Chunky Leg Desk "IndyWatch Feed Diy"

About This Desk

This is a very simple desk, made using 2x6 legs and a 1x top.  The modern styling creates a beautiful frame for your decor and compliments your space.

This desk can be painted or stained any color.

More Plans in This Collection

I love this style so much, I made more plans in this collection.  I'll keep adding to it - it is a beautiful style!

How I Build This Desk

This desk was a pretty easy build.  I used a pocket hole jig to make the piece look more professional, with all hidden joints.  The pocket hole jig also made it more sturdy.  If you don't have a pocket hole jig, watch how I made the matching coffee table with just a brad nailer.

First, I build the tabletop surface in the size I wanted.

Then I used a jigsaw to cut out the corners of the tabletop for the legs to show through.

how to build a desk

Then, I measured and cut the 1x4 side aprons, and drilled 3/4" pocket holes on the ends and facing upward (pictured upside down above).  I attach the 1x4 apron to the underside of the tabletop with 1-1/4" pocket holes.

Canadian companies licensed to sell cocaine "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

From insidepaper.com: Canadian biosciences company Sunshine Earth Labs announced Thursday it has been licensed to produce and sell cocaine, reflecting the federal health agencys bid to improve safety conditions for the countrys addicts. The licensing deal comes after a radical policy shift to address an opioid overdose crisis that has killed thousands, by decriminalizing small amounts of cocaine, heroin and other hard drugs. Ottawa granted a criminal code exemption in January to British Columbia for the three-year pilot project, with the aim of removing the stigma associated with drug use that keeps people from seeking help. Advocates have also been pushing for safer supplies of drugs to be made available to addicts who face a risk of dying from toxic drug poisoning linked to illicit street drugs. Sunshine Earth Labs said in a statement it received permission from Health Canada to legally possess, produce, sell and distribute coca leaf and cocaine, as well as morphine, MDMA (ecstasy) and heroin. Its announcement comes on the heels of a similar licensing arrangement offered in February to Adastra Labs, which had until now focused on crafting cannabis extracts. Adastras license also allows it to produce and sell psilocybin and psilocin hallucinogens more commonly known as magic mushrooms that produce effects similar to LSD. We will evaluate how the commercialization of this substance fits in with our business model at Adastra in an effort to position ourselves to support the demand for a safe supply of cocaine, chief executive Michael Forbes said. British Columbia is only the second jurisdiction in North America to decriminalize hard drugs after the US state of Oregon did so in November 2020. The Canadian province is the epicenter of a crisis that has seen more than 10,000 overdose deaths since it declared a public health emergency in 2016. That rep...

Inside Bitcoin Lake: Lessons From My Months As A Volunteer With Guatemala's Groundbreaking Project "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

A volunteer from Guatemalas Bitcoin Lake project shares the rewards of working on this circular economy.

Bitcoin is a disruptive technology that has emerged as a fundamental component of the financial industry. My work at Bitcoin-friendly companies has allowed me to observe the many ways in which Bitcoin is transforming the industry. Looking to contribute more, I embarked on a Bitcoin-only journey and joined the non-profit project, Bitcoin Lake.

Located in Panajachel, Guatemala, Bitcoin Lake launched just over a year ago. The project aims to create a circular economy powered by Bitcoin, providing a novel and accessible solution for unbanked as well as banked merchants. In Guatemala, approximately 60% of the adult population doesn't have access to formal financial services, and Bitcoin Lake's initiative to onboard merchants has a significant impact on the local community.

I have seen firsthand that this project has successfully onboarded more than 60 merchants, of whom 90% are unbanked and solely accept cash and bitcoin. The project continues to seek support and ways to enhance the experience for the Bitcoiners there. The Bitcoin tuk tuk (see figure one below) and the Bitcoin boat (cleverly named Peer To Peer) are examples of such initiatives.

a very common vehicle in Panajachel.

Bitcoin Lake has made significant strides in a short period. Business owners are astounded by the ease of using Bitcoin, and the education projects have been an outstanding success. Centro Educativo Josu, Guatemala's first school to receive the "Mi Primer Bitcoin" course, has seen its students gain an exceptional understanding of Bitcoin. The progress and impact of Bitcoin Lake are significant and serve as an inspiration to all.

During my first month volunteering with Bitcoin Lake, my understanding and dedication to Bitcoin has grown significantly. As one of my first tasks, I collected data to assess the progress made in one year. As shown in figures two, three and four below, charts illustrate the flow of bitcoin in the project and the number of transactions completed within the past year, indicating significant growth.

Deciding to decline, or deciding to wait and see? "IndyWatch Feed Fertility"

Birth decisions arent always as clear-but as some people think.

I have a friend called Jenna who became my friend after being a past midwifery client. We reconnected a few years after her birth when I asked her if I could share elements of her care story in Whats Right For Me? Making decisions in pregnancy and childbirth.

Jenna was, of course a pseudonym and she and her partner Dev had been through a journey of decision-making around so-called post-term pregnancy.

In a nutshell, Jenna questioned why induction was recommended simply because a certain date had been reached. I looked at the research for her, so I could give her the actual risk statistics. More than twenty years later, Im the author of two books about induction and Jennas baby is at university.

The value of being clear

It was in writing about Jenna and Devs story that I first started paying attention to the importance of being really clear about what is being decided when decisions are made.

Because the nature of my practise as an independent midwife (and the beliefs that underpin that) meant that I worked with many women, couples and families who decided to decline certain interventions which are offered routinely at a particular point.

Im talking about things like...

Teenager Asks if Shes a Jerk for Crying on Purpose at a Dinner to Embarrass Her Dad and Brother "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Yikesthis sure doesnt sound like its gonna be a cakewalk, does it?

You can say that again!

So lets cut the chit-chat and get all the details in this story that a woman shared on the Am I the A**hole? page on Reddit.

Hang on tight!

AITA for crying at dinner on purpose to embarrass my dad and brother?

I know the title sounds ridiculous, but theres context!

Im currently in high school and I live with my dad and brother (my moms not in the picture anymore). While Im not very close with my father, hes not a bad dad. Hes just a little old fashioned so hes closer to my brother (they have the same hobbies, etc.).

Onto the problem: I dont know how it started, but for the past couple of my months both my dad and my brother will start teasing me about that time of the month any time I even get remotely irritated or upset at them. For example, my brother ate a snack of mine that I was saving, and when I got mad he just joked, oh no, is it that time again in a super annoying voice.

Ive kept trying to tell them separately and together that its really annoying and offensive, and I feel like theyre totally minimizing how I feel about things I feel I had valid reasons for being annoyed about. They just brush it off even MORE and chalk it up to my period no matter what time of the month it is.

Well, yesterday we had dinner with my whole family on my dads side for my aunts birthday. Before the dinner I got in a huge fight with my brother because he broke my iPad and instead of apologizing he just said the whole time of the month thing. I can admit that by the time we got to my Grand...

The Allegory of the cave for the 21st Century "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

The Allegory of the cave for the 21st Century

Rev. Kat Carroll Around 375 B.C., Plato wrote a series of books called The Republic. Book VII focuses on Platos philosophy on how people obtain knowledge about the better things in life; beauty, justice and what is good. But what if your observations are limited by your perception of reality and those who control it? I wonder what Plato would think of our ability to share ideas and knowledge at the speed of light via the world wide web.  It would be wonderful if always open and honest. But, our world views have been controlled and contrived, with well scripted propaganda played out as "news". This has been to direct the public on how to think, feel and act. Youve seen movies with public speakers and town criers yelling hear ye, hear ye.  Then came telegraph, printed newspaper and radio. Radio began broadcasting in the early 1920s, using their voices to inform and influence public opinion. Shortly after came television and a whole new way to influence people, including subliminal programing, still carried out today. Throughout WWII the entertainment industry was often controlled by the government to show the war in a positive light and keep civilian spirits high. Joseph Goebbels, German propaganda minister, called the radio the eighth great power, noting the influence of radio in promoting the Third Reich. Propaganda was also used In World War II to demoralize American GIs in the Pacific and European theatres. Anonymous voices on the radio were mixed with selected American music to push the virtues of Japanese and Nazi causes.  Servicemen were encouraged to stop fighting while false claims of American defeats along with Japanese or Nazi victories were aired.  In some instance, family members back home were mentioned as well as specific platoons. GIs dubbed the voice from Japan Tokyo Rose and the two from Germany were called Axis Sa...

Jupiters Official Moon Count is Now at a Staggering 92 "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Thanks to the discovery of 12 new moons in Jupiters orbit, the gas giant officially has the most known moons in the Solar System at 92, surpassing Saturns 83 satellites. Dr. Scott Sheppard spent the past couple of years tracking Jupiters new moons, which are now published by the Minor Planet Center.

Jupiter Moons featured image Jupiters Official Moon Count is Now at a Staggering 92

All 12 of the new moons are too small for official names, take at least 550 days to complete one orbit, and are located in different orbiting groups. Nine are part of distant moon clusters that orbit Jupiter in retrograde, meaning they revolve around the planet in the opposite direction to the inner moons. The other three were within the prograde satellites, meaning they orbit from west to east, located between the large Galilean moons and the distant retrograde clusters.

Astronomers believe the new mini-moons are fragments left behind after larger moon collisions millions of years ago. We dont know exactly what crashed into the ancient moons, but Sheppards research from 2018 suggests that Valetudo, one of Ju...

9 Signs Of Being Raised By A Highly Critical Parent "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

When you are raised by a highly critical parent, it can shape you into who you become as an adult. Adults who were raised by highly critical parents tend to share similar traits.

Not only can these effects be seen, but they can also be measured. Based on studies, overly critical parents have a major effect on their kids. In many cases, children who are raised by overly critical parents tend to struggle with themselves and with others. Below, I will go over these issues associated with being raised by an overly critical parent.

1. Struggling to regulate emotions.

Those who grew up with an overly critical parent will struggle to regulate their emotions and will have major mood swings. This is largely part to the fact that after you have been torn down for so long, it can wear down your central nervous system and can make it hard for you to regulate emotions.

2. Difficulty trusting yourself.

We develop our sense of self-esteem through our encounters with our parents. In a way, our parents show us how to trust ourselves. However, when your parent is overly critical, it can damage the way you view yourself.

3. Difficulty trusting others.

Additionally, we learn how to trust others from our encounters with our parents. If our parents were constantly dragging us down and always making us feel bad about ourselves, it can make it much harder to trust others in the future.

4. You tend to shy away from new challenges.

Do you shy away from new challenges? Fear of the unknown could be caused by having an overly critical person. Deep down, you may struggle to believe you have the ability to tackle lifes challenges because your parents were always chipping away at your self-esteem.

5. Mistakes throw you off balance.

Having an overly critical parent can have you believing that the slightest mistake is the end of the world. While many people bounce back, you may have a tendency to be way too hard on yourself. So, when mistakes happen, it can take time for you to come back from them.

6. Struggles with perfectionism.

A lot of children with overly critical parents overcompensate for perfectionism. In their minds, if they can be perfect, there will be nothing to criticize. Unfortunately, perfection doesnt exist, so this unreachable standard can make life even harder.

7. Feeling the need to always apologize.

Are you always apologizing? When you grow up with an overly critical parent, you may feel as though nothing you ever do is enough. So, when something happens, you just go ahead and apologize.

8. Being defensive in nature.

When you were raised by overly critical parents, it can leave you on edge. You may feel defensive and feel like everything someone says will be critical, because that is what you grew accustomed to.

9. You struggle with social anxiety.

Many people who grow up with overly critical pa...

Cats Bond With Their Owners Like Children Bond With Their Parents, According to Study "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

I have always been a dog person, but I do love cats as well. There may be a special place in my heart for dogs, but I can recognize the unique and special traits that make cat people as obsessed over their feline friends as I am over my canine ones.

However, while I would have imagined that cats viewed their owners as peasants or slaves (dont come for me) I can admit that I was wrong. According to a recent study that was published in Current Biology, cats bond with their owners in the same way kids do with their parents.

The study was carried out by Oregan State University. In their research, they point towards the massive amounts of studies that have sought to understand the social cognition of dogs, while not so much research has been done on cats. Despite fewer studies, research suggests we may be underestimating cats socio-cognitive abilities, they wrote.

To carry out their research, they carried out tests to understand the attachment styles of dogs and primates with three- eight month-old kittens and their human owners. They had each of the kittens spend a few minutes in a room with their owner, who then left them alone before later returning two minutes later.

They used the same criteria to grade the dogs and sorted 70 kittens into different attachment styles, according to how they greeted their owner upon their return.

Much like humans, kittens who were insecurely attached ignored their owners when they returned or acted clingy, Out of the kittens 64% of them were securely attached while 35% were insecurely attached.

Another thing worth mentioning, was when a kitten developed an attachment style, it remained steady over time.

What this all translates to is that the majority of cats use humans as a source of comfort, says lead author Kristyn Vitale. Cats are just as capable of forming attachments to their caregivers as dogs and even children, based on this study.

7 Signs Someone Likes You, Based on Science "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

When you are getting to know someone and the sparks are beginning to fly, you may wonder deep down how you can tell definitively if they like you. No one likes to assume they are liked, only to open themselves up and then be shut down.

So, we tend to doubt ourselves. We may tell ourselves that there is no way possible that this person likes us, even when the signs are blaring in our faces. So, it can be helpful to understand what the signs are, so you can use them as a point of reference. Below, I will cover 7 signs someone likes you, according to psychology.

1. They laugh at your jokes, even when they are bad.

When someone likes you, they will go out of their way to make you feel acknowledged. When you begin saying jokes and everyone but one person isnt laughing, that one person likely likes you more than you may realize.

2. They compliment you.

When someone likes you or has an interest in you, they will compliment you. They might compliment the way you are dressed or something about you. While what they are complimenting doesnt matter, if someone you like compliments you, then they likely like you too.

3. They want to hang out with you.

It might sound like common sense, but there again, we often doubt ourselves. We may believe it is too good to be true that someone likes us. However, if someone is always trying to spend time with you, then they like you.

4. They lean in when they are around you.

Pay attention to body language, as it says a lot about someones feelings toward you. If someone pulls back around you and crosses their arms, they are creating distance and probably dont like you. On the contrary, when someone leans into you when you are around, they like you.

5. They mirror you.

It is our nature to mirror the people we like. We may say similar words, or even hold ourselves up in a similar manner. When someone is trying to be more like you, its a good sign they like you.

6. They try to make you laugh.

Men especially will go out of their way to make a woman laugh if they like her. However, women do this too. If someone says something funny and then looks at you for a reaction, they like you.

7. They subliminally touch you.

When someone likes you, they will find a way to subliminally touch you. Let me be clear: this isnt a creepy or invasive touch. Instead, it will be a subtle brush of the arm or a gentle squeeze of the shoulder or hand.

For those of us who tend to get stuck in our heads, it may come as a surprise that most of us experience a mix of monologue and other thought patterns. Dread Scotts Visual Ballad to Nina Simone "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

The African-American singer, songwriter, pianist, and civil rights activist Nina Simone has inspired artist Dread Scott for years. In an exhibition at New Yorks Cristin Tierney Gallery opening April 28, Dread Scott Goddam, his art will now be in conversation with Simones music. The show will feature screenprints and paintings inspired by four of her revolutionary songs: Mississippi Goddamn (1964), Four Women (1966), I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to be Free (1967), and Pirate Jenny (1964).

Scott, a quiet yet humble man, opened the door to greet me during a recent visit to his Brooklyn studio, which resembles a warehouse at first appearance but gradually reveals his small, warm workplace. Born Scott Tyler in 1965 in Chicago, Illinois, the artist adopted his professional name after Dred Scott, an enslaved person who sued for his freedom in the North via the Dred Scott v. Sandford case of 1857. Scott wants his name to remind people that the racism and exploitation that led to the Supreme Court decision, which denied Black citizenship and upheld slavery, persists in America; in his latest series of works, he asks viewers to question how they contribute and conform to that reality.

Aaron Carters Mother Posted Pictures of Her Sons Death Scene to Prove That He Was Possibly Killed "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Warning: This article contains graphic pictures.

In November 2022, Aaron Carter was found dead in a bathtub in his Lancaster, California home. He was 34 years old. His death was quickly chalked up to drugs, mainly due to his past addictions.

However, as explained in my article Aaron Carter: The Suspicious Death of a Blatant Industry Slave, there were lots of strange facts and coincidences surrounding this untimely death. For starters, Aaron Carter literally said that people in the industry were trying to kill him.

In my article, I highlighted some similarities between Aaron Carter and Whitney Houston as they were both found dead in a bathtub. Also, in both cases, someone was allowed to access the crime scene (and possibly alter it) before the authorities could investigate it.

Now, there is yet another similarity between Carter and Houston: People close to them are saying that they were potentially murdered and that the investigations were botched.

In a desperate call for an actual homicide investigation, Aaron Carters mother posted on social media grisly pictures of the bathroom where the singer was found. Her goal: To prove that the official story doesnt add up.

Neutronpay And BitcoinVN To Host Lightningcon Vietnam, Asias First Bitcoin And Lightning Conference "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

In March, Bitcoin and Lightning builders and developers will congregate at a beachside resort in Da Nang, Vietnam.

Asias first Bitcoin and Lightning Network conference will take place in Da Nang, Vietnam, March 22-24, 2023 at the beachside Furama Resort, according to a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine.

Hosts Neutronpay and BitcoinVN will organize the event in the town which some have dubbed Bitcoin Beach Vietnam. The two companies, along with Nunchuk, are all Vietnam-based Bitcoin-only companies, and are excited to share what is happening in Asia as it relates to Bitcoin projects, Bitcoin communities and Lightning adoption across the region.

Founder and CEO of Neutronpay Albert Buu, said of the decision that When we looked around, we noticed that other parts of the world were being represented with Bitcoin and Lightning events, but Asia and more specifically emerging markets in Asia had none and were being completely overlooked considering high bitcoin usage in the region. Were proud to say that since we announced the event it has been highly talked about and is now on many people's yearly must-hit conference calendars.

Were extremely excited to be putting on the world's first bitcoin & lightning event in Asia, Malcolm Weed, COO of Neutronpay said, echoing Buu. Bitcoin adoption is very strong across the region with countries like Vietnam (1), Philippines (2), India (4), Pakistan (6), Thailand (8), and China (10) all being in the top 10 global rankings for bitcoin adoption, making it the world's bitcoin epicenter. With over 4B people in Asia, representing half the world's population, 70% of which are unbanked, it is no wonder bitcoin adoption is so strong.

Starting on March 22, the event will commence with a beach meet and greet, followed by two days of speakers who will share the latest advancements in the Bitcoin ecosystem. These presentations will cover both the technological and economic aspects of Bitcoin. Companies building on the Lightning Network are also expected to be well-represented and provide updates on the current state of affairs and exciting ongoing projects.

Due to the limited availability of tickets, only 500 attendees will be able to participate. General admission two-day passes are currently priced at $500, but prices will rise again on March 22. Local Vietnamese attendees can access the non-profit event at a discounted rate of $40. The press release strongly encourages local participants to attend and learn about the technology, as well as meet Vietnamese companies that are building on Bitcoin and Lightning.

Software developers from Vietnam that are interested in working with the Lightning Network, are encouraged to cont...

Organized by the School for Advanced Research (SAR) and the Vilcek Foundation, along with over 60 curators and 21 tribal communities represented, Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery paves the way for equitable collaborative possibilities between museums and communities. The exhibition, on view through May 29 then traveling to New York, Houston, and St. Louis, explores the themes of utility, elements, connections through time and space, and ancestors. Speaking to community members, artists, and staff from SAR, one thing is evident through showcasing Pueblo Pottery: The exhibition centers relationships.

Destiny: Dr. Edward Tick: Soul Medicine "IndyWatch Feed Uncanny"

An in-depth look at ancient Greek practices for profound, lasting healing

Explores hidden soul-healing practices including dream incubation and interpretation as well as sacred pilgrimage

Examines how dreams, visions, and other non-normative events reveal the conditions needed to restore the soul and facilitate healing

Includes successful healing techniques, practices, and case studies to reveal how healings are achieved with these methods

The modern practice of medicine and psychology grew out of the ancient Greek healing tradition, said to be founded by Asklepios, god of healing and dreams. For two thousand years the system spread all over the Mediterranean world and planted the roots of Western medicine and psychology by offering ritual and holistic practices that recognized that healing begins at the soul level. Yet, since that time, the spiritually based practices were cast aside, leaving behind only the scientific medical techniques that dominate health care today.

Resurrecting and restoring the sacred, mythological, and cultural origins of medicine and psychotherapy, Edward Tick, Ph.D., explores the soul-healing practices missing in our contemporary health systems. He looks at the dream incubation tradition of Asklepios, sacred theater of Dionysos, oracle gifting of Apollo, special practices of warriors, and their roots in Neolithic shamanism and indigenous traditions. Demonstrating the ritual use of dreams, visions, oracles, synchronicities, and pilgrimage for healing and connecting to the transpersonal and divine, he explains how dream incubation is a technique in which you plant a seed for a specific healing or growth goal.

Using both ancient wisdom and modern depth psychology alongside stories of healings from his more than 25 years of guiding Vietnam veterans on Greek pilgrimages, Tick explores how we all can use ancient healing philosophies and practices to achieve holistic healing today. He examines the interaction between mind and body (psyche and soma) and between physical illness and the soul to heal PTSD and trauma. He explains the art of making accurate and holistic interpretations of signs, symbols, and symptoms to determine what they reveal about the soul. Showing how dreams and other transpersonal experiences are essential components of soul medicine, the author reveals how restoration of the soul facilitates true healing.

Edward Tick, Ph.D., is a transformational psychotherapist, international pilgrimage guide, educator, author, and poet. A specialist in archetypal psychotherapy and the healing of violent trauma, he is the author of four nonfiction books, including The Practice of Dream Healing and War and the Soul. He lives in central Massachusetts.

Meet the Woman Who Lived in a Tree for Two Years To Save It From Loggers "IndyWatch Feed Arts"

Meet the Woman Who Lived in a Tree for Two Years To Save It From Loggers

They say those who stand for nothing will fall for anything. Taking a stand for what you believe in forms a person and creates change that ripples across society. For environmental activist Julia Butterfly Hill, the moment to take a stand came in December 1997. The then-23-year-old activist was road-tripping across California when she encountered a group of eco-warriors rotating through tree sits among Humboldt County's magnificent redwoods. Volunteering to go up for a week stint, Hill ended up spending over two years738 daysliving in the lofty branches of a magnificent, 200-foot-tall tree. Her actions, and those of her fellow activists, saved the tree from destruction by loggers.

The tree was in danger of being cut down by the Pacific Lumber Company. The tree itself was 1,000 years old and alive despite a past lightning strike. Activists named it Luna, after the Moon. Hill was recruited for a short stay on a six-by-four-foot platform made of reclaimed wood, but as we know, it was much longer than that.

The residency was not an easy one. Volunteers, including the radical environmental group Earth First!, passed up supplies in a bucket pully system. Hill cooked on a single-burner propane stove and slept in a tightly wrapped sleeping bag. Freezing temperatures and 40-mile-per-hour winds created danger. Helicopters circled, angry loggers harassed her, and the logging company laid siege to the tree for ten days trying to remove the activist.

During her tenure, Hill gave interviews and drew a great deal of attention (via solar-powered phones). She only came down once a resolution was reached with the logging company to preserve Luna and other trees within a 200-foot radius. Hill then went on to take more radical stands for the environment and to become a proponent of tax redirection (not paying one's taxes to the government, but directly donating to causes one believes deserve the funds).

As brave as Hill's stance in the tree was, beautiful young white women tend to get the kind of news coverage and praise other climate and Earth activists don't. For example, indigenous protesters at Standing Rock who were resisting the desecration of their lands by the Dakota Access Pipeline faced...

Lately on Twitter and the mainstream media there have been outcries against Fox news network. The angry rebukes against the conservative news channel that unlike the globalist bought off press corps actually covered the Benghazi attack while the rest ignored it. Rupert Murdoch practically created an organized conservative movement against the incessant disinformation we were getting from the Democrat lap dog media who distracted, deflected, and outright lied about most serious political issues as the nave public dumbly looked on and brainlessly nodded in agreement. Without those like Rush Limbaugh and William F. Yet, Fox is attacked by the very news outlets who regularly lie to their audiences or refuse to even report events at all!

More tape needs to be released

According to Sandy Rios on her morning show on AFR radio some 14,000 hours of surveillance tape are available and were being withheld despite subpoenas by the DC police. So far, only a thousand hours have been released, probably edited, and the GOP had given the job of analysis to Tucker Carlson of Fox news to analyze. Democrat long time parasite, Chuck Schumer, gave his rant against the GOP effort to get to the bottom of the alleged insurrection that President Trump somehow masterminded as known FBI officials exhorted the crowd to commit violent acts, ANTIFA and BLM members were clearly photographed among the crowds, and this while the DC Police passively allowed peaceful patriots into the Capital Building who have been charged by federal prosecutors for heinous crimes. Building a Log Cabin With Hand Tools "IndyWatch Feed Diy"

Bill Sullivan originally wrote this article in 1981 about how to build a small log cabin and then it was reprinted and updated at www.motherearthnews.com.

My wife and I kept down the cash outlay for our Walden by gathering most of the materials from the land where our house was to stand, and then building it ourselves, using only hand tools. As a result, our small home cost us only about $100 to construct and the project was so simple that were convinced anyone with access to a few basic implements and a good supply of timber could build a log cabin too.

One of the ways in which we kept our expenses down was to choose an uncomplicated design for our cabin. After researching several log house styles, we decided to build a home patterned after the Norwegian stabbur, which is a storehouse built on a raised foundation of pillars or stilts. A traditional stabbur also features extra-wide eaves, which repel rain and snow; small windows and a low door, which help reduce heat loss; and an upstairs loft, which serves to nearly double the available floor space.

The size of our cabin was limited more by our stamina than by the design. We didnt want to have to deal with logs any longer than 16 feet, so our home measures 10 feet by 13 feet inside. Creative planning and the careful placement of doors could allow a much larger house to be built, but I always encourage first-timers to think small (and then possibly add on needed space later).

NPA, ANH File Citizens Petition with FDA on NMN "IndyWatch Feed Food"

Washington, D.C.In November 2022, a notification by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) declared that beta-nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is not a legal dietary ingredient. In response, the Natural Products Association (NPA), along with the Alliance for Natural Health (ANH), submitted a Citizens Petition to FDA. The organizations are requesting that FDA:

  • Determine nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is not excluded from the definition of a dietary supplement under 21 U.S.C. 321(ff)(3)(B);
  • Commit to exercising enforcement discretion in connection with the marketing and selling of NMN in or as a dietary supplement; or
  • In the alternative, recommend the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) issue a regulation after notice comment, finding NMN would be lawful.

The agencys reversal on NMN NDIs is without statutory authority, said Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D., President and CEO of NPA, in a press release. The secrecy behind the IND dates, the evidence of a GRAS notice predating any IND on NMN, and NMSs presence in the food supply all couldve been rectified. Just like the case with NAC, the citizens petition gives the industry a platform to move towards a resolution concerning the ability to market NMN in or as a dietary supplement. In the case of NAC, NPAs Citizens Petition was the vehicle that made possible its return to commerce on all platformsNMN on Amazon.

System is Broken

In 2021, NPA filed a Citizens Petition, and followed that up in 2022 with a lawsuit against the FDA on NAC. Now, with the NMN situation as further evidence, Dr. Fabricant said: Issues surrounding NAC and NMN are glaring examples of the FDA fundamentally failing American consumers and industry. Todays Citizens Petition on NMN positions NPA to have all options available needed to ensure NMNs unwarranted regulatory uncertainty is rectified.

SRBMiner-MULTI v2.2.0 Released with Dynex Mining Support for AMD, Nvidia and Intel GPUs "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

comes with support for mining Dynex (DNX) that covers the not only already available Nvidia GPUs (via the official DynexSolve miner), but also adds support for DNX mining on AMD and Nvidia GPUs. The mining fee for mining Dynex with the SRBMiner-MULTI v2.2.0 is currently set at 3%. Earlier this year SRBMiner-MULTI added support for Nvidia GPUs in its major release 2 and since then the miner has introduced and gradually improved support for Intels ARC GPUs as well. SRBMiner-MULTI v2.2.0 is the first mining software to offer AMD and Intel ARC miners the ability to mine DNX, though mining DNX is still having issues with pools, so do not be discouraged if you have trouble connecting to a mining pool. This should hopefully soon be resolved as we also do have some trouble properly testing the new release at the moment.

A nice addition to the features for DNX miners from SRBMiner-MULTI is the ability to use multiple mining pools and mallobs, that can help you if you are having pool connectivity issues. There is currently no adj option available to set manually the number of Dynex chips to be simulated like on the official DynexSolve miner, but you can use the --gpu-intensity parameter for that. Another useful feature is the ability to dual-mine Dynex (DNX) and Zilliqa (ZIL) with SRBMiner-MULTI, so that can help in getting some nice extra profit as opposed to just single mining Dynex. Nvidia users might also try and compare the performance of the official DynexSolve 2.2.5 miner (no dev fee here) to what SRBMiner-MULTI v2.2.0 miner offers on their hardware (3% dev fee), feel free to share your results in the comments below if you do so.

Zero point Energy Fact or Fiction and the Dangers "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

Image result for ARV UFO

Nikola Tesla predicted that one day mankind would tap into natures unseen energy fields within thin air and that we would have limitless power for which to run all machines and forms of transportation. Mark McCandless, a top secret cleared defense contractor got a call from a close colleague who witnessed a 1988 demonstration of ARVs (Alien Reproduction Vehicles) three saucer type vessels hovering in air, all different sizes. Problem that his close friend and top secret cleared technician worried that he had stumbled upon a demonstration he had not been cleared to see.

Dead UFO researchers (1) - YouTube

Give me liberty or death

Its hard for many people to grasp, especially the leftist big government conformists who want that bureaucracy to fight all their battles for them while wiping out the right of all those who disagree to be heard through free speech. Theyre undying faith in government in the refusal to believe in God blinds them to what government actually does to those who have seen or heard too much. They end up dead! A large number of zero point energy researchers and anti-gravity machine creators have mysteriously died at early ages, due to strange causes, or sudden and aggressive diseases that usually take a long time to kill the patient, yet for the targeted individual who knows too much, kill in record time. Coincidence? Hardly.

Top 10 Suppressed Inventions

The enigmatic UFO

Zero point energy works according to quantum mechanics theory under the belief that either in the empty spaces of the atmosphere or in the vacuum of space that unseen energy waves or fields continually open and close and it is from this source of energy that power can be derived by the proper device and a form of propulsion system free of G forces that can be generated. Any military pilot who chased these enigmatic UFOs noted he was easily outdistanced and that the unknown crafts could make sharp turns at speeds that would have crushed a conventional aircraft and killed the pilot due to the extreme gravitational forces encountered, but for an ARV such performance could be effortless without any G Force being exerted upon the occupants of the saucer shaped craft.

Baseball Fans Can Now Instantly Receive Bitcoin After Perth Heats Most Exciting Plays "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

A new Lightning partnership will let Perth Heat fans scan QR codes after stolen bases and home runs, rewarding them with bitcoin instantly.

The Perth Heat, the Australian Baseball Leagues most successful baseball team, has announced a new partnership that rewards fans in bitcoin every time a player from Perth Heat steals a base or hits a home run.

The partnership with Bitrefill, Wallet of Satoshi and IBEX will allow fans to Steal Sats by scanning a QR code displayed on the game stream or on the team's social media channels when a player makes an impressive play. Fans will receive their reward instantly after scanning the code with a Lightning-enabled wallet, introducing a novel fan interaction system that brings further excitement to thrilling moments in games.

"We are thrilled to be launching Stealing Sats in partnership with Bitrefill, Wallet of Satoshi, and IBEX," Steven Nelkovski, CEO of the Perth Heat, said in a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine. "This is an innovative way to engage with our fans and offer them something new and exciting. We believe this program will further enhance the fan experience and incentivize our players to push themselves to achieve their best on the field."

The baseball team made headlines in 2021 when they adopted a Bitcoin standard and integrated Lightning, becoming the first professional sports team to do so. Afterwards, the Heat proved their desire to further integrate Bitcoin, widely introducing Lightning services to their stadium and fan experiences. The team then announced sats4stats, which is a way to boost fans favorite players through the Lightning Network.

The latest introduction of Stealing Sats is simply another innovation for the team using Bitcoin and Lightning.

Ry Sterling, business development at IBEX, described how they seek to play a role in revolutionizing fan engagement, saying, At IBEX our focus is spreading innovation via the Lightning network and with the lead from Perth Heat, #stealingsats and #satsforstats has opened our eyes to a whole new market of global fandom that we had not considered before.

Chris Pavlesic, Bitrefills Australia manager, said that "With Stealing Sats, fans can now participate in the game in a whole new way, and we are excited to see how this will continue to evolve over time."

Daniel Alexiuc, CEO at Wallet of Satoshi added, "The whole team at Wallet of Satoshi is really excited about Stealing Sats with Perth Heat It's such an innovative way to demonstrate that Bitcoin is easy and it is for everybody.

Ethereum Technical Specification: A Comprehensive Guide for Altcoin Enthusiasts "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

As the world of cryptocurrency continues to grow, more and more altcoins are being introduced to the market. One of the most popular and widely used altcoins is Ethereum. Ethereum is a decentralized platform that allows developers to build decentralized applications (DApps) using smart contracts. In this article, we will explore the technical specification of Ethereum and its relevance to altcoin enthusiasts.

What is Ethereum?

Ethereum is a blockchain-based platform that allows developers to build decentralized applications. It was launched in 2015 by Vitalik Buterin and has quickly become one of the most popular and widely used altcoins in the world. Ethereum is different from other altcoins because it allows developers to create smart contracts, which are self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement between buyer and seller being directly written into lines of code.

Ethereum Technical Specification

The Ethereum Technical Specification is a document that outlines the technical details of the Ethereum platform. It provides an in-depth analysis of the platforms architecture, consensus mechanisms, and programming languages. The technical specification is divided into four main sections: the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), the Ethereum Protocol, the Ethereum Whisper Protocol, and the Ethereum Swarm.

Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)

The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) is a runtime environment for smart contracts in Ethereum. It is a Turing-complete virtual machine that allows developers to write smart contracts using programming languages like Solidity, Vyper, and Serpent. The EVM executes code in a sandboxed environment, which means that smart contracts are isolated from the rest of the system, ensuring security and reliability.

Ethereum Protocol

The Ethereum Protocol is the backbone of the Ethereum network. It is a set of rules and procedures that govern the communication and behavior of nodes on the network. The protocol defines how transactions are validated, how new blocks are added to the blockchain, and how the consensus mechanism works. The Ethereum Protocol is designed to be flexible and adaptable, allowing for easy upgrades and improvements.

Ethereum Whisper Protocol

The Ethereum Whisper Protocol is a communication protocol that allows for secure and anonymous messaging between nodes on the Ethereum network. It is designed to be lightweight and efficient, making it ideal for decentralized applications that require real-time messaging.

Ethereum Swarm

Ethereum Swarm is a decentralized storage platform that allows developers to store and retrieve data on the Ethereum network. It is a peer-to-peer network that is designed to be fault-tolerant and highly available. Developers can use Swarm to store data for their decentralized applications, ensuring that data is stored securely and reliably.

River And Bitcoin Magazine Announce Lightning Partnership To Accelerate Adoption Of Bitcoin "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The partnership is aimed at enabling further access to bitcoin while encouraging more education.

Bitcoin technology company, River Financial Inc. has partnered with Bitcoin Magazine to provide users with the ability to sign up with River and purchase bitcoin through the Bitcoin Magazine App.

Users were already able to earn free sats by reading articles on the app, that they can then withdraw to a River wallet or another wallet of the user's choice. This now now be done through the Lightning Network, making the process even faster. "This new partnership provides the on-ramp for millions of people to not only buy Bitcoin but actually earn it by learning," said Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey.

River CEO Alex Leishman also commented on the partnership, stating "River shares this mission and serves as a gateway for people who want to learn about and invest in Bitcoin." The integration is now live on the Bitcoin Magazine app, with BTC purchases and Lightning transfers available on River via the River app or at River.com, the release added.

The partnership between River Financial and Bitcoin Magazine is focused on educating individuals about Bitcoin and providing them with the opportunity to invest in the digital asset in a secure and efficient manner.

While the broader crypto industry has suffered from bad actors in recent months, there are still innovative, mission-focused companies like River and Bitcoin Magazine that are working to cultivate a more fair and just financial system, the release noted.

The Lightning Network has been gaining traction as a fast and cheap way to transfer Bitcoin, and this partnership between River Financial and Bitcoin Magazine is another example of how it can benefit users. With the ability to earn free sats through reading articles on the app, and now the ability to easily purchase bitcoin through River, users have much easier access to opportunities to learn about and invest in bitcoin.

Fixing The Incentives: How Fiat Money Broke The World "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The global history of fiat money and U.S. world reserve status has incentivized many countries to abandon their own cultures and sovereignty.

This is an opinion editorial by Jimmy Song, a Bitcoin developer, educator and entrepreneur and programmer with over 20 years of experience.

In the first three parts of this series, I examined the different ways that fiat money has led to terrible incentives at the individual, corporate and national levels. We are more isolated than ever, we are less satisfied with our work and we work under tyrannical, authoritarian governments as a result of fiat money. In this article, I go through the ways the entire world is incentivized by fiat money.

The previous articles spoke more generally about how individuals, companies and nations are affected by fiat money. This article will be a lot more specific as there's only the one world we live in and we don't need to speak generally. Thus, I will start this article with some historical context as that will give us a better understanding of why the financial incentives in the world are the way they are.

Bretton Woods

We start the analysis of global fiat money incentives with one of the major historical events that precipitated the world we live in today and that's the Bretton Woods Agreement from 1944.

Bretton Woods is a small town in New Hampshire where government bureaucrats from all over the world came to establish what they called "a new monetary world order." If that sounds ominous and sinister, that's because it is.

The idea of the conference was to fix the problems from World War I (WWI), where reparation payments and loopholes around the then re-established gold standard wreaked havoc over so many economies and eventually led to World War II (WWII). Returning to the pre-WWI gold standard was too difficult to square with the central banking monetary control that every country had gotten used to, so the conference was a way to figure out how to establish some other monetary order.

The main problems were that every country wanted the legitimacy of gold but also the stealth taxation of central bank fiat money. The solution they came up with was to add a level of indirection to gold redemption.

Prior to WWI, gold was convertible directly at banks. In the U.S., you could exchange $20.67 for one ounce of gold. In the U.K., you could exchange 4.25 for one ounce......

Shift Crypto Announces Partnership With Pocket Bitcoin Allowing DCA Within BitBox02 Hardware Wallet "IndyWatch Feed Crypto"

The partnership will provide a secure and easy way to purchase and store self-custodial bitcoin, through a widget in the BitBoxApp.

Swiss-based hardware wallet manufacturer Shift Crypto has announced a long-term partnership with Swiss bitcoin broker Pocket Bitcoin. The collaboration aims to provide an easy and secure way to purchase and store self-custodial bitcoin.

Pocket Bitcoin already offers a dollar-cost averaging (DCA) service, and the partnership with Shift Crypto will make it even simpler and more secure, according to a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine. The BitBox02 hardware wallet allows users to safely store and transact bitcoin. Its code is open-source, including the companion BitBoxApp, which has now integrated the Pocket Bitcoins widget to allow investors to buy bitcoin directly to their hardware wallet.

At Pocket Bitcoin, our goal is to make buying bitcoin as easy as making a bank transfer, said David Knezi, CEO and co-founder of Pocket Bitcoin. We have created a way for customers to buy bitcoin without having to open an account or identify themselves. Our customers receive their bitcoin directly into their wallet. For this, there is no better partner than Shift Crypto and we are excited to work with them to make buying and storing bitcoin even easier.

Through the new widget, BitBoxs users can now easily set up a DCA without going through extensive KYC processes. There is no verification required for orders up to 950 (~$1,000) per day. In addition, users can share their xpub, which includes all bitcoin addresses from their account. This feature allows for the bitcoin to be paid out to new, unused bitcoin addresses, which increases privacy when using bitcoin.

Douglas Bakkum, CEO and co-founder of Shift Crypto, said his company believes everyone deserves financial sovereignty. In our vision, that starts with the optimal security provided by a hardware wallet. Together with Pocket Bitcoin, this continues by enabling individuals to acquire bitcoin directly in the BitBoxApp while staying in full control at all times. We are excited to partner with Pocket Bitcoin, a company that matches our values of self-custody and financial freedom.

The partnership offers a cheaper service for European customers, with the option to buy bitcoin via bank transfer at a 1.5% fee. To celebrate their partnership, the two companies are offering a bonus of 10k sats on all first-time transactions via the new BitBoxApp integration until March 15th, 2023.

Countless Americans Plunge Into Despair As Hunger Spreads Like Wildfire All Across America "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog.

We havent seen anything like this in a long time.  A couple of factors are combining to push millions of Americans into a state of food insecurity.  First of all, food prices have been rising aggressively throughout the past year, so our money does not go nearly as far as it once did.  Meanwhile, food stamp benefits are being slashed.

The federal government had greatly enhanced food stamp benefits for many Americans during the pandemic, but now that emergency program is coming to an end.  So what this means is that many Americans are going to have very little money to spend on food at a time when economic conditions are starting to get really rough.

The Washington Post recently sent a reporter named Tim Craig to Kentucky, and he discovered that poor people are waiting in a mile-long line just to get some free food

As he claimed the first spot in a mile-long line for free food in the Appalachian foothills, Danny Blair vividly recalled receiving the letter announcing that his pandemic-era benefit to help buy groceries was about to be slashed.

Kentucky lawmakers had voted to end the states health emergency last spring, by default cutting food stamp benefits created to help vulnerable Americans like Blair weather the worst of covid-19. Instead of $200 a month, he would get just $30.

Blair actually gets up at 4 AM in the morning so that he can be first in line for these handouts.

On the Friday that the reporter from the Washington Post interviewed him, he ended up staying in that line for nine hours.

I couldnt imagine waiting in line for that long, but Blair feels like this is what he and his wife must do in order to survive

He crumpled up the letter and threw it on the floor of his camper.

I thought, Wow, the government is trying to kill us now, said Blair, 63, who survives on his Social Security disability check and lives in a mobile home with his wife after their house burned down five years ago. They are going to starve us out.

Whitney Webb on the Globalist Overlords Meeting in Davos "IndyWatch Feed Spiritual"

From Dr. Mercola:

Story at-a-glance

  • Investigative journalist Whitney Webb reveals the inner workings of the World Economic Forum (WEF), the driving force behind The Great Reset
