explains how DMT provides the secret to the very structure of our reality, and how our Universe can be likened to a cosmic game that we now find ourselves playing. Gallimore explains how our reality was constructed using a fundamental code which generated our Universe and countless others as a digital device built from pure information with the purpose of enabling conscious intelligences, such as ourselves, to emerge. You will learn how fundamental digital information self-organises and complexifies to generate the myriad complex forms and organisms that fill our world; how your brain constructs your subjective world and how psychedelic drugs alter the structure of this world; how DMT switches the reality channel by allowing the brain to access information from normally hidden orthogonal dimensions of reality. And, finally, you will learn how DMT provides the secret to exiting our Universe permanently to complete the cosmic game and to become interdimensional citizens of hyperspace.Alien Information Theory is a unique account of this hidden structure of reality and our place within it, drawing on a diverse range of disciplines -- including neuroscience, computer science, physics, and pharmacology -- to carefully explain these complex ideas, which are illustrated with full-colour diagrams throughout.

Dr. Andrew Gallimore is a computational neurobiologist, pharmacologist, chemist, and writer who has been interested in the neural basis of psychedelic drug action for many years and is the author of a number of articles and research papers on the powerful psychedelic drug, N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT) and its effects on the brain and consciousness. In 2015, he collaborated with DMT pioneer Dr. Rick Strassman, author of DMT: The Spirit Molecule, to develop a pharmacokinetic model of DMT as the basis of a target-controlled intravenous infusion protocol for extended journeys in the bizarre worlds to which DMT gates access. His current interests focus on DMT and other psychedelic molecules as tool for gating access to otherwise inaccessible subjective worlds, their neuroscientific underpinning, and their possible...

Monumental Installation Uses 804 Trees To Create an Untenable Version of Home "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Monumental Installation Uses 804 Trees To Create an Untenable Version of Home

Uprooted by Doris Salcedo

The phrase putting down roots is likely familiar to anyone looking for a permanent place to call home. In deciding to root ourselves in a location, we have the benefit of building a community and flourishing; home is one thing you dont have to search for anymore. Its just one reason why being displaced from where you live is so traumatic. Colombian artist Doris Salcedo explores this idea in her large-scale installation titled Uprooted.

In the monumental Uprooted, Salcedo built a house using 804 dead trees and steel. The trees comprise the exterior of the structure, their bare branches creating walls that lack doors, windows, and proper protection. We can see between them and into the interior, making it an uneven and untenable place to live.

Uprooted is meant to be uninhabitable. Salcedos use of withered trees, arranged in a recognizable structure, communicates an irreparable loss. This can be assigned in multiple ways, particularly through the invasion and continued assault on Ukraine by Russia. But it also speaks to the climate crisis and how devastating natural events are making some areas unlivable.

Uprooted was recently on view in Sharjah Biennial 15: Thinking Historically in the Present in the United Arab Emirates.

Help stop another bad vaccine bill in the New Jersey Legislature! "IndyWatch Feed Food"

New Jersey Legislative Bill A. 5493 would require metrics for assessing nursing home operations to include a requirement for nursing homes to report the number of residents who have received Covid-19 and annual flu shots.

This bill revises the requirements for taking action against low-performing nursing homes to include sanctions.  It will put pressure on nursing homes to have their residents vaccinated even if those residents do not wish to receive vaccines.

Specifically, the bill requires the Department of Health (DOH) to develop standards in three categories encompassing:

  • the physical well-being of residents
  • the mental well-being of residents
  • the nursing homes operational metrics

The Weston A. Price Foundation is opposed to the section that requires the metrics for assessing operations to include the number of residents who receive SARS-CoV-2 and seasonal influenza shots.

We do not take a position on other sections of the bill that do not relate to vaccines.

AB 5493 was introduced and referred to the Assembly Health Committee on 5/11/2023. It is sponsored by Assemblywoman Angela McKnight

Please speak up!

TAKE ACTION

Excess Deaths, Turbo-Cancer and the Covid Inquiry Sham "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Great to have John O'Looney back with us to discuss the ongoing effects of the mass jab experiment. John has been in the funeral business for 16 years and his on the ground engagement with bereaved families gives us an insight into excess deaths. He joins us to give an update on what life has been like over the last twelve months and shares what he is currently seeing, and that is an alarming rise in the amount of people dying from cancer, especially younger people. He gives us his thoughts on the Covid Inquiry that has just started in Westminster (spoiler...he would call it the Covid cover up or Covid sham). And we touch on his recent suspension from Twitter, John must be the only Funeral director banned from Musk's platform of 'Free Speech'! Madness. John OLooney has been a funeral director in the UK for over 15 years, and with his family they run a successful business in Milton Keynes. John started noticing things were not right in late November 2019 when he saw a 'blow-up pandemic mortuary' in a local hospital which he was told was set up in preparation for 'something really horrible coming'. In 2021, as the vaccines rolled out, he was witness to a spike of unusual deaths, and while his peers and colleagues in the industry kept quiet, John bravely spoke out and questioned the narrative. Horowitz: Confidential Pfizer document shows the company observed 1.6 million adverse events covering nearly every organ system "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Over 10,000 categories of nearly 1.6 million adverse events many of them serious and debilitating brought to you by Pfizer! You might not have heard it in the news, but in recent months, Pfizers pharmacovigilance documents requested by the European Unions drug regulator, the European Medicines Agency, have been released. They show that Pfizer knew about a sickening level of injury early on. An August 2022 document shows that the company already had observed the following scope of vaccine injury:
  • 508,351 individual case reports of adverse events containing 1,597,673 events;
  • One-third of the AEs were classified as serious, well above the standard for safety signals usually pegged at 15%;
  • Women reported AEs at three times the rate of men;
  • 60% of cases were reported with either outcome unknown or not recovered, so many of the injuries were not transient;
Highest number of cases occurred in the 31-50 year age group, and 92% did not have any comorbidities, which makes it very likely it was the vaccine causing such widespread, sudden injury. These numbers alone suggest that all COVID shots should be defunded and Congress must immediately remove liability protections from the manufacturers. But a more recent document released by the Europeans is even more devastating, because it breaks down the 1.6 million adverse events observed by Pfizer by category and subcategory of ailment and injury. The...

Learn How to Draw Your Favorite People in This Beginner-Friendly Online Class

Melissa de Nobrega Portrait Drawing

There are some types of art that feel impossible to do, and portrait drawing is certainly one of them. The subject matter requires you to consider a lot of factors, from facial expressions to anatomical proportions. Plus, everything has to work together to capture a person's likeness. If youve always wanted to draw your favorite people (or your self-portrait), get a crash course in it with the help of illustrator Melissa de Nobrega.

De Nobrega teaches the online class Portrait Drawing for Beginners: Learn How to Draw Anyone Youd Like. It's a comprehensive look at how to draw one of the most complex subjectsthe human face. Over nearly two hours, she will break down general facial structure through bite-size lessons. De Nobrega will also show how to plot facial guidelines, sketch using contour lines, and then complete the portrait. Best of all, her instructions are universal to portrait drawing and can be applied to anyone.

Students love the class structure. The anatomy part was very instructive, one reviewer writes. I like how simple it remained, while giving a good understanding of the humans face features. Another excellent part was to be able to follow along with the teacher. I was trying on my own at first, and then comparing with what the teacher was doing. It helped me pinpoint what I was doing wrong.

Enroll in Portrait Drawing for Beginners: Learn How to Draw Anyone Youd Like only on My Modern Met Academy, our e-learning platform.

The Scars of Ali Boulala Film ber die Skaterlegende Ali Boulala "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

The Tarot Card Deck Created by Salvador Dal "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

The Tarot has long been a tool of charlatans. But it has also long been embraced by brilliant, unconventional thinkers, many of whom themselves have a touch of the charlatan about them (and who would just as likely admit it with a smile). William Butler Yeats was a fan, as is visionary Chilean filmmaker, artist, writer, and psychonaut Alejandro Jodorowsky, who has recorded his own Youtube series explaining his take on this classic mode of divination. With its archetypal symbolism, the Tarots appeal to artists should be obvious. Most of them, like Jodorowsky, find far more interesting uses for it than fortune-telling. You must not talk about the future, Jodorowsky tells us in his series, the future is a con. The tarot is a language that talks about the present.

What might another visionary artist, Salvador Dal, think of Jodorowskys Tarot interpretations? Well never know, but I suspect he would find them enchanting. Not only do the two seem like kindred spirits, but Dal devoted some part of his life to the Tarot, designing his own deck in the 70s.

The Lion of Chaeronea "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

You know, when I first started studying classics, I was adamant that I was a Hellenist and that I wanted no part of Rome (actual quote: I dont care about anything after 146 BCE). Then in graduate school I quietly slipped farther and farther ahead in time, but even as I wrote a dissertation on the intellectual history of the Empire, I continued to insist that I was a Hellenist. (See? Plutarch! See? Dio Chrysostom!) But nowover twenty years since the day I changed my major from engineering to classicsI think its time to acknowledge that I am, in fact, a Romanist. I didnt plan it that way, but thus did the Fates decide.

Intuitive Astrology Forecast July 2023 "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

July 2023 is a busy month with the Lunar Nodes changing signs and Venus stationing retrograde. All of this cosmic energy creates a turning point in the energy of our year. We may find ourselves needing more patience, and the desire to pause and reflect may grow.

With Venus in retrograde, matters of the heart may rise to our attention, and we may feel a spotlight shone on the relationships in our lives. There may be some challenging things that come into view, but we are also offered the opportunity for a deeper heart awakening.

There is the chance that July could feel a little heavy because of this, however, the Universe is here to lend its support and does offer some lighter vibrations too.

The Lunar Nodes changing signs is a good opportunity to celebrate any healing work you have completed over the last 18 months. You may also feel a natural sense of culmination or completion around this time.

The Sirius Gateway earlier in the month is also a high vibrational time that offers the opportunity for gratitude, awakenings, and healing.

With all of the cosmic energies flowing this month and the growing number of retrograde planets in our sky, July is a perfect time to go with the flow. Keep your expectations in check and try to just show up as your best self on any given day.

Things may feel a little rocky, but if we allow ourselves to flow, we may just find that we arrive on territory that is perfect for where we need to be.

Your key astrology dates for July are below:

July 2023 Astrology

July 2- Venus in Leo Square Uranus in Taurus

Venus is currently in her shadow phase, preparing to go retrograde later in the month. Around this time, we may start to receive insights into what Venus Retrograde is asking us to let go of. Uranus can be a volatile presence here, so perhaps what we are letting go of is not what we expected. If things are rumbling around this time in regard to a certain relationship in your life, it is very likely that the full picture will come into view as Venus gets deeper into her retrograde journey.

July 3 Capricorn Full Moon

The Capricorn Full Moon reminds us that we can do hard things! This Full Moon will give us the motivation, determination, and drive to meet any challenges that we are currently facing. While there is some heavy energy around this Full Moon, we have the support of the Universe on our side to take any heaviness and overcome it. There is the opportunity here for great success if we rise up to any challenges that may come our way. The grounding vibrations of Capricorn will also remind us to bring stability into our lives, whether that is through creating boundaries, honoring a schedule, or just stepping up and taking more responsibility for our actions. If you are facing so...

Woman Asks if Shes Wrong for Throwing Out Her Husbands Friends Food "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Woman Asks if Shes Wrong for Throwing Out Her Husbands Friends Food

Oh, that food?

Its gone.

Forever.

To the ash heap of history

Doh!

I guess throwing someones food away is never a good idea, huh?

And this story sounds particularly bad.

But you have to ask yourself this question: did this woman act like an a**hole?

Read her story below and YOU be the judge.

AITA for throwing out my husbands friends food?

My husband loves his buddy Steve, I would love Steve a lot more if he wasnt always trying to give my cat human food when he is visiting.

I have explained it to him many times: Steve, do not give her anything, she is only allowed to have cat food. I have had to do this literally every time he has been in my house with food. Nevertheless, Steve persists.

I come home yesterday and Steve and my husband are throwing darts in the garage. Then they go out and come back with some fast food, including a meal for me. I turn my back for one moment to get some plates, and when I turn back around I see Steve offering my cat a piece of GARLIC BREAD.

I yell at him to STOP IT already, grab his whole meal and dump it in the trash. He calls me a bi**h and reaches for my meal, I grab it away and yell at him to get the hell away from my cat until hes learned some manners. They go back o...

Location: United States

In a chilling twist of youthful naivety and sinister intentions, 18-year-old Mateo Ventura from Massachusetts found himself ensnared in legal jeopardy after attempting to fund ISIS using gift cards. Through encrypted messaging, Ventura unwittingly sent approximately $1,670 worth of gift cards to an FBI undercover agent posing as an ISIS sympathizer. Prosecutors assert that Ventura intended for these gift cards to be sold on the dark web to financially support ISIS. Astonishingly, Ventura allegedly sent an audio message in which he pledged his allegiance to the terrorist group. Furthermore, he attempted to negotiate with the FBI, offering insider information on ISIS in exchange for $10 million. Despite the evidence against him, Mateos father, Paul Ventura, maintains his sons innocence, attributing the misunderstanding to his learning and developmental disabilities. My son said, Dad, I dont understand, I didnt do anything wrong, Paul recounts of the moment the FBI arrested Mateo, reflecting the family's shock and disbelief at the charges.

In a world where religious adherence seems to be waning, an intriguing resurgence in religiosity among the youth in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) has been highlighted by the Arab Barometer, a reputed non-profit research network known for its comprehensive surveys on societal trends in the Arab world. According to its seventh wave of surveys conducted between 2021 and 2022, a striking majority of the citizens in the MENA region self-identify as religious or somewhat religious. Notably, in countries like Tunisia and Libya, there has been a decline in the number of people describing themselves as "not religious" from earlier surveys from 31% to 27% in Tunisia, and from 25% to 2...

These Attractive People Swear Their Life Has Not Been Without Troubles "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Pretty People Few Things Actually These Attractive People Swear Their Life Has Not Been Without Troubles

Its been scientifically proven that attractive people face fewer barriers in life, and in many cases, have an easier path paved for them in the first place.

The grass is always greener, though, and even if your attractive friends do have a better yard, though, that doesnt mean they never get moles. Or mosquitoes. Or root rot.

Nothing is perfect, basically a fact that these people can confirm is even true about being attractive.

People are always looking.

People are always looking at you. And if you make eye contact, they try to talk to you. This made me very self conscious, and led to a bad habit of never really looking at other people.

I was never really attractive, just normal. But as a naturally shy person the attention was anxiety inducing and I think stunted my social ability because I was afraid to really look at people.

I can only imagine how overwhelming it is for really attractive people.

You have to be mean.

People equate being nice to being flirty.

This came up on a recent Ted Lasso episode how can you tell if a girl really likes you or is just being nice?

You cant.

Things change.

If youre attractive right now, people assume youve always been attractive. People assume attractive pe...

The Lion of Chaeronea "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Denarius minted in 17 BCE by Marcus Sanquinius, one of the IIIviri monetales, to mark Augustus holding of the Ludi Saeculares (Secular Games). On the obverse, the bust of the deified Julius Caesar; above his head is the comet seen after his assassination that was thought to mark his ascent to the gods. On the reverse, the herald of the Secular Games, in a costume evocative of the divine herald Mercury, including the caduceus.

The Secular Games were ostensibly held every 110 years, this period having been set by Etruscan soothsayers as the farthest limit of a human lifespan. Civil war prevented the holding of the regularly scheduled Games in 46 BCE; after Augustus became sole ruler, he chose 17 BCE to inaugurate a new Golden Age (saeculum aureum). The Games began with three days of prayer and sacrifice by Augustus and M. Agrippa, held both by day and by night. The daylight sacrifices were to Olympian deities (Jupiter, Juno, and Apollo/Diana), while the nighttime sacrifices honored deities with chthonic associations (the Moerae [Fates], the Ilythiae [goddesses of childbirth], and Terra Mater {Mother Earth]). The poet Horace composed a hymn for the occasion, the Carmen Saeculare, which was performed by choirs of boys and girls on the Palatine and then on the Capitoline. This event had several purposes: it celebrated peace and prosperity after many years of civil war; it advanced Augustus program of religious reform and a re...

Has anyone noticed but me recently or within the last few years that if you make the mistake of watching the 6 Oclock news on local TV that these buffoons they call newscasters and staff meteorologists act like comedians or self-aggrandizing wannabes? I thought we were just supposed to get the news or simply find out what the weather will be doing. I currently have Metro by T-Mobile once an independent cell provider bought out by a German telecommunications giant whos CEO explained to social media platforms how to censor Trump during the 2020 stolen election. If its not some new electronic game or hints on how to play better, if its not about some aging actress who decided to do a bikini shoot, or of some complete idiot celebrity like Whoopi Goldberg who is mad at some game company using her caricature, the trash for brains circus is definitely on.

Artists Pay Homage to Histories Preserved and Forgotten "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

LOS ANGELES Perhaps one of the greatest desires of artists is to make visible the invisible, to give expression to the ineffable yet deeply felt realities of existence in an infinitely layered and fluctuating world. As Yet and Still to Come, currently on view at Tiger Strikes Asteroid Los Angeles, brings together four artists who take on this challenge. Working in multiple mediums and addressing a variety of topics, the artists commonality lies in their refusal to make easily classified works, instead opting for a collective sense of complexity.

A classically trained oil painter from China, artist Yike Zhang recently shifted her focus toward textiles. In Wang Zhu (2023), hanging near the gallery entrance, the artist paid homage to her grandmother, after whom the piece is named. Zhang delicately weaves multiple layers of fabric into a form that appears almost scroll-like, combining Chinese text with different types of imagery, includ...

Ambush Sister Wedding Child Free Is He Wrong for Ambushing His Sister at Her Wedding Reception? People Shared Their Thoughts.

Id venture to say that its probably never, ever a good idea to surprise a person with ANYTHING on their wedding day.

Thats the conundrum at the center of this story from Reddits Am I the A**hole? page.

Take a look at what this guy had to say and see if you think he was out of line.

When you want to learn more about art, history, and culture, museums are usually the best destinations. Interestingly, the word museum actually derives from the ancient institution called the Mouseion, or Institution of the Muses, which contained the famed Library of Alexandria and other rooms. However, while this is where the museum gets its name, it is not the first instance of a place that displays objects of significance. Two centuries prior, around 530 BCE, princess and priestess Ennigaldi-Nanna of the Neo-Babylonian empire curated the world's first known public museum.

Situated in Ur, or modern-day Dhi Qar Governorate of Iraq, this museum contained artifacts belonging to Southern Mesopotamia. Many of the pieces that were exhibited were actually excavated by Ennigaldi-Nanna's father, King Nabonidus, or collected by the former King Nebuchadnezzar. Ennigaldi-Nanna helped organize all of these objects to inform and share the history of the empire.

Here we will learn more about Ennigaldi-Nanna and the significance of her museum.

Evoking the supple curves of the human body, an installation by artist Ling-Li Tseng (previously) explores the power of connection and community. Created in collaboration with Serendipity Studio for the 2023 Taipei Lantern Festival, Gathering Pavilion is comprised of eight figurative forms that lean together with shoulders touching to establish a space with a flower-shaped opening. Each module is made of laser-cut metal with a baked enamel finish, with lights embedded near the base to shine upward and reflect on the materials surface.

When on view earlier this year in Four South Village, Xinyi District, Taipei City, viewers would instinctively walk into the artwork, engaging in a visual dialogue with the humanoid geometry or using the eight modules as frames to catch a glimpse of Taipei 101, the iconic skyscraper, Tseng told Colossal. The involvement of viewers completes the artwork, embodying the original intention behind the creation of the Gathering Pavilion.'

The Experience Machine: Cognitive Philosopher Andy Clark on the Power of Expectation and How the Mind Renders Reality "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

We are never simply seeing whats really there, stripped bare of our own anticipations or insulated from our own past experiences. Instead, all human experience is part phantom the product of deep-set predictions.

The Experience Machine: Cognitive Philosopher Andy Clark on the Power of Expectation and How the Mind Renders Reality

Attention is less a lens on the world than a mirror for the mind. My experience is what I agree to attend to, William James wrote in his foundational treatise on attention in the final years of the nineteenth century. In the epoch since, we have discovered just what an intentional, unapologetic discriminator attention is, just how much it shapes our entire experience of reality. But we are only just beginning to discover that, far from a passive observer of the outside world, our attention is an active creator of it as the brain makes constant conscious and unconscious predictions of what it expects to find when it looks, then finds just that; we are only beginning to understand how right Thoreau was when, in Jamess epoch, he observed that we hear and apprehend only what we already half know.

That is what cognitive philosopher...

Perfectly Preserved 3,000-Year-Old Bronze Sword Discovered in Germany

Shining Ancient Bronze Sword Discovered in Germany

Photo: Archologie-Bro Dr Woidich

Ancient swords hold a certain mystique. Recently, a museum discovered an artifact in their collection was in fact a real ancient weapon, unearthed from a Hungarian river in the 1930s. In 2018, a young Swedish girl pulled a Viking sword out of a lake in her exciting: a Bronze Age sword has been discovered, still gleaming as if new, buried in an ancient German gravesite.

The sword was discovered in Nrdlingen in southern Germany. It dates back to the late 14th century BCE, making it over 3,000 years old. The sword was buried with other bronze objects in a gravesite where the remains of a man, woman, and boy were discovered. The rare find is an important piece of Bronze Age craftsmanship. The hilt is octagonal with intricate patterns. The hilt was cast onto the blade in a demonstration of skill by the maker. Unlike other grave goods, the sword was clearly meant for use rather than ornament. Although the bronze has become slightly green, the metal still shined upon its unearthing, as if only recently it had vanished under the earth.

Why was the sword laid to rest alongside the three unknown ancient people? The answer is still elusive. Professor Mathias Pfeil, head of the BLfD, the Bavarian state preservation office, said, The sword and the burial still need to be examined so that our archeologists can categorize this find more precisely. But we can already say that the state of preservation is extraordinary. A find like this is very rare. The identities and relationship of the three people still need to be further investigated, but the remarkab...

You want my forgiveness?

Uh oh!

That sure doesnt sound good!

But was this guy an a**hole for saying this to his parents?

Get all the details below and see where you stand.

AITA for telling my parents I am willing to sell them my forgiveness?

My parents expected me to be independent the minute I turned 18. They gave me the money they had saved up for my education and they started charging me rent.

I was lucky enough to have a partial scholarship and I found a job in the city my university was in so I moved there before the school year began.

With my parents money, my scholarship, and my wages I was able to scrape by.

I rarely if ever spoke with my parents. I was kind of busy.

I guess they decided that they didnt want that kind of relationship with my younger siblings because they were not presented with the same option. They both lived at home all through university and even afterwards.

I am 34 now with a decent job and a great girlfriend whom I will be marrying this summer.

Sculptures of Fragmented Travelers Find Their Home on the Amalfi Coast "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Sculptures of Fragmented Travelers Find Their Home on the Amalfi Coast

Bruno Catalano Sculpture on the Amalfi Coast

Artist Bruno Catalanos fragmented sculptures have touched down on the Amalfi Coast. Four of his Travelers are displayed on the waterfront, with the stunning Amalfi landscape filtering through their fractured bodies. As a French artist with Italian origins who was born in Morocco, Catalano feels a strong kinship with these voyagers, who walk with suitcases in hand.

In my work, I seek movement and the expression of feelings; I make new forms emerge from inertia and manage to smooth them out to give them new life, shares the artist. Coming from Morocco, I too have traveled with suitcases full of memories that I represent so often in my works. They contain not only images but also life, my desires: my origins on the move.

Among the works on display is Blue de Chine, which is dedicated to migrant workers who travel far and wide in the hopes of being able to support their families. The sculpture's blue tint is intended to evoke the uniforms of workers and seamen. The piece is highly personal for the artist, as he was also one of these workers, coming to France from Morocco with just a suitcase.

Two of his other sculptures, Hubert and Simone, are a study in contrasts. Hubert, bare-chested and barefoot, is a humble traveler with a carefree spirit. Sculpted with a body reminiscent of Hellenistic sculpture, his bronzed chest is exposed to the elements.

In contrast, Simone is elegantly dressed in a suit and tie. He walks with confidence, suitcase in hand. In his oversized luggage, he brings his hopes and dreams with him as he looks out into the distance at his future. While all of these travelers have their differences, what binds them together are their abilities to blend into their environment. Through the fragmented parts of their bodies, Catalano allows these voyagers to become part of the location, giving them new memories to place in their suitcases.

Thanks to a collaboration between Venice's...

Through exquisite cut-paper motifs, Pippa Dyrlaga (previously) evinces the principles of biophilia, the theory that humans are predisposed to connect with nature and other life forms. This hypothesis grounds the Yorkshire-based artists first solo show in the U.S., which opens this week at Heron Arts in San Francisco.

Encompassing a range of Dyrlagas works from recent years, the exhibition is named after the theory and features meticulously carved compositions that meld flora and fauna. Patterned mesh backdrops surround entire ecosystems with avian and aquatic life, as in Summer and River, while smaller pieces focus on single creatures like a bluebird or swan as they take flight. Layered with acrylic paint, the works are nostalgic and full of reverence, evoking the immense, insatiable wonder of childhood and the joy of discovering the beauty of the natural world for the first time.

Biophilia runs from June 22 to July 21. Find more of Dyrlagas pieces on her site and Instagram.

Do cups have souls? If you look at Margot Bergmans portfolio in our Summer issue, you might be tempted to say yes: the cups she has painted, from various vantage points and in bright colors, seem filled with life. Bergman, who was born in 1934, has been painting for nearly her whole life. She is best known for her series Other Reveries, which features collaborative portraits painted over artworks she has saved from flea markets and thrift stores. Each painting is layered with decisive, bold paint strokes, revealing a face latent with layers of emotions. They are at once beautiful, frightening, humorous, and welcoming. Who knew that cups could contain similarly human emotion? We talked about the joys of painting, the female form, and of course, what drew her to cups in the first place.

Na Kim

INTERVIEWER

Much of your work revolves around faces, and especially female figures. When did start painting these?

MARGOT BERGMAN

In the fifties. The artist R. B. Kitaj was painting very flat paintings. I was attracted to his style. I began to paint like that. I still have some of those paintings in the basement of my home, left over from the fiftiesa series of flat paintings of naked women. They were very flat, very unsexual, though the women were butt naked, with their backs turned to the viewer. At one point, the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, wanted some of my paintings for the hallway of a government building. They were these Kitaj-like paintings of women, all naked, their backs turned, with what look like bits of collage randomly placed in the paintings. There was a controversy, and the paintings made it in to the newspaper in Milwaukee, because some...

Optimism (OP) Soars Over 6% Following Launch On BNB Chain "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Optimism price is basking in the news of BNB Chains newly introduced Optimism-powered layer-2 testnet opBNB. On June 19, BNB Chain announced the launch of its opBNB testnet. The newly launched layer-2 scaling solution based on Optimism Stack will boost the Binance Chain networks security and scalability.

Following the launch, the Optimism token has scored an over 6% price increase today, June 20, after an over 3% decline on June 19.

Binance-owned Blockchain Newly Introduced Optimism-powered Layer-2 Scaling Solution

The scaling solution, opBNB, will increase transaction throughput, reducing network fees. BNB Chain currently processes about 2,000 transactions per second at $0.10 per transaction. However, according to the latest announcement, opBNB would support over 4,000 transactions per second at a cost below $0.005.

Related Reading: Bullish Signal: Bitcoin Realized Profit And Loss Fall To October 2020 Levels

BNB Chain noted that opBNB optimizes data accessibility, and catching layer, and adjusts the submission process algorithm to enable simultaneous operations. That would allow the network to increase the gas limit to 100 million per block from the 30 million currently allowed on Optimism.

Binance described opBNB as the solution to the scalability challenge limiting the mass adoption of blockchain technology. Optimism scales transactions using Optimistic Rollups, which process data off-chain to fasten things on the Ethereum mainnet.

The newly launched scaling solution is Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible. That means it is interoperable with Ethereum-based smart contracts, networks, and ERC-20 token standards. Furthermore, the announcement noted that the remote procedure call service layer simplifies the integration process through a user-friendly interface.

With that, developers can focus on building applications without worrying about complexities associated with layer-2 scaling. News of this development has increased Optimism (OP) sentiment, evident in the increased trading volume.

At the time of writing, the Optimism token has recorded a 24-hour increase in trading volume of over 140%. BNB Chain isnt the only network to leverage Optimisms scalability. Optimism is known for its excellent scaling capability.

In a previous development, World ID and World App, a grass-free crypto wallet founded by OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman, migrated to Optimism to leverage its layer-2 scaling solution.

All COVID Infections At A Health Conference Were In Double Vaccinated "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Every single human being that tested positive for COVID-19 at a health conference in Germany had had at least two doses of the COVID vaccine. After the conference, 109, or 14 percent of attendees, tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a report by The Epoch Times, approximately 4,462 people attended the conference in Berlin in the fall of 2022. Just 1,355 filled out a survey and only about half of those were tested after the conference, researchers said in the new paper, published on June 13 by JAMA Network Open, a journal from the American Medical Association.

In comparison, of the people who filled out the survey and tested negative after the conference, 98 percent were vaccinated and 62.5 percent had proven prior COVID-19 positive test. Although a positive test means very little:

The CDC ADMITS: PCR Tests CANNOT Differentiate Between Coronaviruses!

In comparison, of the people who filled out the survey and tested negative after the conference, 98 percent were vaccinated and 62.5 percent had proven prior positive COVID-19 test.

That means that a persons vaccination status was not associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection during the congress, Dr. Alaa Din Abdin of Saarland University Medical Center UKS and the other authors wrote. SARS-CoV-2 is the virus that causes COVID-19.

On the other hand, prior infection was significantly associated with testing negative, and staying in private accommodation versus a hotel was associated with a higher infection rate.

The conference in question was the 122nd Annual Congress of the German Society of Ophthalmology. It took place from September 28 to October 2, 2022. People attended the conference in person for the first time in three years. The Epoch Times

Researchers claim the higher rate of infection can be blamed on Omicron. This higher rate could be because the congress took place during the Omicron surge, which was locally and temporally different compared with the variants in other studies, they said, adding later that the Omicron variant had a much higher transmission rate and lower vaccine efficacy due to immune escape of the new subtype.

A survey of attendees of a different conference, hosted in the United States by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CD...

By Mark Blaxill

June 19, 2023

A number of news articles have reported on the death last Thursday of Donald Triplett in Forest Vivian M Oldest Kanner ChildMississippi. Triplett was the first individual with autismCase 1--described in Leo Kanners landmark 1943 paper Autistic Disturbances of Affective Contact. Contrary to assertions made in the recent flurry of articles, he was not the oldest individual ever diagnosed with autism. That distinction belongs to Vivian Murdock, Case 6 in Kanners paper, who was born on August 29, 1931 (see Her Name Was Vivian The Age of Autism's First Born Child) ; Triplett, who was born on September 8, 1933, was two years younger than Vivian. Nor was he the first seen at Kanners clinic at John Hopkins, a distinction that belongs to David Speck, born on June 20, 1932, who was first seen at Hopkins in November 1935. But when Tripletts parents, Beaman and Mary, brought Donald from Forest Mississippi to see Kanner at Hopkins in October 1938, he was undoubtedly the first person with autism Kanner had ever encountered; Donald clearly made a lasting impression.

Succession Reimagined as Wes Andersons The Royal Tenenbaums

Succession is Reimagined in the Style of Wes Anderson

Wes Anderson's films have a distinct aesthetic that sets them apart from other pictures. Its instant recognizability makes it a favorite style to recreate, whether it be through a parody by SNL or an homage by various TikTokers. Recently, Artsy Algorithm used the Texan director's colorful approach to reimagine HBO's hit TV show Succession in a whole new way.

The one-minute trailer copies the format of the 2001 film The Royal Tenenbaums, only in this Connor are transformed with the help of AI to resemble typical Wes Anderson characters. They wear colorful costumes in yellow and pink tones and are placed against carefully curated backgrounds.

This whimsical concept gives the urban drama a much different feeling. Rather than the gray and black color palette that it is playful. Even the patriarchal figure Logan Roy seems like a much more approachable person in the Wes Anderson style.

Bitcoin Whales Continue To Accumulate As BTC Makes Recovery Push "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

On-chain data shows that Bitcoin whales have continued to accumulate recently as the asset has been trying to make a push toward recovery.

Bitcoin Whales Have Continued To Add To Their Holdings Recently

According to data from the on-chain analytics firm Santiment, the whales have bought around $3.5 billion in the digital asset since the first week of April. The relevant indicator here is the BTC Supply Distribution, which tells us about the total amount of Bitcoin that each wallet group in the market is holding right now.

The wallet groups here refer to cohorts of addresses divided based on the total number of coins that they are carrying in their balances currently. In the context of the current discussion, the 1,000-10,000 coins group is the one of interest.

Naturally, this cohort would include all addresses or investors who are holding at least 1,000 BTC and at most 10,000 BTC. As the only holders that own such large wallets would be the whales, this group can provide insight into the behavior of these humongous investors.

If n the Supply Distribution is applied for this specific cohort, it would track the combined amount of Bitcoin that all the whales falling inside this range are holding currently.

Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the BTC Supply Distribution for the whales over the last few months:

Bitcoin Whales

As displayed in the above graph, the 1,000-10,000 coins group has registered an increase in its supply recently. More specifically, since the first week of April (that is, just before the rally had hit what has so far been the top), the whales have added around 131,600 BTC (worth about $3.5 billion at the current exchange rate) to their wallets.

It would appear that these humongous Bitcoin investors were constantly adding to their addresses as the price was going down, perhaps hoping to catch the bottom.

Recently, however, the group had slowed down as the decline was showing no signs of stopping, and fresh FUD like the SEC charges against Binance and Coinbase had emerged in the market.

But a few days back, when Bitcoin had plunged below $25,000, the supply of the whales had started showing a rapid rise, implyin...

Sergiu Ciochin Captures the Dance of Sunlight and Shadows in Textural, Vivid Oil Paintings "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

A landscape painting of sunlight through trees.

Feeling of summer (2023), oil on board, 35 x 50 centimeters. All images Sergiu Ciochin, shared with permission

Shadow and light are the most stable and perfect tools of creation: they unite colors, shapes, and dimensions, says Moldovan artist Sergiu Ciochin, adding that shadows move us through diversity, enhancing our perception, while light fills us with the joy of discovery. In saturated hues, he captures dappled sunlight as it filters through the trees and the rich tones of the golden hour as it casts deep bluish-purple shade onto the sides of houses.

Taking cues from the Impressionists, Ciochin focuses on the nuances of light and its ability to reveal outlines and forms. He works in thick, impasto oil paint on board, emphasizing the shapes of windows, doors, and stoops and transforming otherwise ordinary buildings into compositions glowing with the patterns of foliage, architectural angles, and the texture of brushstrokes. The symbiosis I create between nature and architecture is intended to evoke a love for space, he says.

Ciochins is preparing to move his studio to France and exhibit in Italy for the first time later this year. His landscapes comprise part of a broader painting practice, which you can explore more of on his Instagram and website.

Incredible Live Stream Video Captures Powerful Volcano Eruption of Hawaiis Kilauea "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Incredible Live Stream Video Captures Powerful Volcano Eruption of Hawaiis Kilauea

Kilauea Volcano Eruption

Photo: Screenshot from YouTube

As dangerous as a volcanic eruption can be, there is something mesmerizing about the burning lava flows that come out of the crater. It's almost as if nature was sketching with fire. Beyond the thrilling visuals, vulcanologists around the world rely on cameras situated strategically close to these sites to monitor any activity. As one of the one of the world's most active (and famous) volcanoes, the Kilauea constantly posits a threat to the inhabitants of Hawaii. To keep tabs on it, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) offers a 24/7 KlaueaVolcano Live Stream from the Halemaumau crater.

With a long history of activity, the Kilauea erupted again this month. By the afternoon of June 7, the initial lava flows were between 13 and 30 feet high and covered about 370 acres of the crater floor. This prompted the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO) to upgrade the Volcano Alert Level to Red, which indicates potential hazards. While the Halemaumau crater has been closed to the public since 2007, volcanic smog can cause health issues for people and livestock, as well as damages to crops. As of June 12, the alert level has been decreased to level watch and color code orange.

The good news for now is that the eruption is confined to Halemaumau crater within Klauea's summit caldera, a...

Besides their accent, whats one way you know a tourist is American? 23 dead giveaways "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

No matter how much you think youre blending in with the locals when you go away on your holidays, you can bet your bottom dollar (or euro) that youre basically fooling no-one.

And by all accounts youre particularly likely to stand out if youre an American. And not just because of your accent (that would be a bit too obvious, obviously).

Why are we wanging on like this? Because weve been thinking of Redditor mknapp37 who had a question for the good people of AskReddit.

Besides their accent, whats one way you know a tourist is American?

Not all Americans, obviously, just some of them. Quite a lot of them, you might think. Anyway, weve read all the answers so you dont have to well, quite a few of them and these stood out.

1.

The absolute fearlessness of asking anyone on the street about anything.

Edit: I dont mean this negatively, Im just saying Ive seen Americans approach people both in my home country and abroad starting conversations with them that I wouldnt dream of.

Because they look shady or just plain scary. Example, I was in Newcastle and I see a bald headed skinny man with face tattoos and a tracksuit suddenly asked Hey bud, dya know where Its quite admirable.

AthleticallyLazy

2.

Baseball caps, University spirit wear, cargo shorts, free t-shirts from events with ads and text all over them, and for the older Americans they always seem to just kinda stand in the middle of everything looking around.
Zack1018

3.

Having conversations with family at a level appropriate to a rock concert. HEY SANDRA WOULD YA LOOK AT THIS!
tragicworldrecord

4.

They get amazed by old things.

Girlfriend used to work on a farm and an estate in the U.K. and would often have Americans in awe of the old buildings.

One once said some of these buildings are older than my country.
curved_oracle

5.

Confidence. I have never seen someone walk so confidently in the wrong direction like an American can.
olaolie

6.

Normally the way you dress. For some reason some of you guys treat going abroad like youre going to do some hardcore Amazon exploring but youre in Europe.

Or if you guys are in London you have a magnet attached to you thats attracted to telephone and post boxes.

When Americans cross the street, they expect cars to stop for them. In my country, the cars will run you down without thinking twice....

Types of Happiness by Yinka Ilori in London, United Kingdom "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

A major installation by Yinka Ilori Types of Happiness has been unveiled at the Royal Docks, marking the start of The Lines vibrant summer programme, as well as At The Docks, a brand new season of world-class arts, culture and events taking over the Royal Docks, this summer. The Line is Londons largest free public art walk connecting some of the capitals most exciting creative quarters from Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks to East Bank.

Artworks installed thoughtfully along The Line encourage the discovery of intriguing spaces in the natural landscape of East Londons waterways. Types of Happiness features two 10ft high sculptural chairs, featuring bold colours and a Dutch wax print-like pattern. Designed by British-Nigerian artist Yinka Ilori, the installation references his early career up-cycling chairs and his fascination with furniture as a vehicle for storytelling.

Best Crypto Narrative For This Summer? Everything About LSDfi "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSDs) on Ethereum were one of the biggest topics in the crypto market in the first months of 2023. Thanks to Ethereums shift from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS), LSD projects such as Lido Finance (LDO) and Frax Finance (FXS) flourished.

In simple terms, LSDs are financial instruments that represent tokens that have been used as receipts within a DeFi protocol. Through these, users are able to stake their token while having the flexibility to use these LSDs in other decentralized applications.

Best New Crypto Narrative For H2 2023?

And according to some experts, LSDfi could become the new biggest trend for the second half of 2023. Crypto analyst @DaanCrypto recently wrote: My best guesses for narratives going into the Summer: BTC Chain/Layer, LSDfi. Been loading up on some ALTS that fall into these categories. Remarkably, Binance Research also recently published a detailed report on LSDfi that is well worth reading for investors.

LSDfi refers to DeFi protocols built on liquid staking derivatives. By providing additional yield opportunities, LSDfi protocols allow LSD holders to leverage their assets and maximize returns. According to Binances report, LSDfi protocols have seen a rapid increase in Total Value Locked, TVL in recent months, benefiting from the introduction of liquid staking.

Cumulative TVL across the major LSDfi protocols has surpassed the $400 million mark, more than doubling in the last month. Tailwinds for LSDfi growth include the rise of staked ETH as well as the current low adoption of LSDfi.

Remarkably, the trend is still relatively young. LSDs currently hold an $16.9 billion market cap, while LSDfi only accounts for 2% of that market, creating a massive opportunity.

LSD vs LSDfi

In addition, ETHs staking ratio is significantly lower than the average of the top 20 PoS chains. The ETH ratio is just 16.1%, while the average ratio is 58.1%. T...

Hey, allApologies for the spate of lengthy posts. I figure, if people are going to swipe my content, at least I can give them something meaty and educational to steal.

The Lion of Chaeronea "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Sestertius of the notorious Roman emperor Commodus, minted at Rome in 192 CE, the last year of his reign. On the obverse, the bust of Commodus; on the reverse, the personification of Africa greets Hercules. Africa holds a sheaf of wheat (representing the grain the province produced) and a sistrum (the rattle associated with the goddess Isis), while Hercules stands on a ships prow and holds his club.

The seemingly innocuous imagery of this coin masks the megalomania that characterized Commodus final years. He is here styled Lucius Aelius Aurelius Commodus, his birth name; his father Marcus Aurelius had renamed him M. Aurelius Antoninus Commodus upon making him Caesar, but Commodus ultimately spurned both this name and his fathers heritage. His identification with Hercules, a constant of his reign, reached a fever pitch at this time: the emperor officially styled himself Roman Hercules (Hercules Romanus) and engaged in beast-hunts (venationes) and gladiatorial matches designed to evoke Hercules Twelve Labors. (In one infamous incident, he threatened to cast the audience in the arena as the Stymphalian Birds and mow them down with arrows.) Taking a dizzying array of new cognomina (Amazonius, Invictus, Exsuperatorius, etc.), Commodus demanded that each month of the year be named after one of his titles, and he even floated the idea of renaming Rome Colonia Aelia Commoda after himself. By December...

This guy was furious that his too small TV didnt measure up and its an all-time classic "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

We tend not to get too grumpy with customer service because the rare occasion when we clamber on our high horse it turns out we were totally in the wrong in the first place.

But weve never suffered a fall quite so dramatic as this poor guy, who was furious that his too small TV simply didnt measure up, and its an all-time classic.

My 50 TV is only 44, this is a scam! complained this particular 1-star review.

Well, maybe. Maybe not.

And just in case thats tricky to read

False advertisement

Purchased the Samsung 8 series TU8000 50. After unpacking found that the 50 I purchased was actual 44. Hows that! The box is only 49 there no way with the foam protection the TV could be 50. See pictures and video. This is a scam.

I need my money or a 50 Samsung TV.

Are you going to tell them, or are we?

And here are just a few of the comments it prompted over on Reddit.

Why not measure it vertically and really get fired up?

Just FYI for anyone coming to say that the Amazon post is right, all electronics screen sizes are measured on the diagonal.
Posiedon22

When I worked retail, this would come up every so often.

I would explain to people why its measured that way, and it has to so with the first CRT TVs screens being round. Diameter measurements were the only way you could measure them efficiently.

When screens became more rectangular, the measurements switched to diagonal. It sounds more impressive, and its more efficient, since screens can be described with just one number, instead of two.

Pfizer Caught Funnelling $12 Million to Anderson Cooper To Promote mRNA Jabs to Americans "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Pfizer has funnelled a whopping $12 million dollars into the bank account of CNN host Anderson Cooper as part of a deal to promote the companys toxic mRNA jabs to the American public.
According to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., very few people are aware of the fact that Cooper gets the majority of his CNN pay-check from Pfizer. 80 percent of Coopers $12 million annual salary, roughly $10 million, comes directly from Pfizer, according to RFK. Jr. Anderson Cooper has a $12 million a year annual salary, Kennedy revealed during the segment. Well, $10 million of that is coming from Pfizer. So, his boss is not CNN. His boss is Pfizer. And theyre unashamed about it. Theyre unabashed about it. They say on his program brought to you by Pfizer. Of course, hes not going to tell you the truth about Pfizers product. Hes going to try to sell it to you. Hes going to try to scare the hell out of you saying if you dont take this, youre going to die. Naturalnews.com reports: To be fair, Cooper is hardly the only mainstream media whore peddling drugs on his viewers in exchange for cash. Most of the corporate media are beholden to Big Pharma as a financial lifeline, hence why the bulk of media commercial breaks these days are advertisements promoting the latest drugs. For many years, CNN competitor Fox News has been pushing the latest pharmaceutical drugs in between media segments. Even though Fox tends to lean more conservative or at least used to it is still paid by the same people that run CNN to report the news. What this means, of course, is that there really is no left versus right, or Republican versus conservative, when the likes of Pfizer is controlling what gets said. Whether right-leaning or left-leaning, all it really is behind the smokescreen is one single uniparty pushing dangerous drugs on viewers. The media in our country is an extension of the pharmaceuti...

A Shocking UN Document Reveals The Sick Sexual Agenda That The Globalists Plan To Push On The Whole World "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

They arent going to stop until they impose their twisted values on the entire planet.  If you have not heard of The 8 March Principles yet, you can find the entire document right here.  It is essentially a blueprint for synchronizing all global laws regarding sexuality, gender and reproductive rights.  UNAIDS is one of the organizations that was involved in drafting this document, and on their official website they claim that many global laws that prohibit certain types of sexual behavior not only violate human rights, but the fundamental principles of criminal law themselves.  Alarmingly, among the laws that are being targeted by the globalists are laws that ban adults from having sex with children.
It turns out that they have been working on The 8 March Principles for quite a long time. In fact, UNAIDS says that it took over five years to finalize this new document
THE PRINCIPLES ARE THE OUTCOME OF A 2018 WORKSHOP ORGANIZED BY UNAIDS AND OHCHR ALONG WITH THE ICJ TO DISCUSS THE ROLE OF JURISTS IN ADDRESSING THE HARMFUL HUMAN RIGHTS IMPACT OF CRIMINAL LAWS. THE MEETING RESULTED IN A CALL FOR A SET OF JURISTS PRINCIPLES TO ASSIST THE COURTS, LEGISLATURES, ADVOCATES AND PROSECUTORS TO ADDRESS THE DETRIMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS IMPACT OF SUCH LAWS. THE PRINCIPLES, DEVELOPED OVER FIVE YEARS, ARE BASED ON FEEDBACK AND REVIEWS FROM A RANGE OF EXPERTS AND STAKEHOLDERS. THEY WERE FINALIZED IN 2022. INITIALLY, THE PRINCIPLES FOCUSED ON THE IMPACT OF CRIMINAL LAWS PROSCRIBING SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS, CONSENSUAL SEXUAL ACTIVITY, GENDER IDENTITY, GENDER EXPRESSION, HIV NON-DISCLOSURE, EXPOSURE AND TRANSMISSION, DRUG USE AND THE POSSESSION OF DRUGS FOR PERSONAL USE. Reclaiming the Power of the Womb in Humanitys Next Evolution "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

I've recently written about how the Moon has been engineered, by an Interdimensional Intervention, to manipulate all life on Earth. If you doubt my view, explore the 9 Astounding Facts that confirm the Moon is artificial. Having communicated with the Beings who've installed it, we established it's extracting energy from Gaia and Humanity. Now the question is how we emerge out? It's time to reclaim our natural evolutionary path, which involves reclaiming the Womb, and must be done by all seeking liberation.

Re-establishing the Flower of Life

The most shocking thing about the information and insights I've shared is the grandiose systemic approach to controlling the Earth and all life on it. This cuts right down to Humanity's DNA by projecting energetic signals through the 4D morphic fields - which is where the Moon, configured as a "Free Energy" device comes in. The female mitochondrial DNA has been adapted to take the Intervention Agenda - one of total control of life here. Explore how the DNA was adapted: How the Moon is Impacting Life on the Planet
Have no fear, it's time for realignment. We can each emerge out, and for everyone undertaking the inner work, we ripple waves of irresistible rebellion through the Field. And this endeavour is being increasingly supported in the Grand Galactic Convergence, which is progressively re-establishing Gaia's Toroidal Flower of Life - the spin is increasing, which will progressively diminish the Moon's impact in our lives until it ce...

IMF Advances Global Central Bank Digital Currency Platform For International Transactions "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is actively developing a global platform for CBDCs to facilitate seamless transactions across borders, announced IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva at a conference in Rabat, Morocco.

Georgieva emphasized the importance of avoiding fragmented CBDC solutions and highlighted the need for systems that connect countries, promoting efficiency and fairness through interoperability.

CBDCs should not be fragmented national propositions. To have more efficient and fairer transactions we need systems that connect countries: we need interoperability, said Kristalina Georgieva.

Over 114 central banks are currently exploring CBDCs, with approximately 10 nearing completion, she added.

Georgieva further warned that failure to agree on a common platform could lead to a void filled by cryptocurrencies. CBDCs, controlled by central banks, differ from decentralized cryptocurrencies in that they are controlled by an entity.

Georgieva stressed that CBDCs foster financial inclusion by granting more individuals access to cost-effective financial services. She noted that remittances, which currently cost an average of 6.3% or around $44 billion annually, could be made cheaper through CBDCs.  The average cost of money transfers stands at 6.3% amounting to $44 billion annually, the director said.

However, she cautioned that CBDCs must be asset-backed to ensure stability, distinguishing them from speculative investments when cryptocurrencies lack such backing.

IMF Highlights Risks Of Poorly Designed CBDCs, Calls For Unified Regulatory Framework

The IMFs proposal for a global CBDC platform aligns with the goal of reducing fragmentation and enhancing cross-border transactions. A standardized platform would bridge the financial divide, strengthen payment systems, and make remittances quicker and less costly.

While CBDC benefits are evident, the IMF also underscored risks associated with their design. Poorly designed CBDCs could pose financial stability risks, encounter legal challenges, face cyber risks, and lead to operational risks for central banks.

The IMFs efforts to establish a unified regulatory framework and develop a global CBDC platform built upon previous discussions held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Recognizing the complex technological and legal aspects, the IMF aims to leverage its expertise to guide the platforms development, fostering trust and provid...

Millions Of You Dont Even Realize You Are Going To Die In A Third World War "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The End of the American Dream under the title: As Russia Prepares To Use Tactical Nukes, Millions Of You Dont Even Realize You Are Going To Die In A Third World War

What is it going to take to wake people up?  Russia is deploying tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus, and there is lots of talk in the Russian media about using such weapons to bring a quick end to the war in Ukraine.

The theory is that once the Russians show that they are willing to use tactical nukes, the U.S. and the other Western powers will back off.  But that wont be what happens.  Instead of backing off, the Biden administration will respond by using U.S. tactical nuclear weapons against Russian targets in Ukraine.  And once both sides have used tactical nukes, it is just a matter of time before the big nukes get used.

This war could have been avoided at the negotiating table long before it ever started, but that didnt happen.

And we could still have a negotiated solution, but at this point, both sides are not interested in peace talks at all.

So we will continue to steamroll down a road that leads to nuclear conflict.  Both sides just continue to escalate matters over and over again, and even Vladimir Putin is admitting that this could easily cause a Third World War

Putin, speaking at a meeting with Russian war correspondents in Moscow yesterday, said: The United States pretends not to be afraid of an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, but sane people there clearly do not want to take this to a Third World War.

In the event of a Third World War, there will be no winners, including America.

But even though Putin realizes where things could be heading, he insists that peace talks are not an option.

In fact, he just said that this war will only end by freeing the entire territory of former Ukraine from the United States and Ukrainian Nazis

We were forced to try to end the war that the West started in 2014 by force of arms. And Russia will end this war by force of arms, freeing the entire territory of the former Ukraine from the United States and Ukrainian Nazis. There are no other options, Putin said.

The Ukrainian army of th...

Bullish Signal: Bitcoin Realized Profit And Loss Fall To October 2020 Levels "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

As the Bitcoin price continues to struggle, some metrics have begun to emerge that could mean that the current bearish trend is only temporary. The realized profit and loss levels for BTC have continued to fall over the last six months and have now hit a level that suggests the start of another upward rally.

Bitcoin Realized Profit And Loss At Two-Year Lows

Data from on-chain aggregator Glassnode shows that the realized profit and loss among Bitcoin holders have been on the decline. This fall in realized profit and loss follows the rollercoaster price action recorded over the course of 2023 so far, and as the price has struggled with the $26,000 level, the realized profit and loss margins have fallen to October 2020 levels.

Now, the realized profit and loss levels are important because it shows the amount of profit-taking and loss-taking happening in the market. Profit-taking occurs when investors are selling their BTC for a higher price than they purchased them, and loss-taking is when they are selling for a lower amount than it was purchased. A drop in both of these indicates that there is less selling happening in the market right now.

Bitcoin profit and loss

This is bullish for the price of Bitcoin because the selling pressure is now dropping, making room for the price of BTC to rebound. It also means a reduction in the available BTC supply in the market as investors opt to hold rather than sell. This allows room for growth in demand and can translate to a further increase in the price of the digital asset.

The Start Of Another BTC Bull Run?

The last time that the realized profit and loss levels fell this low was back in October 2020 which marked the start of the bull market. It was an almost non-stop climb from October 2020 to the new year where BTC went from around $11,000 to over $30,000 in a matter of months.

Jacob Rees-Mogg walked himself right into a Harriet Harman-shaped trap "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

The debate in Parliament was an almost one-sided affair as demonstrated by the 354-7 result of the division.

One of the few pro-Johnson voices in the chamber was that of Jacob Rees-Mogg or, rather, Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg since Johnsons honours list was approved.

When he challenged Labours Harriet Harman to explain what she had done to avoid the perception of bias, she had the perfect response. It was a spectacular self-own.

I actually said Im more than happy to step aside because perception matters. I dont want to do this if the Government doesnt have confidence in me, because I need the whole House to have confidence in the work that the Committee has mandated.

And I was assured that I should continue the work that the House had mandated with the appointment that the House had put me into, and so I did just that.

Whichever MP in the background said it was a mic-drop moment was spot on.

Donald Trumps tale of his phone call with Vladimir Putin is unintentionally hilarious "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

This clip of Donald Trump telling Fox News about a phone call he had with Vladimir Putin has just gone viral and its an unintentionally, obviously very funny watch.

Its from an interview earlier this month with Sean Hannity on Fox News where Trump describes how hed deal with Putin and Russias invasion of Ukraine.

He remembered a phone call he had with the Russian president and, well, best have a watch for yourself.

We were enjoying it far too much already, but it was the 10% bit that really slayed us.

And here are just a few of the things people said about it.

This Tory MP was dismantled with his own words on Newsnight and its glorious "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

Another week, another clip goes viral featuring the wonderful Victoria Derbyshire on BBC2s Newsnight.

This time its Tory MP Bob Seely who denied ever calling the House of Commons privileges committee that investigated Boris Johnson a kangaroo court.

Except Derbyshire had done her research of course she had and not only had he called it a kangaroo court, he had done it on Newsnight (which Seely denied even appearing on).

Here is the pairs exchange on Monday nights programme, before it cuts to Seelys earlier Newsnight appearance on (just in case he still cant remember).

Boom!

And here are our favourite things people said about it.

Paper retracted more than eight months after author admitted to plagiarism "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"

Last September, a researcher at a university in Bangladesh emailed a journal about a paper he had published in 2019. He made a stark admission: the paper contained plagiarism, said Sorif Hossain, a lecturer in statistics at Noakhali Science and Technology University, who called for the article to be promptly retracted.

But the paper remained in place. Only after Retraction Watch contacted the European Journal of Environment and Public Health (EJEPH) last week did it issue a retraction.

The retraction notice states that the article, Salinity and Miscarriage: Is There a Link? Impact of Climate Change in Coastal Areas of Bangladesh A Systematic Review, was retracted due to plagiarism, analysis errors, and writing issues. The paper has been cited six times, according to Google Scholar (the journal is not indexed in Clarivates Web of Science).

Modestum, EJEPHs publisher, told Retraction Watch that, following an extended exchange with Hossain, a retraction note was uploaded to the journal publication system, but final confirmation from the author was not well received and it stayed invisible.

The publisher also promised to investigate this issue further and [to] take necessary measures against those involved.

Retraction Watch became aware of the case earlier this month when Amir Abdoli, an associate professor of medical parasitology at Jahrom University of Medical Sciences in Iran, contacted us about the EJEPH article. Abdoli pointed out that it includedd a figure from a 2016 publication of his, Salt and miscarriage: Is there a link?, in the journal Medical Hypotheses, without permission or even citation.

Hear a Recently-Discovered 12,000-Year-Old Flute That Musically Mimics the Sound of Raptor Calls "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Here on Open Culture, weve featured ancient wind instruments going back 9,000, 18,000, even 43,000 years. Just this month, archaeological research has just added a new item to this venerable lineup: a set of 12,000-year-old flutes made from the bones of birds. The instruments are among the oldest in the world and, according to the researchers, represent the first to be found in the Levant, the region that fostered the first stages of the Neolithic Revolution approximately 12,000 years ago, writes Discovers Sam Walters. Theyre creations of the Natufian civilization, which bridged the difference between the foraging of the Paleolithic period and the agriculture of the Neolithic, and which was the first to adopt a sedentary lifestyle in the Levant.

The bones were unearthed in Eynan-Mallaha, which is part of modern-day northern Israels Hula Valley. It was during a recent examination of the artifacts, writes Smithsonian.coms Teresa Nowakowski, that scientists noticed that seven had strange features like finger holes and mouthpieces that would have allowed them to function as musical instruments.

People Talk About the Weirdest Things Theyve Caught Their Kids Doing "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Weirdest Thing Caught Kids Doing copy People Talk About the Weirdest Things Theyve Caught Their Kids Doing

I dont have kids but Ive spent enough time around them to realize that they can be WEIRD.

Like, really weird.

And today were all going to find out that the proof is in the pudding because these parents were nice enough to share stories about their kiddos.

Lets take a look!

That was nice of him.

When my son was about 4 he was playing in his playroom. I was on the couch and heard some sounds behind me (it was just us).

So I turn and see my son looking up at the light fixtures and whispering. I ask what hes doing. His response: Im asking all the lightbulbs in the house to not fall and kill you.

Carry on

Found my kid talking to the hole in the sink when he was 2.

Turns out thats where he said god lives. Carry on, ya weirdo.

Wrong spice!

Few years ago the cinnamon challenge was a thing. Walked in the door to my son with his head under the kitchen faucet gulping and spitting water.

He accidentally grabbed the cumin instead of the cinnamon.

Just the eyebrows, please.

When my son was about 3 years old, he liked to wash his eyebrows with my facial cleanser. Just...

Why Is The Bitcoin Price Up Today? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

After the Bitcoin price reached a three-month low of $24.835 last week, the bulls currently seem to be gaining the upper hand again. The BTC price has continued its upward trend in the last 24 hours and has risen by 1.6% to currently $26,795. At one point, BTC had already hit $27,203 before a corrective move took place.

Why Is Bitcoin Up Today?

As always, one can only speculate about the reasons why the Bitcoin price is rising. But thanks to the filing by BlackRock, the worlds largest asset manager, for a Bitcoin Spot ETF in the US, bullish sentiment has returned to the market. A Bitcoin Spot ETF is predicted to open the flood gates for institutional investors.

As NewsBTC reported, the history of the first gold ETF in the US in 2004 could be an indicator of the bullish impact that the approval of a spot ETF could have. The gold ETF has been instrumental in the adoption of gold by institutions. Within eight years of the first ETF, the price of gold more than quadrupled.

Basically, the US Securities and Exchange Commission has 240 days (about eight months) to decide on the application. However, David Attley, CEO of Bitcoin Magazine, asserted yesterday that he had heard a compelling argument that the BlackRock Bitcoin ETF could be approved shortly (days to weeks).

This news may have had as positive an impact on the market as yesterdays news that Fidelity may also soon apply for a Bitcoin Spot ETF along the lines of BlackRock. Obviously, crypto Twitter has become much more bullish as a result of the BlackRock news.

And large investors in BTC, so-called whales, have also turned bullish on the leading cryptocurrency for quite some time. As reported by on-chain data analytics service Santiment, whales have been busy over the past two months as the crowd watched the price fall.

Now back above $27k once again, its far from coincidence that wallets holding 1K to 10K $BTC have accumulated a combined $3.5B since the first week of April, Santiment states.

Behold a 19th-Century Atlas of the United States, Designed for Blind Students (1837) "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

In 1835, the New England Institution for Education of the Blind (now known as Perkins School for the Blind) acquired a printing press.

Under the leadership of its first director, Samuel Gridley Howe, the press was customized in order to print in raised text that allowed blind and visually impaired people to read unassisted.

Inclusivity was a prime motivator for Howe, who strove to make sure his students would not be doomed to inequality or regarded as mere objects of pity.
