I was inspired to make this project because I love to garden but have neuropathy in my extremities making it very difficult to get off the ground once there. I have made myself 6 of these and am so pleased that I thought I'd share the pattern. Perfect cuts are unnecessary as long as you are within 1/4 inch you will be okay.

LUNC Continues Downward Trend Despite Testnet Upgrade "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Recently, the Terra Classic ecosystem has been in the spotlight due to its developmental efforts, with the testnet upgrade to expectations, this recent improvement hasnt translated into the price of the Terra Luna Classic token (LUNC).

Since the start of February, the price of Terra Luna Classic has been on a downward trend. And it can be said that the projects recent growth hasnt done much to halt this decline.

LUNC Price Falls By 15% In Single Week

Over the past seven days, the Terra Luna Classic market has experienced a drastic price decline, losing more than 15% of its value. This bearish period was preceded by a week in which the price of LUNC was relatively stable, moving in a horizontal direction.

However, a broader look at the market shows that Terra Luna Classic has been on a downward trend in the past few months. Since the beginning of February, the token has recorded a price fall of nearly 53%.

According to data from CoinGecko, LUNC is currently valued at $0.00009549. In the past 24 hours, the value of this cryptocurrency has dropped by about 5%, falling beneath the crucial $0.0001 level in that time.

LUNC

The last time Terra Luna Classic made it below this price point can be traced back to August 2022 the aftermath of the Terra ecosystem collapse. With the $0.0001 level failing to hold, the token would hope to find rest at its next support level of $0.00009275, even though the current sentiment is strongly bearish.

L1JTF Proposes Mainnet Upgrade To V2.0.0

In other news, the L1 Joint Task Force team just completed the upgrade of the rebel-2 testnet to v2.0.0, integrating various new features for better functionality and security. Notably, this serves as a preliminary step towards the Terra Classic mainnet upgrade.

The testnet was upgraded to v.2.0.0 with Cosmos SDK v0.45 and will provide a secure and controlled environment for the L1 team to test upgrades on the mainnet. The testnet upgrade, completed on the 4th of May, was announced on Twitter by Till, a part-time developer for the L1 team.

Thrifting can lead to some seriously impressive finds. For the luckiest buyers, selecting second-hand can mean landing a treasure that might not look like much but is worth hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars. This was the case for a man named Justin Miller. In February 2023, the 33-year-old paid $50 for a vintage chair he found on Facebook Marketplace. Confident about his knack for spotting special items, he figured there was something about the chairbut the actual value of the piece could be higher than anyone expected.

Miller, who has years of experience as a design producer for TV shows, spends hours every day perusing Facebook Marketplace. One day, he saw a listing for a grand wingbacked chair. Figuring it could be worth some money due to its unique appearance, he did some research. According to the viral Tiktok in which he recounted the experience, a quick Google search revealed that it was a Frits Henningsen chair and similar pieces had sold for thousands of dollars.

The chair had been listed by a woman tasked with selling the unwanted items of a Beverly Hills couple in exchange for a part of the profits. While she initially set out to do a yard sale, a passerby informed her that sales of the kind weren't allowed in the neighborhood. Prioritizing getting rid of everything quickly over making big bucks, she listed the objects on Facebook Marketplace with a same-day pick-up.

Miller did ponder about disclosing the value of the chair with the seller, as he didn't want to feel like he was taking advantage of someone. However, the woman was completely aware of the chair's value. This chair's worth a lotjust so you know, she told him.

Since his apartment is too small for the chair, he took...

Classic-Inspired Ceramic Vessels Are Decorated With 360 Degrees of Stories "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Classic-Inspired Ceramic Vessels Are Decorated With 360 Degrees of Stories

Terracotta Blues Ceramics by Clara Holt

For centuries, pottery has not only served as functional tools but also as works of art. Artist Clara Holt collaborates with Chiara Zoppei to continue this tradition. Together, they create Terracotta Blues. This striking series of blue and red ceramic pieces recall ancient aesthetics from Greece and Italy. Etched into these beautiful vases are dreamy narratives inspired by myths, making them a vision to behold.

In this project, Zoppeiwho works as a ceramist in Milanproduced a series of terracotta ceramics based on classical forms. These vases were then passed onto Holt, who embellished their surface with her illustrations. To do this, she employed the sgraffito technique, where a layer of slip (a mixture of clay, pigment, and water) is applied over the surface of the pot. Then, she used a sharp tool to scratch and carve the design, which slowly revealed the natural color of the clay vessel below. This resulted in the striking combination of blue slip and natural terracotta red.

As for what Holt etches into the vases, there are many identifiable figures such as mermaids and winged humans, as well as numerous animals. In Terracotta Blues, there is no clear and recognizable subject, no precise story, Holt explains to My Modern Met. They are dreamlike scenes, imaginary characters that leave room for interpretation. For example, in one vase there is a mermaid hypnotized by a jellyfish; in another, a warrior mermaid armed with a sword and shield against two giant octopuses This freedom allows viewers to immerse themselves in these 360 artworks and find the motifs that speak to them.

The Lion of Chaeronea "IndyWatch Feed Literature"

Planning a summer journey to Palermo, Sicily. I had thought I might go to Portugal, or perhaps Scotland, but after a dozen years absence the siren song of la mia bella Italia was too strong to resist. Itll be a good base from which to explore the ruins at Eryx and Segesta, and if Im feeling particularly bold, I might even take a side jaunt to Malta. In the meantime, Im brushing up on my Italian. (I realize the Italian Im practicing is actually Tuscan, and the Sicilian dialect is quite different, but one must walk before one can run.)

I have to confess, sometimes I wish I could just chuck everything and wander aimlessly around the Mediterranean. I feel at home there in a way that I really dont in the States. Ah, well. A man can always dream.

Heres what we came up with:</p> <ul> <li>Beachy / Coastal Theme</li> <li>Mature enough that she will get many years of use</li> <li>Not damaging to floor / existing trim</li> <li>Plenty of storage & play area

  • Electrical for outlets and lights

As this list came together, I quickly realized that this wasnt going to be a weekend project. Lyrical Illustrations Celebrate the Diversity of Wildlife and the Joy of Observation

Watercolor Illustrations by Vitor Velez

Before photography, it was up to artists to document plants and animals in scientific illustrations. Poland-based artist Vitor Velez draws inspiration from this age-old practice in his series of mixed-media illustrations. Using a combination of colored pencils, pens, and watercolors, he captures a breadth of wildlife.

From foxes to whales, these drawings cover a variety of species. Velez traces his love for nature to his childhood, where he honed his skills by copying illustrations from encyclopedias. Now, he makes his own notes that border the colorful portraits of animals both large and small. His artistic handwriting flies across the page, sometimes merging with the drawings in an aesthetic that is all his own.

In addition to rendering the full body of these animals, Velez also makes smaller illustrations of the details, like eyes and pawprints, which demonstrate his keen observation.

I draw parallels between my art and scientific illustration with regard to the level of attention to the level of detail and singular characteristics of each animal I paint, but I also pursue a personal interpretation beyond a mere realistic representation, Velez tells My Modern Met. Through my journey, I have learned that every single creature holds its own distinct beauty, and I find myself falling in love with every single one I spend time observing and sketching.

You can learn how to purchase original art and keep up to date with Velez's newest projects by following his Instagram.

The Target Date for Americas Depopulation Has Been Set "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

This article was originally written in 2014.
The Internet is filled with revelations of how the global elite want to depopulate humanity by 90%. Landmarks such as the Georgia Guidestones are top of the evidence list for proof of this agenda. There is an emerging body of evidence that the Georgia Guidestones are a correct representation of this idea.

Where ever you find a bold new initiative related to the plans of the global elite, you will find documentation arising from various think tank organizations in support of these goals. With regard to the coming forced subjugation of the American population to the stack and pack megacities, two important papers, the 3D: Infrastructure for Californias Future and the National Academy of Public Administrations Memos to National Leaders: Partnerships as Fiscal Policy, jump to the front of the line in espousing the megacities concept. Lido DAO Records Biggest Network Transaction In 2 Years Santiment "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

DeFi staking protocol Lido DAO (LDO) has just experienced its largest network transaction in two years, according to a report by Santiment.

The popular on-chain analytics firm states that on May 5, $135 million worth of LDO tokens were transferred from one self-custody wallet to another.

According to Santiment, 70 million LDO tokens were moved in this transaction, marking the networks biggest coin transfer since June 2021 and its eighth-largest transfer of all time.

Lido

Lido DAO is the most prominent liquid staking platform allowing users to effortlessly participate in staking on several PoS networks, including Ethereum (ETH), Polygon (MATIC), Polkadot (DOT), Solana (SOL), and Kusama (KSM).

That said, the LDO whale transaction that occurred earlier today may have drawn much attention to the network; however, this is yet to elicit any positive price effect on the token.

According to data by Coingecko, LDO is currently trading at $1.85, recording a 0.34% decline in the last 24 hours and an 11.7% cumulative loss in the past week. Additionally, the tokens daily trading volume is down by 47.26% to a value of $31.95 million.

However, this current bearish form does not taint what has been a remarkable year for the Lido protocol.

Woman Wonders Whether Its OK To Lie About What Youre Feeding Someone If Its Good For Them "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Go ahead and buckle up, folks, because this one is a doozy.

Youve heard of those cookbooks that help moms hide vegetables in their kids food, right? As a mom, youve probably been tempted to try a few of the recipes, if you havent aleady.

What if you felt the need to use them on your adult partner instead?

Thats the situation that OP found herself in, as her boyfriend refused to eat vegetables pretty much ever.

I (28f) have been with my boyfriend (36f) for a year and we moved in together about 4 months ago.

One of the first things I noticed about my boyfriend was that he never really ate vegetables. He would sometimes eat them if we were out at a restaurant and they came as part of his meal. But he never ate them when I cooked for him.

Originally I thought that maybe my cooking was the problem so I asked him if he enjoyed my food and he told me he loves my cooking. On nights I didnt cook for him, he ate exclusively frozen foods and never ate the vegetables in those either.

He has health problems and vitamin deficiencies that she believed were the result, so after a while, she began to sneak veggies into his food. He ate it, never complained, and his health even began to improve.

Even after he told her of the improvements to his health, she kept her mouth shut about what she believed was the reason.

Naturally, he has some health issues. Vitamin deficiencies etc. he had phrased it to me as if he was somehow just genetically unlucky. I believed it for a while bc idk how that stuff works but eventually it became clear to me its because he voluntarily eats a vegetable like once a month.

6 months ago I started hiding vegetables in my cooking. If I was making pasta Id put the vegetables in Id usually put in for myself, then take half out an...

If We Can Ignore Polarization, Bitcoin Will Fix Bipartisan Authoritarianism "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

This is an opinion editorial by Mickey Koss, a West Point graduate with a degree in economics. He spent four years in the infantry before transitioning to the Finance Corps.

Whether its the Patriot Act, COVID-19 measures or the proposed RESTRICT Act, it seems that the only thing U.S. politicians can agree on is that taking away freedoms is essential. Its for your own safety, you see. And we cant forget about security, too. Who wouldnt want to be safe and secure?

The unilateral agreement around these measures has made the phrase bipartisan a warning sign in my eyes and I am increasingly concerned about the direction were moving.

Bread, Circuses And Conflict

I was criticized on NOSTR recently for covering environmentalist Bitcoiners, the justification being that the environmentalist movement is a net negative for society. While I understand where this individual who criticized me is coming from, I think there are some deeper concerns at hand hidden behind their comments.

After some reflection, I came to a realization: People are not really concerned with the environmentalist movement. In fact, people are not really concerned about politics at all. Most political disagreements are surface-level proxy wars for a much deeper argument: the argument over control.

Who is going to have control? What are they going to use it for? How is this going to affect my life?

As governments expand at increasing rates, the fear over who has control grows along with it. I think this is the root of the polarization were seeing today. The real concern is about central planners and central planning. Everything else is a distraction. I think thats the real psyop.

Bitcoin Defunds Central Planners

As more and more people adopt bitcoin as their savings vehicle, we can begin to grow the parallel economy and take the exorbitant privilege of money printing out of the hands of those who would seek to abuse it.

In doing so, we can slowly but surely defund the central planners that so many are fearful of. In doing so, we can reduce the level of control that keeps us up at night. In doing so, we can reduce the amount of political polarization that is seemingly tearing the country apart.

I think that too many are fighting the wrong fight and missing the forest for the trees. If Bitcoin is truly incorruptible, then why do you care who chooses to support i...

Crypto Firms Plans To Leave The US Speak Imminent Doom, Says Tim Draper "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The United States is gradually becoming too hot for crypto firms to operate due to unclear and stringent regulatory approaches. For instance, a recent development that sparked an outcry was the proposal to impose a 30% excise tax on crypto-mining facilities.

US President Joe Bidens budget proposal presented a phased-in tax on the electricity used by crypto mining firms. This tax and the Securities and Exchange Commissions enforcement actions may push many top crypto firms and startups to consider offshore operations. As such, Tim Draper foresees a massive departure from the US that might crash its economy.

US Unclear Regulatory Environment Is Leading To Massive Crypto Exodus

In a Twitter post, the founder of DFJvc, Draper mentioned that Silicon Valley startups are relocating operations to Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

He further stated that Gemini and Coinbase are moving out of the US due to the regulatory pressure on their operations. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong hinted at the same outcome in an April conference organized by the Innovative Finance industry body.

While speaking, Armstrong stated that the Bahamas-based FTX exchange that crashed in 2022 shows the need for clear crypto regulations. As such, the industry needs clear regulations in the US and UK, or more firms will establish operations in offshore havens.

New York Is Losing Blockchain Development Leadership

Draper also pointed out that countries like Singapore, Dubai, and London gradually overtake New York in blockchain development. A report by Global Media Insight on March 29, 2023, pitched the UAE as the most digital-friendly country in the world.

Bitcoin Struggles To Break $30,000 Resistance Level: Heres Why "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The cryptocurrency market has been trading sideways in recent weeks, with the leading token, Bitcoin, following a similar pattern. Despite numerous attempts in April, Bitcoin has struggled to break the $31,000 mark. The price is blocked by its daily Kijun at around $29,100 and by its psychological resistance at $30,000.

A correction to around $25,000 could be preferred to prepare for an extended bull run as long as this zone blocks prices. This would correspond to a retest of the same resistance level at the beginning of the year and can be confirmed as the support level.

Bitcoin struggling to surpass its resitance level: source@tradingview

In the event of a break through the $31,000 mark, then Bitcoin could continue to climb towards $33,500. This would provide the next resistance level ahead of a potential ascent to $40,000. However, if the bears persist below $25.000, Bitcoin risks breaking the price spread, which could cause the price to fall below the $18,000 mark.

Bullish Sentiment Based On External Factors

Bitcoin is in good stead and could make a major bull run due to the following factors. First, the banking crisis is plaguing the United States and other parts of the world. Secondly, there is the decoupling between BTC and traditional markets. Finally, we can mention the brake on interest rates the US Federal Reserve promised.

The Silicon Valley Bank bankruptcy in early March is still wreaking havoc on the industry, with many Americans scared of placing their money in the Bank. Bitcoins recent price surge has coincided with this, showing its flexibility as digital gold.

Coinbase Might Soon Offer Banking-Like Services, Claims Ripple Board Member "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The second-largest crypto exchange, Coinbase, is still progressing despite the US Securities and Exchange Commissions enforcement action against it.

As such, a Ripple board member and an angel investor at PartyDAO, Asheesh Birla, predict it might offer crypto-enabled banking services.

Coinbase Is Transitioning From Crypto Exchange

In a Twitter thread, Birla recounted Coinbases mission, vision, and value proposition in the crypto industry, concluding that it might offer banking-like services backed by crypto.

According to the angel investor, the second largest exchange aims at building the crypto economy. This financial system will be accessible, efficient, transparent, powered by crypto, and fair to all users.

Birla further revealed that Coinbases 2023 quarter-one report showed that more of the exchanges revenues came from deposits through interest income, custodial fees, and blockchain rewards. These revenue streams were classified under subscription and services.

Based on the quarterly report, Birla pointed out USDC deposits interest at $199 million, representing 18% of all Coinbase revenue.

Also, the exchanges revenue gradually moves from consumer transactions to institutional consumers with high margins. Institutional trading revenue spiked by 67% from its 2022 Q4 amount.

The Ripple board member also noted that Coinbase now benefits from banking-like revenues not entirely dependent on the crypto market.

Banking Crisis Might Push Alternative Services

While concluding his post, Birla wondered if the time has come for consumers and institutions to turn to alternative services.

Notably, the recent banking crisis that led to the crash of Silvergate, Silicon Valley, and Signature Bank has reduced peoples trust in the traditional financial system.

Birla cited a recent Bloomberg Opinion piece by Matt Levine titled; Nobody Trusts Banks Now, asking if the timing is right for everyone to move on to alternatives.

In the piece, Levine described banking operations strategies in two ways. First, banks borrow short to lend long. Secondly, they borrow long to lend long. In the first strategy, banks use customers deposits subject to fast withdrawals to buy bonds and fund loans.

Ukraine "Blasphemes" Hindu Goddess Kali, Sparking Indian Backlash "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Ukraines Ministry of Defense caused a stir among Indian netizens after tweeting a photo portraying the Indian goddess Kali morphed over a blast fume on April 30th, deeming it Hinduphobic and disrespectful.

The official Twitter account of Ukraines Ministry of Defense posted the image showing Kali superimposed over the fumes. The picture depicted the Hindu goddess of war and destruction posing awkwardly with her tongue sticking out and having a Marilyn Monroe-like upskirt moment, with a wreath of skulls around her neck.

The image, posted with the caption Work of art, was created by Ukrainian artist Maksym Palenko, whose artworks won many prestigious awards, including the Shevchenko National Prize, Ukraines most significant honor.

The tweet garnered strong, adverse reactions from many Indian netizens, who saw the photo as blasphemous and disrespectful to Hinduism. They were angry about the caricature-like depiction of Kali, who was considered to be an important figure in the religion. The blast fume also resembled the goddesss blue skin, fueling the fire.

Iran in Turmoil: Islamic Cleric Assassinated in Brazen Daylight Attack "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

As the protests against the Islamic Republic in Iran enter their eighth month after the death of Mahsa Amini in September 2022 under police custody, many in the country are shocked to learn about the assassination of a senior cleric in a bank on April 26.

Ayatollah Abbas Ali Soleimani was assassinated inside a bank in Babolsar in Irans Mazandaran province, just north of Irans capital, Tehran.

Irans state television initially reported that a man overpowered a guard and shot the cleric. State media also reported an account from an eyewitness, saying that the assassin grabbed a guard's gun and opened fire, killing Soleimani while injuring three others.

However, surveillance camera footage later shared by Iranian media showed the gunman walking around holding a gun inside the bank with Soleimani sitting down. After a few minutes, the suspect shot Soleimani with his rifle.

A window behind Soleimani was shattered, and his turban fell off after he was shot. One of the bystanders, wearing a blue uniform, was seen shocked and staring at the assailant. He approached the assailant, while another bystander in a green uniform went out of the counter and approached him. The footage showed the two trying to grab and contain the assailant before it ended.

The bulk sale of this size stands at $20 billion in the past week.

Moreover, data also shows that large holders control 35% of ADAs total supply. These entities act as a proxy to institutional players and whale activities, showing how they may be investing and positioning.

While it is unclear what knowledge the Cardano whales have, their activities suggest that they are buying the dip. This is considering that ADA is still down around 87% from 2021 peaks.

Besides whales buying in bulk, Cardanos ecosystem is showing promising signs, with the blockchain remaining one of the most highly developed and used.

According to Santiment, 2.15 billion transactions were processed on Cardano. Typically, active networks, in both development and use, point to quality and confidence. The more there are projects and addresses, the higher the odds of the platforms coin finding support.

The spike in activity over the past few months, even with the general market lull, could be due to various non-fungible token (NFT) and decentralized finance (DeFi) projects launching. Djed, an algorithmic stablecoin, is already live on the mainnet. DeFi and NFT projects look to take advantage of Cardanos EUTXO model. This system mirrors how Bitcoin functions but adds a layer of smart contracting, just like Ethereum.

However, one of the main developments of Cardan...

South Africa The First Country Built on Critical Race Theory Officially Implodes "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

South Africa is disintegrating. After the jailing of Jacob Zuma, supporters of the former president took to the streets, ostensibly to protest but actually to simply plunder at will. The official death toll already runs into the dozens, but in a country as violent as South Africa (57 murders a day) the real toll will likely never be known for certain. https://twitter.com/MorganWinsor/status/1415304726111997956?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1415304726111997956%7Ctwgr%5E5474388af6308e81b1b0dc27d292ccdc7a7bcfa6%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.revolver.news%2F2021%2F07%2Fsouth-africa-riots-looting-critical-race-theory%2F

Vitalik Buterin And Ethereum Foundation Selling ETH Will Prices Fall? "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Ethereum supporters are confident that prices will break the $2,000 level. However, recent moves by its founder, Vitalik Buterin, and the Ethereum Foundation, the team managing the smart contracting platform, raises concerns, especially from coin holders and traders, on whether the coin has what it needs to break above key resistance levels.

ETH Transfer Raises Concerns Among Investors

On May 5, a tracker, LookOnChain, noticed that Vitalik.eth, the domain associated with Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, transferred 200 ETH, which is worth about $400,000 at current valuation, to Kraken, a cryptocurrency exchange.

Shortly after that, the Ethereum Foundation also made a much larger transfer, moving 15,000 ETH, worth about $30 million, to the same platform.

This has raised concerns among holders, who are worried that the dumping of such a large amount of ETH could further pressure prices.

Its worth noting that ETH is currently down 13% from its April highs, and sliding.

Coin holders, including those of ETH, typically send tokens from time to time. Even so, any transfer to a centralized exchange is interpreted as bearish. Vitalik Buterin might need funds to cover operating costs or even invest in projects. At this time, it is not known why he sells.

In the past, Buterin has sold ETH in batches without causing a significant price drop.

What Inventions Might Not Seem Important Now But Will Have A Big Impact In The Future? People Share Their Thoughts. "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

There are some inventions that we know are going to be huge as soon as we hear about them the air fryer comes to mind and others that honestly end up taking us by surprise.

Even though these ideas might have flown under the radar, people really think were going to see a big impact from them down the road.

Drip irrigation systems.

Low-pressure solar-powered drip irrigation systems.

Drip irrigation delivers water through a piping network to drip emitters that release the water directly at the base of the crops, avoiding water losses due to evaporation, runoff, and infiltration.

Drip can reduce water consumption by 20-60% compared to conventional flood irrigation, and has been shown to increase yields by 20-50% for certain crops. Because irrigation accounts for over 70% of freshwater use in most regions of the world, large-scale adoption of drip irrigation would reduce the consumption of freshwater and be an asset for locations around the world experiencing water shortages and groundwater depletion.

Upcoming Ethereum Upgrade To Reduce Fees Details "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The second largest crypto blockchain Ethereum is preparing for a new upgrade that will reduce transaction fees on the network. The upgrade tagged Dencun will also introduce more use cases for Ethereum.

Notably, Ethereum Foundation made the announcement of Dencun upgrade just three weeks after the Shapella upgrade.

With the upcoming Dencun upgrade, Ethereum network users can now transact with lower fees.

Introducing Dencun Upgrade What You Need To Know

The upcoming Dencun upgrade will feature Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs). These are proposals that aim to bring changes to the network. The Ethereum community usually reviews the proposals to accept or reject them.

If the community accepts the EIPs, they become a part of the Ethereum network codes. The Dencun upgrades have four proposals, including EIP-1153, EIP-6475, EIP-4844, and EIP-6748.

The first proposal is EIP-4844 or Proto-Danksharding or The Surge. The Surge aims to bring in data blobs for Layer 2 solutions to post transaction and proof data instead of CALLDATA.

The blobs offer lower gas costs since theyre never stored on the blockchain permanently. The blob aims to lower the transaction fee on Ethereum.

Other Dencun Proposals Bring Diverse Changes

The second important proposal for review is the EIP-6780. This proposal is to deactivate the SELFDESTRUCT opcode but still preserve its functionality. EIP-6780 proposal will allow the creation and erasure of contracts in a single transaction but not delete the contract code or storage.

The third proposal is EIP-1153 which will bring two new opcodes, TSTORE and TLOAD, to the network. The developers aim to provide transient storage that will be cleared once a transaction ends. This will add more use cases, from re-entry locks to single-transaction ERC20 approvals.

Ethereum

The fourth proposal is EIP-6475: SSZ Optionals. This change supports EIP-4844 since it defines one of its SSZ elements in the transaction format. The aim is to facilitate forward...

People Share Their Best You Have No Power Here Stories "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

As human beings, we try our best to be kind at least, when people deserve it. We all know a person or two (or six) who really deserves to be put in their place.

When that is done well, it can really be a thing of beauty.

The guy who bought you dinner.

I got married two years ago overseas, because my wife is from Europe, and they have cool castles. My (Canadian) family and friends all came over because most had never been. Were a little older, and well off, so we splurged.

Wedding was awesome, dinner amazing, reception is in full swing, and quite frankly, its a little warm. Warm for us Canadians It was around 10 C, in Early November. When you mix in wool suits, drinking, and lots of dancing, some of us Colonists were working up a bit of a sweat. Thankfully, the venue had a balcony, with huge doors.

I kept going over and opening them, as some folks were inside, some were outside, and there was a nice breeze but I had to keep going over, because they were shut whenever I looked back.

Finally, after the 5th or 6th time, this guy followed me, and demanded I keep the doors shut because it was cold inside. I didnt know who he was, so he must have been a +1 of someone on my wifes side, so I was mighty confused when he said, and I quote Who the hell do you think you are keeping these doors open, and the temperature so low inside.

Im the guy who bought you dinner.

I watched him go over to my now cousin-in-law and grab his coat and almost pull her out the front door.

I thought one of my Groomsmen was going to burst he laughed so hard.

Quiet but effective.

I used to work for a super c**ty manager when I...

Polygon Bears Gain Ground As MATIC Continues To Retreat "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Polygon (MATIC) is slightly shedding its gains today as the bears aim to seize control of its price. Despite the price fluctuations, its trading volume is up by 16%, indicating growing interest from traders.

Polygon has dropped below the $1 mark since April 23. However, it trades within the $0.9 and $1 price range.

Whats Next For MATIC?

MATIC is in a sideways trend today, forming a red candle on the price chart. The recent price volatility might reflect the activities in the general crypto market, where the top coins are slightly gaining.

MATIC has dropped below its 50-day and 200-day Simple Moving Averages (SMA), with bearish sentiment in the short and long term. Also, its Relative Strength Index (RSI) is 40.24 in the neutral zone.

However, the indicator is moving downwards and might descend into the oversold region of 30 if the bears prevail.

MATICs Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD) is slightly above the signal line and shows convergence. Also, it has a negative value, a bearish signal for the asset. The technical indicators suggest that MATIC might experience further price decline before the bulls rally again.

Polygon (MATIC) Sinks Again, Bear Show More Skin In The Game

MATIC is trading close to the $0.9451 support level, and the bears at the $1.0064 resistant level have kept its price down.

If the current market conditions persist, a descent to the next support level of $0.9231 is possible. However, MATIC is currently in a sideways trend reflecting traders hesitation in the market. It will likely fall to the $0.9451 resistance before the bulls rally again.

They Assumed He Was Watching Their Kids Even Though They Never Asked "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Theres quite a debate going on right now when it comes to how people with kids should behave in a society where there are a growing number of people who do not want kids of their own.

I think its fair to say, though, that no one should be expected to watch children not their own especially without at least asking first.

OP is a single person who was at a family-friendly cookout with friends and co-workers. The age range was large and some people brought their children.

It was an indoor-outdoor situation with a backyard that was not fenced but backed up to a wooded area instead.

I(27m) was at a backyard cookout with some friends and coworkers. So the ages were late 20s to early 40s. It was a family friendly event so people brought their kids. They were playing in the yard while most of the adults hung out on the backyard deck. And like always, the parents saw other adults in the area and decided to just walk away and go inside.

I dont know why this is a thing a lot of parents tend to do. Parents, why do you just walk away at outings and expect other people to watch your kids? I dont get it. I could see if it is your immediate family but even then I would warn someone that I was not going to be watching for the safety of my kids.

Also want to note that the backyard is NOT fenced off. She brought that up a lot and I just retorted with even more reason to stay with your kids. The backyard was one of those open ones that opens into the forest.

No one was really watching the kids as they played outside not even when it got darker and a bit cooler and most of the adults migrated indoors.

It was near the end of t...

Amazing Timelapse Video Shows How Much the Earth Rotates in Two Hours

Aaron Jenkin Timelapse Video

Even if we cannot see it, the Earth is constantly in motion. Cornwall-based photographer Aaron Jenkin captures just how much the planet rotates in a stunning timelapse video of the British coast. Using an equatorial mounta device that has a rotational axis parallel to the Earth's axis of rotationhe condensed two hours into just under 15 seconds, during which time we see the horizon tilt to a dramatic angle.

I captured a timelapse of the Milky Way in Cornwall last night, Jenkin says in the video caption. He set up his camera with a view of a rocky cliffside, the ocean, and a starry night sky. As boats travel across the water and beams of light flash above, the camera follows the rotation of the planet and turns the picture on its side. The amazing sight already accumulated over five million views on TikTok.

When Jenkin is not photographing the skies of Cornwall, he travels to other distant locations to reveal their less-seen beauty. One of his most viewed timelapse videos captures the sky in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park in New Zealand, which is one of the darkest places on Earth. The lack of light pollution in the area is why the International Dark Sky Association has labeled it as a dark sky reserve.

Just watching the stars above, in awe of how much I could see with the unaided eye. I could clearly see The Dark Horse Nebula, and could even make out the dust clouds of the milky way reflected in the water, he says. I've never seen such a clear reflection, and after seeing that I knew my timelapse was going to be pretty special.

Be sure to follow Jenkin on TikTok and Instagram to see more amazing photography.

The Heart of Matter: Pierre Teilhard de Chardin on Bridging the Scientific and the Sacred "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Blessed be you, mighty matter, irresistible march of evolution, reality ever new-born; you who, by constantly shattering our mental categories, force us to go ever further and further in our pursuit of the truth.

The Heart of Matter: Pierre Teilhard de Chardin on Bridging the Scientific and the Sacred

Matter delights in music, and became Bach, Ronald Johnson wrote in a stunning prose poem. How it did how we became, in the poetic words of the physicist Richard Feynman, atoms with consciousness matter with curiosity may be the supreme mystery of existence. And yet here we are, each of us having triumphed over staggering odds in order to exist at all, all of us moving through the sliver of spacetime we have been allotted as material creatures animated by rich spiritual lives, governed by entropy, yearning for eternity.

Few people have given voice to this existential tension between our materiality and our spirituality more beautifully than the French paleontologist, Jesuit priest, and philosopher Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (May 1, 1881April 10, 1955) an uncommon bridge figure between the scientific and the sacred, who felt deeply at home in the world of gravity and gluons, and took part in the discovery of the Peking Man fossil that helped illuminate the evolutionary history of our species, but who also thought deeply and wrote beautifully about the most immaterial and transcendent regions of our experience.

Man Discovers Passion for Moody Street Photography After Moving to New York [Interview] "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Man Discovers Passion for Moody Street Photography After Moving to New York [Interview]

New York Street Photography by Nicolas Miller

When Nicolas Miller moved to New York City several years ago, he was inspired to start his creative journey. Intrigued by the metropolis and all it had to offer, he picked up an old DSLR and began exploring the streets. From there, he's never looked back. Propelled forward by the inspiring street photographers he viewed online, his love for the craft has only deepened over time. Today, he's amassed a healthy following on Instagram, where he publishes his neo-noir New York street photography.

In love with capturing the moment and inspired by cinema, Miller's work is a dark and moody look at the city. Through his lens, solitary figures strut down foggy streets. Neon signs and the headlights of a subway car provide soft illumination so that we can make out this vision of the urban landscape.

These elements make Miller's work a love letter to New York City, but one tinged with loneliness. In his creative world, the city is filled with individuals who perhaps come together as a couple, but never en masse. This solitary view is understandable when one imagines that Miller began heavily investing in his photography during the pandemicperhaps one of the most solitary times for individuals in recent history.

We had the opportunity to speak with Miller about his work and what drives him. We cover everything from the films that influence him to his most memorable photo. Read on for My Modern Met's exclusive interview.

Normandi Ellis: The Ancient Tradition of Angels "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

Explains that angels are beings of light consciousness, here to help our individual and planetary cosmic evolution

Explores angels from Judeo-Christian and Islamic faiths, Hinduism and Buddhism, the beliefs of ancient Egypt, Yezidism, and Zoroastrianism as well as what Theosophists, Kabbalists, Sufi masters, Eastern gurus, and modern mystics like Edgar Cayce have recounted about angels

Examines contemporary angelic encounters, including the authors own interactions with angels, and also looks at the purpose of dark angels and fallen angels

From the divine messengers of Western traditions to the devas of Eastern traditions to the meleks and spirit beings found along the Silk Road, angels are one of the unifying themes of theology worldwide. But what is an angel, and why do they contact us, believers and nonbelievers alike?

In this in-depth study into the mystery and purpose of angels, Normandi Ellis looks at the angelic dimensions of spiritual traditions around the worldfrom the ancient past to present day. She explores well-known angels from Judeo-Christian and Islamic faiths, the Hindu devata and Buddhist spirit beings, the spirit beings of ancient Egypt, the Peacock Angel of Yezidism, and the yazatas of Zoroastrianism. She compares angelic visions from medieval Christians like Thomas Aquinas and John of Damascus with what Theosophists, kabbalists, Sufi masters, Eastern gurus, and modern mystics like Edgar Cayce have recounted about angels. She looks at dark and fallen angels and their role in the grand cosmological plan. Quoting from sacred traditions, narrative myth, and contemporary angelic encounters, including her own personal interactions with angels, the author clarifies the divergent aspects of angelic beliefs but also reveals the common points shared by all traditions.

Ellis shows how, in whatever guise they appear, angels are messengers. She explains that angels are beings of light consciousness, part of the universal life force that connects all beings. And not only are angels actively helping in our planets cosmic evolution, they also help us see our own place in the cosmic plan.

Normandi Ellis is an award-winning writer, workshop facilitator, and archpriestess of the Fellowship of Isis. The author and coauthor of several books, including Awakening Osiris and Hieroglyphic Words of Power, she leads tours to Egypt. She lives in Chesterfield, Indiana.

Retired Boeing 737 Is Transformed Into a Luxury Villa on the Cliffs of Bali

Perched on a cliff in Bali, a retired Boeing 737 has been transformed into a luxury villa. Set to open in April, the Private Jet Villa by Hanging Gardens is the brainchild of entrepreneur Felix Denim. Denim already runs the unique Bubble Hotel Bali hotel chain and has decided to upend luxury hospitality by renovating the plane. Now, it sits close to Nyang-Nyang beach and awaits its first visitors.

Denim first purchased the plane in 2021. It then took five days to move the plane into position. That's where the real work began. Using wood, stone, and gold accents to infuse the space with luxury, the design has an immediate wow factor. Completely stripped bare, gone are the trappings of the plane's former life. Now, the interior includes two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets. The bedroom at the head of the plane also has a jacuzzi with an ocean view in the cockpit.

The center of the plane, which includes a wet bar, is a common space meant for entertaining. A cutout on one wi...

Lyrical Illustrations Adorn Ceramic Dishes With Folk Art-Inspired Stories "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Lyrical Illustrations Adorn Ceramic Dishes With Folk Art-Inspired Stories

Painted Pottery by Christine Sutton

Ordinary plates and bowls are transformed into works of art by Christina Sutton, aka Little Bird Painting. Based in Montana, she uses the beauty of her natural surroundings as inspiration for whimsical illustrations of animals. The imagery is rendered in a charming style reminiscent of traditional printmaking techniques.

From majestic flying owls to fluffy foxes, her art features an array of critters usually framed by a border of flora. While the characters vary in each creation, Sutton's pieces are united by a unique aesthetic and limited color palette of black, yellow, red, and blue. While black serves as the primary color, other hues function as embellishments to the flowers blossoming on the vines. Coupled with the white ceramic, this combination results in plates and bowls that are visually arresting to look at.

Sutton's artistic background is in painting and printmaking. I began making pottery when a good friend got a kiln, and sort of taught me how to make a pinch pot, and I started making little bowls and havent looked back, Sutton tells My Modern Met. I really love folk art, and I think Im inspired by animals and plants in my own environment at home and in the mountains in Montana. I also really enjoy printmaking, and I think a lot of the images on my pottery I have worked out in block printing.

You can purchase available items via Sutton's website, and keep up to date with her latest work by following the artist's Instagram.

One Year Until The Bitcoin Halving: Analyzing Holder Dynamics "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The article below is an excerpt from a recent edition of Bitcoin Magazine PRO, Bitcoin Magazine's premium markets newsletter. To be among the first to receive these insights and other on-chain bitcoin market analysis straight to your inbox, subscribe now.

The Bitcoin Halving

One of the most important and innovative features of bitcoin is the hard-capped supply of 21 million.

The total supply is not specifically defined in the code, but is instead derived from the codes issuance schedule, which is reduced by half every 210,000 blocks or roughly every four years. This reduction event is called the bitcoin halving (or halvening in some circles).

When Bitcoin miners successfully find a block of transactions that links a set of new transactions to the previous block of already confirmed transactions, they are rewarded in newly created bitcoin. The bitcoin that is freshly created and awarded to the winning miner with each block is called the block subsidy. This subsidy combined with transaction fees sent by users who pay to get their transaction confirmed is called the block reward. The block subsidy and reward incentivizes the use of computing power to keep the Bitcoin code running.

When bitcoin was first released to the public, the block subsidy was 50 bitcoin. After the first halving in 2012, this number was reduced to 25 bitcoin, then 12.5 bitcoin in 2016. Most recently, the bitcoin halving occurred on May 11, 2020, with miners currently receiving 6.25 bitcoin per new block.

Bitcoin issuance gets reduced in half roughly every four years.

The next halving is coming up in about one year. The exact date will depend on the amount of hash power that joins or leaves the network, as this impacts the speed at which blocks are found. Estimates for the next halving range from late April to early May 2024. After the next halving, the block subsidy will be reduced to 3.125 bitcoin.

In the past, the bitcoin price rose considerably after the halving, albeit many months after the subsidy was reduced. Every halving cycle, there is a debate about whether or not the halving is priced in. This question considers the fact that the halving is a well-known event and attempts to add...

Orange-Pilling Secrets From An Ad Copywriter "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

This is an opinion editorial by SV, the editor-in-chief of BitcoinMaxiNews.com and a former professional advertising copywriter.

After getting seriously into Bitcoin a while back, I decided to approach the subject of orange-pilling which basically means to sell newbies on Bitcoin as I would any given copywriting gig.

The first thing a professional ad copywriter will identify is the prospects main conscious and unconscious objections and fears. In other words, whatever is most likely standing in the way of this person being converted.

Lets therefore start with the main orange-pilling obstacles, before a solution is presented.

Why Selling Something As Great As Bitcoin Is So Hard

The challenge of orange-pilling newbies boils down to three things, and all three mutually reinforce each other to make it even harder:

Source: Author

1. Fiat paradigm blindness mixed with fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD)

When I prompted it, OpenAI defined paradigm blindness as the inability to recognize or fully understand the assumptions and frameworks that shape one's beliefs, values and actions.

Bitcoin is a paradigm-breaking innovation, and its therefore hard to truly grasp its value without breaking out of the comfort zone of the indoctrinated fiat paradigm.

A lot of the FUD is generated by this fear of the unknown, in addition to the fear of losing money.

2. The skeptic power-position compensation (resistance to being lectured).

Source

Nobody likes being in the submissive position of being lectured, and few are humble enough to admit that they dont know something.

Any orange-pilling attempt thus creates an equal and opposite force of resistance in them, and this is especially true if you try to convince them in person.

Remaining skeptical gives them the perceived power position and upper hand, which is why people love to proclaim how skeptical they are.

United Against Love: Indian Religious Leaders Unite Against Gay Marriage "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

In a rare display of unity amongst Indias major religions, leaders from the countrys Muslim, Christian, Sikh, and Jain communities join hands with Hindu nationalist groups in opposing calls to recognize same-sex marriage in the country.

This move comes as Indias Supreme Court hears petitions filed by various LGBTQIA+ organizations in the country, pleading to legalize same-sex marriage. These petitions were filed around five years after a landmark case in 2018 that decriminalized homosexuality in India.

In response to the petitions filed by gay rights groups to the Supreme Court, some have filed applications opposing the proposal to legalize same-sex marriage in India. Amidst ongoing sectarian violence and tensions between Indias religious groups on the backdrop of growing Hindu nationalism, many religious organizations stood in rare unison to oppose same-sex marriage in India.

These organizations include Islamic groups like the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, the Communion of Churches representing Indian Christians, the Akal Takht on behalf of the Sikhs, and representatives of Jain gurus and other religious groups. They said that they oppose legalizing same-sex marriage, claiming it infringes on holy scriptures and the natural family order.

Many religious leaders also repeated the religious sentiment that marriage is between a man and a woman only and should serve the purpose of procreation, not pleasure.

The concept of marriage between two opposite sexes is like the basic feature of marriage itself, which leads to the creation of a bundle of rights (maintenance, inheritance, guardianship, custody). By these petitions, the petitioners are seeking to dilute the concept of marriage by introducing a fre...

Outrage as Minneapolis Allows Amplified Muslim Call to Prayer Anytime "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Minneapolis recently amended its noise ordinance to allow mosques to broadcast adhan or amplified prayer calls for Muslims at any time of the day, making it the first major city in the United States to allow all five daily calls to be broadcast at any time.

Jacob Frey, the citys mayor, recently signed the amendments to the citys noise ordinance at the Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center and spoke about the changes on April 15th.

Several local Islamic leaders, city council members, and Christian and Jewish leaders attended the signing of the law, which was held in the heavily East African-immigrant Cedar-Riverside neighborhood, where the Islamic Center was located.

The law took effect on April 19th and allows the citys 20 mosques to broadcast their amplified calls to prayer at any time of the day, including the early morning hours before sunrise and late evening hours after sunset. The citys previous noise ordinance only allowed mosques to broadcast their messages between 7 am and 10 pm, although some exceptions were allowed.

Jacob Frey, who is Jewish, likened the adhan to the ringing of Christmas bells for Christians and the sounding of the shofar for Jews.

"They are all important to our religions," Frey said. "They can all be heard."

Aisha Chughtai, one of the three Muslims serving in the Minneapolis city council and the author of the amended noise ordinance, described the change as expanding the religious freedom protected by the First Amendment....

As Irans government continues to crack down on dissent against its mandatory hijab laws and enforce them more strictly, the policy created an unintended negative economic consequence: Massive unemployment among tens of thousands of Iranians.

The considerable loss of jobs comes as the Islamic Republic closed down at least 2,000 businesses in March alone after women refused to comply with its mandatory hijab rules, resulting in tens of thousands losing their jobs.

Several more shops have also been shut down in the countrys capital, Tehran, after female customers refused to abide by the governments mandatory hijab laws, causing more unemployment.

According to a report by Fars News Agency, the semi-official news agency affiliated with the countrys Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps or IRGC, 13 cafes and restaurants were forced to close down because female customers and staff did not follow the mandatory hijab laws.

On the flip side, some supporters of the Islamic Republic were furious after Opal Mall briefly reopened. But while this significant shopping center in northern Iran reopened for quite some time, some stores inside the mall had to be closed down.

Some shops reportedly offered discounts and other deals to female customers wearing a hijab. However, the owners of these stores reportedly denied publishing the offers and apologized.

But on April 25th, authorities announced they closed down the Opal Mall again, affecting over 450 establishments. Shargh Daily, an Iranian media outlet with a reformist bent, reported that the shopping...

UMA Token Surges By 28% Despite General Bearish Trend "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

UMA (UMA) has registered an impressive 28.7% gain in the last seven days, according to data by CoinMarketCap. In a week marked by market losses and little gains, the DeFi token showed much resilience to emerge as one of the biggest weekly gainers.

Although most of the market stands in awe of the stunning bullish performance of the popular meme coin PEPE -, UMAs remarkable price gain has recorded much profit for its investors, drawing significant attention.

UMAs Price Action

Initially, UMA began trading the week around a price region of $1.95. The token showed no significant movement until two days after when it attempted a bullish run but couldnt break past the resistance level at $2.31.

On May 5, i.e., yesterday, UMA experienced a hike in its market price, gaining by over 43% to move from $2.18 to break above the $3 price mark for the first time since August 2022.

Although UMAs price has since slipped from such high levels, the DeFi token appeared to have found support and could be gearing for another breakout.

At the time of writing, UMA is trading around $2.55, with a 0.22% loss in the last 24 hours. In this same period, the tokens trading volume has boosted by a staggering 438.82% to attain a value of $336.70 million.

Interestingly, UMAs price growth is also reflected by the growing traction on its platform. Based on data from Stelareum, Total Value Locked (TVL) on the UMA protocol has grown from $10.33 million to $11.12 million over the last two days.

UMA Protocol Set To Record New Partnerships

Amidst the impressive market performance of the UMA token, its underlying network appears to make much progress on the adoption front.

The last protocol to integrate the oSnap module was the popular decentralized exchange, ShapeShift.

That said, UMA generally functions as a decentralized platform that allows other DeFi protocols to build priceless financial contracts on Ethereum while providing them with publicly verifiable market data.

In essence, this project functions as an oracle, granting...

Floki Inu Rallies 40% In 24 Hours: Heres Why "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

Were officially in the meme coin season as Floki Inu becomes the latest meme-based token to experience a significant price pump. The cryptocurrency inspired by Elon Musks Shiba Inu pup has long been considered as the next big memecoin and it appears to be living up to its hype.  Floki Inu is currently up 40% in the past 24 hours and is the second-best performing crypto-asset during this period after the fast-rising Pepe token.

Floki Inu Benefiting From High-Profile Listings

This latest price surge can be linked to a series of high-profile listings by exchanges in recent days. Bitfinex was the first to announce the listing of Floki on May 3rd in a move that came out of the blue and surprised many in the crypto community.  This was followed by Binance, the largest exchange in the world, disclosing on May 5th that it would be listing Floki alongside Pepe in its innovation zone, with users able to deposit as of May 5th.

The exchange further noted that it would begin trading the tokens on May 6th across four pairs: PEPE/USDT, PEPE/TUSDT, FLOKI/USDT, and FLOKI/TUSD. Binance also intends to permit borrowing on both assets and plans to add new margin pairs for FLOKI and PEPE on Isolated Margin in the next 48 hours. SSRIs, Lindsay Clancy, and Me "IndyWatch Feed Health"

Although there are warnings about the rare, potentially lethal side effects of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), which were issued by the FDA and Health Canada in 2004, many North American psychiatrists and doctors still arent aware of how to prevent or even recognize rare problems that are caused by the pills. Many dont acknowledge that there can be deadly adverse reactions to SSRIs.

David Carmichael and his son, Ian.

I can attest to one such lethal side effect.

In July 2004, shortly after starting the SSRI Paxil, I had a psychotic episode and took the life of my 11-year-old son, Ian, in a London, Canada hotel room. I was then charged with first-degree murder, judged not criminally responsible (insane) in October 2005, institutionalized in a mental health centre (forensic psychiatric hospital), and conditionally discharged in December 2007, which allowed me to live with my wife Elizabeth and daughter Gillian again. I received an absolute discharge from the Ontario Review Board in December 2009.

Since 2005, Ive become familiar with many tragic stories about people who have lost loved ones to SSRIs and other psychiatric drugs, but Ive never been as immediately heart-stricken as when I read my first newspaper article about the Lindsay Clancy family tragedy in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

Lindsay was the mother of three young childrenCora, 5, Dawson 3, and eight-month-old Callanwhen she started taking an antidepressant and other drugs in October 2022. She had been exercising and eating healthy to deal with the challenges of parenting until she started to feel anxious about returning to work as a labor delivery nurse after her maternity leave, so she went to a psychiatrist.

On January 24, 2023, after being prescribed 13 drugs over the previous four months, including the SSRIs Prozac and Zoloft, Lindsay had been transformed into somebody nobody...

Awkward Scenes as Tim Wilson Insists on Anointing King Charles "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

The Coronation of King Charles has been marred by controversy after the former member for Goldstein, Tim Wilson, insisted on pouring the holy oil on the Coronation Spoon and using it to anoint the King.

Officials claimed that the Archbishop of Canterbury had been assigned the sacred role, however Mr Wilson says he was unaware of any such arrangements and was merely helping out on behalf of those present.

No-one else was around to do it, so I stepped up, Wilson said, insisting he did not realise the Archbishop was there as a representative of God. God was not at the Coronation ceremony in his own community, so I took it upon myself to perform the task. Coronations should not be politicised, Wilson said.

In the end, after a minor scuffle, the Archbishop and Mr Wilson jointly held the spoon as they approached the Monarch to anoint him.

Officials say Wilson was not invited to the event. Wilson says he just happened to be in the area.

Is A Ruined Bachelorette Party A Good Reason To Ruin A Friendship? "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Weddings are tricky to navigate. Emotions and expectations are all high, and letdowns are almost inevitable, in one form or another.

OP has been looking forward to her bachelorette party for some time. On the big night, though, a lifelong friend pulled her aside to tell her shed learned something recently that both explained trouble shed had as a child and affected her relationship with her mother.

Im getting married in 3 weeks, and I just had my bachelorette over Easter weekend. During a quiet moment one of my bridesmaids took me aside and told me that about three months ago she was diagnosed with fetal alcohol syndrome.

Obviously I asked her what that meant for her and she started crying because she feels differently about her relationship with her mother.

We met in elementary school and shes always had a learning disability, but she didnt know that there was a preventable cause.

When the rest of the bridal party noticed she was upset it kind of killed the mood. OP didnt end up getting to go out at all and lost out on the limo she had rented for the occasion.

My other bridesmaids noticed her crying, and the evening ended up being about her. We skipped out on going to a bar in the limo I had hired because she was upset.

Afterward, OP called and told her friend that she had been really hurt by her selfish behavior and cut her from the wedding party.

I thought about it all today and ended up emailing her to tell her that she took away an important moment from my life. I feel bad about this happening to her, but even though she didnt always know its been going on for her whole life. If this was a recent thing she found out about...

The Proclaimers 500-Mile Walkathon Ends with 10 Dead, 35 Injured "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

ABERDEEN, U.K. A walkathon across Scotland organized by rock duo The Proclaimers was abruptly canceled after volunteers positively identified the body of the 10th fatality linked to the event, sources report.

Ive been doing this job for 25 years, and mate, Ive never seen anything this grisly, said paramedic Ben MacDonough through an interpreter. Ive been puking my guts out for the past hour seeing the state these people are in. Usually, its concert crushes that were called to when its something involving musicians. Why anyone would do something as irresponsible as force people to tramp 500 miles straight is beyond me. Its not exactly a flat, easily traversed country, and everyone who signed up for this was encouraged to drink heavily at the pub the night before. Its a war zone out here.

Many of the survivors of the You Will Walk 500 Miles Walkathon have been too traumatized to recount their experiences, though some have begun to come forward.

I lost consciousness somewhere outside of Inverness, said participant Daniel Shazier. When I came to, we were somehow in Balmedie, apparently my mates hoisted me on their shoulders so I wouldnt fall behind. But Im just not the same man who crossed the starting line in Glasgow. Now, Im a wraith, a shell of my former self with blisters the size of Loch Ness on each foot. Dont pity me though. After all, what is life, if not a slow march toward death? Im gonna be the man who wakes up in his grave, pretty soon.

The events organizers, identical twins Charlie and Craig Reed who together comprise The Proclaimers, were quick to run damage control.

We wanted this to be a fun little jaunt and didnt think it would be such a grueling target, said Charlie Reed. Me and Craig did it back in 1988 for the love of a beautiful lady, and when that was done, would you believe we walked 500 more right after? Well, we sang about it, at any rate. It was the 80s, after all, so I cant remember if we actually finished. Plus, a miles even shorter than a kilometer, isnt it?

At press time, the events only remaining competitor, Vanessa Carlton, had begun to lap the surviving participants.

Every Black Flag Album Ranked "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

Black Flag is a legendary band people love to lie about listening to. Every indie artist name-drops them as an influence, and its all for cred. Only like eight people actually listen to Black Flag for enjoyment and youre in luck because Im one of them and Im ranking their discography for you.

7. Family Man (1984)

There are people who claim this album is good. There are also people who say mushrooms on pizza are delicious. I dont believe either group. You have to sit through 15 minutes of Henry Rollins solo abstract ramblings while he was still about 20 years from learning how to tell a story well. And when the music finally starts, its not much better. Henry talks over one 9-minute track, then the rest are instrumental jams. Not my cup of hardcore. But the album artwork goes pretty fucking hard, so it deserves credit for that. If you feel the need to buy this one, keep it hung up on the wall. Framed. Youre not a teenager anymore, get a goddamn frame.

Play It Again: the album artwork
Skip It: the music

6. What The (2013)

Ah, the reverse Family Man. What The has artwork so bad, it makes you hate the music more than maybe you should. The artwork is fucking pixelated. And stupid. But the music? It sounds like a fairly competent Black Flag tribute act. In keeping with late Black Flag tradition, the production is shit. Ron Reyes actually sounds pretty lively here, but its not enough to sustain interest over the course of twenty-two (22!!!!!) songs. I swear I like this band and will start complimenting them soon, but oof- they sure have laid some turds for me to sift through.

Play It Again: Its So Absurd and Go Away are surprisingly de...

10 Classic Punk Songs That Are Overrated and Youre Going to Have To Learn to Accept It "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

Its a well-known fact that rocknroll reached perfection with the advent of punk rock. Since the Ramones first put together influences from bands like the Velvet Underground, the Stooges, and New York Dolls for their self-titled album, the punk genre and its many offshoots has served up the best music people could possibly make with guitars, bass, drums, and yelling into the unrelenting void.

However, even perfection coughs up a few clunkers now and again, and with the benefit of hindsight, its clear that some of those classic punk songs that came to define the genre really never shouldve had the time of day to begin with. Here are 10 of those that are more overrated than eating a bacon-wrapped, IPA-infused cupcake at an Andy Warhol retrospective in summer.

Ramones Blitzkrieg Bop

Look, this song is absolutely fine for what it is. But there are so many better songs by the Ramones, and as the first track on whats widely accepted as the first punk album, its become the de facto, lazy pick for cajoling an audience into manufactured excitement. Next time you hear it, we guarantee its either going to be in a Nissan commercial during a highway shot, leading into a power play at a hockey game, or when theres a sale on running shoes at Target.

Iron Cross Live for Now

Every single cover of this song is better than the original by Iron Cross, and thats a fact. Why does the whole band sound like they each drank their own bottle of cough syrup before recording?

FEAR I Dont Care About You

FEAR might be the most derivative stereotype of punk that ever existed, and this song is Exhibit A. Gross-out shock value? Pissing on random cities? Dressing like a Hollywood caricature of low down, no good punks? Check, check, and check. Theres nothing threatening here; this was just made for pearl-clutching, and it still somehow sounds neutered. Outrageous for the sake of it, and incredibly boring because thats all they are.

Black Flag My War

Ah, that glorious period where Greg Ginn discovered weed and somehow became even more of an asshole. My War is a fantastic opening salvo to telling fans that they should move along if they want anything fun from Black Flag ever again. Ginn w...

Music Fan Nostalgic for Days when Pitchfork Made Him Feel Like Complete Dumbass "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

CHICAGO Ravenous music fan Terry Manns feels a wistful sense of melancholy for the days when music publication Pitchfork.com would take an absolute shit on any band he held dear, sympathetic friends reported.

I remember logging onto Pitchfork only to see my favorite albums like Thursdays Full Collapse get utterly eviscerated; I yearn for those days, mused Manns, who admits to watching MTV constantly for the near-zero possibility of catching a music video. Nowadays, everything from banal pop to iconoclastic experimental albums gets a 7.7. The reviewers are polite and actually talk about the music in reviews. Gen Z isnt going to know the embarrassment of loving an amazing band like Rainer Maria, then watching Pitchfork give them the school grade equivalent of an F-. I wish they could feel it

Anonymous sources from within Pitchforks offices confirmed that the brands strategy has explicitly shifted in recent years.

Its a numbers game and you attract more flies with sugar. We get more clicks when we let Ian Cohen out of the janitors closet to give some aging emo band a 7.7 than we do actually criticizing lazy songwriting, said the source, a Pitchfork reviewer who also asked us to redact the fact that they were clearly listening to Sum 41 during our call. Ever since Cond Nast bought Pitchfork in 2015, our primary purpose is to show full-page Absolut vodka ads. Also, were terrified of angering Taylor Swift or Beyoncs fanbases. Yeasayer and Pixies fans were too stoned to really give a shit, so we could go pretty rough on them.

Many of the artists who were slighted by Pitchfork in their nastier early years are reportedly enjoying watching the site fade from musical discourse.

Well well well, looks like the world is finally realizing that good ol Cond Nastfork is full of shit, stated The Dismemberment Plan frontman Travis Morrison, whose solo debut Travistan was given a devastating 0.0 by the website in 2004. Cant say I feel too bad after they nullified any chance I had of a solo career. Their relevance is fading; Anthony Fantano is the only dude out there willing to call mediocre albums bad. Meanwhile, people are finally starting to critically reevaluate Travistan, which is at least a 3.2.

The anonymous source confirmed that Pitchfork is also considering replacing their review number system altogether with different GIFs of Dwayne The Rock Johnson.

Isnt it ironic? A singer-songwriter scores a hydrogen bomb explosion of a hit in 1996 despite nOt kNoWiNg tHe dEfInItIoN oF iRoNiC.

But its time for you to shut the hell up, pedantic dickwads. I got paid, and still get paid, regardless. Trust me, this toilet Im blogging from costs more than six months of your rent. Its made of calacatta gold marble which is a phrase youll have to google because you broke semantic sticklers are shitting on run-of-the-mill porcelain covered in dust and pubes.

You know why this song still makes me cash money money? Because I can sing laps around you English major motherfuckers, and the song rips regardless. So once and for all, let me explain: I DONT CARE IF YOU THINK SOMETHING I SAID IS NOT IRONIC, THE SONG STILL WORKS. Just ask my investment portfolio. Because I am rich. Unfathomably rich. Rich enough to beat the shit out of you with a first edition of the Merriam-Webster dictionary opened to words that start with I-R-O.

It isnt ironic for it to rain on your wedding day. Oh ok, well guess what? I have one hand in my pocket with brass knuckles on, and the other hands choking the shit out of some Twitter shit-talker who thinks its oh-so-funny to correct every single line of my song. You oughta know that I can pay to have you killed. Easily.

I take shots of Pappy Van Winkle out of all my seven Grammy awards. I own one of the copies of the Declaration of Independence even though Im Canadian. I might use it to wipe today. You cannot touch me. In the time it took me to write this post, I made more money than youll make all week.

And for the record, it absolutely is ironic to have 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife. Have you ever tried to cut a steak with a spoon? Youll look like an idiot. 10,000 spoons? Thats way too many spoons. Not one knife? Irony. Checkmate.

Global Population recovery and Expansion. "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"

As I have been posting, properly Terra forming Terra will take at least 100,000,000,000 of us, just for the land and possibly several times all that to also fully optimize the marine environment.  all this is on a fully sustainable basis which we are clearly getting better at.

we now need a proper economic protocol to supoort child bearing by young mothers at the safe rate of four each, likely going from 18 through 26.  this needs to include educational support, childcare support from older women and carreer preparation.  The hard point is that it also needs to be mandated which is obviously difficult to swallow, but also allows choice selection for the men to be addressed quite differently

After all, men can earn credits based on work performance, education performance and also behavior.  Criminals get cut out and this is a huge disincentive for bad behavior.  Real marriage can then be postponed until the age of thirty and perhaps woven in with some biological offspring.

We have proven that the last fifty years is a somewhat failed experiment in terms of child production and even child care.  We certainly cannot leave it where it is.

I use the number four because it is certain to expand the population.  Once an optimal size is achieved, it is no trick to drop the mandate to three and put it under the control of a natural community.

UniCoin: Universal Monetary Unit Paves the Way to Global Currency "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

In March, Daisy wrote about FedNow, the instant payment system currently in the works/  The American banking and government systems expect to start using it in July.  As Daisy discussed, FedNow isnt a centralized bank digital currency (CBDC), but it provides the framework for one.

I encourage you to read Daisys FedNow article.  It will give you a good idea of how digital payments will be initially billed as a convenience, then something we cant do business without.  Read the article, and then imagine digital currency on a global scale.

This is in the works, too.

Worldwide digital currency

On April 10, the Digital Currency Monetary Authority (DCMA) launched its international central bank digital currency.  Proponents claim that this Universal Monetary Unit (UMU, ) will be used exactly like any other form of digital money.

Side note: DCMA has also been referring to the Universal Money Units as Unicoin.  However, since there is a separate cryptocurrency also going by the name Unicoin, well refer to this as UMU. (source)

You may be wondering, what is the DCMA?  What countries is it affiliated with?  Is it part of the  United Nations?

As explained in this Redacted video, DCMA is run by bankers and unnamed government officials from around the world.

The DCMA is described as a world leader in the advocacy of digital currency and monetary policy innovations for governments and central banks.  Membership within the DCMA consists of sovereign states, central banks, commercial and retail banks, and other financial institutions.

On its website, the DCMA states that its mission is to enable trade globalization through the monetary integration of international payments and sett...

Palestinian Armed Resistance: Terror or Legitimate? "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Israel and global media's troubling definition of Palestinian resistance as terrorism

Eitay Mack is one of Israels foremost human rights lawyers.  Hes done extraordinary research into Israels government archives to document its long history of military aid and corrupt dealings with dictators around the world.  I have immense respect for him and his legal work, research and the journalism which documents these terrible deeds. But I read with disappointment his latest op ed on international law regarding Israel & the Palestinians. His piece is a polemic against leftists who justify killing Israeli civilians in the name of the Palestinian struggle.  I have so much respect for Mack that I wish it had been argued in a more nuanced fashion. But rather than quarrel with specific details of his piece, Id prefer to lay out my own argument below. Lets start with the issues of occupation and resistance.  Occupation by a foreign country of territory not its own, via war or other form of conflict is, once hostilities end, illegal.  An occupied people may resist occupation.  A UN General Assembly resolution...

Minnesota House amends Democrats bill to remove anti-pedophile language from states Human Rights Act after pushback "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

By Samantha Kamman, The Minnesota House has unanimously amended a bill by a trans-identified Democrat lawmaker who sought to change definitions in the state's Human Rights Act that raised concerns among many that the bill would weaken laws against pedophilia. A Republican state lawmaker urged the Democrat-controlled House to vote to amend the Take Pride Act, or HF 1655, introduced by Democratic state Rep. Leigh Finke, a man who identifies as a woman. The legislation seeks to change the Minnesota Human Rights Act to include a separate definition for gender identity and remove language that LGB and trans activists oppose regarding sexual orientation. Gender identity means a persons inherent sense of being a man, woman, both, or neither. A persons gender identity may or may not correspond to their assigned sex at birth or to their primary or secondary sex characteristics. A persons gender identity is not necessarily visible to others, the proposed definition for gender identity reads. However, Finkes proposal also removed a provision from the states Human Rights Act stating that sexual orientation does not include pedophiles. Critics expressed concern that if left unaltered, then that would mean pedophiles claiming their attraction to children as part of their sexual orientation would be protected from discrimination under the law. Last Wednesday, the House voted unanimously to amend the legislation and make it clear that, The physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult is not a protected class under this chapter. A glimmer of common sense, Republican state Rep. Harry Niska, who introduced the clarification, tweet...

Poem for Pearl by Mother of Pearl "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"

Dear Pearl

My beautiful blessed girl.
Your pain is my pain.
You will never know how much,
I love and adore you,
Until you have a daughter of your own.

I so long to sweep you up in my arms.
Like on the morning of the day we were pulled apart.
When we were the best of friends.
And you used to run up the driveway to greet me.

That last night at home together,
When we watched Mamma Mia,
As I tucked you in bed, I said:
Do you have ANY doubt at all that I love you?
You shook your head fiercely.
We were so happy to see each other again.

But the next day I lost you.
And, more tragically, you lost me.
And you lost me, and lost me, and lost me, over, and over, and over
Until you stopped trusting that I would be there,
When you needed me.

On your ninth birthday,
I decorated my house for a party of three.
You were so happy!
You ran and wrapped your arms around me.
And the day you sent me that simple text,
Saying I miss you.

These are the things I remember,
When I am alone.
They bring me no joy,
Because so much time has been lost,
And so much pain and suffering for us both.

You are my GIRL.
I always wanted my own GIRL.
I was going to be such a good Mum.
I was a good Mum.
Until I wasnt.
My mother left me.
And I left you.
The agony of that parallel is indescribable.

My heart has been broken,
In more ways than one.
And yours has been too.
By your own Mum.
I firmly believe,
That the rest of your life,
Should be a breeze.
It hurts me so much,
To know it wont be.

We have all felt the ache of a broken heart, Jess.
And the fear to trust again.
It is such a cliche to say:
Time heals all wounds.
But, everyone will tell you,
It is true.

In the meantime,
If you want to cry on my shoulder,
Instead of in your bed,
On your own,
Clutching the plush frog,
That he gave you,
You need only ask.

Love Mum

Was This What Got Tucker Carlson Fired? "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"

April 24, 2023, Fox News abruptly fired Tucker Carlson, host of the highest-rated show on the network, and one of the highest-rated shows on all of basic cable.1 In the days since, rumors of what caused the network to give Carlson the boot, seemingly out of the blue, have spanned a wide range.

Some believe it was because Carlson called out the sins of Big Pharma.2 Others think it had to do with his expos on the World Economic Forums push to get people to eat bugs,3 or his incessant criticism of the United States proxy war in Ukraine.4 Carlson also angered the FBI when he asserted that Ray Epps, who took part in the January 6 insurrection was an FBI informant.5

Some think its because his head of booking, Abby Grossberg, is suing the network, alleging Carlson created a hostile work environment.6 Others believe its because he gave a speech talking about spirituality and prayer, and suggesting were in a battle of good and evil.7

Early last month BlackRock increased their shares of Fox Corporation from 12.4% to 15.41%. They only partially own Fox Corporation, but are the second largest shareholder after the Murdoch family, which still owns 19% of the company.8,9

However, Vanguard has 11.42% of Fox Corporation.10 Since Vanguard owns BlackRock, it has 26.8% of the shares and has a controlling interest in the company and clearly has the ability to make something like this happen.

Other potential reasons levied include Carlsons penchant for birthing negative news cycles about the network that tarnish the brand and the fact that mainstream advertisers have been steering clear of his show,11 or his repeated use of the c-word in texts to describe women he didnt care for, including a Fox network executive.12,...

This Toxic Herbicide Is Unregulated Despite Court Order "IndyWatch Feed Health"

Dicamba, a highly volatile herbicide known for drifting and damaging off-target crops, is still causing widespread environmental damage and, likely, harm to human health. This is despite a 2020 promise from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to take action against the chemicals, which are often sprayed over the top of genetically engineered dicamba-tolerant soybean and cotton crops.

In 2020, a federal court ruled, The EPA made multiple errors in granting the conditional registrations1 for dicamba herbicides, ignoring evidence that they would lead to widespread crop damage.

The court order invalidated the registrations for dicamba,2 but instead of pulling it from the market, the EPA reapproved it months later with minor label changes. In 2021, the EPA admitted that its changes made little difference, and dicamba was still causing grave damage, prompting a lawsuit alleging the agency failed to take action against the herbicide, despite the court order.3

Dicamba Drift Devastates US Crops

Millions of acres of croplands across the U.S. have been damaged by dicamba drift,4 and theres also disturbing information that the chemical harms trees.5 Dicamba use has also turned farmers against one another, as those experiencing damaged crops blame neighboring farms for spraying dicamba.

When dicamba was first used, it was typically applied only sparingly and not during the growing season due to its known potential to kill nearby crops. As resistance grew to other herbicides, like glyphosate, however, Monsanto now owned by Bayer came up with a plan. As reported by investigative journalist Carey Gillam:6

In 2011 Monsanto announced that glyphosate had been relied on too long by itself and said it planned to collaborate with BASF to develop a cropping system of genetically engineered (or GMO) crops that would tolerate being sprayed with dicamba. It said it would introduce a new type of dicamba herbicide that would not drift far from fields where it was sprayed.

The newer dicamba was approved by the EPA in 2016, but it did not prove to be the panacea that Monsanto had promised. By November 2017, an estimated 3.6 million acres across 25 U.S. states had been damaged by dicamba drift.7 The EPA was aware of the damage then but didnt go nearly far enough to stop the desecration. According to...

Whos the Real Anthony Fauci? "IndyWatch Feed Health"

From Dr. Joseph Mercola

Since COVID-19 first entered the scene, exchange of ideas has basically been outlawed. By sharing my views and those from various experts throughout the pandemic on COVID treatments and the experimental COVID jabs, I became a main target of the White House, the political establishment and the global cabal.

Propaganda and pervasive censorship have been deployed to seize control over every part of your life, including your health, finances and food supply. The major media are key players and have been instrumental in creating and fueling fear.

I am republishing this article in its original form so that you can see how the progression unfolded.

Were facing the greatest battle of our lifetimes, possibly of all time, according to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in this riveting interview with James Corbett.1 I urge you to set aside 60 minutes to watch it in its entirety, as it succinctly sums up the coalition of sinister forces intelligence agencies, pharmaceutical companies, social media titans, medical bureaucracies, mainstream media and the military that are using a health crisis to impose totalitarian control worldwide.

You can find all of the details in Kennedys bestselling book, The Real Anthony Fauci, which contains more than 2,200 footnotes backing up its data. The truth is, Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) isnt acting alone.

But hes become the prominent face of the medical cartel and medical technocracy that is wrapped up in obliterating constitutional rights globally. And, as an authoritative medical figure and trusted adviser to six presidents, Faucis words are treated as gospel, despite the atrocities hes committed.

Regulatory Agencies Turned Into Pharmaceutical Companies

Because of financial entanglements between pharmaceutical companies and the agencies that regulate them, public health agencies in the U.S. have been turned into veritable pharmaceutical companies. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, for instance, receives 45% of its annual budget from Big Pharma, Kennedy explains.2

The NIH, meanwhile, owns thousands of pharmaceutical patents, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention spends $4.9 billion a year out of its $12 billion budget buying and distributing vaccines. It...

On The Verge Of A Banking Industry Apocalypse? "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog.

Every time that they tell us that everything is fine, things just seem to get even worse.  This banking crisis was supposed to be over after Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank collapsed.  It wasnt.  Then it was supposed to be over after First Republic collapsed.  It wasnt.

By now, most of you already know about what has been happening to PacWest, Western Alliance, First Horizon, and countless other regional bank stocks.  In all my years, I have never seen banking stocks fall so quickly.  If this avalanche continues to pick up momentum, pretty soon we will have to stop talking about a banking industry crisis and start talking about a banking industry apocalypse.

Ironically, I think that CNN has actually summarized the current state of affairs better than anyone else

A summary of where things stand in the banking crisis:

The Fed: Banks are fine.

The Treasury: Banks are fine.

The banks: Were fine.

Wall Street: Everybody sell, the banks are on fire!

On Thursday, PacWest released a carefully worded statement that was supposed to calm investors down

Our message remains consistent with what was conveyed last week with earnings. As previously announced, the Company has explored strategic asset sales, including moving the $2.7 billion Lender Finance loan portfolio to held for sale in 1Q23. This planned sale remains on track and upon completion will accelerate our CET1 capital ratio to 10%+ (from 9.21% at 1Q23). Additionally, in accordance with normal practices the Company and its Board of Directors continuously review strategic options. Recently, the Company has been approached by several potential partners and investors discussions are ongoing. The company will continue to evaluate all options to maximize shareholder value.

But instead this statement sparked a massive wave of panic and the stock dropped more than 50 percent

The rout in regional banks picked up steam again on Thursday morning, with several stocks suffering sizeable losses.

PacWest sank 50.6% was halted for volatility multiple times. The slide began on We...

In the months leading up to his milestone birthday, Royal British Legion made a call for people to send Horsfall birthday cards, as the vet has no living relatives of his own. In the end, Horsfall accumulated over 3,000 birthday cards, including one from King Charles III.

Horsfall served in the British military during WWII, earning the role of a sergeant in the British Army's Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. After leaving the service, he worked as a private pilot for 50 years. Although Horsfall was married and had one son as well as a sister, he has no surviving relatives. Ernest lives in a residential home and has no immediate family, so the RBL's Blackpool branch have started an appeal to send him birthday cards, the Royal British Legion tweeted, including also a mailing address for people to send their cards.

The Second World War generation is inevitably diminishing, but occasions like this are an opportunity for the RBL to remind everyone that their service and sacrifice means something and will never be forgotten, says Rachel Venables, the membership engagement manager for the Royal British Legion. Horsfall was over the moon to open so many cards. His girlfriend also visited from Iceland to be with him on his special day.

Horsfall credits his long life to living as happy as you can and keeping a straight mind. We wish him many more happy years.

Everything We Know About the Coronation of King Charles III "IndyWatch Feed Satire"

Hear ye, hear ye! The coronation of King Charles III will take place tomorrow, long live the king! Here is everything we know so far about this historic, momentous occasion:

Charles III won the right to the crown after defeating Queen Elizabeth II in armed combat

While Elizabeths melee weapon skills were unparalleled, the rules of challenge did not explicitly ban handguns, a fact that Charles exploited in their battle.

Once Crowned, you can walk right up to King Charles III and mess with him and he has to just stand there and take it

He is forbidden to react or even smile.

The Coronation will take place at Westminster Abby, between the 11 a.mm dog show and the 4 p.m. dog show

A bundle handstamp is available

Charles will actually be sharing the throne with his notoriously inappropriate brother, Roman Roy

Eating Disorders Among Teens More Severe Than Ever "IndyWatch Feed Health"

From NBC News: Teen eating disorders have never been this rampant or this severe.

Hospitalizations for eating disorders spiked during the pandemic, doubling among adolescent girls, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. While most teens have returned to a normal life of in-person school, sports and social activities, eating disorders, especially anorexia, remain at an all-time high, experts warn.

The kids are not OK, said Melissa Freizinger, the associate director of the eating disorder program at Boston Childrens Hospital. As the pandemic started and then progressed, we kept thinking, Oh, its going to get better in 2022. Oh, its going to get better in 2023. But it hasnt.

Eating disorder-related health visits which include hospital stays, pediatrician visits, telehealth talk therapy, and everything in between more than doubled among people younger than 17 in the past five years, according to a recent report from the data company Trilliant Health. From 2018 through mid-2022, visits among this age group  jumped 107.4% across all eating disorders, from around 50,000 visits at the beginning of 2018 to more than 100,000 in 2022. Visits related to anorexia nervosa, which has the highest death rate of any mental illness, jumped 129.26%.

The pandemic [policies] worsened the incidence of anxiety and depression both are risk factors for triggering or worsening eating disorders.

While eating disorder-related visits dipped slightly after a peak in 2021, theyre nowhere near pre-pandemic levels as adolescents and younger teens cope with the after-effects of Covid, such as grieving for family members who have died, falling behind in school or losing touch with friends.

And the patients coming in with eating disorders are in more serious condition now, with both mental and physical symptoms appearing more urgent, experts say.

Theyre sicker than before, and theyre more complicated than they were before, said Bos...

Best Signs From the Writers Guild of America Strike Show How Creative They Are With Words "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Best Signs From the Writers Guild of America Strike Show How Creative They Are With Words

On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, the Writers Guild of America (WGA)aka Hollywoods writerswent on strike. After six weeks of contract negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), the WGA announced its members would walk off the job. The labor union represents about 11,500 people who write for the television shows and movies we enjoy at home and in theaters. Their protesting brings productions to a halt, the likes of which have not been seen since the last strike in 20072008.

So, why is the WGA striking? There are many reasons, but one is regarding residuals in the face of streaming services. A writer receives money every time the episode they wrote re-airs on a television network. For those with a show in syndication like Friends, that can mean a substantial amount of income. But with on-demand services like Hulu and Netflix, the residuals for a show are much lowerdespite how many times an episode might be viewed. This makes it unsustainable for writers.

Driven in large part by the shift to streaming, writers are finding their work devalued in every part of the business. While company profits have remained high and spending on content has grown, writers are falling behind, the WGA said in a statement. The companies have used the transition to streaming to cut writer pay and separate writing from production, worse...

Top news right now: Actor Scott Baio announces hes leaving California after over 40 years due to Democrat-led destruction of the state. Baio cited the skyrocketing rates of homelessness and crime as the main reasons for his departure from Los Angeles. The most recent survey conducted by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority found roughly 69,000 homeless people in L.A. County compared to 41,000 in the city in 2022. Baio further asserts that homelessness brings down property value and there are no consequences for rampant crime, leading to higher prices and a lack of safety. Max Naylors Ethereal Landscapes in Ink and Oil Paint Defy Natures Rules "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

An otherworldly colored landscape with foliage and a lake

Narcissus (2023), ink on paper, 51 x 66 centimeters. All images Max Naylor, shared with permission

Working in vivid washes of ink and oil paint, artist Max Naylor renders impressionistic dreamscapes that emerge from nostalgic recollections and imagined spaces. Focusing on natural textures like gilled mushrooms scaling a tree trunk  or the soft ripples of water, Naylor creates what he calls a parallel universe, a microcosm that is similar to our world but free from the shackles of reality. The scenes often veer toward the unnatural, favoring otherworldly color palettes and unlikely lighting. In these spaces, it can be night and day simultaneously, he says. You can stare up at the sky whilst noticing the plants flowering at your feet.

The ethereal qualities of Naylors works echo his process, which involves letting the fluid materials dictate the contours of the compositions and allowing the landscapes to well up from my subconscious and spill onto the surfaceThe works in ink are made quickly. At the same time, Im working on larger oil paintings that take much longer. Working at these different tempos keeps things fresh and exciting for me, with the works in ink continually informing the works in oil.

Based in Bristol, Naylor has a studio at Spike Island and currently teaches at Londons Royal Drawing School. You can find more of his landscapes on Instagram.

The Banking Crisis Has Only Just Begun "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

The banking crisis is far from over; in fact, it has only just begun. The recent fragility and collapse of several high-profile banks are most likely not an isolated phenomenon as the ruling class would have us believe.

In the near term, a damaging combination of fast-rising interest rates, major changes in work patterns, and the potential of a recession could prompt a credit crunch not seen since the 2008 financial crisis. Even though Federal Reserve chair Jay Powell raised interest rates, he also said yesterday that the U.S. banking system is sound and resilient.

But its become glaringly obvious to anyone paying attention that the banking system in the United States is barely hanging on. The New York Times also says

Just in the past few months, Silicon Valley Bank, Signature Bank, and First Republic Bank have failed. Their combined assets surpassed those held by the 25 banks (when adjusted for inflation) that collapsed at the height of the financial crisis. While some experts and policymakers believe that the resolution of First Republic Bank on Monday indicates the turbulence in the industry is coming to an end, I believe this may be premature. On Thursday, shares of PacWest and Western Alliance are falling as investors fears spread. Adverse conditions have significantly weakened the ability of many banks to withstand another credit shock and its clear that a big one may already be on its way. New York Times

Regional bank shares have been plummeting in the past few days too. First Horizon shares took a 37% dive at todays open, bringing its market cap down to around $5 billion, according to a report by Axios.

First Horizon Shares Crash After TD Bank Deal Terminated

Some are warning that this banking crisis is not only going to get worse, but its going to be the worst economic calamity human beings have ever seen.
