Bitcoin (BTC) Stored On Exchanges Plummets Amid Regulatory Uncertainties: Santiment "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

So far, the supply of Bitcoin (BTC) held on exchanges has recently seen a significant decrease, reaching levels last observed in February 2018. This trend underscores a developing pattern in the crypto market traders and investors preferring to secure their digital assets outside of these platforms.

Data from the blockchain intelligence firm, Santiment, confirms this trend, as reported in a recent tweet. It revealed that the decline in Bitcoins supply on exchanges could be attributed to the prevailing uncertainty associated with the legal actions taken by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against cryptocurrency giants, Binance and Coinbase.

Regulatory Tensions Drive Bitcoin Off Exchanges

According to Santiment, the ongoing SEC lawsuits against major exchange platforms have prompted a shift in the dynamics of Bitcoin storage. The firm maintains that as long as these lawsuits persist, Bitcoin holders will continue to seek safer self-custody options, minimizing their reliance on exchange platforms.

As Santiment pointed out:

Bitcoins exchange supply has now fallen to its lowest level since February 2018. Traders continue moving BTC to self-custody during the uncertainty surrounding Binance and Coinbase. As long as these SEC lawsuits loom, this trend should continue.

Notably, the latest reports reveal that Amy Berman Jackson, a District Judge in the United States, has instructed the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Binance.US to find common ground concerning the original order to freeze the exchanges assets.

Highlighting the broader implications of an outright shutdown, Jackson noted in a hearing on June 13:

A total shutdown would yield considerable repercussions, not only for the firm but also for the overall digital asset market.

Online gaming has made it possible to play with someone halfway across the world, but it's limited to video games and phone apps. Wouldn't it be amazing if the same principle could be applied to board games with physical pieces? A new smart board called GoChess could be the answer. This interactive, AI-powered chess board could revolutionize one of the greatest games out there.

GoChess was created by Particula, a Tel Aviv-based company that brought to life the GoCube and GoDice. Their previous productsmuch like GoChessblur the line between the physical and the digital. Our team is excited to introduce GoChessthe worlds first truly robotic chess board with AI technology that provides an unprecedented level of realistic gameplay, the team writes on Kickstarter, where they are actively raising funds.

GoChess looks like any other chess board, but the magic lies in the pieces moving on their own. How do the GoChess pieces move? It all comes down to a patent-pending robotic mechanism. Its built-in magnetic sensors track your moves, and then reflect them on your opponent's board. Even before a match begins, GoChess can set a game on its own, or even restore an unfinished duel.

Though it was created by chess masters, GoChess is actually designed for all kinds of players. It is particularly friendly to amateurs or anyone with a desire to perfect their abilities. Should you need any assistance, you can activate the color-coded coaching lights to suggest your next move. We dont hand you the King, youll still need to earn it yourself, writes the company as a disclaimer. There is still strategy involved and they compare this tool to a mentor whispering expert advice.

If your chess opponent is in the same room as you, you can still ve...

New Mural by Johannes Mundinger in Espelkamp, Germany "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Berlin artist Johannes Mundinger paints Benkhauser Mill. The Benkhauser Mhle is localy known for its select assortment of pet food and gardening articles. The actual mill, which stands at the back of the property, is less conspicuous. This changed last weekend, when Johannes Mundinger painted the southern faade with a typical mural, as part of his project Feldforschung.
Under this title he paints barns and buildings in the countryside, showing his work in environments far from established exhibition venues or big cities, to bring some unexpected perspectives to the visitors. In the motifs, he takes up the stories of residents or the owners and what he learns about the building and environment, about its use and function during the times.
A mural often takes up an entire house faade. Johannes Mundinger also likes to use the entire surface of a faade, so that his abstract works can sometimes be 10 to 15 metres high, as for example at the Art Space ATEA in Mexico City or the mural at the Neulpureun School in Yeoju in Sou...

XRP And Ethereum Seeing Increased Social Media Talk As Bitcoin Loses Interest "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

<p>Data shows XRP and Ethereum are picking up social volume as investors have seemingly started to lose interest in Bitcoin.</p> <h2>Bitcoin Social Volume Shows Drop, Traders Shift Focus Towards XRP & Ethereum

According to data from the on-chain analytics firm Santiment, BTCs social volume has decreased since its surge in March. The <a href= "https://www.newsbtc.com/altcoin/internet-computer-icp-social-dominance-hits-top-in/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">social volume</a> here refers to a metric that tells us about the degree of discussion around a given cryptocurrency that social media users are participating in currently.</p> <p>The indicator measures this in terms of the total number of text documents (that, is the posts on various social media platforms like Reddit, Telegram, and Twitter) that are making mentions of the asset in question.</p> <p>Something to keep in mind is that the social volume doesnt put any weight on the actual amount of discussion taking place inside any post; what this means is that even if a text document mentions the term several times, its contribution towards the metrics value would still remain just one unit.</p> <p>The benefit of this restriction is that it provides a better picture of the amount of talk that the coin is receiving from the general user. If the limitation didnt exist, then a long, isolated post with a large number of references to the cryptocurrency could possibly skew the indicator on its own.</p> <p>Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the social volumes of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin, XRP, Cardano, and Dogecoin over the past year:</p> <p><img alt="Ethereum, XRP, Bitcoin Social Volume" class= "alignnone aligncenter" height="1780" src= "https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fyjhb4paIAAsI6Y?format=jpg&name=4096x4096" width="2774"></p> <p>As displayed in the above graph, the Bitcoin social volume observed a huge surge in March as the assets value first observed a hard plunge and then recovered with a spectacular rally.</p> <p>Sharp price action like this always brings attention to any cryptocurrency, so it makes sense that social media users started participating in huge amounts of discussion around the coin.</p> <p>Since topping out in April, however, the assets price has been in an overall downtrend. The social volume has also been going in a downward trajectory alongside it, although the indicator has observed a small rise during the recent <a href= "https://www.newsbtc.com/bitcoin-news/bitcoin-realized-loss-low-despite-volatility-what-mean/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">volatile event</a>.</p> <p>The high volatility had come as the US SEC had...</p>

She Wont Pitch in Money Toward Her Sister-In-Laws IVF Treatments. Is She Wrong? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

AITAIVFTreatments 1 She Wont Pitch in Money Toward Her Sister In Laws IVF Treatments. Is She Wrong?

Well, this sounds strange

Being asked to pitch in for someone elses IVF treatment?

I cant say Ive ever heard that one before!

But you never know what youre gonna get from Reddits Am I the A**hole? page.

Check out this womans story and see if you think shes out of line for her actions.

AITA Refusing to pitch in money toward my sister-in-laws IVF treatments and telling her and my brother that their future children are not my responsibility?

My brother Reid and sister-in-law Nora have always wanted children. However, they are unable to conceive naturally. Nora had multiple ovarian cysts and eventually needed to have both her ovaries removed as a teenager.

Reid and Nora are in their early thirties and are very urgent about needing to try sooner than never because they say they are approaching an age where IVF success rates start to decline.

Because of Noras past medical issues, I am told that she will need extra care and her round of treatments will be especially expensive; A little over $27,000. Reid and Nora already have $9,000 set aside in savings for IVF treatments.

Theyve raised $1,000 from friends. The rest of the family is pitching in smaller amounts as well. My mother is giving $2,000, Noras sister Lauren is giving $1,000, and her parents are giving $4,000. Which leaves about $10,000 left.

Their insurance will...

What Investors Can Learn From The Bitcoin Maximalist Strategy "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

This is an opinion editorial by Nicholas Otieno, a freelance writer focused on fintech and Bitcoin.

Im aware that Bitcoin has become of great interest to many investors. But despite growing enthusiasm, sharp price volatility continues to worry and confuse many less-experienced investors.

A key way that I believe can help these investors beat their issues with bitcoin volatility is to begin following the principles of Bitcoin Maximalists. Below, Ive highlighted my key takeaways from this philosophy that I think can help more investors find the right path.

Bitcoin Maxis Invest In What They Understand

Maximalists are a group of investors who believe that bitcoin is the only digital asset needed and that its demand will grow into the future. They believe that all other cryptocurrencies are not worth anyones energy or time. From my interpretation, this group includes significant names like Jack Dorsey, Adam Back, Robert Kiyosaki, Michael Saylor and others.

The maxi only invests in what they understand (bitcoin) now and into the future. According to most maximalists, investing in a proven digital asset is safer than doing so for altcoins, which put investors money at greater risk. With the recent rise of bitcoins value, many people seek ways to profit from this asset class without understanding how it works. While investors can make fiat returns with bitcoin in several ways (like trading, staking, lending, mining and gaming), maxis prefer to hold the asset.

Most maximalists are successful in their investment journeys because they understand their financial goals, inherent risks and the overall market. These contrarian investors dont always dont the crowd but instead look for opportunities in places where others may not. Their advocacy for Bitcoin is rooted in a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency and the role it plays in preserving and growing wealth. The maxis endorsement of Bitcoin is a reminder for other investors to think outside the box. The asset provides unique benefits that can help diversify investors portfolios and increase their wealth.

Focus On The Process

The maxis investing model is simple: Buy and hold bitcoin in self-custody wallets and let it accumulate value over time. The maximalists achieve this through discipline, solid intellectual frameworks and sticking to an investment process. Following ones process and staying disciplined minimizes the likelihood of any potential emotion affecting ones investment decisions. Maxis most essential but difficult...

Polkadot Ventures Into Bearish Zone: Whats The Next Move For DOT? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Polkadot (DOT), one of the leading cryptocurrencies in the ever-evolving blockchain ecosystem, is currently navigating a critical juncture in its recovery journey.

Despite showing promising signs of rebounding from previous price corrections, DOTs path to sustained growth is encountering significant roadblocks that could potentially lure sellers back into the market.

Related Reading: XRP Smothered In Red Despite Massive Whale Accumulation, Hinman Docs Release

In this volatile landscape, one must wonder: Will DOT overcome these obstacles and reestablish its bullish momentum, or will it succumb to the pressures of the market, presenting an opportunity for sellers to seize control once again?

Let us delve into the factors that shape DOTs recovery and explore the potential implications for market participants.

Polkadot Recovery Faces Hurdles Amid SEC Lawsuit

Polkadot (DOT) has been caught in the crosshairs of a recent lawsuit involving Binance and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

While the SEC failed to mention DOT as a security, the lawsuit still has sparked concerns and contributed to the substantial decline in its value over the past week.

The markets reaction to this classification, coupled with prevailing macro headwinds, has caused DOTs price to plummet.

However, on June 10, the downward trajectory of DOTs value showed signs of easing, giving the asset a chance to reverse some of its recent losses. Despite this glimmer of hope, the road to recovery remains challenging for Polkadot.

As of now, DOT continues to face a considerable setback, with a seven-day decline of 9.31%. CoinMarketCap reports DOTs current price at $4.65. This substantial...

What Bitcoin And Crypto Traders Can Expect From Todays FOMC Meeting "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The Bitcoin and crypto market faces the most important event of this week and probably the entire month of June today with the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) at 2:00 pm EST (release of the interest rate decision) and the following press conference at 2:30 pm EST. For the first time since the Fed started its rate hike cycle in March 2022, an overwhelming majority expect a pause.

The CME FedWatch tool currently indicates a 95.3% probability that there will be no change at todays meeting. A breather, in other words, keeping interest rates at current levels, would give the central bank more time to observe the effects of its fight against inflation.

And big banks agree with these expectations. As macro analyst Ted (@tedtalksmacro) shows, only one of nine major banks, namely Citi, expects another 25 basis point rate hike. All other major banks such as Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley expect a pause.

Most important, therefore, will be the new dot plot, the Fed members projection of future interest rate path. Any correction to the upside will likely drive equities down and the dollar index (DXY) up, according to the analyst. Bitcoin and crypto are likely to follow this trend.

The US bond market is currently pricing in another rate hike by the Federal Reserve and a rate cut by the end of 2023, as Walter Bloomberg reported today. However, it is likely to be more binary, says Michael Contopoulos, director of fixed income at Richard Bernstein Advisors, in a note.

Either the Fed does not cut, or growth falls off so hard it is cutting a lot, Contopoulos says. His guess is the former. Higher than expected CPI could very well tilt them to a hike. Otherwise, I think they will pause, he says.

The bond market is pricing in 200 basis points of rate cuts in 2024, the expert says, adding that this would mean the recession wont hit until next year. I tend to agree with that.

However, it is not inconceivable that the Fed could hike further after a pause....

Flower pressing is one of the best ways to ensure that you enjoy blooms all year long.

This process uses pressurewhether from a book or a flower pressto flatten petals and preserve them. Although it might sound simple, theres a lot to consider as you work to savor your blooms.

If youve never pressed flowers before, where do you even begin? Well, youre in luck. Artist Anna Zakirova shows how to press flowers in her online class Beyond Bouquets: Turning Pressed Flowers Into One-of-a-Kind Art. Zakirova shares everything you need to know about the time-honored craft.

She begins by reviewing the flowers and tools youll need to start pressing. (Chances are you have some of them in your home.) Zakirova then shares her secrets to pressing a variety of blooms, working from flowers that are easier and moving toward roses and other advanced florals. The class concludes with how to incorporate your newly pressed blooms into framable works of art that you can hang on your wall or give as a gift.

A mystic scene. The deity Kabeiros, worshiped (normally as part of a group, the Kabeiroi) on the Aegean island of Samothrace, is shown identified with Dionysos in his chthonic aspect. He reclines as at a symposium; in his left hand is an egg, suggesting rebirth, while his right hand holds a kantharos (two-handled drinking cup), from which a snake drinks. The snake itself is a common chthonic symbol: its ability to shed its skin was often understood as symbolic of the death and rebirth of initiates into mystery cults. With a current market valuation of $83.37 billion, USDT is by far the most valuable stablecoin in existence. Stablecoin use has soared over the last few years, and Tether has been working hard to diversify its reserve holdings in response to the growing need for trust in the network.

To maintain the liquidity of the stablecoin, cryptocurrency exchange Binance said through Twitter on Monday that it will arrange a swap of 750 million Tether-Tron token pairs for Tether-Ether. Tether has assured that the overall supply of USDT will not increase or decrease as a result of this.

Tether Locks On 1:1 USD Anchor

Tether, the most popular stablecoin, strives to keep a one-to-one exchange rate with the US dollar (USD) at all times. This token swap will involve Tron, the ninth largest cryptocurrency by market cap at $6.3 billion, and Ether, the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap at $210 billion, after Bitcoin.

By exchanging bitcoin from one blockchain to another, or swapping chains, investors can get access to all of the blockchains that back the digital money they possess. Their digital assets can be used on other blockchains that support them.

The move to rebalance the liquidity base of USDT on Ethereum by shifting from the region of surplus to the region of scarcity remains the most reasonable explanation of the various theories being put forward as to why the USDT is being switched.

Meanwhile, the heightened regulatory scrutiny of Binance has been detrimental to the exchange, prompting this strategic shift. Binance is now engaged in litigation with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, highlighting the importance of taking preventative action in light of the current regulatory environment.

The Great Reset The Ends Justify the Means "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Editors Note: This Planned Chaos article is part 2 of a 3-part series that I am releasing this week here at NaradigmShift.substack.com and on PrepareforChange.net simultaneously. I had completed these vital articles in November of last year. I withheld posting them because of the energy that surrounds them. These 3 articles about WWIII, the Great Reset, and Why They Do This? form a thorough explanation of the craziness were seeing in the world today, whos behind it, what they aim to achieve, and why theyre so evil. I feel that it is time where more people will be receptive to this information and it will have a better chance to inform and wake up more people in key positions.

Order From Chaos is their mantra

In 2020, Prepare for Change created a nine-part article series and accompanying 5-video documentary investigative series called Planned Chaos. Planned Chaos was intended to, prior to the 2020 US Presidential Election, get out information that connects the dots as to how the world runs, and, to identify a tactic used by what we call the Cabal to confuse the population and incite fear, called the Hegelian Dialectic. The Hegelian Dialectic is the tactic used for maintaining power or control, or in controlling a narrative, through fear via problem, reaction, and solution. As we covered in our previous article, the world's elite have been creating a new form of psychological warfare. History will tell us that this is nothing short of World War III as the NWO march toward their Great Reset to be born out of the planned chaos. Creating a Satanic world order which worships the Black Sun, is the goal which otherwise is known by Biblical and end times prophecy. They await Lucifers return. By building the 3rd temple to re...

Beginning in the late seventeenth century, aristocratic Englishmen or continental Europeans came of age and went on a Grand Tour. Lasting anything from few a months to a few years, such trips were meant directly to expose their young takers to the legacy of the Renaissance and antiquity. Naturally, most Grand Tour itineraries placed the utmost importance on Italy and Greece; some even went to the Holy Land, as satirized by Mark Twain in The Innocents Abroad. By the time that book was published in 1869, the Grand Tour was out of high fashion but a couple of decades earlier, Joseph-Philibert Girault de Prangey had preserved many of its destinations with a piece of cutting-edge technology known as the camera.

Girault de Prangey went on his first photographic Grand Tour in 1841, when he was in his late thirties. Having already traveled extensively and received an education in both art and law, he was hardly a callow youth in need of refinement. But he was an aristocrat, the sole inheritor of his family fortune, and thus able to devote his life to his passions: travel, arts, and publishing.

FUD Or True: Is Binance Selling Bitcoin To Prop Up BNB? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Despite the recent flood of major news in the crypto sector, one topic is more hotly debated than any other at the moment: Is Binance selling Bitcoin on the spot market to prop up the Binance Coin (BNB)? NewsBTC already reported yesterday that the rumor emerged after crypto trader JW drew attention to eye-catching data.

However, the rumor stands on shaky legs and data. Still, there are a few data points that experts are calling striking. Popular trader @52Skew stated that he can confirm that it looks like BTC is being sold for USDT reserves.

Via Twitter, the crypto trader shared the chart below and explained that USDT reserves have been aggressively pumped into BNB since May 27th. Moreover, BNB is supposedly being sold to BUSD in order to suppress the volatility of BTC:

BUSD is pumped into BTC to suppress downside volatility so BTC can be swapped out for USDT. This is technically market manipulation, Binance is definitely up to something here to prevent BNB from crashing as well as BTC.

Binance selling Bitcoin to save BNB?

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao aka CZ felt compelled to respond to the allegations a few hours ago. Via Twitter, CZ called the traders allegations FUD and questioned the data.

4. Binance has not sold BTC or BNB. We even still have a bag of FTT. It is amazing they can know exactly who sold based on just a price chart involving millions of traders. FUD, writes Zhao, who also accuses the trader of self-serving intentions: Maybe they are shorting who knows.

Spending Time Bunker Family His Wife Says He Spends Too Much Time In His Bunker And Abandoning Her. He Thinks He Should Have His Own Space. Who Do You Think Is Right?

A huge conversation is taking place around (and inside) heterosexual relationships right now, and its centered on the lack of equality when it comes to the physical and mental load of raising the kids and taking care of the house and family.

OP brings it all to light when he asks whether or not hes spending too much time in a bunker designed by his (admittedly crazy) grandfather instead of in the house with his family.

My grandfather was an incredibly talented man who also suffered from paranoid schizophrenia, and he was convinced that the nuclear apocalypse was going to end the human race at some point, so he built his own bunker and then buried the entrance because he was convinced that both the KGB and the CIA were watching him and wanted to keep the bunker a secret. Yes, he was a crazy man.

My dad inherited his house but never lived there, so when I had my first child in 2018 and got married in 2019, my dad made me an incredibly generous offer for the house. I bought computers that were more expensive than the house.

The bunker became kind of an urban legend, mostly because my old grandpa used to tell a lot of crazy stories, but out of curiosity I went looking for it and found the entrance. THE OLD MAN...

XRP Smothered In Red Despite Massive Whale Accumulation, Hinman Docs Release "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

XRP, the cryptocurrency at the center of the continuing legal battle between payment company Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission, faces a crucial turning point with the unsealing of the highly-anticipated Hinman documents on Tuesday.

This development carries significant implications for the future of the cryptocurrency market.

During an address in 2018, former head of the SECs finance division William Hinman essentially declared that Ether (ETH) was not a security since it had become sufficiently decentralized. The documents in question pertain to this speech.

On Tuesday morning, as soon as media outlets had obtained copies of the Hinman speech materials, the price of XRP, Ripples native cryptocurrency, soared to $0.56, a 2023 high.

XRP Soaked In Crimson Amid Hinman Papers Disclosure

Now, red was the dominant color for XRP at the time this article was written.

CoinMarketCap data shows that XRP has traded at $0.51, down 2.31% in the previous 24 hours. Among the hubbub around the release of the Hinman documents, the token also suffered a hit in the weekly timeframe, falling by 2.18%.

According to early reports, the freshly disclosed Hinman records have far-reaching consequences, suggesting a positive outcome for Ripple (XRP) in their lengthy legal struggle against the US regulator.

As stated by Hinman in his talk:

Based on my understanding of the present state of Ether, the Ethereum network and its decentralized structure, current offers and sales of Ether are not securities transactions.

Many news organizations have recently expressed optimism that the information contained inside the Hinman documents could be decisive in Ripples ongoing legal showdown with the SEC.

However, at the moment, such optimism doesnt mean much in terms of XRPs price movements, as seen in the graph below:

Note: Today novelist Cormac McCarthy (All the Pretty Horses, The Road and No Country for Old Men) passed away at the age of 89. Below, were revisiting a favorite post from our archive that focuses on punctuation, a distinctive element of McCarthys writing.

Cormac McCarthy has beenas one 1965 reviewer of his first novel, The Orchard Tree, dubbed hima disciple of William Faulkner. He makes admirable use of Faulknerian traits in his prose, and Id always assumed he inherited his punctuation style from Faulkner as well. But in his very rare 2008 televised interview with Oprah Winfrey, McCarthy cites two other antecedents: James Joyce and forgotten novelist MacKinlay Kantor, whose Andersonville won the Pulitzer Prize in 1955. Joyces influence dominates, and in discussion of punctuation, McCarthy stresses that his minimalist approach works in the interest of maximum clarity. Speaking of Joyce, he says,

James Joyce is a good model for punctuation. He keeps it to an absolute minimum. Theres no reason to blot the page up with weird little marks. I mean, if you write properly you shouldnt have to punctuate.

So what weird little marks does McCarthy allow, or not, and why? Below is a brief summary of his stated rules for punctuation:

Read on to get all the details and see what you think.

AITA for how I phrased my reply to my parents request for financial assistance for my sister.

They had my sister two years after that.

I was always a second thought with them. Our vacations were suited to an infant. Our home was full of stuff for a little kid not a teen. Whatever. I got out of school and my grandpa helped me get an apprenticeship as a welder.

I enjoy the work and the money is great. I have my own rig now and just bought a house.

Image result for modern archaeology teams

We are rapidly coming the conclusion that many supposed facts we were taught in school about history and civilization have been outright lies. Why? In order for The Standard to be upheld many of the scholarly legends of archaeology needing to be preserved. These prima donnas of the secular world of ancient civilization studies sought a unified theory that would be taught despite the gaping holes in the evidence. With satellite technology spotting anomalies on the earth surface, with ground radar able to identify objects below the surface, with the discovery that cities that were destroyed did not perish and disappear but were simply rebuilt on top of the rubble of the former town. This actually hid the remains of the previous structures.

Reoccurring holocausts

What is being found to be the true status of the ancient civilization is that approximately every 5,000 to 5,100 years civilization suffers a devastating blow. Either by a comet strike or asteroid or perhaps major super volcanic eruptions, mankind on the surface of the earth is nearly wiped out and all technological advancement is reverted back to the Stone Age. Perhaps even wars using the type of weaponry we have today have destroyed previous incarnations of mans societies leaving little in the proof that would have revealed what had transpired in the distant past.

More contrasting evidence

One of the pervading myths that Africa was the cradle of civilization where the transitionary primate Lucy was discovered and therefore was one of the earliest examples of early human-like beings is now suspect of being a wrong assumption. Modern archaeological discoveries are leading researchers into a new paradigm of history that there have been several cradles of civilization. From Mesopotamia to Siberia where the Aleutian Island chain could be crossed by foot over the Pacific Ocean basin to the Amazonian cradle of mankind in South America there are simply areas rich in artifacts that have been ignored or undiscovered.

Behind the Scenes of Rijksmuseums Blockbuster Vermeer Show "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

On June 4, Amsterdams Rijksmuseum wrapped the biggest exhibition of Dutch Golden Age master Johannes Vermeer to date. The Vermeer show featured 28 of his 37 known paintings, including seven works that had previously never been displayed for the public before. The exhibition sold out within days of its opening and attracted 650,000 visitors from over 100 countries during its 16-week stint that began February 10, according to reports from the museum.

A new documentary makes the case that, record-smashing numbers aside, the show achieved something far more significant that cannot be measured in ticket sales (although there was nothing trivial about the astronomical eBay resale market, where markups sometimes reached thousands of dollars). On the whole, Vermeer solidified the magnitude...

Pattersons work embraces the lush, colorful, and enticing elements of gardens while offering bold and provocative moments. Kemar Keanu Wynter Cooks Up an Abstract Feast "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Heralds, Kemar Keanu Wynters solo show at Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery in New York, features a suite of nine paintings on paper and considers the artists established abstraction of food in reference to his family history. The exhibition calls to mind the delectable sensory archive of Jamaican heritage in Wynters earlier works, now presented in hexagonal frames that reveal fields of abstraction. Partitioned in an X formation, the works on view harken to flags, family crests, shields, and Tupperware tubs filled with densely textured foods.

Wynter uses heraldry, a system used to regulate coat-of-arm designs and corresponding family legacies, to build upon previously-untold stories about his diasporic Jamaican upbringing in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. His continued inclusion of grommets in the paper brings tactile materiality to the forefront, while saltire-partitioned frames reinforce a sense of robustness in fragility.

Throughout each work, there are four quadrants, two of which contain winding pastel traces, routing the color palettes integral to the harmonious collision at the pieces epicenter. The other two sections blurred nature reconciles these ingredients of color by blending them together almost digesting them. Wynter reflexively tests his boundaries with rebellious markings that ever so slightly slip over the borders. This permeability between sections is particularly notable in (XX.) Cassava Pone (2023), where a bright blue coil flirts with the neighboring panel, a deep brownish blend underscored by that same blue.

Dads Toxic Masculinity Protects Kids From Pedophiles "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

BY: EVITA DUFFY-ALFONSO, In an Instagram post on Thursday, Green Beret combat veteran and dad of three Nick Freitas shared with his followers a 2017 WRTV Indianapolis interview with Jack Reynolds, a pedophile who targeted children in the 1980s and spent 12 years in prison for it. In the interview, Reynolds was asked what characteristics he looked for in children before molesting them. Reynolds responded by saying it was a childs family that mattered more than the actual child. If I thought the father was a threat, I would not approach the child, he said.
Freitas said this revelation means a few things for dads: One, you better be a threat, and two, you better be present enough in your childs life to where they know youre a threat.
And I would say it tells us one more thing thats very interesting, Freitas continued. Theres a lot of people right now that seem hellbent to have sexual conversations with our children without our knowledge. Those are the same people telling us that the very things that make you a threat are manifestations of toxic masculinity. So maybe we shouldnt listen to those people....

Remembering a Giant of Japanese Painting "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

OTSU, Japan Its a fiercely tragic scene: On the left side of the painting, a white heron sprays water on a raging fire, trying desperately to extinguish the flames that engulf a shrine. On the right, the same heron lies on the banks of Lake Biwa, exhausted to death from its valiant effort. Though its based on a local legend, the painting also contains a premonition about its creator. Setsuko Mitsuhashi painted The Requital by the White Heron (1973) just months after losing her dominant right arm to a malignant tumor. Shortly after its completion, she learned that the cancer had spread to her lung. She would survive only to age 35, leaving behind a budding art career, a husband, and two small children. But like the heron, she fought bravely and passionately, painting powerful works like this one until the very end.

At 76 years old, Sajak has earned his retirement. But, he wont be completely stepping away from Wheel of Fortune. Hell remain on as a consultant to the show for three years. His on-camera hosting, however, will mark the end of an era. Sajak has been the face of the show since its syndication it in 1981. Co-host Vanna White has been with him since that time.

Workers Are Mad as Hell and Wont Take It Anymore "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

As the wealth gap in the United States increases, class consciousness becomes an ever more common topic in public discourse. Sean Claffey adds to this discourse by foregrounding real stories and the ripple effects that place working-class people in crisis. With Americonned, Claffey takes us from the founding of the Amazon Labor Union, led by Chris Smalls in Staten Island, all the way to the forced evictions of families in Orlando. Though the film does not offer new revelations about inequality, it does make grassroots activism a viable strategy to sow the seeds of tangible change.

The majority of US wealth is concentrated in the pockets of a select few, and a significant amount of people are suffering the repercussions of that disparity. One of Claffeys subjects is Christina, a single mother of three who lost her truck driving job and had to apply for food stamps. When the person handling her application told her, You drive a truck, so you can go find something else to deliver, Christina responded, Okay, Ill bring my kids to your office and take your job while you find something for me. This exchange exemplifies the often repeated narrative that the problem of resources is on the unemployed individual. Christinas punishment for losing her job is having to advocate for herself to receive public assistance.

The Big Lie About EVs and Green Energy "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Image result for EV and green ebergy hypocrisy

By 2030 the Biden Administration is pushing for 50% of all automobiles to be on the road to be EV's while currently there is not enough minerals or metals to supply that demand by a fraction of what would be needed. The two major ores needed for EV battery production Nickel and Lithium are expensive to mine while Lithium is not even mined in the US, We must depend on China, Canada, or Australia for such supply. Lithium is extremely toxic to the environment and volatile. Some electric vehicles have caught fire while driving while others have burst into flame after a car wreck.

Image result for EV and green ebergy hypocrisy

Hypocrisy

The current electrical grid of the US which is 100 years old cannot handle the additional load of EVs recharging. One might recall governor Gavin Newsome begging California residents not to recharge the very EVs hed urged them to buy when the California grid was facing near overloads and shut downs. Rule number one-whenever you ask the government to solve a problem chances are it will only get worse.

Image result for EV and green ebergy hypocrisy

The numbers dont add up

To build an internal combustion engine car where the US has all needed materials it can produce while controlling emission controls has proven to be convenient, at reasonable cost, and using secure resources makes dependable sense. However, with the required material to make EV batteries that on a car will weigh 1400 pounds but on an 18 wheeler truck would weigh 3,600 pounds or three tons of vehicle weight is not practical at all. Recently an EV truck manufacturer requested a 5 megawatt electrical supply. City officials came out thinking it was a joke as the entire city ran on only 2 megawatts of power. When to make a car alone will cause 30 times the carbon footprint of building a conventional internal combustion car.

Image result for unaffordable EV's

Unaffordable

Currently, a typical EV sedan will cost $60,000.00 in todays dollar. Few Americans can afford that price tag. If the long range goal of the required EPA regulations of 90% of automobiles being EVs by 2050 the estimated reduction in carbon emissions and pollution will only amount to .0003 in comparison to present levels of today. Remember that carbon dioxi...

Monumental Classical Figures and Graffiti Converge in New Murals by PichiAvo "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

PichiAvo (previously) continue to scale multistory buildings from Ontario to Tahiti, recently painting a series of vibrant new murals. Known for combining figures from Greek mythology with spraypainted tags synonymous with graffiti, the Valencia-based duo often work in vibrant jewel tones, especially warm pinks and violets shadowed by cool blues. Rendered in a style evocative of ancient marble statues, classically idealized portrayals of deities like Mercury and Venus are intertwined with contemporary street art. For a recent project back in the pairs hometown, the god of wine, Bacchus, hoists a bunch of grapes on a wall of the aptly named Mythic Hotel.

During extensive travels, PichiAvo have found ways to adapt what they call urbanmythology, especially as it relates to specific locations. A diptych on two buildings in Paea, Tahiti, taps into a Tahitian legend about the prince of neighboring Papar and the prince of Paeas son fighting for control of the land in a javelin duel, thus determining the borders between the two communities. And taking the theme of the wall indoors, an ongoing body of work they call Diaspasis turns raw plasterboard into a canvas, emphasizing crumbled edges as if it has been chiseled and removed from a...

- the Germans did in face established bases there. These bases were set up by the German military in order for German scientists to conduct the most secret of secret experiments there. Mainly dealing with antigravitic propulsion and time dialation experiments.
These were elite scientific groups employed by Hitler, but did not necessarily follow the Nazi idealogy. When it became obvious Germany was about to lose the war, these groups fled to Antarctica. Their descendants still live there today and possess antigravitic craft and advanced weaponry.

- Remains of Atlantis have been discovered. They also had advanced technology. Mainly a crystal based technology capable of storing massive amounts of data, energy production and propulsion.

- Remains of 2 different alien civilizations have been found. One estimated to have been established 300,000 years ago and the other 50,000 years ago.

Artist Explores the Concept of Dual Identities in Series of Textile Portraits

Textile Art by Gio Swaby

Gio Swaby, Together We Bloom 3, 2023, cotton fabric and thread sewn on muslin, 64 x 52 inches. (Courtesy of Claire Oliver Gallery)

Moving to a new country can be invigorating and isolating all at once. When Bahamian artist Gio Swaby relocated to Canada, she back home. Her new exhibition I Will Blossom Anyway explores the concept of dual identities experienced by immigrants with a series of self-portraits and a grid work of nine silhouettes.

In this series, I reflected a lot on my own path and started to recognize how many parts of myself exist in the in-between spaces. In-between many cultures, being born and raised in The Bahamas, and spending much of my adult life in Canadian cities, Swaby says. Each piece is made with a needle and thread and offers an introspective view of her journey. The use of textile materials is a nod to her seamstress mother and the traditional domestic practice of sewing. Where her art differs, however, is in the life-size scale and the slightly unfinished style of leaving loose threads and knots dangling on the portraits, elevating what is normally regarded as imperfections.

Swaby's use of thread creates pencil-like drawings that are loose and expressive. The printed fabrics add an element of eccentricity and personal style, all reflective of her identity. In-between many selves, having experienced many versions of who I am today and feeling conflicted about which parts to share and which parts to keep hiddenwho I should be at home in The Bahamas, and who I should be at home in Toronto, Swaby continues. This work marks an exploration of those in-between spaces and multiple selvesit is a visual manifestation of my ongoing journey of striving to approach all of these parts with acceptance and love....

Mel Gibson is living in fear for his life after vowing to expose an elite pedophile ring operating at the heart of the Hollywood system. Mel Gibson enraged the establishment in 2017 by going on record denouncing Hollywood as a den of parasites who feast on the blood of kids.

The mainstream media quickly pounced on Gibsons revelations, deployed fact checkers including Snopes to declare the comments fake news, and proceeded to delete every video and article from the internet. When a prank goes incredibly well, it leaves everyone wanting to send their praise to the mastermind behind it all. But sometimes, you can be surprised by who is really pulling the strings. Jolee Windnagle (@jonichole84) posted a video on TikTok presenting dozens of dads showing up to their kids' 8th grade graduation wearing the exact same purple shirt. The success of this prank had many scratching their heads. Was it the dads' idea? Was it the kids?

The video is part of a trend on TikTok, aptly known as the same shirt prank. While many thought the fathers may have coordinated this hilarious fashion faux pas to put a smile on their kids' faces, their bewildered looks reveal they are not in on it. After some theorizing, many have come up with the correct answerit was the wives/moms who came up with the plan!

Knowing that their partners would wear whatever they suggested for them, the mothers decided to pull the ultimate prank. While most people who have tried this trendy trick have managed to get maybe two, five or 10 guys tops to wear the same shirt, the moms of this 8th grade class got over 40 dads to take the bait and show up in matching outfits.

In the footage, we first see Windgale's husband Wayne walking into the school. As the video progresses, families fill the venue with a sea of purple. Each dad slowly begins to realize something is off. The reactions go from nervous smiles and silent staring to plain old confusion. Eventually, the jig is up and the dads are all smiles, realizing they've been part of an elaborate joke. They can all be seen chatting with one another and, in the end, they all took a picture together posing proudly with their matching s...

The Mountaintop Christ the Redeemer Statue Cradles the Moon in Rio de Janeiro "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

All images  Leonardo Sens, shared with permission

Since the early 20th century, the massive Christ the Redeemer statue has stood at the tip of the Corcovado mountain, spreading his arms and overlooking Rio de Janeiro. Scaling nearly 40 meters from the base of its pedestal to the top of the figures head, the art deco sculpture is a landmark in Tijuca National Park and a busy destination for tourists. Brazilian photographer Leonardo Sens has also set his sights on the cultural icon in recent years, hoping to catch a glimpse of the moon perfectly nestled within Christs hands.

After three years of observing celestial patterns and tracking the satellites position, Sens successfully captured the sought-after shot on June 4. According to PetaPixel, he positioned himself on Icara Beach, which is about seven miles from the statue, and photographed the moon just as it passed behind the figure, who appears to hold the glowing orb in his outstretched palms in an act of divine alignment.

Decentralized Social Networking App Damus Set To Be Removed From Apple's App Store "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In a surprising turn of events, Damus, the popular decentralized social networking app built on Nostr, is facing removal from Apple's App Store. Apple claims that Damus violates their guidelines by allowing users to send "tips" (zaps) associated with receiving content from digital content creators through a mechanism other than in-app purchase. This violation of Guideline 3.1.1 - Business - Payments - In-App Purchase has prompted Apple to take action, according to the message sent to Damus creator William Casarin.

The news comes at a critical time for Damus and its creator, who was set to give a talk at the Oslo Freedom Forum on how decentralized social networks, integrated with lightning technology, can bring financial freedom to the masses. The impending removal from the App Store raises concerns about the freedom to transact peer-to-peer on the platform and has broader implications for apps that rely on Lightning integration and value-for-value models on the app store.

In an official communication from Apple's App Review, Damus received notice that an update compliant with the App Store Review Guidelines must be submitted within 14 days to ensure the app's availability. Failure to comply within the given timeframe will result in the app being removed from sale. Additionally, if Damus is found to be out of compliance and rejected even after the 14-day period, it will remain unavailable until a compliant update is submitted, approved, and released.

The removal of Damus from the App Store would not only impact its current users but also affect external and internal testing through the TestFlight version. All public TestFlight links will cease to function if the app is taken down.

This development raises questions about the future of apps with Lightning integration and the potential limitations on peer-to-peer transactions on Apple's platform. It remains to be seen how Damus and its creator will respond to this setback and whether they can find a solution that aligns with Apple's guidelines while maintaining the core principles of decentralization and financial freedom.

One interesting note is that Twitter allows for tips through the Lightning Network if enabled on a profile, which many large accounts do have. It is unclear how this function differs from the zap feature within Damus, as both utilize Lightning and do not rely on in-app purchases.

In the face of uncertainty, Casarin expressed his concerns, stating, "If people can't transact freely p2p on their platform, this has huge implications for the entire ecosystem of apps with lightning integration and v4v." The statement reflects the gravity of the situation and the potential ramifications for the broa...

War Diary "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Alba de Cspedes, 1965. Courtesy of Wikimedia Commons.

On September 8, 1943, Italy surrendered to the Allies, and the Germans, who had already occupied the north of Italy, immediately moved to take over the rest of the country. Just days later, they invaded Rome. Meanwhile, British and American forces had landed in the south and were slowly moving northward.

The writer Alba de Cspedes and her companion (and later her husband), Franco Bounous, were living in Rome. De Cspedes had been jailed briefly by Mussolini for antifascist activities; Bounous was a diplomat and did not want to collaborate with the Germans. As conditions in the city worsened, becoming more chaotic and more dangerous, de Cspedes and Bounous decided to leave. On September 23, secretly, at night, they departed, each with a suitcase, de Cspedes wrote to her mother, thinking wed be gone a few days, that Rome would soon be liberated. They escaped to a village in Abruzzo, east of the city, where they expected they would be able to wait in tranquility. But the Germans showed up, and they fled again, to a tiny village in the mountains nearby, Torricella Peligna.

This diary recounts the days between October 18, when they had to flee Torricella and go into hiding in the woods, and November 19, when they decided to try to get through the German lines to reach the safety of the Allied-occupied zone. De Cspedes later wrote, Life had gradually become more unbearable, the Germans were coming at night, too. So we decided to risk it all and cross the lines, reaching the Anglo-American troops. And safety. We did that, walking at night, November 20  Guided by a local farmer, Fioravante, they managed to cross the Sangro river, which marked the German front line, and arrive in the Allied zone. From there they were taken in a farm cart to Bari, where de Cspedes began broadcasting for the antifascist station Radio Bari. Eventually she and Bounous moved to Naples and, finally, returned to Rome, after it had been liberated by the Allies in June of 1944.

Watch Kids Erupt in an Impromptu Sing-Along as 7-Year-Old Performs in Talent Show "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Watch Kids Erupt in an Impromptu Sing-Along as 7-Year-Old Performs in Talent Show

Kid Singing

Photo: Screenshot from YouTube

A 7-year-old named Cairo took to the stage at his schools talent show dressed as Bowser from the video game Super Mario Brothers. Sitting at a keyboard, he began singing Peaches from The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which was inspired by the game and released in theaters earlier in 2023. But thats not all that happened during this performance.

What was supposed to be a solo rendition from Cairo quickly became a whole-audience sing-along led by the young boy. The other kids belted the lyrics and waved their arms. When Cairo finished his performance, the entire audience erupted into thunderous applause. Luckily, an audience member recorded and shared the adorable scene on YouTube, and its no surprise that the wholesome moment has gone viral.

Peaches was first sung by actor Jack Black who voiced Bowser in the film. Hopefully, the videos popularity will reach him, too; Cairo even wore the same costume that Black wore when he appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Watch Cairos performance below. If you know the song, feel free to sing along.

Enigmatic Figures Are Frozen in Time in Hans Op de Beecks Lifelike, Monochromatic Sculptures "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

A sculpture of a boxer seated on the ground, coated in gray.

Seated on the floor with an arm resting on her knee, an exhausted boxer recovers from physical exertion in Hans Op de Beecks newest life-size sculpture, Hlne. Coated in the artists signature shade of gray, the work captures the interplay of light and shadow to reveal subtle folds of fabric, padding, and the figuress physical features. Op de Beeck has always paid special attention to the moment when we let go of our social roles and daily worries and surrender to a moment when we are nobody and nowhere for a while, a statement says, when we slip into the unknown of the subconscious.

A range of dualities are at the core of Op de Beecks practice, such as wakefulness and sleep, motion and stillness, or life and death. Danse Macabre, for example, juxtaposes the playful, nostalgic motif of a baroque carousel with skull ornamentation and a spectral skeleton in a long dress, symbolically examining the cycle of life and relationships between the present and the past, vitality and mortality, and joy and horror.

Op de Beecks monumental sculptures (previously) often focus on a central, heroic figure, like The Boatman or The Horseman, below, which depict lithe, e...

Fishermen selling fresh fish on the road side "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

I like food truck and stall and like buying from local farmers and fishermen. It was getting late when I was going home from the airport, but the guy was still there and he still had fish. So I grabbed a bag of fresh ahi (tuna) belly, and whipped some up for dinner.

Tom Hanks is a traitor to the United States "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Tom Hanks is a traitor to the United States. He should be hanged, drawn and quartered.

He comes out with this "How to rig an election" excuse for a movie, and hides behind the thin veil of the historic 1876 election, when we know damn well that he's talking about the 2024 election, due to the timing of the upcoming election:

Big F*cking Q "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Can anyone still get the old school Nyquil anymore? The Nyquil they sell now-a-days is crap.

I've been looking around for it, and I can't find it anywhere. The methheads ruined it for me. They don't even sell it on ebay.

If you did find some dark corner of the the internet to buy it, it would probably laced with fentynal or some sh*t.

BEWARE: AI is learning to MANIPULATE YOU just like humans can "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

When many Americans think of artificial intelligence, they think of devices like Siri or Alexa. But thats so 2010, Glenn explains. In fact, AI is FAR beyond those capabilities, and its learning more skills each day some of which truly are terrifying to imagine. In this clip, Glenn recaps a recent conversation he had with Tristan Harris, a former design ethicist at Google. Glenn explains that were now in second contact with A.I., and how A.I. is learning to MANIPULATE us just like fellow humans can
